An Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft designed with Diamonds has caused a stir on social media after it made an appearance ahead of the festive season.
The airline took to Twitter to unveil the plane’s new look, which saw every square inch of its livery covered in diamonds, making for a pretty spectacular sparkling effect.
Unsurprisingly, it sent aviation fans into meltdown, with the image garnering thousands of likes and retweets.
Twitter users began speculating on everything from the cost of the project to the routes it would be flying so people could look out for it in the skies.
Meanwhile skeptics questioned whether the plane would be able to take-off with the additional weight of the diamonds.
They were right to be doubtful, as the diamond-encrusted plane isn’t real, but rather the result of nifty photo editing skills.
Emirates highlighted that the image had been ‘created’ by artist Sara Shakeel in the image’s accompanying caption, writing “Presenting the Emirates ‘Bling’ 777. Image created by Sara Shakeel.”
Sara, a former dentist turned ‘crystal artist’, regularly edits images to give them a bedazzled new look, posting the results on her Instagram account.
The Emirates plane was just another fun project on her list, ahead of a trip to Milan where she was going to be flying with the airline.
An herbalist, Amos Sulaimon, arrested alongside his client Supo Bamidele in Osun State, has told newsmen that he told his client to bring a human head and wrists in order to discourage him from engaging in money ritual.
Sulaimon, who was paraded by the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fimihan Adeoye, in Osogbo, alongside his client, said he had never been involved in money rituals, Punch Metro reports.
Adeoye told journalists that Bamidele was caught with a severed head and wrist in Ile-Ife, and upon his arrest, he told the police that his herbalist asked him to bring the human parts for ritual.
Explaining what transpired between him and his client, Sulaimon stated,
“I am an herbalist and I live and work in Ile-Ife. Bamidele had been coming to me to seek spiritual assistance. I inherited this job from my father and we don’t engage in money rituals.
“I don’t do evil nor engage in money rituals. In the last four months, Bamidele had been disturbing me for spiritual assistance, because he claimed that his business was not doing well and that he wanted a charm that could improve his fortunes.
“Because he would not allow me to rest, I told him to bring a human head and wrist. It was a ploy to scare him away. I never knew he would go to the extent of looking for the items.”
Responding to questions from journalists, Bamidele, who sells planks, said he resorted to fortune-changing charms because he was not doing well in the business.
Bamidele added that his wife and children had left him because he could not provide for their needs.
He added that he exhumed a corpse at a burial ground in Onikooko area of Ile-Ife, severed the head and wrist, and headed for the residence of the herbalist.
“I was, however, caught inside a tricycle that I took while going to my herbalist’s house. I didn’t know any of the people buried in the cemetery; I just went there and took the parts that I needed,” he stated.

Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige has warned the South-East not to vote against President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
Ngige said the Igbos could miss the opportunity to produce the president of the country in 2023 if they fail to support the president.
Ngige, speaking with reporters in Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State on Sunday, said Igbos have the chance to take over from Buhari in 2023 only if they play their cards right in the 2019 general elections.
Ngige stressed that President Buhari’s reelection was the South-East’s shortest route to the presidency.
He said, “This man (Buhari) has only one term (four years) to do and go home, and an Igboman will replace him. But if you leave this shortest route and take a gamble, you are on your own.
“If Igbo refuse to play their cards right in next year’s general elections, the South-West will take away the chance from them.
“They will produce the next president after Buhari, because the zone has shown demonstrable commitment to Buhari’s cause.
“My good friend Babatunde Fashola has blown the whistle. What he said should be a warning signal to the Igbo, because you can’t stop the South-West from producing the next president of the country after supporting Buhari and the APC government.
“That is why I’m telling our people now to come out en masse in next year’s election and vote for Buhari, so that nothing will stop you from succeeding him in 2023.”
He further described the vice-presidential slot given to the Igbo by the Peoples Democratic Party as a “mere spare tyre that might be used for over six years”.
The South-East zone has failed in their bid to have one of their own as the leader of the country since the return of democratic rule in 1999.

Meanwhile Davido is no longer a corps member.
The singer revealed this during an exchange with a colleague on Instagram today, saying that the administrators of the National Youth Service Corps canceled his service.
While he did not state the reason why his service got canceled, it is worthy to note that in October, Lagos corps members called on the National Youth Service Corps to punish Davido for missing from duty for two months.
Recall that the singer registered for the mandatory service in August, and days later, cruised into the orientation camp in Lagos and was treated to a princely welcome. He performed for his colleagues, the atmosphere charged like a concert venue, but things quickly went downhill after he disappeared from his post.
Often, Davido would post videos and photos from his trips abroad and young Nigerians would call him out for deserting his duty post in Lagos, with many noting that he was being allowed by the authorities to blatantly flout rules.
Now, he says he is no longer a member of the corps.

Students of Madonna University Okija have been asking the school management to help renovate some of their dilapidated hostels for a while now, but it seems nothing has been done about it.
Photos showing how bad and unhealthy the school hostels look have since gone viral on social media. A Facebook user identified as Nwankwo Ogbonna took to the platform to speak about the deplorable state of hostels in some Nigerian Universities and how it affects the students. Read below.
“This is why most Nigerian graduates are useless and unproductive because they are the products of their environments.
This is the deplorable state of the almighty Madonna university Okija hostels, a private university for that matter and one of the expensive Universities in Nigeria. Despite the huge fees collected by the school the management can not create a conducive learning environment for their students.
And these graduates and undergraduates of the school don’t see anything wrong in these things that’s why they can live here happily and suffering.
Our people have lost it all , that is why private schools should not be left in the hands of Nigerian individuals because they are like church owners now , just make money and return nothing , is very pathetic ,for these dilapidated and pig like hostels are not fit to house humans.
Another user wrote;
Life in Madonna University Nigeria is a life in the jungle. The internally displaced people in the Northeast may be living a higher standard of life than the students of Madonna University.
The environment of Madonna University particularly the hostels are far worse than a bokoharam camp. The attention of the management has been drawn to the poor living conditions of the students, but Fr. Edeh and his clueless cabal have no interest in improving the living situation of the students.
He collects huge amounts of money as school fees running into millions just to gather firm for himself. He derives joy in building big churches and gathering Bishops and white people who go to Elele to sing praises to the name of Fr. Edeh. After singing his praises, he pays them in millions. Those Bishops who are guilty of this fact, cannot deny it.
If Fr. Edeh is your friend and you are a Bishop for God and for humanity, tell your friend the truth.
In most cases he deceives the white people and makes them believe that the students are poor orphans and less privileged he is catering for. Many opinions leaders believe that he collects millions of dollars on accounts of this very deceit from the western world.
The Nigerian Government and NUC are therefore called upon to come to the rescue of Madonna University students. “Our hostels are Death Traps”, students cry. Three hostels in Okija Campus (St Thomas, OSH and St Peters) are at the verge of collapsing.
NUC should stop collecting bribes from Fr. Edeh and do their job in the interest of young Nigerians who are living like animals in the name of being students of a private University.
The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria should stop singing the praises Fr. Edeh and ask him to stop being hypocritical and do the right thing instead of always cutting corners and bribing people men in authority.
NUC should ask him to reduce the number of mentally deranged people who are working in the University especially this current newly recruited uneducated boys from Osisatech polytechnic. We have never seen where OND holders are made managers of a University except in Madonna.

At a time when many young girls say that they no longer believe in love, actress Queeneth Agbor says love has been good to her.
In a chat with Sunday Scoop, she narrated her fondest experience in love. She said, “My boyfriend is the sweetest ever. He is all about giving and my 100 per cent happiness is his goal without him asking for nothing in return. Each time I look at him, I’m always in awe. There is no phone or anything else I want that he cannot give me. Recently, he actually needed to change his phone but with his busy schedule, he kept forgetting. I saw it as an opportunity to do something very special for him for once. I already knew the phone he wanted; so, I got it and surprised him. He almost returned it but I sweet-talked him and explained that if he rejected it, I would be heartbroken. That’s how I won.”
On the importance of sex in a relationship, Agbor said, “To some people, sex is associated with stability because it increases the bond and maintains a level of stability. As for me, I believe that sex is overrated in a relationship though I stand for sex before marriage with a good reason. I need to test my ‘goods’ so I don’t end up with something inadequate. Cheating is a no-no for me. However, in a relationship, getting to know your partner doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with sex. I prefer to bond mentally and intellectually. I know my lover for who he truly is. Sex gone bad can actually end a relationship before you even get to know the real person.”
Speaking on the biggest gift she has ever received from a lover, Queeneth said, “My boyfriend asked me to come outside my house to carry some things he bought for me, only for me to see a car.”
Agbor also said contrary to what some people might think about her, she is actually very spiritual. “One with God is in the majority; for without Him, I am nothing. As long as I breathe, I will continue to serve God. I am an ambassador of Christ with dignity, mentality that differentiates me from others,” the actress added.

Footballer, Isaac Success has revealed how he regained his form in the English Premier League.
Isaac says his change of diet, including a stop in eating his favorite Jollof rice, helped him. The 22-year-old injury prone Nigerian footballer, in a chat with DailyMail said:
“I was eating a lot of African food [Jollof rice inclusive]and it was a little bit heavy but I’ve cut that out and I’m on the team diet, eating with the team.
Eating earlier at night, it’s really helped. I wasn’t fit and wasn’t working. I made mistakes because I wasn’t working hard and needed to concentrate more. I stuck to my plan.
When you’re fit it’s more difficult to get injured, and if you’re injured you recover on time. So, this season is going well because physically I’m fine. I lost a couple of kilos and that made me faster and stronger. I feel sharper.”
According to reports, Isaac has already played more minutes this season than he played in the two before.
He has also scored again in the EPL, something he last did in 2016. Has also added three Super Eagles caps to the single cap he had before October.

Comedian Bovi recently tendered an unreserved apology to Daddy Freeze after he realized he had misunderstood Freeze’s comment to Akpororo.
Bovi in the apology wrote; “Freeze reached out to people who are mutual friends and they made me understand that I totally got it wrong. I thought he used the word paedophilia. He actually used the word paedolalia. Until this day, I had never come across the word. I responded in haste. I AM SORRY FREEZE!”
“Like I said in one of my now deleted tweets, my response had nothing to do with Freezes gospel.honestly never been interested. I wrongly thought he attacked Akpororo in a sensitive way and by extension, the borderless license of comedians.i was defendin like Ali always did 4 us.”
“Thanks @nevadabridgetv and Robert Peters. Yo Freeze! I’m sorry again. In this case, you weren’t an asshole. You fooled me. You win.”
Bovi’s public apology has earned him the respect of many people including Daddy Freeze who wrote, ‘good morning everyone. I want to celebrate Bovi today. What he did was immensely noble. To make a mistake is human, to realize the mistake and now make a public apology is divine’.
He added that, ‘If he had called me one on one and apologized I would have had to forgive him, but the damage in the media would have lingered. By putting out a public statement, risking his reputation at it, he fixed it and I appreciate it. I learnt something from Bovi. If you make a mistake, sometimes an apology is not enough, you have to fix it’.

I wanna ask a question. My intentions are not to insult you in anyway, just curious.
I’ve learnt first hand that most of these pastors you talk about don’t coerce or force the people to pay. They always out of generosity propel themselves to give to these pastors. Now, If you ask the churches or pastors not to receive supports or tithes from the congregation, how do you expect the church to grow and expand the teaching of Gods word?? Or are you saying the churches need not to be run at all?? Even if this big men of God suddenly run down, are the churches going to run down too??
I think what you should be agitating for is that pastors need to be accountable and properly use this money to help the needy. You fighting a full blown war against the church, I said this because of the way you attacked the experience program which isn’t a platform to extort tithe or funds from the people. At this rate, you come against anything that pertains to churches. There are tons of intelligent people in the USA, Canada, China, developed countries like that, still, their churches pay tithes and support the ministry.
The Catholic Church receives tithes and offerings, there’s no church in the world that doesn’t receive tithe and support from her congregation, if they don’t, how else will the gospel progress. If your fight is against the accountability of Nigerian pastors, that’d be so understandable and logical, but this spilled over outbursts against anything church in Nigeria is in my opinion needless.
I have never in my 16 years of existence heard where congregations are coerced to pay tithe or support the church. In winners chapel, there’s even a platform where money are lend to borrowers with no interest, There’s a platform where after every service, food , clothes etc are shared among people that need them. In the cell fellowship centers in Winners Chapel, you can talk to your cell ministers when you are in need and those needs would be met ranging from paying school fees to paying rents and so on, you can’t tell me that’s a lie cuz I am living testimony to that. The buses to and fro Canaanland used to be free until running them became hard, now it’s only free for new converts.
So this things aren’t run on leaves but money. And this congregation are always happy to give to the church. After all when people spend huge amount in clubs on liquor, on gamble, or on the needy, on relatives, for friends, on habits, on hubbies…..when people spend on these factors no one complains. So why is that you see giving to church as a waste?
You blame the church for our country being the world poverty capital of the world. Do you want winners chapel or redeemed or MFM to start running Nigeria with the contributions of its congregations? Contributions that you still bash them about? Imagine what Bishop Oyedepo has done with covenant University of 10 years, now imagine if he has access to a vast national resources that UI or OAU enjoys. Why are you blaming the church for the nations poverty??
Was Jesus in charge of the nation’s economy in his time? Was he in charge of military? In charge of public hospitals? If you want the church to take over the affairs of Nigeria, why don’t you implore the government to handover to the church?? There’s the government and there’s the church. Both have their functions. The church can only voice out and advise the government on what to do, it’s left for the government to do something about it.
I know of course that freeze would spin and spin and grammar everyone against his opinion down but I think at the end of the day he knows the truth.
Pastor Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) has warned members of his church to desist from using his pictures and that of his wife, Foluke, on souvenirs for sale. According to him, he is not God and can never share in God’s glory.
The clergyman gave the warning on Friday December 7th at the ongoing annual Holy Ghost Congress of the church holding at the Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. He said it had come to his notice that some members of his church have started seeing him as God that they use his photos and that of his wife on any of their materials. He appealed to them to stop it as he does not want to incur the wrath of God.
“It has been brought to my notice that people are using my picture and that of my wife on key holders, calendars, books and other souvenirs. This is wrong and anyone found with such materials should be arrested and reported to the police. I am not God. I did not send them. I have nothing to do with those materials. I am an ordinary man of God. God will never share his glory with any man. I am not ready to die. Devil, I am not ready to go.
If at any time, God is sensing that a man is trying to share his glory, the man is dead. If you find anyone selling anything whatsoever with my picture or my wife’s, report them to the police immediately.” he said
On why he was forced to publicly call them to order, the clergyman said that recently a woman bought a key holder with his picture and his wife’s inscribed on it and gave it to her child and the child began to eat the key holder and in no time, the picture pasted on the key holder removed and surprisingly what they found was the picture of another tele evangelist, Prophet T. B Joshua.
“I know you all know what that means. Please stop and cooperate,” he pleaded.

Music
I started singing from a very tender age because my mother was into music and she had her own group. It was more like growing up to follow her footsteps. My first song was titled, My Love For You, and I featured the late OJB Jezreel. It was actually one of the songs that brought me fame. Then, I released Bread and Butter. I also did a song with Small Doctor. I have released a couple of songs but the latest one is Money Good.
Parents’ reaction
They supported me because it was not strange to them. However, people advised my mother to stop me from doing music because they felt I wouldn’t get married if I became a musician.
Challenges
Challenges are numerous. As a woman, you get to meet people that would only offer to help you based on certain conditions. Some people would want to date or marry you before they can help you. You have to be financially capable because the music industry is not fair to women. To promote music in Nigeria, you need a considerable amount of money. As a woman, you have to go the extra mile to do certain things because it is an industry dominated by men. When I got to Lagos newly, I got entangled with a man who said he would help me only if I would be intimate with him. He advised me to break up any previous relationship I had despite the fact that I had money to pay for my song. I walked out on him but he called me back and now we are friends. I also lost a contract because I refused to meet with the record company owner at a hotel.
D’banj
I don’t know why some people like to interpret things to suit their purpose. D’banj is someone I have always admired. Aside music, he is business-minded and hard-working. He is my kind of person: playful, intelligent and cheerful. I didn’t mean what I said about dating him because it was a joke. However, the rumour got to me because we are good friends.
Jaywon
I never dated Jaywon; we have just worked together. During the shoot for one of our music videos, some people took suggestive pictures of us together and this brought a lot of misunderstanding between Jaywon and I. I didn’t like the way he handled the issue because he didn’t ask me anything; rather, he and his manager wrote defamatory press statements about me.
Governor Suswan
I have tried not to talk about the rumour of me dating former Benue State Governor Gabriel Suswan. During his tenure, he supported a lot of artistes in the state, unlike what obtains now. I am fortunate to be part of those he sponsored. He treats me like his daughter, yet we are not even close. He and (some members of) his cabinet attended an event I organised in my state. He enjoyed himself so much that he challenged every member of his cabinet to support me. So, it became more like a fundraising dinner. That was what generated the rumour that I was dating him because some people felt it wasn’t possible for him to do that for me if we were not dating. I have grown a thick skin to comments about me dating anybody because I am a single lady.
Current projects
I am working on an album. I have recorded a lot of songs but it will take some time for me to choose the right ones to put out. Hopefully by next year, I will release my album. I also have a Non-Governmental Organisation that empowers women and persons living with disabilities.
Role models
I admire a lot of female artistes in Nigeria, especially Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay, Omawumi and Simi. When it comes to male artistes, Davido, Tekno, Flavour and Wizkid are people I look up to. When I want to do an inspirational song, I will like to work with 2baba because I think we blend in that area. Internationally, I look up to Rihanna, Beyoncé, Jlo and Nicki Minaj.
Men
I don’t like slim men because it makes me feel like they will be stingy. I don’t like stingy people because I am a giver. I don’t like men that attach conditions before they do anything for you. I prefer a man who has listening ears to a handsome man.
Relaxation
When I am not working, I go to the beach and the cinema in company with friends and family. But I prefer to stay indoors.
Fashion
My fashion sense is top notch. I love going over the top sometimes and I love combining colours with a touch of African vibe. I love to dress sexily and classy. I take risks when it comes to fashion.
