“When I hold this charm, nothing can penetrate me” – Robbery Suspect

A charm bearing robbery suspect who operates around the upper Iweka area of Onitsha, has been nabbed by residents of the area after he alongside others hoodlums attacked a lady and robbed her of her valuables.

The robbery suspect who disclosed that he acquired charms from a native doctor who lives Okpoko (a nearby city), to rob people of their handbags and cellphones, went on to reveal that when he holds it nothing can penetrate his body including knives and bullets – making him “bulletproof”.

It was gathered that the suspect who has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution, was given a hot chase and apprehended by residents of the area.

Meet Miss Nigeria 2018; Chidinma Leilani Aaron

Enugu representative, Chidinma Leilani Aaron has been crowned Miss Nigeria 2018, in the star studded event which was held yesterday at the Eko Convention Centre of Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

The event kick started with eighteen contestants, but they were pruned to 12 finalists which include, Ntan Nton, Egede Lagele, Thomas Mseve, Ameh Munirah, Otunba Ifunaya, and Shitta Remilekun, Tizhe Usa Miriam, Okudili Odinaka Doris, Agida Stephanie, Ugwu Ijeoma, Aaron Chidinma Leilani, and Dunu Chisom Olivia.

However the 12 finalists were further cut down to 5; Dunu Chisom, Ntan Sharon Nton, Ameh Munirah, Agida Stephanie and Chidinma Aaron.

Miss Nigeria 2018

Chidinma Aaron was eventually crowned Miss Nigeria 2018, while Ameh emerged the second runner-up and Dunu was named the first runner-up.

The beauty pageant had no registration fee in a bid to be all-inclusive and “to prevent financial restraints on the part of young ladies who are truly deserving of the ultimate title”, however the winner took home N3 million, a luxury apartment and a car.

Chidinma Aaron now takes over the crown from Mildred Ehiguese who won the 2017 edition.

After it was reported earlier that Nigerian singer, Flavour and his first baby mama, Sandra Okagbue, are expecting another child together, it’s being reported newly that they’ve welcomed this child.

Nigerian blogger, Miss Petite, whose report of the duo’s expectancy we’d earlier quoted, has also in a new report, revealed that Sandra has welcomed a new born baby.

According to the new report by MPN, Sandra welcomed her baby few days ago in a hospital in Texas, U.S.A.

This hacker of Big Brother Naija finalist, Nina, is really making his mark as the individual – who identifies himself as Yusuf – goes on a revelation spree using the 21 year old’s Instagram account. In his latest scheme, he has released Actress Rita Dominic’s phone number.

In the hacker’s latest exposé, – which is a revenge of some sorts – the hacker focuses on Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic. He shares a screenshot of a chat she had with Nina and therein, gave her her mobile number.

According to Yusuf, he had wanted to get through to the actress but it was all to no avail and so, this is his way of getting back at her.

In the screenshot of the chat, it’s apparent that there was an issue that had to be addressed and so Rita gave Nina her mobile number to reach her better.

Yusuf, sharing the screenshot, wrote,

See @ritadominic I use to messaged since i was a small boy to put me into acting kikikiki i will finished you with call today, nigerians called her till she switched off her phone. Tat is her number there.
Very stewpid girl. She will change number today today.

A quick check by YabaLeftOnline on Whatsapp shows the number has the actress picture as it’s profile photo.. and a quick check on Truecaller shows “Rita Dominic” as the caller ID. (See screenshots below)

In light of this, fans have gone wild as some reveal they’ve begun disturbing the actress with calls but as at the time of filing this report, the number displayed has been switched off.

New photos of the family of five who went viral after their mental condition was brought to the attention of the public by a former National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Progress Oberiko, has emerged online

The family of Mr. & Mrs. Ben Ogar also know as the Ogoja mentally deranged couple were rescued few months ago following weeks of intense search by a team from the Cross River State Government and Federal Neuro Psychiatric hospital, Calabar, Cross River State.

According to his wife, Mr. Ben and his wife lost their means of livelihood about the same time six years ago while still resident in Abuja with their two kids, and what followed was a mental disorder leading to the Mr. Ben relocating himself and his wife to his country home in Ogoja where he opted to stay in a shanty rather than his father’s house.

His family rescued his first set of kids from him when he started showing signs of this disorder, and six years of roaming the streets of Ogoja produced the three kids he was rescued with.

Doctors confirmed Mr. Ben to be suffering from a mental disorder, while his wife is only having the ‘folie a deux’ syndrome as a result of her husband’s ideation. The children, two girls and a boy, are in very stable condition and are responding to treatment very well.

According to Progress Oberiko, unfortunately, support is yet to come from the government who initiated their rescue.

Nigerian singer, Flavour and his first baby mama, Sandra Okagbue are – according to a new report – set to welcome their second child any day from now.

According to a new report by blogger, Miss Petite, Sandra is at the moment, heavily pregnant and is in Dallas, Texas with her mother as she prepares to give birth.

Miss Petite gave her report as thus,

Nigerian musician, Flavour and his wife, Sandra Okagbue are set to welcome their second child any day from now, Miss Petite Nigeria can confirm.

The couple wed in 2017 after a tumoultous [sic] long term relationship which included the singer, fathering a daughter with ex-beauty queen, Anna Banner, in 2015.

In 2016, Anna declared she was not in a relationship with the singer. Shortly after, news filtered that he secretly got married to Sandra.

A source told Miss Petite Nigeria that Sandra who is heavily pregnant, is in Dallas, Texas with her mum.

The couple have a four year old daughter, Gabrielle Munachim Okoli.

This past weekend, the biggest church auditorium in the world was dedicated in Abuja and in light of this, media personality, Daddy Freeze, deems the development as shameful.

In a post shared on his Instagram page earlier this afternoon, the Free the Sheeple Movement convener, says it is shameful and hypocritical for Nigeria to have the largest church auditorium when the country cannot boast of the largest schools or hospital.

The National Drug law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered an illegal methamphetamine drug laboratory in Orlu, Imo state.

According to a report by TVC News, 77kg of Crystal Meth and different equipment were also recovered from the illegal drug Laboratory.

The news report also noted that this is the 15th Meth lab that has been uncovered in Nigeria between 2011 and 2018. The owner has been arrested and is currently in the agency’s custody.

Methamphetamine is a potent central nervous system stimulant that is mainly used as a recreational drug and less commonly as a second-line treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obesity

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido emerged the biggest winner at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2018 held in Accra, Ghana.

The ‘Fia’ singer won awards in three categories while his Nigerian counterpart, Eazi, won his in two categories at the event which held on Saturday.

Tiwa Savage and Falz also won awards at the 5th All Africa Music Awards, on Saturday night.

Davido scooped Africa’s artiste of the year, with his album, FIA. He also won the best male artiste in West Africa. Tiwa Savage won West Africa’s best female artiste and Falz ran away with best African rapper award.

The night of honours did not belong solely to the active artistes. There were also awards for Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state and two veterans South African Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Ghana’s Teddy Ossei, the leader of the Osadebe group, created in 1969.

Chaka Chaka, dubbed Princess of Africa, won the 5th Afrima legendary award. She has has a career spanning over 30 years with several hit albums.

Ambode was awarded a special recognition for his contributions towards the growth and development of the Arts and Tourism sector of Lagos state, most importantly the role Lagos state played as official host of AFRIMA in its last 4 years from 2014 – 2017.

The award night, which had in attendance music stars, dignitaries, and music lovers across the continent, seeks to celebrate and reward African talents who have done exceedingly well in the year.

Artistes were given awards based on 36 categories.

I didn’t pay or lobby for awards – Actress Efe Irele says

When actress Efe Irele received this year’s City People Movie Awards Best Upcoming Actress and Best New Actress, it was widely rumored that she did not deserve to win and the organizers were alleged to have only given awards to entertainers who were willing to pay.

However, in an encounter with Sunday Scoop, Irele rubbished the claims that she might have paid for the two awards.

She said:

“If anyone says that I lobbied for an award, my best reply is for them to see my body of works. Within three years, I have featured in over 40 movies; so, my works speak for me. People will always say whatever they like, but I know who I am and I know I didn’t pay any money for the awards.”

The graduate of Bowen University, Iwo, stated that she didn’t expect to win two awards on the night. She added,

“The feeling was out of this world. When I was called on stage for the first award, I was shocked. In as much as I have been working hard, I didn’t know people were paying attention to me. As I speak to you, I still feel I have only done little as an actress.

“After collecting the first award, I was actually preparing to leave. But while I was being interviewed, I was called again. At first, I didn’t hear my name; it was when people started looking towards my direction and screaming my name that I realised I had won another award. I couldn’t hold back tears. The two awards have motivated me to want to do more.”

After month-long coma, woman dies from cheap nose job in Mexico

An American woman who was on life support after receiving a cheap nose job in a Mexico hospital in October died on Saturday.

Laura Avila, originally from El Paso but relocated Dallas, went to “Rhinocenter” surgery center in Cuidad Juarez on Oct. 30 to have work done on her nose, according to the family’s GoFundMe.


She never woke up.

“Without knowledge to her fiancé, Laura suffered a cardiac arrest for four minutes,” the GoFundMe said. “She was then placed into a medically induced coma to prevent further damage to her brain that was caused by the complications she experienced during anesthesia.”

On Saturday, her sister, Angie Avila, said her sister died at 8:30 Saturday morning after being in a coma for nearly a month.

“My heart aches, and I truly don’t know how or if I’ll ever overcome this pain,” Angie Avila wrote in a Facebook post.

“I was once like you people because I started from this school. A Nigerian lady who survived a snake attack in her shop, has blamed it all on her enemies who according to her have a plan that will never prevail.

The Nigerian lady wrote on Facebook;

This is coming few months after a Nigerian mum overpowered a snake sent by her enemies.

Her comments in the clip suggested she believed the reptile was sent by enemies, who wished to harm her. Princess, a lady believed to be her daughter shared the footage in a post shared on Twitter on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.

“The fact that my mom buried this snake and then burned it this morning w my dad as her loyal accomplice I’m tyhaid,” she wrote.

A lot of fans of Nigerian singers Wizkid and Olamide got jittery when it was announced Wizkid’s show in December will hold on the same day with latter and fans are already confused on which one to go for.

The thespian shared the dramatic photos on her Instagram page with captions to motivate upcoming, seasoned and established actors to take up more challenging roles, step out of their comfort zone and express their diversified talents at all times.

Chyna, who has police protection while in the country, is seen in a video ready to fight but was however restrained before it got out of hand.

Men Who Disguise As Women To Scam Wealthy Victims Busted By Police

Two men who specialise in blackmailing wealthy men after pretending to be women have been apprehended by men of the Nigerian police force in Kano state.

According to reports, the suspects disguise as women in order to get to their targets who are mostly rich men.It was gathered from online reports that their mode of operation is to approach their victims with the offer of arranging ladies (themselves) for the men to sleep with.

If the man accepts, they will arrange to meet where they will scam him and flee with his money but if the man refuses, they will threaten to blackmail him by spreading rumours that he’s not a good person and has slept with both of them unless he settles them with huge sum of money.

The group was recently busted by police officers who have been on their trail for long following series of complaints from the victims.
The suspects are currently in police custody and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The Dunamis International Gospel Center, is the world’s largest church auditorium… and it was dedicated today in Abuja.

The auditorium’s dedication was was attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dino Melaye, Akwa Ibom state governor Emmanuel Udom, Benue state governor Samuel Ortom, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor E.A Adeboye and may others.

The world’s largest church auditorium is a 100,000 seater capacity building. It knocks off the Winners Chapel building in Ota which is 50, 000 seater. Here are photos below;

On how his church built the 100,000 capacity Glory Dome in less than four years, the founder of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche who gave a first-hand account, said;

God gave us that vision; with the vision, there must come location. That was how we began to pray and in the night I had a revelation where I was taken to a land along the airport road, with a landmark that showed me that land.

We looked for land but we couldn’t find one. So we decided to buy land somewhere else, almost a thousand acres and another almost 700 acres in another location. We were almost starting in one of those places when the Lord reminded me that there was somewhere else he showed me and that I should still go ahead and look for the place.

I then called one of the surveyors in our church and anointed him with oil and tasked him to go and look for the land along the airport. To the glory of God, within one week, he was back and said he had found a place. And when we got here, I said this was the place the Lord showed. And that was how we secured this place after almost ten years when it was first released via revelation.
