President Muhammadu Buhari turned 76 yesterday, December 17th, and his aides and a few state governors treated him to a surprise birthday get-together at the state house in Abuja.
See the photos below;

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated and prayed for President Buhari on his 76th birthday as the party says that at the age of 76, President Buhari, has attained a father-figure position and should do everything to respect the aspirations and will of the Nigerian people on all issues, particularly as the nation heads to the 2019 general elections.

The PDP also urged President Buhari to leave a lasting legacy by doing all within his powers to ensure that the nation he leads knows peace; to ensure that rules are obeyed and that the sensibilities of the people, in our diversities are fully respected.
In this regard, the 2019 general elections place a heavy responsibility on the shoulders of President Buhari to guarantee peaceful, credible, free and fair elections, particularly, the Presidential election, by ensuring that all electoral laws and rules are obeyed; that opposition members are not molested; that the amendment to the Electoral Act is signed; as well as to declare like his predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan did in 2015, that his 2019 re-election ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian.
If President Buhari looks at the state of the nation today, he will discover, and we believe he is aware, that the situation has become horrendous for the average Nigerian. Therefore, the PDP urges President Buhari to use this occasion to reflect on his administration and do all to ensure that posterity does not remember him for violation of human rights, suppression of opposition and dissenting voices; disobedience to court orders, nepotism and divisiveness; escalation of violence, bloodletting and concealment of corruption under his administration.
In all, the best gift President Buhari can give Nigerians is, having openly agreed that he lacks the capacity to manage our economy, to allow a credible election to enable Nigerians to vote our Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who understands the nuances of our national challenges and who has a blue print for economy recovery, to come and turn things around for all our people, while he withdraws to Daura for a well-deserved rest.
On this note, the PDP congratulates President Buhari as he turns 76 and prays that the Almighty Allah grant him good health and many more years ahead.
Egyptian and Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, who is the current African best footballer is the latest star to land on the cover of GQ Middle East.

Speaking with the magazine in an interview, the 26-year-old footballer spoke about the role his father played in making him a better footballer.
Salah played at El Mokawloon, Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina, and Roma, but his career took off after signing for Liverpool.

‘I would complain that I didn’t want to travel [the four hours] to training,’ said Salah, remembering the role his father played.
‘But he stood by me and told me that all great players go through this. The price for him was very high, and I’ll never forget the role he played in my career.’
The attacker has already scored 42 goals in 53 appearances for Liverpool, and speaking about his performance sofar, he said:
‘It makes me feel great, and makes me want to work harder and to continue performing,’ he says. ‘Because after that if your standards drop, people will not accept it. It’s a great feeling, but I don’t see it as more pressure.’

For young players aspiring to become a footballer, the Liverpool star advice them saying:
‘For me, nothing was going to come easily… nothing good ever does. I went through every possible stage a footballer could go through. Moving from an Arab country to Europe, you feel the difference in everything from the standard of living to food, to communication.
‘You don’t know what to do. After that you become organised because you want to reach your goals. If you don’t try then you will always stay at home. I’m not belittling that at all, if that’s what you want, then that’s okay too.’

He pleaded “not guilty” to the charge preferred against him occasioning his counsel E.O. Isiwu to move a motion for bail. The application was opposed by prosecuting counsel, Innocent Mbachie. Islamic scholar, Ustaz Abdulfattah Adeyemi has called on women to share their husbands with other women because they only have 25% access to their husbands, while the remaining 75% belongs to other women.
Adeyemi said this in Abuja, at the inauguration of Sisters of Jannah, a Muslim women’s charity organisation.
His words:
“Let me tell you that your husband is only yours 25%.
Your husband is not your property; your only share of him is 25%. The remaining 75% belongs to other women. If you want your husband 100%, then you are a thief.
You are going beyond the 25% that is yours; the remaining 75 75% belongs to other ladies. Don’t think that because you are wives, other women should not share your husbands.
Whenever you see polygamy that is not successful, it is because of a woman. We men are the Angels that Allah sends to help women.
If Allah makes it easy for you, if they ask you to shift, please shift a little so that somebody else can also sit down.
And you that is asking somebody else to shift, you have to fear Allah; you that they want to allow to come in, fear Allah. Don’t go there and scatter their lives for them. .
Don’t go there and constitute problem for them. The man may be doing it for the sake of Allah, don’t let him regret it.”
