Nigerian singer cum actor and politician, Banky W, auctioned his 2008 Range Rover SUV over the weekend after he had earlier stated he would give the proceeds to Charity.

The singer had few days ago, shared his plans to sell the car after he took to the gram to state that he’d be auctioning the 2008 Range Rover which subjected him to ridicule few months ago after some ladies spotted him driving in it.

He wrote in part,

If you’re looking for a used Car, buy this piece of Nigerian Pop Culture history instead. It has been in more videos and movies than any other option out there lol.

It was also the subject of a stalker video some months ago. Point being, it’s famous, and these charities need our help.

The car was eventually sold for N2.3 Million Naira to Mr Michael Ugwu, the General Manager of Sony Music West Africa and Founder of FreeMe Digital, who won the bid.

After media outlet, NET reached out to him, he revealed why he bought the historic car. In his own words,

“I wanted to purchase a piece of Nigerian music industry history and I also wanted to support charity because I believe in what Banky W stands for and has stood for in our industry,” Ugwu said as he responded to our questions.

The distinguished music business exec. also told Net what he plans to do with the vehicle saying, “The plan is to turn the car into a permanent piece of Nigerian music industry vehicular art.”

A pretty Haitian model is claiming she is pregnant for American Rapper, Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, popularly known as Future, which means she is carrying the rapper’s 6th child.

The model named Eliza Reign revealed this in a lengthy Instagram post, and claimed she had an on and off affair with Future for 2-years and in the process got pregnant for him.

She also alleged that Future who has a son with singer Ciara and three other children with three different women, with his 5th on the way with Bow Wow’s baby mama, Joie Chavis, asked her to get an abortion, and when she refused, he threatened to physically harm her.

Drug dealers beat family members over missing hemp in Ondo

Some men suspected to be Indian hemp dealers at Ogbese in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State have allegedly beaten up a woman, identified as Mrs Martina Christopher, her father and brother to a pulp over the disappearance of bags of cannabis kept on the victims’ farmland.

It was gathered that the Indian hemp dealers, numbering about 40, had last Thursday invaded Martina’s farmland, located at Bolorunduro village in the council area, to search for some bags of the cannabis earlier kept on the farm. They were said to have met Martina’s brother, Isaac Akpan, working in the farm.

As the dealers could not find the bags of cannabis, it was gathered that they accused Isaac of stealing the product and thereafter tortured him before taking him away.

Having received the news of the incident, Martina and her father, Mr Joseph Akpan, were said to have traced the hoodlums to Ilu-Abo community in order to rescue Isaac, but they too were beaten up by the alleged hemp dealers.

Narrating her ordeal, Martina said,

“I went to the farm very late on the fateful day to join my husband and brother on the farm, because we had left the farm unattended to for some days.

“I met these people, about 40 of them on 15 motorcycles, then I saw my brother, who had been beaten and injured, sandwiched between some of the hoodlums on one of the motorcycles; I had to turn back and later, I was told that he had been taken to Ilu-Abo.

“I then went to Ilu-Abo in company with our father, only to see my brother mercilessly beaten and injured; and immediately the hoodlums saw us, they descended on us and beat me and my father to a pulp, demanding to know the whereabouts of the bags of Indian hemp kept on our farm.

“My father fainted and as I tried to touch him, they gave me a machete cut, while some of them beat me with sticks and I also fainted, because I had lost a lot of blood.”

She explained that the hoodlums threatened to wipe out the entire family if they failed to produce the missing bags of Indian hemp, adding that the hoodlums bragged that no security operatives could arrest them.

The husband of the victim, Mr Augustine Christopher, said he had to report the case at the Area Command in Oba Ile, Akure, following the threat to wipe out his family.

He appealed to the state government and the security agents to save his family from the hoodlums.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident and said the command had made some arrests over the matter.

Robert Mugabe unable to walk; seeks treatment in Singapore

Former President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe who is unable to walk again, has been receiving medical treatment in Singapore over the last two months.

94-year-old Robert Mugabe who is expected to return home next week, ruled the southern African nation for nearly four decades since independence from Britain in 1980, was forced to resign in November 2017 after an army coup.

Speaking to ZANU-PF supporters at a rally in Murombedzi, Mr. Mugabe’s village some 100 km (60 miles) west of the capital Harare, President Emmerson Mnangagwa who did not disclose the treatment Robert Mugabe who is unable to walk had been undergoing, said his predecessor was expected to return on October 15 but that his poor health had delayed the journey.

“We have just received a message that he is better now and will return on November 30.

“He can no longer walk but we will continue taking care of him,” Mr. Mnangagwa said, referring to Mr. Mugabe by his totem name Gushungo.

South African woman who was raped from age 10 by her uncle’s son shares her struggle with Depression and surviving suicide attempts

A 24-year-old South African woman, Busisiwe Mhlongo has been battling depression and PTSD as a result of repeated sexual abuse by her uncle’s son.

Busisiwe took to her Facebook page on November 22, to open up for the first time and narrated how her uncle’s son had raped her vaginally and anally from age 10, when she was in grade 4 to grade 6.

She didn’t tell anyone because the young man threatened to kill her with Ratex (rat poison). Ever since the incident, Busisiwe had been struggling mentally and emotionally and tried to take her own life several times.

I stayed with someone who sexually abused me and I didn’t tell anyone because he said he was going to kill me with Ratex. I kept that secret until this year cause I was struggling mentally and emotionally, Back in February I attempted to commit suicide, overdosed pills-in April I overdosed pills again- In June I starved myself hoping to die- in August I overdosed pills again- in September I attempted to jump out my Res but the security saw me and I couldn’t cause he said Jump I will catch you- in October I started cutting myself from my hand to my elbow and if I feel like the razor isn’t sharp enough I would get another one- I did it until it was beyond my control and I was admitted and of course Psychiatry Ward was my ward,stayed there for weeks and was diagnosed with depression and PSTD….Generally if you know me- I am a Happy person and I love everything about everyone, to be diagnosed with depression was heavy for me and the medication is just too much. My mom and my other family members are aware of this now that have done drastic things. I have never got a call from my cousin say he is sorry. What he did to me was damaging physically, emotionally and sexually. He robbed me my childhood and virginity, I will never be able to know what it’s like to be a child because of the things he did to me, he used a baby oil so that his penis would go in, he would put baby inside me so I can be “wet for him”. He did it for 3 years and he was never satisfied. I have been struggling to even wake up in the morning and eat, let alone to trust a man, I am struggling to believe that I will be fine because depression is not a fly by night thing I am living with depression and PSTD…………. I have lost everything you can think of and if I win this battle – it’s game over for my cousin! I am coming for everything and I know this wil be a lot of drama but I am not going to protect a rapist…

A charm bearing robbery suspect who operates around the upper Iweka area of Onitsha, has been nabbed by residents of the area after he alongside others hoodlums attacked a lady and robbed her of her valuables.

The robbery suspect who disclosed that he acquired charms from a native doctor who lives Okpoko (a nearby city), to rob people of their handbags and cellphones, went on to reveal that when he holds it nothing can penetrate his body including knives and bullets – making him “bulletproof”.

It was gathered that the suspect who has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution, was given a hot chase and apprehended by residents of the area.

Enugu representative, Chidinma Leilani Aaron has been crowned Miss Nigeria 2018, in the star studded event which was held yesterday at the Eko Convention Centre of Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

The event kick started with eighteen contestants, but they were pruned to 12 finalists which include, Ntan Nton, Egede Lagele, Thomas Mseve, Ameh Munirah, Otunba Ifunaya, and Shitta Remilekun, Tizhe Usa Miriam, Okudili Odinaka Doris, Agida Stephanie, Ugwu Ijeoma, Aaron Chidinma Leilani, and Dunu Chisom Olivia.

However the 12 finalists were further cut down to 5; Dunu Chisom, Ntan Sharon Nton, Ameh Munirah, Agida Stephanie and Chidinma Aaron.

Chidinma Aaron was eventually crowned Miss Nigeria 2018, while Ameh emerged the second runner-up and Dunu was named the first runner-up.

The beauty pageant had no registration fee in a bid to be all-inclusive and “to prevent financial restraints on the part of young ladies who are truly deserving of the ultimate title”, however the winner took home N3 million, a luxury apartment and a car.

Chidinma Aaron now takes over the crown from Mildred Ehiguese who won the 2017 edition.

This hacker of Big Brother Naija finalist, Nina, is really making his mark as the individual – who identifies himself as Yusuf – goes on a revelation spree using the 21 year old’s Instagram account. In his latest scheme, he has released Actress Rita Dominic’s phone number.

In the hacker’s latest exposé, – which is a revenge of some sorts – the hacker focuses on Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic. He shares a screenshot of a chat she had with Nina and therein, gave her her mobile number.

According to Yusuf, he had wanted to get through to the actress but it was all to no avail and so, this is his way of getting back at her.

In the screenshot of the chat, it’s apparent that there was an issue that had to be addressed and so Rita gave Nina her mobile number to reach her better.

Yusuf, sharing the screenshot, wrote,

New photos of the family of five who went viral after their mental condition was brought to the attention of the public by a former National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Progress Oberiko, has emerged online

The family of Mr. & Mrs. Ben Ogar also know as the Ogoja mentally deranged couple were rescued few months ago following weeks of intense search by a team from the Cross River State Government and Federal Neuro Psychiatric hospital, Calabar, Cross River State.

According to his wife, Mr. Ben and his wife lost their means of livelihood about the same time six years ago while still resident in Abuja with their two kids, and what followed was a mental disorder leading to the Mr. Ben relocating himself and his wife to his country home in Ogoja where he opted to stay in a shanty rather than his father’s house.

His family rescued his first set of kids from him when he started showing signs of this disorder, and six years of roaming the streets of Ogoja produced the three kids he was rescued with.

Doctors confirmed Mr. Ben to be suffering from a mental disorder, while his wife is only having the ‘folie a deux’ syndrome as a result of her husband’s ideation. The children, two girls and a boy, are in very stable condition and are responding to treatment very well.

According to Progress Oberiko, unfortunately, support is yet to come from the government who initiated their rescue.

According to a new report by blogger, Miss Petite, Sandra is at the moment, heavily pregnant and is in Dallas, Texas with her mother as she prepares to give birth.

This past weekend, the biggest church auditorium in the world was dedicated in Abuja and in light of this, media personality, Daddy Freeze, deems the development as shameful.

P Diddy laid his ex and mother of his children, Kim Porter to rest at a burial ceremony which took place at Evergreen Memorial Garden Cemetery in Colombus.

The 42-year-old was pictured sitting by the gravestone of Porter’s mother Sarah Lee Porter, who passed away in 2014. Diddy’s ex who died after battling flu, was buried in a flashy golden casket next to her mother.

The former model died last Thursday after suffering from a bout of pneumonia but her exact cause of death is unknown

NDLEA discovers illegal drug laboratory in Imo State

The National Drug law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered an illegal methamphetamine drug laboratory in Orlu, Imo state.

According to a report by TVC News, 77kg of Crystal Meth and different equipment were also recovered from the illegal drug Laboratory.

The news report also noted that this is the 15th Meth lab that has been uncovered in Nigeria between 2011 and 2018. The owner has been arrested and is currently in the agency’s custody.

Methamphetamine is a potent central nervous system stimulant that is mainly used as a recreational drug and less commonly as a second-line treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obesity

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido emerged the biggest winner at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2018 held in Accra, Ghana.

The ‘Fia’ singer won awards in three categories while his Nigerian counterpart, Eazi, won his in two categories at the event which held on Saturday.

Tiwa Savage and Falz also won awards at the 5th All Africa Music Awards, on Saturday night.

Davido scooped Africa’s artiste of the year, with his album, FIA. He also won the best male artiste in West Africa. Tiwa Savage won West Africa’s best female artiste and Falz ran away with best African rapper award.

The night of honours did not belong solely to the active artistes. There were also awards for Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state and two veterans South African Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Ghana’s Teddy Ossei, the leader of the Osadebe group, created in 1969.

Chaka Chaka, dubbed Princess of Africa, won the 5th Afrima legendary award. She has has a career spanning over 30 years with several hit albums.

Ambode was awarded a special recognition for his contributions towards the growth and development of the Arts and Tourism sector of Lagos state, most importantly the role Lagos state played as official host of AFRIMA in its last 4 years from 2014 – 2017.

The award night, which had in attendance music stars, dignitaries, and music lovers across the continent, seeks to celebrate and reward African talents who have done exceedingly well in the year.

Artistes were given awards based on 36 categories.

I didn’t pay or lobby for awards – Actress Efe Irele says

When actress Efe Irele received this year’s City People Movie Awards Best Upcoming Actress and Best New Actress, it was widely rumored that she did not deserve to win and the organizers were alleged to have only given awards to entertainers who were willing to pay.

However, in an encounter with Sunday Scoop, Irele rubbished the claims that she might have paid for the two awards.

She said:

“If anyone says that I lobbied for an award, my best reply is for them to see my body of works. Within three years, I have featured in over 40 movies; so, my works speak for me. People will always say whatever they like, but I know who I am and I know I didn’t pay any money for the awards.”

The graduate of Bowen University, Iwo, stated that she didn’t expect to win two awards on the night. She added,

“The feeling was out of this world. When I was called on stage for the first award, I was shocked. In as much as I have been working hard, I didn’t know people were paying attention to me. As I speak to you, I still feel I have only done little as an actress.

“After collecting the first award, I was actually preparing to leave. But while I was being interviewed, I was called again. At first, I didn’t hear my name; it was when people started looking towards my direction and screaming my name that I realised I had won another award. I couldn’t hold back tears. The two awards have motivated me to want to do more.”

Toke Makinwa says she no longer find dark guys attractive

Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa has admitted she no longer finds dark and chocolatey guys attractive.

Expressing gratitude to God, Toke Makinwa says she no longer has specifications when it comes to men and is particularly no longer attracted to dark, chocolatey men. She wrote;

Banky W’s SUV car finally auctioned

Nigerian singer, actor, Banky W’s car has finally sold his his 2008 Range Rover SUV through an auction that was held yesterday in Lagos.

Banky, weeks ago through an open letter, revealed he would be auctioning the vehicle off and donate the proceeds to charity.

He however announced early last week that the auction will hold on November 24th, which was yesterday.

The sale finally held and Head of Sony Music West Africa, Mr Michael Ugwu, won the bid to purchase the historic vehicle.

Specifications of the 4-wheel drive include Cruise Control, Rear Parking Aid, Universal Garage Door Opener, Keyless Entry, Heated Mirrors, 8 Cylinder Engine, Airbags, and Safety Features.
