Just after 5 days after regaining his freedom from Ikoyi Prison, a robber identified as 26-year-old Tunde Okunola, has been rearrested.
The robber was rearrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command, alongside an accomplice identified as 27-year-old Segun Adigun while trying to rob one Gift Omini at around 4;45 a.m on Wednesday at Marwa Roundabout, Lekki.
The suspect who spent six months and two weeks in Ikoyi prison before regaining freedom, pleaded with the police, disclosing that he is a trained barber and was looking for funds to start up his business in Lagos.
Okunola, who was released from Ikoyi Prison, on Friday, October 5, 2018, added that if released, “I will never step into Lagos again”. The robbery victim, Gift Omini however told the police that the suspects who were riding a bike, used a short axe to dispossess her of a mobile phone.
“My shout for help attracted the attention of RRS officers at the Roundabout and they chased and arrested them,” she added.
Recall also that one Gracious David West was rearrested for armed robbery, months after he was fully rehabilitated by the Omega Power Ministries, Port Harcourt, Rivers state. According to reports, the church helped the ex-militant and armed robber to secure an employment with the Federal University of Technology Owerri FUTO, after his rehabilitation, but he still went ahead to steal from students while at work.
He was later rearrested in Aba, Abia State, after using an army uniform to rob a woman of her car. He was charged to court and subsequently remanded in prison.

The mother of the 20-year-old model who was raped and murdered in Akure, Ondo State, says her daughter was on her period, and she wants justice.
Yemisi Ajayi, the 60-year-old mother of 20-year-old model, Seun Ajila Fionna who accused her daughter’s boyfriend who is in police custody as principal suspect of having a hand in her death, stated that the death of Seun should not be swept under the carpet.
From the investigation into the incident, it was gathered that the killer reportedly either came into the flat through the back door that was unlocked, when the victim’s mother left the house that Thursday evening or he knocked the door and was ushered into the apartment by Seun. It was also learnt that the deceased struggled with her killer, before she was stabbed severally with the knife the killer allegedly picked from the kitchen in the house last week.
While family sources confirmed that the victim was stabbed on her neck, abdomen and close to her private part ostensibly while struggling with her killer at the mother’s home located around Sunday Bus Stop, Odo ljoka area of Akure, Vanguard reported that the killer, who probably came purposely to rape her, could not be dissuaded by the blood stained menstrual pad she had in her private part but nonetheless had his way.
Families of the victim and the suspect have been friends for over seven years, and attended same church until the suspect’s father established his own church. The noodles the model had reportedly prepared to eat and a glass of water were said to have been found at the scene of the incident at their apartment, while a knife with which the victim was stabbed, a blood stained underwear and a menstrual pad were discovered under the mattress inside the room where her lifeless body was found by her mother.
The deceased who was a virgin and on her period, had declined sexual advances from the principal suspect since they started dating in January and it reportedly caused friction between them in June until the mother of the 20-year-old model intervened and told the boyfriend to allow her daughter be until they get married for sex to happen.
It was further learnt that the deceased wanted to end the relationship, after she suspected that her boyfriend may have joined a gang of online fraudsters. Though her boyfriend denied this, he however confessed that some of his friends were fraudsters. While the mother of the deceased warned the principal suspect not to trouble her daughter anymore on his sexual demand, he insisted on his demand until they parted for a while but later reunited after he reportedly promised to wait until they get married for sex.
According to the distraught mom, the suspect called her twice on the day Seun was murdered asking from her where she (the mother) was. Though the suspect has denied killing his girlfriend because they had no issues that would have led him to committing such dastardly act of murder, the post mortem examination on the corpse of the deceased would be carried out this week to determine the cause of death.

A former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd), 13 former governors and seven ex- ministers are among the 50 prominent Nigerians that have been banned from traveling following the order from President Buhari for the full implementation of the Executive Order 6 (EO6).
The Nation reports that others on the watchlist are: ex-governors Saminu Turaki (Jigawa), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Adebayo Alao-Akala (Oyo), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Rasheed Ladoja (Oyo), Orji Uzor Kalu (Abia), Danjuma Goje (Gombe), Attahiru Bafarawa (Sokoto), Muazu Babangida Aliyu (Niger); Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu); Sule Lamido (Jigawa); Gbenga Daniel (Ogun); and Ibrahim Shehu Shema (Katsina).
The ex-ministers are Nenadi Usman, Bashir Yuguda, Jumoke Akinjide; Bala Mohammed; Abba Moro; Femi Fani-Kayode; and Ahmadu Fintiri.
Others include a former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh; ex- Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral A. D. Most of the affected persons are currently facing trial for alleged corrupt practices in different courts.
The list was generated from cases and proceedings filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Nigeria Police, and 17 other agencies.

The relationship between Shatta Wale and Michy seems to have traveled the next level, as last night 13th October at the Reign Concert, he surprised her with a marriage proposal.
The duo have been in the media several times over relationship problems, but the roller coaster seems to be on the high this time.
In front of the over 10,000-packed venue and their two kids – including their son, Majesty – Shatta Wale called out the name of the mother of his son and proposed to her.

A few days ago, we brought you reports about the gas explosion that occured on Friday, in Osisioma Local Government of Abia state.
According to reports, 24 person were burnt to death in the explosion which happened in the early hours of that fateful day.
A gallant Nigerian soldier identified as LCFL Nnaemeka Sunday Evoh has been confirmed as one of the victims of the pipeline explosion.
Other The victims include a nursing mother and two other soldiers. Several others were said to have sustained various degrees of burns and were rushed to hospital.
Confirming the development after he visited the scenes of the explosion at Umuaduru and Umuimo in Osisioma LGA, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Anthony Ogbizi, said the explosion occurred due to spillage from a pipeline used to pump petrol from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) deport in Abia.
“According to the information from the NNPC depot manager in Aba, the spillage occurred from a pipeline that was undergoing maintenance,” he said.
“He said they were instructed test run the pipeline to ascertain its level of functionality. When we visited the two communities, we were informed that 14 people were reported dead at Umuimo village , while 10 died at Umuduru community . Some of victims who sustained various degrees of burns were said to be asleep when the incident occurred . They were said to have been taken to nearby hospitals and traditional medicine homes for treatment.”
Ogbizi said the police and other security agencies in the state were investigating the plausible cause of the explosion.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a statement rejecting in its entirety the attempt by the ‘Buhari Presidency to foist a full-blown fascism on our country, beginning with the placement of illegal travel restrictions on Nigerians’.
The party said ‘this draconian step is clearly targeted at members of the opposition parties, perceived political enemies of President Muhammadu Buhari, well-meaning Nigerians, including members of the business community, religious leaders, former political leaders and traditional rulers, who are perceived to be averse to President Buhari’s re-election bid’.
The PDP further notes that this “decree” is a direct clampdown on our democratic order and an overthrow of rights of our citizenry as guaranteed by the 1999 Constitution (as amended). We hope this is not a ploy to harm certain eminent Nigerians on the claims of resisting travel restrictions.
The whole world can now see how fascism is fast taking over our democracy and judicial system and how the Buhari administration, by fiat, has directly ordered that citizens be secretly trailed, their movements and financial transactions restricted by government agencies, without recourse to due process of the law.
While the PDP notes that the Buhari Presidency has gone into panic mode since the popular emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as PDP Presidential candidate and the spontaneous jubilation his emergence has evoked across the country, the party maintains that the resort to total clamp down on the opposition and our supporters will be totally unacceptable.
What this means is that all Nigerians, particularly, opposition members, members of the business community and religious leaders, have become endangered and stand the risk of state violence under the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.
The PDP therefore alerts the international community to hold the Buhari Presidency responsible should any harm befall any opposition leader, key members of the business community and religious leaders across the country as we march towards the 2019 general elections.
Finally, the repositioned PDP invites all to note how the APC and the Buhari Presidency are pushing our nation to the brinks but restates that no amount of intimidation, harassment and foisting of fascism will deter Nigerians from their determination to rally on the platform of the PDP to oust the incompetent, anti-people and repressive APC administration, come 2019.

The management team of popular artiste, Temitope Adekunle, aka Small Doctor, has reacted to a viral video where the singer told President Muhammadu Buhari to stop sleeping.
During the recent All Progressives Congress convention in Abuja, Small Doctor was invited to perform and while on stage, he said, “Buhari, ye ma sun (Buhari, stop sleeping).”
A member of the singer’s management team, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Sunday Scoop that Small Doctor was not worried when he saw the video, as he knew it was not politically motivated. The insider explained, “Small Doctor didn’t do anything unusual while performing at the event. He was there to entertain everyone, which he did. It was not the first time he would be performing the song and we have the video of the event on our devices too. The reaction of President Buhari when he was performing was different from what people saw in the video. They must have edited it.”
The source also revealed that Small Doctor was hailed by all the delegates present at the convention after the performance. The source stated, “After Small Doctor performed, everyone enjoyed it and he went to greet some of the delegates, including governors and senators. He couldn’t have greeted Buhari because he was far from him. You can tell that the video was politically masterminded.
“When the video first came out, people were saying Buhari was not dancing to the performance. Suddenly, they changed the conversation and said Small Doctor called out Buhari. He didn’t call out anyone; he was there to entertain and not to abuse anyone.

President Muhammadu Buhari has banned 50 prominent Nigerians suspected of engaging in corruption from travelling abroad.
The individuals, whose identities were not disclosed, include those whose assets, valued at N50million and above, are subject of corruption investigation and litigation.
The statement by presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said the measure is part of the implementation of Executive Order Number 6 which seeks to ensure “that all assets within a minimum value of N50 million or equivalent, subject to investigation or litigation are protected from dissipation by employing all available lawful means, pending the final determination of any corruption-related matter.”

PRESIDENT BUHARI DIRECTS IMPLEMENTATION OF EO 6 IN FULL FORCE
Following the instant judicial affirmation of the constitutionality and legality of the Executive Order 6 (EO6), President Muhammadu Buhari has mandated the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Minister of Justice to implement the Order in full force.
To this end, a number of enforcement procedures are currently in place by which the Nigeria Immigration Service and other security agencies have placed no fewer than 50 high profile persons directly affected by EO6 on watch-list and restricted them from leaving the county pending the determination of their cases.
Also, the financial transactions of these persons of interest are being monitored by the relevant agencies to ensure that the assets are not dissipated and such persons do not interfere with, nor howsoever corrupt the investigation and litigation processes.
It is instructive to note that EO6 was specifically directed to relevant law enforcement agencies to ensure that all assets within a minimum value of N50 million or equivalent, subject to investigation or litigation are protected from dissipation by employing all available lawful means, pending the final determination of any corruption-related matter.
The Buhari administration reassures all well-meaning and patriotic Nigerians of its commitment to the fight against corruption, in accordance with the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the general principles of the Rule of Law.
Accordingly, this administration will uphold the rule of law in all its actions and the right of citizens would be protected as guaranteed by the Constitution.
We, therefore, enjoin all Nigerians to cooperate with the law enforcement authorities towards ensuring a successful implementation of the Executive Order 6 which is a paradigm-changing policy of the Federal Government in the fight against corruption.

Singer, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade popularly known as Mr. Eazi has declared that he’s in no way ashamed to declare his love publicly for his billionaire daughter girlfriend.
While speaking with Sunday Scoop, Eazi reacted to a question on the true status of his relationship with Temi, he stated:
“I don’t think there is anything hidden about it. Temi is my one and only girlfriend.”

“I am faced with a blessing and curse. The fact that I make music that people all over the world listen to is a blessing. But the implication is that once people around the world listen to your music, it means you don’t have one constituency any longer.
At present, I try to relate to my Nigerian, African and Diaspora fans and then to my new fans that are non-Africans. Also, people shouldn’t forget that I am just one man; so, I cannot be in many places at the same time. But I make sure that once I have an opportunity, I come to Nigeria to do one thing or the other. Trust me, it is not my joy that I cannot be in Nigeria where my family lives.”
‘Wetin we gain’ singer, Victor AD who was recently robbed, had a chat with Sunday Scoop, and he’s debunked insinuations that his song, which glorified money-making, probably propelled the attackers into wanting to make money at all costs.
He said:
“It was not something that I have been through before; that was my first time of being robbed. It wasn’t a palatable experience but I give God all the glory. It has nothing to do with my song. At the end of the day, everybody wants to make money. As long as we are here on earth, our main focus is to make money; after serving God. Nobody wants to be broke. Before I sang the song, armed robbers were in existence.”

PDP leaders in the South East have said that they were not consulted before the selection of a man from their region as running mate to Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate, Vanguard is reporting.
This was made known by Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state and Chairman of South East Governors’ Forum after the meeting.
“We saw news flying up and down saying that our presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has picked a running mate from the zone. We were shocked because we were not consulted. While we were meeting, Atiku sent a message that he travelled out of the country for a short period. He promised to come down and meet with South East leaders,” Umahi told newsmen after the meeting.

According to her tweets breastfeeding a male child automatically trains them to be rapist. She said they are being thought how to touch a woman’s body. She is a proposing a stop to breastfeeding in order to stop rape.

Toyin who bought Nina a car after her exit from the Big Brother Naija TV show, has unfollowed the reality star for ‘running’ back to Miracle, after she got dumped publicly.
A quick check on Toyin’s Instagram shows that she unfollowed Nina.
Toyin Lawani isn’t a huge fan of Miracle, and she previously joined other Nigerians to call out Big Brother Naija 2018 winner, Miracle for dumping Nina who he was romantically linked to publicly.
Toyin Lawani who called out Miracle for lying to Nina, leading her on months after the reality show and even saying he will buy her a car, however praised Teddy A for still sticking to BamBam even when people don’t know the turns in their relationship.
Lawani further maintained that she has proof that Miracle was leading Nina on everyday, before dumping her. According to her, Miracle was quite a huge distraction. Here’s what she wrote below;

We recently brought you reports about a Nigerian boy who was about to be deported from Ireland back to Nigeria, but was allowed to remain in the country after his classmates mounted a campaign against his deportation.
14-year-old Nonso Muojeke of Tullamore College in Ireland who alongside his brother Viktor Muojeke and his mother Chidiebere Muojeke who were to be deported, were granted leave to remain in Ireland.
Thanks to his fellow students and teachers who staged up an unthinkable campaign before the deportation was revoked. This was achieved by a 21,000 signature-strong online campaign which was set up by his classmates at Tullamore College.
They also printed posters of Nonso and shared on social media including taking to the streets in Ireland to campagn against the deportation.

It appears Nina and Miracle of the Big Brother Naija, Double Wahala fame are now friends once again.
Miracle went on Insta-live to disclose he stumbled upon Nina in Ghana, and while they were live, Nina disclosed that she’s forgiven Miracle, and she hopes her fans, and Nigerians in general, will do the same.
Nina who was ‘dumped’ by Miracle in a viral post he shared weeks ago on Instagram, is now also following the reality show winner on Instagram. She was heard saying in the video; “I feel we should forgive him. Everyone should forgive him.”

A woman has reportedly lost her leg, after some guys who were ‘high’ on codeine rammed into a Keke napep.
The accident occurred in the New Oko-Oba area of Lagos.
Instagram user @prodigy2639 who shared the report, disclosed that the boys were ‘clearly high and bottle of codeine’ were found in the car. He wrote;
I wonder when young guys will stop the abuse of prescription drugs (Codeine). An elderly woman just lost a leg to this senseless accident rightnow at Issac OgunLolu street New Oko-Oba Lagos. The guys in the car were clearly high and bottles of Codeine found in the car. Sad

Taking to his Instagram page to share the exciting news, after his last exam, he wrote: ‘Another milestone, another prominence. Thank you friends and Thank God Almighty’.
The actor bagged the law degree, few months after he disclosed he will run for a seat in the house of representatives in 2019. Kanayo O. Kanayo declared his intention, after President Muhammadu Buhari declared June 12 Democracy Day and conferred the title of GCFR on the late MKO Abiola.

PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar hosted Davido and his girlfriend, Chioma.. and they all posed for a photograph together.

Meanwhile, Davido has reacted to reports that his romantic relationship with Chioma has hit the rocks.
The report making the rounds on Social media had it that Davido and his lover broke up over infidelity on the part of the singer.
However, Davido took to his Twitter blasting media houses for the news, promising to take those spreading the report to court.
The singer while denying a tweet from a media outlet which reads, ‘Assurance expired? Davido relationship with Chioma hits the rocks over infidelity,’ said “God punish you, see you in court.”
Recall that the singer dedicated a song ‘Assurance’ and bought Chioma a Porsche to celebrate her birthday.
A 14-year-old Nigerian schoolboy, Nonso Muojeke, whose classmates mounted a campaign against his deportation, has been granted leave to remain in Ireland along with his mother and brother, RTE reports.
Students and teachers at Nonso’s school, Tullamore College, had protested outside Leinster House, and presented a petition to Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan in an attempt to stop the deportation order, which was issued last June.
Minister Flanagan has confirmed that the family has been granted leave to remain. Nonso was two-years-old when he arrived in Ireland from Nigeria, with his mother and his older brother, after his father died in 2006.
The family applied for asylum, but their application was turned down and a deportation order was issued. Nonso’s supporters argued that the deportation would be unjust since he had spent almost his entire life in Ireland.
The petition to stop his deportation was signed by 22,000 people. Speaking through an intermediary the Muojeke family said it was “overwhelmed by the news” and appealed for privacy at this time.
A beautiful 200 level student of the University of Benin, Benin Edo State, identified as, Charity got engaged to her man, after the latter popped the question.
Her boyfriend, identified as, Victor, popped the question, shortly after her final exam paper, and she said yes.
Victor works in Warri, while Charity is a Banking & Finance student at the reputable University, she just moved on to 300 level.

French Ligue 1 side, Monaco have appointed Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, as their new manager, on a Three-Year Contract.
Henry will take his first steps into management at the club where he began his professional career, and has signed a three-year contract.
The Frenchman obviously went on to greater heights, joining Juventus, then the Gunners and then Barcelona, but he spent six years with the Principality club and is delighted to be making a return.
“In the first place, I thank AS Monaco for giving me the opportunity to coach the team of this club which is so special to me,” Henry said following his appointment.
“I am very happy to come back to AS Monaco and extremely determined to meet the challenges ahead. I can not wait to meet the players to start working together.”
Henry had worked alongside former Everton boss Roberto Martinez in the Belgium set-up, and helped the side to a third-placed finish at the World Cup in Russia.
Vadim Vasilyev, Monaco’s vice president, has already waxed lyrical about the appointment, made after the sacking of Leonardo Jardim earlier this week.
“His knowledge of football, his passion for the game, his high standards and his commitment to our colours make his nomination a reality,” he said.
“Thierry is both aware of the task ahead and eager to start his new job. He can count on our trust and all our support to bring a new dynamic to the team and carry out the mission.”
Indeed, Henry’s task is a difficult one as he is charged with turning around the form of a side which have picked up only six points from nine Ligue 1 matches this season.
While it’s true that Monaco won the French title a mere 17 months ago, a mass of sales including Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar, Fabinho, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva has drastically reduced the quality of the squad.
