Aretha Franklin didn’t leave a will behind before her death. This is a surprising move for someone of her status considering she has been ill for years.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the legend didn’t leave any plans for her $80 million estate.

It’s especially surprising given that she has a special needs son named Clarence who needs financial and other forms of support for his entire life.

She gave birth to Clarence, her first son at 13.

According to Michigan law, Aretha’s four kids will share that hefty fortune equally.

Aretha passed away on August 17 in Detroit after a long fight with pancreatic cancer.

A former Ligue 1 Gabonese footballer has revealed that his mother was killed in a “spiritual sacrifice” in order to further his football career.

Shiva N’Zigou was a striker who played for both Nantes and Reims in the French top flight between 2001 and 2010.

And in a quite shocking confessional given at a church in his homeland, the former Gabon international also claims he lied about his age and had sexual relations with his aunt and his sister.

According to N’Zigou, his father murdered his mother in a ritual killing so that his son could keep all the money he earned from football to himself.

A canine has been rescued after it was tied up and raped by multiple men in South Africa.

The dog was salvaged by a good Samaritan who spotted the dog being held captive and gang-raped. The kind-hearted citizen took the dog to the Matlosana Animal Shelter where it was discovered that the animal had extensive injuries on her private part.

The animal is expected to receive care at the shelter. Sharing the story on Facebook, Matlosana Animal Shelter wrote:

GANG RAPED: This Boerboel was brought to Matlosana Animal shelter this morning by a Good Samaritan. She has extensive injuries to her private parts. The Good Samaritan saw the gang rape taking place and saved her. I know we are all upset but please refrain from any derogatory comments. Young guy accused of being a “Yahoo boy” reportedly tortured to death by police in Delta (Photos)

The police in Delta state have been accused of brutally torturing a young Nigerian man identified as Ifunanya, to death after he was accused of being a “Yahoo Yahoo boy”.

Social activist, Prince Emefile Harrison, who shared the story on his page, Ifunanya was still asleep in his home in Warri when some officers attached to B Division invaded their apartment and surrounded everyone in the house with guns, looking for the alleged fraudsters.

Harrison wrote on his Facebook page,

“They searched the house, found nothing and ordered Ifunanya and four others to enter their Hilux van…. At first, they thought it was a normal thing they experience everyday, police breaking into people’s house, arrest them and threaten them to pay before they are released. Police officers picking you up walking on the street and force you to write statement. But this time, the officers from B Division Warri tortured Ifunanya to get information but he couldn’t make it like many Nigerians who passed away through that process.�Ifunanya fainted and was rushed to General hospital and was confirmed Dead by the Doctor”

Harrison stated that the police hurriedly arraigned the other people arrested with Ifunanya and charged them for Armed robbery. The other people are currently in Okere Prison awaiting DPP advice for a crime they didn’t commit.

Ifunanya is currently in a mortuary. Harrison says himself and some residents of the state would be having a peaceful protest over the incident later this week.

Nigerian singer, Timaya has said he is done making babies for now, following his latest addition – a son he had with his second baby mama, Tama in the United states.

Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has said that the 800 metres trekking President Buhari embarked on from the Eid-ground in Daura to his private residence, is an indication of his fitness to seek re-election in 2019.

The Head of states decided to walk back home to acknowledge the cheers from the residents of Daura who filed out in their numbers to cheer him.

According to Garba, the President’s action has refuted Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal’s claim that the president is “too old” to continue to rule the country beyond 2019.

“We love President Buhari and that was why we supported him in 2015 unconditionally, and while doing that, we are too sure that he will seek re-election after his first term, but when things are wrong we have to tell him. We still believe in his integrity, patriotism and courage but these are not enough for a leader. We all know that there is a vacuum in the government occasioned by his disposition probably because of his old age or health condition. That is why Nigerians are yearning for younger ones to lead this country” Tambuwal said in a statement released yesterday

However, Malam Garba Shehu, President Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, said the trekking by the president was a response to Tambuwal’s diatribe on the president.

“I think there are two things here; one is to say that the President is responsive to the enormous support and commitment of his own people that had come out in their numbers to see him and he just decided that he couldn’t go on riding in a blacken vehicle and he came out and walked to the distance. The second thing, he is curious that these days, one or two people who are aspiring to be president are campaigning on their youthfulness and good health.

“I think the president has done one thing today – that the issue is not how old one is but how fit is he; how healthy is he. Now that the president has proven his fitness and well-being to continue in office is a settled matter. I think that if people want to campaign against him they should do so on issues that are of significance to Nigerians. The President is fit, he is healthy; he is good to go’’ he said

Nigerian music producer, Yinka Ayefele, whose N800million music house was demolished this past Sunday by agents of the Oyo State government, has disclosed that the state’s , Abiola Ajimobi gave his wife the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000) and assured that he will not demolish the building.

Ayefele made the revelations while reading his press statement titled “Governor Ajimobi and the Sunday breakfast disaster”, at a press conference held at the demolished building on Monday evening.

He disclosed that his wife during a visit to the governor on Saturday was on her knees begging the governor for several hours not to demolish the building, adding that he was surprised that the building was demolished despite the Governor’s assurance to the wife.

The Juju musician, who was in tears as he gave the narrative, insisted that contrary to the claim of the Oyo State government that the building contravened town planning law, he has necessary papers for the building housing his radio station, Fresh FM 105.9.

Ayefele in an emotion-laden speech, revealed that his wife was in Ajimobi’s house to beg the Governor not to demolish the building, and that the Governor promised to look into the matter.

Ayefele, who said he would have followed his wife to beg the governor if not for the fact that he was on hospital bed on Saturday, revealed that the governor even gave his wife the sum of $1,000 when she was leaving his (Ajimobi) house. He, however, said he was surprised that the state government went ahead to demolish the building few hours later.

Ayefele said,

“I am sad that all I laboured for for almost twenty years had been pulled down. “Let me also bring to your notice that that my wife was with the governor till around 3.00 a.m on Saturday. She was able to meet the governor and he assured her that the building will not be demolished and as an assurance, when she was leaving, the governor gave her $1,000”

n the spirit of Eid al-Adha that’s been celebrated by the Muslims today, 21st of August, 2018, head of States, President Muhammadu Buhari has been pictured on camera slaughtering the customary Ram used for the celebration of the day.

It’s customary that during the Holiday, a Ram is slaughtered for the celebration of the day and from photos shared online, PMB did the honour of slaughtering the animal that’s to be used to celebrate at his side.

Little Girl who was kidnapped at a party in Port Harcourt found after 4 years

A young girl identified as Onyinyechi Okpala who was kidnapped when she was 2 years old has been found four years later.

Onyinyechi went missing on 30th November 2014, when she and her mother went for an end of the year party which was hosted by her uncle named “Taribo” in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

A search was conducted but the girl wasn’t found as months turned to years.

Yesterday, 20th August 2018, the little girl, who is now 6, was found by the Imo state police who busted a child trafficking syndicate. A total of eleven stolen children were recovered from the suspects some of whom have been identified by their parents.

The Imo State Police Command have arrested eight suspects in connection with child stealing and trafficking. The arrests were made between 24/07/2018 and 17/08/2018 at Agbor Park in Benin City Edo State and Imo State respectively.

According to social media reports, some classmates to his wife, Vivien, they claim this isn’t the first case of abuse by the singer.

The latest attack happened on Saturday, shortly after the singer finished a video shoot with Davido, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday.

They cause of the attack was not stated, but a close friend to Vivien, identified as Pella, claimed Duncan just flew down to Lagos, shortly after beating up his wife and hasn’t shown any sign of remorse.

He was said to have called Vivien, this morning, to tell her that she shouldn’t have shared the picture of her face with her friends, as it can dent his image. (Read The FULL Report Here).
