Nigerian Lady Reveals She and Her Husband Were Not on Speaking Terms the Day He Paid Her Bride Price

Christie and her husband were not exactly radiating romance on one of the most significant days of their relationship. They were not speaking to each other at all.

The Nigerian woman shared the story on Facebook on Thursday, April 16, and it has since resonated with a wide audience, partly because of how honest it is and partly because of how it ended.

According to Christie, she and her then-boyfriend had a disagreement shortly before his family arrived to pay her bride price. By the time the ceremony began, both of them were still stewing in silence. They sat through the entire process, surrounded by family on both sides, without exchanging a word with each other. He paid. She agreed to leave with him. They walked out together and were still not talking.

She says that throughout the ceremony, she was quietly wrestling with herself, asking whether she was making the right decision, wondering why he was going ahead with it while they were both clearly upset, and questioning whether the whole thing was even God’s will.

In her own words: “When my husband came with his family to pay my bride price, we weren’t even talking. We had a little misunderstanding, and throughout the whole process, we just stayed quiet. Deep down, I kept asking myself questions: Is this truly the will of God? Why is he still going ahead with this while we’re both upset? He went ahead and paid, I agreed to go with him, yet we were still angry with each other. But look at us today. This can only be God.”

She says their marriage today is stronger than it has ever been, and she shared the story as an encouragement to people who are believing God for a life partner, assuring them that the journey does not always start perfectly, and that is not necessarily a sign that something is wrong.

“Tell Him to Forget About Me” — Nigerian Woman Reveals Husband Returned Her to Her Parents Two Weeks Before Their Church Wedding

Rejoice Elisha had a wedding date. December 29, 2025. A church, a dress, a future she had been building toward since her traditional marriage in October 2022.

Two weeks before that date, her husband packed her up and took her back to her parents’ house without a word of warning to her.

She shared the full story in a Facebook post on Friday, April 17, 2026, and the reason she chose to speak now is straightforward: Bongos has come back begging, and she wants the record to exist.

According to Rejoice, she and Bongos had been traditionally married since October 8, 2022, but the relationship was never stable. Trust issues and domestic violence were recurring problems throughout their time together.

By the time their church wedding was approaching, they had already separated three times. The fourth separation came differently.

Bongos drove her to her parents and left, telling her he was done. What she did not know until days later was that he had already gone ahead to inform her father privately that he would not be proceeding with the marriage, citing her stubbornness and lack of respect as his reasons. She heard it secondhand, from her father, after the fact.

She tells it in her own words:

“My supposed husband took me back to my parents two weeks to our wedding saying”he’s not marrying me again, that I’m too stubborn and very disrespectful” she wrote.

“We got married traditionally 8/10/2022, since then we’ve not been peaceful the major issue we keep having is Trust issues and Domestic violence.

“December 29/12/2025 was the date but he decided to take me back to my parents without me knowing it was few days after he left my father told me that my husband said he’s not marrying me again that I was too stubborn and very disrespectful.

“I fell sick immediately I was dripped and placed on medication. The same thing happened to my father after telling me.

“His family couldn’t even call me to at least hear if something happened, but immediately demanded for everything that was paid on me to be refund, so my family accepted because we’ve separated for three times and this was the fourth time, clearly both families are exhausted and we’re left with no option than to do the needful which was the refund.

“But decided to return me to my parents, and because it was more like a force because I never knew about it until he left I accepted it, now he’s disturbing and I know deep down that he didn’t mean it when he say sorry because if he actually love me as he claims now he wouldn’t have gone xtra miles.

“Now after the wedding date and send forth prayer passed the same man who brought me back to my parents came begging that”he’s sorry and that he doesn’t know what came over him”

“If you are close to him, tell him to forget about me and move on, and that God will bless him with a woman who will honor him since I couldn’t.”

“That’s When It Hits Me” — Lady Says Taking Her Car to the Mechanic Alone Is What Makes Being Single Feel Real

It is rarely the big things that remind you that you are doing life alone. More often than not, it is the small, unglamorous ones.

A lady has sparked a conversation online after sharing the specific moment that consistently makes her feel the weight of being single, and it is not Valentine’s Day or a wedding invitation or any of the usual suspects people point to. It is the mechanic.

In a video she shared, she explained that nothing drives home her relationship status quite like having to sort out her car repairs by herself. No one to call. No one to send. Just her, showing up at a mechanic’s shop, trying to explain what is wrong with a vehicle while navigating all the uncertainty that comes with that experience as a woman alone.

Her point was not that she cannot handle it. She clearly can, and does. But she made the observation that if she were married, the situation would look different. A husband would either sort it out himself or at the very least arrange for the mechanic to come to her rather than the other way around. That layer of logistical support, small as it sounds, is what she says she notices the absence of most.

The video has resonated widely, with many women in the comments saying they understood exactly what she meant. It is not always loneliness in the emotional sense that surfaces when you are single. Sometimes it is just the Tuesday afternoon of it all, the practical, unglamorous reality of having no one to split the load with when something breaks down.

Lady screams in excitement after witnessing a surprise proposal at a restaurant (Watch)

A lady screamed in excitement after witnessing a surprise proposal while filming herself at a restaurant.

According to her, she was recording when a sudden scream from another table caught her attention. Initially confused, she thought someone had found something unusual in their food.

She wrote in the caption,

Omggg congrats to this beautiful couple 💍❤️. It was the sweetest proposal!!! I literally thought she found something in her food until the sparklers went off . She was genuinely surprised!!!

However, she quickly realized the scream came from a woman who had just been proposed to. The surprise, combined with sparklers lighting up the moment, made it clear what was happening.

Excited for the couple, the lady immediately switched her camera to capture the scene and couldn’t help but join in the excitement, screaming along in celebration.

Describing it as one of the sweetest proposals she had seen, she noted how genuinely surprised the bride-to-be was.

The video has warmed hearts online, with many viewers celebrating love and the joy of unexpected, beautiful moments.

While some explained that they would buy a wine for the couple to celebrate, others joked about the lady’s facial expression before she realized the scream was justified.

“I bought it for myself but he has inherited it” – Woman films her husband having fun with a talking cactus toy (Watch)

A woman has shared a hilarious moment after her husband completely took over a cactus toy she originally bought for herself.

In the video, the toy, known for repeating whatever it hears, became the center of entertainment as her husband began interacting with it. From speaking to it and hearing his words echo back, to even singing along, he fully immersed himself in the fun.

Amused by the situation, the woman joked that although she bought the toy for herself, her husband had clearly “inherited” it.

She also added that people often think she’s the playful one in their marriage, but the video proved otherwise; her husband might actually be the bigger clown.

While some viewers shared their intention to purchase the gift for their toddlers, others pointed out the importance of having a lively partner.

Apostle Chibuzor Suspends Plan to Marry Off Autistic Daughter Chiemeka After Many Men Indicated Interest In Marrying Her

Omega Power Ministries has announced the suspension of its plan to arrange a marriage for Chiemeka Chibuzor, a 21-year-old autistic young woman under the care of the ministry’s founder, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, following widespread public criticism of the arrangement.

The announcement was made on the ministry’s Facebook page, where OPM stated that despite receiving more than a thousand applications from interested men, the wedding would not proceed for the time being. “Chiemeka Chibuzor wedding is hereby suspended. More than a thousand applications. No more wedding, pending further directive from me HRM King, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere,” the statement read.

The plan had been announced earlier this week when Apostle Chibuzor publicly advertised for a husband for Chiemeka, stating that she has autism but can speak and hear well. He outlined requirements for prospective suitors and listed a package of financial benefits, including lifetime financial support, a free house, and a jointly built property, describing the arrangement as being in the interest of Chiemeka’s care, protection, and happiness.

The announcement drew immediate criticism from Nigerians who raised concerns about the ethics of publicly arranging marriages for vulnerable individuals with cognitive disabilities, particularly regarding the question of informed consent. The backlash intensified in the context of a similar arrangement made two weeks earlier, when Apostle Chibuzor facilitated the marriage of his autistic foster son, Aboy Chibuzor, to an older woman who was offered a comparable financial package.

Calls have since been renewed for the nullification of Aboy’s marriage on the grounds that he is non-verbal and requires assistance with basic daily activities, a condition that critics argue makes it impossible for him to have given meaningful consent to the union.

Neither Apostle Chibuzor nor OPM has addressed those calls directly at the time of this report.

Drama unfolds in a car as pet dog refuses to vacate the front seat for the owner’s sister (Watch)

In a hilarious yet tense moment, a lady’s pet dog firmly claimed the front seat of her car and refused to let her sister sit there.

Despite her repeated instructions to the dog to move to the back seat, it remained steadfast, clearly uninterested in relinquishing its spot. Things escalated when her sister tried to intervene by opening the door to push the dog back.

Instead of cooperating, the dog reacted aggressively, almost charging at her, which forced her to quickly shut the door. Even after that, the dog continued barking at her, making it clear that the front seat was non-negotiable.

The moment has sparked laughter online, with many viewers joking about how the dog knows the meaning behind the owner’s seat in a car.

Man who flew to Turkey for teeth surgery now left with no teeth at all

Jon Denton went to Turkey with £3,500, fourteen implants, and a genuine hope that he was finally about to get his smile back. He came home with no teeth at all.

The 34-year-old delivery driver from Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire is now raising funds to fix what went wrong, and his story has become one of the more harrowing cautionary tales to emerge from the booming dental tourism industry that has seen thousands of Britons fly to Turkey in search of affordable treatment.

His troubles did not start in a dentist’s chair. They started on a road in January 2020, when Jon was involved in a serious motorbike crash that forced doctors to knock out his front teeth just to get a breathing tube down his throat. Metal was then inserted into his jaw during his recovery, and the combination of trauma and difficulty brushing left his remaining teeth in a steady state of deterioration. By the time he was ready to seek help, he was dealing with constant toothache and had to cut his food into small pieces just to get through a meal.

He reached out to a dentist in the UK and was quoted £30,000 for the treatment he needed. That was not a realistic number for a delivery driver with two children, so he started looking elsewhere.

He found a clinic in Turkey with good reviews, no high-pressure sales tactics, and pricing that sat comfortably in the middle range of what was on offer. It felt like a safe choice. In January this year, he flew out and had 14 implants screwed into his mouth over the course of six hours in the dentist’s chair, followed by his new teeth being glued in the very next day.

At first, he loved what he saw in the mirror. Then the pain came. Not the manageable kind that comes with any dental procedure but the nine-out-of-ten, throbbing, constant kind that had him wishing he had broken his leg again instead. His temporary bottom teeth fell out while he was sitting on his sofa laughing. The infection set in. Brushing became impossible. He flew back to Turkey in March 2026 for what he was told would be a straightforward fix.

He woke up from sedation with nothing in his mouth.

The dentist, he claims, had removed all of the implants while he was under, citing implant failure. Jon was then given two options: pay for dentures at the same clinic, or accept a partial refund of £2,700. He took the refund and flew home.

“I remember waking up and there was nothing there,” he said. “There was no need to remove them all. It was a shock.”

He locked himself away for days after returning. His partner’s birthday came around recently and he tried to eat a piece of soft cake. He could not manage it.

Jon is clear that he does not want his experience to be read as a blanket warning against dental work in Turkey. He acknowledges that plenty of people have come back with excellent results. But his outcome has been the opposite, and the toll it has taken goes beyond his mouth. He says he wakes up in a bad mood every day, struggles to motivate himself for work, and worries about what the ongoing situation is doing to his relationship.

“It’s the worst thing I’ve ever been through,” he said. “I wish I could turn back time.”

He is currently fundraising to cover the cost of starting the entire process again elsewhere, this time hoping for a very different ending.

“AI is not your helper” — Actress Ruth Kadiri warns Christians against replacing the Holy Spirit with tech

Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has stepped into a conversation that not many Nigerian public figures have been willing to touch directly, and she came with a full opinion.

In a video she shared recently, Kadiri raised concerns about what she sees as a growing pattern among Christians, the habit of turning to artificial intelligence for answers and guidance in situations where, in her view, the Holy Spirit should be the first point of contact.

Her argument is not that AI is useless. She acknowledged that it delivers answers and can solve problems. But she drew a firm line between what AI can do and what she believes faith offers, saying that no matter how precise or helpful a response from an AI tool might be, it cannot give the kind of deep fulfilment and spiritual clarity that comes from a genuine relationship with God. That gap, she said, is significant and worth paying attention to.

She also described AI as essentially an imitation of something that already exists within the framework of faith, suggesting that people gravitate toward it because it feels modern, impressive and immediately accessible, without always stopping to consider what they might be trading away in the process.

To ground her point, she shared something personal. She described a period when she had been feeling overwhelmed and scattered, unable to find focus or direction. Rather than reaching for a screen, she said a simple prayer before bed. The next morning, she woke up with clarity, energy and a clear sense of what she needed to do. That, she said, is the kind of thing no algorithm can replicate.

Her broader concern is that people are quietly drifting away from spiritual relationships and real-life communities, replacing them with digital alternatives that offer convenience but not depth.

The video has drawn mixed reactions, with some agreeing strongly with her position and others pushing back, arguing that using AI as a tool does not necessarily signal a weakening of faith.

21-year-old lady struggling with bedwetting shared what happened after her admission into the university

A Nigerian woman has shared her story of struggling with bedwetting well into adulthood, and the account she gave is the kind that makes you sit with it long after you have finished reading. Not because it is dramatic in the way most viral stories are, but because of how quietly devastating it was, year after year, night after night, for most of her life.

By her own account, her family tried everything. They woke her up every hour through the night to use the bathroom. They cut off her water intake from 3pm. They took her to churches. Someone made her sit on hot coal. Red oil was rubbed on her body. There were soaps, medications, home remedies passed down and tried with diminishing hope. None of it worked. And when it did not work, what followed was flogging, insults, and shame. The kind of shame that gets layered onto a child so consistently it starts to feel like identity.

She was the only one of five siblings who did not attend a boarding school. Not because she did not want to. Because she could not risk it. She avoided travelling. She avoided men. She built her life around managing a secret that was exhausting to keep and humiliating whenever it slipped out.

It slipped out once in a way she has never forgotten. Her best friend told the whole class. She fought her for it, and even though the fight is long behind her, the wound from that betrayal quietly reshaped how she trusted people from that point on.

Through all of it, she said she had one prayer she returned to for years. Just one. That God would make it stop.

It did not stop.

Then at 21, she got admitted into university and had to face a reality she had been dreading since childhood: a shared hostel. Strangers. Bunk beds. No way to hide. She was terrified in a way that went beyond the normal anxiety of starting a new chapter. She knew what she was carrying into that room.

So she did not sleep. For four days, she stayed awake, running on fear and determination, refusing to give her body the chance to betray her in front of people who did not yet know her story. On the fifth day, exhaustion won. She slept.

She woke up to a dry bed.

She said it was the happiest day of her life. And the nights that followed brought the same result. Dry. Consistently, inexplicably dry.

“It just stopped. Just like that. Till today, I don’t know why. Maybe it was fear. Maybe it was a new environment. Or maybe God finally said, it’s time,” she wrote.
She still does not have a medical explanation. And maybe she does not need one. What she has instead is the other side of something that once felt permanent, and the quiet, remarkable fact that one morning changed everything.

Read story below:

“At 21, I got admission into the university.
My parents were already tired of everything… so they let me go.

“I was terrified.
Terrified of being exposed.
Terrified of disgrace in the hostel.
So for 4 days… I didn’t sleep.
On the 5th day, my body gave up.
I slept.

And for the first time in 21 years…
I didn’t wet the bed.
I woke up, checked… Dry.

I can’t even explain the feeling.
That was the happiest day of my life.
Then the next day… still dry.
And the next… still dry.

It just stopped.
Just like that.
Till today, I don’t know why.
Maybe it was fear.
Maybe it was a new environment.

Or maybe…
God finally said, “It’s time.”

If you’re going through something you’re ashamed of… I hope this reminds you:
Your story is not over yet.”

Nigeria’s economy is growing faster than U.S, UK – President Tinubu’s aide, Daniel Bwala

President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has pointed to the International Monetary Fund’s latest World Economic Outlook as evidence that Nigeria’s economy is on an upward trajectory, outpacing several of the world’s major economies in projected growth for 2026.

Bwala made the claim on his X account on Wednesday while reacting to the IMF report, which was released in April 2026. In his post, he credited the improvement to the reforms being implemented under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, saying the results are beginning to show even if the process has been difficult.

“Nigeria, under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is turning the corner. Slowly but steadily, the reforms are showing tangible fruits. President Tinubu is not joking; he is seriously fixing the economy,” he wrote.

The IMF figures he referenced do support his headline comparison. According to the World Economic Outlook, Nigeria’s real GDP is projected to grow at 4.1% in 2026, which does place it ahead of the United States at 2.3%, the United Kingdom at 0.8%, Germany at 0.8%, and South Africa at 1.0%. The projection improves further to 4.3% in 2027, putting Nigeria in line with the broader Sub-Saharan Africa regional average for that year.

However, the full picture from the same IMF table offers some context worth noting. Nigeria’s 4.1% growth projection, while higher than those western economies, sits within a Sub-Saharan Africa regional average of 4.3% for 2026, meaning it is not leading the pack within its own region. India is projected at 6.5%, and several other emerging and developing economies are forecast to grow at comparable or faster rates.

Bwala’s post has drawn predictable reactions online, with supporters pointing to the numbers as validation of the administration’s economic direction, while critics argue that GDP growth figures tell only part of the story for ordinary Nigerians still contending with the cost of living, inflation, and the lingering effects of subsidy removal and currency devaluation.

The IMF report was sourced from the organisation’s World Economic Outlook published in April 2026.

Medical doctor passes on after giving birth to triplets in Bayelsa hospital

A medical doctor and obstetrician-gynecologist at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital in Okolobiri, Yenagoa, has died following complications that arose shortly after she successfully delivered triplets.

Dr. Ere Siana Sintei Ogbachi passed away at exactly 2:45am on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Intensive Care Unit of the Federal Medical Centre in Yenagoa, where she had been rushed after her condition deteriorated following the delivery.

Her brother, Meshack Sintei, confirmed her death in a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 15, describing the sequence of events that led to her passing.

According to Meshack, Dr. Ere successfully delivered the triplets at NDUTH in Okolobiri before complications set in, prompting her family to transfer her to FMC Yenagoa for emergency care. A team of doctors, specialists and medical experts at the facility’s ICU worked to stabilise her condition, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

“We watched her struggling to live, we watched her gasping for breath, we watched how the team of doctors and other experts and specialists in FMC kept trying their best to revive her,” Meshack wrote, adding that the pulse oximeter in the ICU eventually read down from 70 to 50 and then to zero.
He described his sister as a fighter who held on until the very end.

“After she successfully gave birth to Triplet at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital (NDUTH) in Okolobiri, Yenagoa LGA Bayelsa State, complications arises that eventually forced us to rush her to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in FMC Yenagoa,” he wrote.

“It was at the ICU in FMC that she eventually gave up the ghöst. My beloved sister, Dr. Ere Siana Sintei Ogbachi d!ed at exactly 2:45am on April 14th 2026.

“We watched her struggling to live, we watched her gasping for birth, we watched at how the team of doctors and other experts and specialists in FMC kept trying their best to revive her, we watched her fighting hard her to survive, and then all of a sudden; the Sp02machine (pulse oximeter) in the ICU began reading/measuring downwards from 70 to 50 and then to 0.

“It was at this point tears started rolling down my eyes 😢 and I knew the inevitable has come. It was a painful experience and more painful for her.

“I want her family and friends to know that she was a fighter to the end. Indeed a generation has been lost and the Sintei Family mourns. It is well. We thank our families, friends, loved ones and well wishers who have reached out and continued to reach out to us.

“(Until her dëäth, she was a Wife, a Mother to Triplet, a Medical Doctor, a Registrar at the NDUTH, a member of the NMA and an Alumnus of the Niger Delta University).”

Until her death, Dr. Ere Siana Sintei Ogbachi was a wife, a mother, a registrar at NDUTH, a member of the Nigerian Medical Association, and an alumnus of Niger Delta University.

The three babies she delivered survived.

She is survived by her husband, her newborn triplets, and her family, who have called on friends and well-wishers to continue keeping them in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult period.

“I have given out millions without a single soul knowing” — Actress Bimbo Ademoye addresses those bashing her over giveaway

Bimbo Ademoye has had enough, and she made sure her 5.1 million followers knew exactly where she stands.

The AMVCA-winning actress took to her Instagram page to address the growing wave of criticism surrounding her ongoing giveaways, and the statement she dropped was equal parts frustration, clarity, and a very direct warning to anyone thinking about crossing a line with her.

It started with her movie hitting 10 million views in just 10 days, a milestone she openly credits to her fans. Off the back of that, she ran a giveaway as a way of giving back, and what followed was something she clearly did not expect. People flooded her DMs accusing her of running fake giveaways. Others screamed favouritism. And at least one person decided the appropriate response was to call her a “stingy goat.”

That last one, she said, was where things went too far.

She broke down the math for anyone struggling to understand why she cannot simply give everyone what they want. With 5.1 million followers, giving each person even 100,000 naira would amount to 510 billion naira. Her response to that figure was delivered in the most Nigerian way possible. “I no get, my papa no get, my forefathers no get!” She is doing this from her own pocket, she stressed, not from any sponsorship or bottomless account.

She also pushed back hard on the favouritism angle, pointing out that she specifically bars her friends and family from participating in her giveaways precisely to avoid any appearance of bias. The irony of being accused of favouritism while actively taking steps to prevent it was clearly not lost on her.

But it was the disrespect she kept coming back to. Bimbo made it clear that the easy, familiar energy she shares with her audience online has limits, and those limits exist regardless of whether someone is a fan or a stranger. “We might kiki, catch cruise and all, but when you cross the line, I can be petty enough to find you, then we can handle it one on one,” she wrote, signing off that section with a pair of “LET US ALL BE GUIDED” that left very little room for misinterpretation.

She also wanted the record straight on one more thing. The giveaways people are seeing publicly are not the full picture of what she gives. She said she has parted with millions privately, with nobody watching and nobody clapping, and that this public giveaway is simply her way of having fun while doing something good for her community.

She wrapped the post by congratulating the winner of her last question, @datsweetclassybae, who walked away with 200,000 naira and a Winston Leather bag, before immediately launching the next round with a new question for another 100,000 naira and a pair of Gbemisoke shoes.

The giveaway, it seems, continues. The tolerance for nonsense, however, does not.

Old tweets from 2021 shows Angel saying that she finds studs annoying

The internet never deletes anything. It just waits.

As the very public collapse of Angel Smith’s marriage to her partner Tumininu continues to play out across Snapchat and X, a tweet the BBNaija star posted back in June 2021 has found its way back into circulation, and people are finding the timing very hard to ignore.
In the resurfaced post, Angel wrote simply, “I hate studs.” Three words. No elaboration. Just a flat, unbothered declaration that she apparently felt strongly enough to put on the internet. When someone replied with “NAwa oh :/”, she followed up with “sorry. Y’all annoying,” which did very little to walk anything back.

For context, a stud in queer terminology typically refers to a dominant, often more masculine-presenting lesbian or queer woman. The kind of energy, many online are now pointing out, that Tumininu carries.

And that is where this gets complicated.

Angel has been openly queer for years. She has been clear about her pansexuality, her support for the LGBTQ+ community, and her right to love whoever she chooses without anyone attaching a backstory to it. When she married Tumininu in that all-black ceremony in the US on March 27, 2026, it felt like a full, public embrace of that identity.

But the marriage began unravelling almost immediately. Tumininu took to Snapchat with a series of explosive posts alleging that Angel had been unfaithful, that she had expressed doubts about their connection, that she had questioned her partner’s finances, and that there had been a troubling lack of intimacy between them. Leaked chat screenshots added even more texture to a situation that was already messy enough without them.

Now this old tweet is back in the mix, and people are connecting dots whether Angel wants them to or not. Some are using it to suggest the incompatibility between her and Tumininu was baked in from the start. Others are pointing out that preferences are complicated and a tweet from 2021 does not necessarily define who someone chooses to build a life with five years later.

What is undeniable is that Angel Smith’s personal life is currently one of the most discussed topics on Nigerian social media, and every old post, every resurfaced screenshot, every cryptic Instagram story is being fed into a machine that is running at full speed.

She has not responded to the resurfaced tweet. Given everything else currently on her plate, that is probably the least of her concerns right now.

I admitted to cheating on Will Smith to protect his ego — Jada Pinkett

When Jada Pinkett Smith sat down at that Red Table in 2020 and confirmed her relationship with singer August Alsina, the world watched what appeared to be a moment of radical honesty from one of Hollywood’s most scrutinised couples. It turns out there was a lot more calculation behind that moment than anyone knew.

Jada is now revealing, while promoting her new memoir “I am, You are, We are, Worthy!”, that her decision to publicly own the entanglement narrative was a deliberate one, made not out of a burning desire to be transparent, but to protect Will Smith and draw a line under a situation that was consuming their family.

She said it plainly. “So if I got to look like the adulterous wife to make sure you’re good, I’m gonna do it.” That single sentence reframes everything about how that Red Table Talk has been understood since it aired.

In her telling, she made a conscious choice to absorb the public’s judgment and become the villain of the story if that was what it took to get Will through the moment and get the whole thing behind them. “Okay, I’m the bad guy. I’m the worst. Great. Let’s be done with it. I wanted it done. Let’s be done. And let’s move on,” she said, capturing the exhaustion of someone who had simply decided that ending the conversation mattered more than how she came out of it.

What she also shared is something that speaks to a deeper tension she had been carrying within the relationship for years, the difficulty of loving someone fully without losing herself in the process. “I learned how to love myself and not leave Will on the side of the road. And I hadn’t learned how to love Will and not leave myself on the side of the road,” she said. It is the kind of line that takes a moment to sit with, because it describes something a lot of people in long, complicated relationships will recognise even if they have never had the words for it.

The Red Table Talk episode came in 2020, two years before the Oscars night that put the Smith family back at the centre of global conversation when Will walked onto the stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock in front of a worldwide audience. Looking at the full timeline now, with this new context from Jada, those two years between the entanglement confession and the Oscars slap take on a different weight.

Jada says she does not look back on any of it as purely negative. She frames the conversations they had publicly and privately as part of a longer journey toward understanding how to be genuine partners to each other without one of them always being the one left behind. Whether the public is ready to receive this new version of the story after everything that has happened is another question entirely.

But she is telling it anyway.

Apostle Chibuzor Offers House and Lifetime Financial Support to Any Young Man Willing to Marry His 21-Year-Old Autistic Foster Daughter

Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, founder of Omega Power Ministries, has once again taken to social media to seek a spouse for one of his autistic foster children, this time putting out a call for a husband for a young woman named Chiemeka Chibuzor.

In a post accompanied by a photo of the 21-year-old, the pastor described her condition and laid out both the requirements for any interested man and the benefits that would come with the arrangement. According to him, Chiemeka has autism but can speak and hear well. He specified that any man wishing to marry her must be young and physically and mentally fit in every regard.

On the benefits side, Chibuzor was generous with what he is putting on the table. The successful candidate would receive lifetime financial support, a free house for life, and a property built jointly in both the couple’s names. OPM staff would also conduct regular unplanned visits to the home to monitor Chiemeka’s safety and wellbeing. He added that there are further benefits beyond what he listed, which he described as hidden.

“This arrangement is to ensure that she is properly cared for, protected, and lives a happy life,” he wrote.

The post has since drawn significant attention online, with many Nigerians drawing direct comparisons to a similar situation that played out just weeks ago when the pastor put out a public call for a wife for his autistic foster son, Aboy Chibuzor. That arrangement also came with a financial package that included ten million naira, a house, an overseas vacation, and a promise of twenty million naira after ten years. It eventually led to a wedding that generated considerable public discussion in its own right.

Reactions to this latest post are still pouring in.

Justin Trudeau Gets Slammed for Sipping From a Plastic Cup at Coachella After Banning Single-Use Plastics Across Canada

The internet has a long memory, and Justin Trudeau is finding that out the hard way this week.

The former Canadian Prime Minister was spotted at the Coachella music festival over the weekend with his girlfriend, pop superstar Katy Perry, and the two of them looked like they were having a wonderful time. Perry posted footage of the outing, and in it, the couple could be seen sipping drinks from red Solo cups. A completely ordinary thing to do at a music festival. Except Trudeau is not a completely ordinary person, and the internet was not about to let this one go quietly.

Because here is the thing. When Trudeau was in office, he championed Canada’s ban on single-use plastics, a policy he pushed from as far back as 2019. Plastic bags, straws, a whole list of items were targeted in the name of environmental responsibility. Canadians were expected to adapt. And now, here was the man who sold them that sacrifice, casually enjoying his weekend beverage from a plastic cup at one of the biggest parties in the world, with his famous girlfriend filming the whole thing.

The reaction was swift and it was not kind.

“Remember when Justin Trudeau banned plastic bags and straws for Canadians to save the planet? Now he’s posting pics using solo cups. Rules for thee, but not for me,” one person wrote on X. Another kept it shorter and sharper, calling him out directly for drinking from a plastic cup after banning them for an entire country. Someone else laid it out in a neat little timeline format: Trudeau in June 2019 announcing the plastics ban, Trudeau in April 2026 smashing drinks from a Solo cup at Coachella.

The contrast did not need much editorial commentary.

To be fair, the specifics matter here. Canada’s single-use plastics legislation does not cover every type of plastic cup, so Trudeau may not have technically violated the letter of the law he helped create. But technicalities have never been great at cooling down public outrage, and the optics of the situation were always going to be the real story regardless of what the fine print says.

Trudeau resigned as Prime Minister in early 2025, stepping down after a turbulent final stretch in office. His personal life had already undergone a significant shift before that, having separated from his wife of 18 years, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, more than a year before his resignation. He went public with Katy Perry in October 2025, a pairing that raised plenty of eyebrows at the time and has continued to generate headlines since.

This particular headline, though, was probably not the kind either of them was hoping for when they packed their bags for the desert.

“Our story is real. Our pain is real. Our kidnapping was not fake” — Chibok kidnap survivor speaks on 12th anniversary of their abduction

Twelve years. And the weight of that night in April 2014 has not lifted.

Rebecca Mallum, one of the girls who survived the Chibok school kidnapping that shook Nigeria and drew global attention, marked the 12th anniversary of the abduction on Monday, April 14, with a deeply personal reflection that is difficult to read without feeling something shift inside you.

She wrote from her Facebook page, a space she has dedicated to keeping the memory of kidnapping victims alive and to sharing her own journey as a survivor. And on this particular anniversary, she had a lot to say.

She started the night before, when she posted that the following day was the date that divided her life into two halves. Before that night, she was just a girl with dreams. After it, she became someone fighting to survive. “It was the day fear found me. The day my voice was silenced. The day I was taken away from everything I knew and loved,” she wrote, adding that the mark left on her soul was one that time could never erase.

Then April 14 arrived, and she opened up further.

“Today, 14th April, is a date that will forever remain carved in my heart. It is the day my life changed in a way I never imagined. A day I went from being a young girl with dreams, laughter, and hope, to someone forced into a dark journey I would never have chosen,” she wrote.

She spoke about memories she still struggles to put into words. About nights that come back to her with a pain she cannot fully explain. About moments she says only God helped her survive. And she spoke about her sisters, the girls who were taken alongside her, some of whom never came back, and some of whom are still out there, somewhere, more than a decade later.

What gave her post an added layer of urgency was her direct response to a narrative that has quietly persisted in certain corners of Nigerian public discourse, the claim that the Chibok kidnapping was staged or exaggerated as a political tool to undermine the Goodluck Jonathan administration at the time. Rebecca did not engage with that theory gently. She shut it down with the full authority of someone who was actually there.

“Our story is real. Our pain is real. Our kidnapping was not fake. We lived it. We felt it. We are still healing from it,” she wrote.

It is a sentence that should not need to be said twelve years later. The fact that it does says something uncomfortable about how Nigeria processes its own tragedies.

Rebecca ended her post with gratitude for those who have continued to remember, pray and stand with the girls over the years, and with a plea that the world never stop doing so. She said she speaks not just for herself but for the sisters whose voices are still silent, and for those who never made it home at all.

Her Facebook page has become a quiet but consistent archive of memory, a place where the victims of kidnappings and insecurity in Northern Nigeria are not allowed to become statistics or footnotes. On the 12th anniversary of one of the most haunting events in recent Nigerian history, Rebecca Mallum is still showing up for her sisters.

That alone deserves to be remembered.

Lady shares outcome after her period came while she was eating at a Buka

A lady has shared a story of how she met her husband whilst she was having an embarrassing moment.

The lady had went to a Buka Hut to give herself a good time, and midway through the meal, her period came unexpectedly. She had no pad, nor any back up whatsoever.

After the meal she stood up to get an ice cream. She noticed people’s eyes were all over her, “but I didn’t understand why”.

She got the ice cream and a guy walked up to her and said, “Excuse me… your backside is stained. Please take my jacket to cover up”.

The lady could hardly contain how embarrassed she felt, but the guy’s kindness calmed her. He wrapped his jacket around her and offered to pay for her ride home.

“I insisted on paying, but honestly I was just grateful someone chose kindness over ridicule”, she adds.

They exchange numbers and later went on to get married.

“Sometimes, love doesn’t start with butterflies…sometimes it starts with kindness in your most vulnerable moment”, she concluded.

The story which was shared on X has stirred reactions from X-users:

@Obaiyno  Sometimes, I wonder why so many ladies dont track their menstruation, at least you should know that it is about time the rain will pour, 2to3days before at least, and get prepare for it anywhere you go within that period..me as a man, knows this things..ladies,be vigilant please.

@Nedtips Now that we are in rain season, I’ll start wearing a jacket cause I might meet a girl that is cold and I’ll give her my jacket and the rest will be history. Congratulations to you both. Kindness is always a good thing.

“Parenthood doesn’t end at the altar” — Nigerian woman shares heartwarming video of her husband supporting their pregnant daughter during labour

A Nigerian woman from Plateau State, Kyenpiya Nyabam, has sparked an outpouring of emotion online after sharing a video of her husband standing beside their pregnant daughter during labour, a gesture that many are calling a quiet but powerful display of fatherly love.

Nyabam posted the video on Facebook on Monday, April 13, alongside a lengthy caption reflecting on what she witnessed. In the post, she described watching her husband stand in the delivery space alongside their daughter and son-in-law as one of the most moving moments she had experienced as a mother.

“Watching my husband stand there, strong, steady, present, not just as a father who had given away his daughter, but as one who still covers, supports, and shows up,” she wrote, adding that the moment reshaped how she thinks about parenthood and marriage.

Her central message was that giving a child away in marriage does not mean stepping back from their lives entirely. In her words, parents do not give their children away but rather release them into purpose while remaining their safe place.

She also credited writer Judith Yop Pam-Tok for inspiring part of her reflection, noting that she drew from Pam-Tok’s own writing about parental presence during vulnerable moments.

The post has resonated widely, with many commenters sharing their own experiences and praising the family for modelling what involved, emotionally present parenthood looks like beyond the wedding day.

Lady shares her reaction after discovering her boyfriend’s sxx tapes with her and others.

A lady has come online to share what she did after she found her boyfriend’s sex videos with her and other girls.

According to her, they had just concluded another exciting session of coitus. She laid on his bed waiting on him to get her some food. Bored of waiting, she picked up his personal computer to watch a movie.

She opened his video gallery and behold.. videos; raw videos of him sleeping with different women naked…in the same room, with the same blanket.

Her jaws dropped when she saw theirs, “I froze”, she added.
At that moment, she mustered every courage she had and deleted everything – even from the trash.

Then she began having flashbacks of how he would beg her to send him n*d3s because her body was “art”…”not knowing he had secretly been recording me?”

When he returned, she didn’t even argue. She just left.

“Later he started calling, shouting, swearing

..not because he was sorry,

but because I deleted everything “

She concluded that, that was the end for her.

“Sometimes, you don’t need closure..

you just need and sense and

a safe exit”, she said as she concluded the story.

The story was shared on X by @TheOnlyKemi.

Some X-users have shared their opinions to tweet:

@deluxe_pastor Can you swear that the signs were not there from the very beginning, but you choose to ignore? Can you swear you didn’t choose him because of money or vanity?

@GarenOmonigho Secretly recording someone without consent is ill3gal in many places. You had every right to delete those videos. He was not protecting memories. He was building a library. The fact that he shouted about the deletion not the violation tells you his priority. You did not need closure. You needed distance. You took it. Well done.

Nigerian Chef Faces Criticism Over Cooking Method and Hygiene During Bulk Order (Watch)

There is a video going around and it has caterers, food lovers and everyday Nigerians deeply uncomfortable. Not because of anything dramatic, but because of the kind of details that make you quietly decide never to order food from a stranger again.

A Nigerian chef posted a clip of herself preparing a large batch of jollof rice for a bulk order, and what was probably meant to showcase her hustle ended up doing the complete opposite. From the moment the video started circulating, the comments section turned into a courtroom and she was not winning the verdict.

The first thing people noticed was the turning stick. For the amount of rice in that pot, viewers felt the stick she was using was comically undersized, raising genuine questions about whether the rice at the bottom was getting any attention at all or just sitting there doing whatever it pleased. Her posture over the pot did not help either, bent over in a way that had people visibly cringing as they watched.

Then there was the environment. Rice grains on the floor, water splashed around the cooking area, a general sense of disorder surrounding the whole operation. For someone cooking food that other people are going to pay for and eat, the state of the space around her became a talking point that refused to go away.

But the detail that really sent people over the edge was her nails. Long, acrylic, and very much present throughout the entire cooking process. The argument made itself. Long artificial nails and bulk food preparation are not a combination that inspires confidence, and the comments made sure she heard that clearly.

@Seky put it plainly, questioning why any chef would keep such nails in the first place. @zinnyser simply noted the state of the environment. @Joan took things further and claimed the meat stock had gone sour the night before the event, which if true, would make the jollof rice situation the least of anyone’s worries. @Tombrown went a different route entirely with a comment that was colourful enough to let your imagination fill in the blanks. And then there was the person who simply told her to sit inside the pot, which at that point felt like the internet’s way of saying it had seen enough.

To be fair, a few people acknowledged her hustle and defended her effort. Bulk cooking is genuinely hard work and not everyone who criticises from behind a screen could do it better. But the hygiene concerns raised in the video are not trivial, particularly when the food is going to a large group of people who have no idea what the kitchen looked like when their order was being prepared.

Man who returned after 6 years gets angry after his wife told him to use protection

Six years. That is how long this man was away. And on the very night he came back home, the first fight he picked was about a medical test.
The story has been making rounds on X after user @eezharhh shared it, and it has split the internet cleanly down the middle in the way only these kinds of deeply personal marital situations can.

Here is what happened. A Nigerian man returned home after spending six years abroad. By all accounts, he had been a present husband from a distance, sending money back regularly and keeping the family afloat while he was away. So when he got home and wanted to be intimate with his wife that same night, he probably expected a warm welcome. What he got instead was a request that stopped him in his tracks.

His wife told him she wanted them both to get tested before anything happened between them. Her reasoning was not dramatic or complicated. She simply said she wanted them to know their status and be safe. That was it.

The man’s reaction was to accuse her of not trusting him. He called it emotional blackmail.

Now the internet has opinions, and they are not shy about sharing them.

@eezharhh framed the question that started everything: after six years apart, is asking for a test disrespect or just common sense? He noted that some people feel the wife insulted her husband with the request, while others believe she simply protected herself from consequences that could follow her for the rest of her life. He ended with the line that really got people going: can anyone be away that long and genuinely expect zero questions?

The responses came in fast. @TheCaptainFam made the point that many others were thinking but did not say as directly: if the man has nothing to hide, a ten minute test should not be a problem, and only someone with something to hide would react with anger to that kind of request. @Jossyluv04 sided firmly with the wife, saying that wanting to be safe after a six year separation is not disrespect, it is responsibility. @_Oluwanifemii added a detail that several people had already clocked, that the man landed and was asking for intimacy the same night, which raised its own set of eyebrows.

The lone voice in the man’s corner came from @Baruch_Bashan, who argued that the wife’s insistence on a test was essentially a statement of distrust in her husband’s judgment and his ability to look after himself while abroad.

And there it is. That is where the internet is camped on this one. Two very different ways of reading the exact same situation, and neither side seems particularly interested in moving.

What is harder to argue with, though, is the simple arithmetic of the situation. Six years is a long time. People change. Circumstances change. Asking for a test is not an accusation. It is a conversation. The fact that the conversation ended in anger before it even properly began might be the most telling detail of the whole story.
