Nigerian actor Denola Grey took to Instagram to share some words of inspiration, prompting varying reactions from netizens.

The actor decided to share some poetic words via his Instagram reels about how one should live their lives.

He spoke about the birds and trees, about how he has never seen them take life seriously, yet to him, they seem to be enjoying their existence.

He wrote;

“I don’t think existence wants you to be serious. I have not seen a serious tree. I have not seen a serious bird. I have not seen a serious sunrise. I have not seen a serious starry night. It seems they are all laughing in their own ways, dancing in their own ways. We may not understand it, but there is a subtle feeling that the whole existence is a celebration.”

The message of his post seemed to urge people not to take life too seriously but to enjoy, as he put it, “existence is a celebration”.

The average person in the country has no choice but to take life seriously due to just how difficult it is to survive, pointing out his flowery words does not reflect reality. Even the birds struggle day to day to find food, or they starve.

The actor shared online that he had gone to a restaurant in Lagos with his date, but did not specify the name of the place.

In the video he shared, he explained that the cost of the meal he ordered was just ₦7,500, which included the price of his drink.

However, the lady he had taken out on a date decided to order something much more expensive: a shrimp dish that cost ₦40,000. He even remarked that he had not eaten such a meal in his life.

Shocked at the price of her food, he decided he was not paying and intended to leave her with the bill.
