A Nigerian man has taken to the microblogging platform, X, to share a controversial take about career women and housewives.
According to the X user @OsasuYwie, a woman who is happy to stay at home to cook and clean for her husband is better than one who chases her career.
In his defense, he argued that women who prioritize their careers often end up being more ‘masculine’ than women who are more domesticated.
He further advised men to go for homely women who gives them peace, supports, nurtures and genuinely loves them.
He wrote on Saturday, November 11,
“A woman who wants to cook & clean for you has more to offer you than the one who chases her career. The stress women receive from chasing a career is turning her more masculine. A woman that is happy at home cleaning and cooking, making art, and taking care of a family is in high demand these days.
If she brings you peace, Supports you, nurtures you, and loves you. You should keep her. The one chasing her career will always keep her “options” open due to the influx of male interactive traffic. Understand to Prosper.”

Nigerian singer and rapper, Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, professionally known as Khaid, has recounted his struggles growing up with a tailor father and mother who was a teacher.
He mentioned that he was raised in a household of ten, consisting of his parents, eight siblings, and himself. He also disclosed that he was still working as a hustler mechanic when he had his big break with Sydney Talker.
He added that he didn’t finish his education after graduating from high school because he was terrified of writing the JAMB and didn’t want to attend university.
Khaid did point out that he had worked as a mechanic, painter, and barber while hustling after high school.
Khaid said; “I grew up in a family of eight kids. My dad was a tailor and my mum was a teacher as well as a hairstylist. I grew up in the Ojo area of Lagos State. My primary and secondary education was at Ola Greater Tomorrow School, Ojo. I started singing when I was in secondary school after which I dabbled in different street hustles. I was once a mechanic, painter and a barber.
I was influenced to do music from a very young age because my parents were music lovers. My dad loved fuji music and my mum listened to Michael Jackson. From constantly listening to Michael Jackson, I got exposed to more foreign music. That was where my love for trap music grew and I started making trap songs.”
I was still a mechanic then when Sydney Talker sent me a message on Instagram. When I saw that he followed me and ‘liked’ some of my posts, I thought it was a fake account.
So, I did not bother to check it out. When I eventually checked it, I wanted to send him a message to thank him for following me. But I realised he already texted me. We kept talking until one day, I just told him I was in Lagos Island and asked if I could come see him. I went to his house and I came up with about six songs. After a freestyle session, I later got signed and we did the paperwork.”
Speaking on his plans to complete his education, Khaid said; “I still have plans to go to university. Immediately after I left secondary school, I did not want to go to university because I was scared of writing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. Also, I was a mechanic at the time up until I got signed to a record label.”
Big Brother Naija star and disc jockey, Tolani Shobajo better known as Tolanibaj, has stirred reactions online after she revealed her stance on feminism.

According to Tolanibaj, who believes that the genders are not equal, the woman’s role is to enhance the man, not to compete with him.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate stated that because of the aforementioned reasons, she is unable to identify as a feminist.
“I feel like women are not supposed to compete with men, they are just supposed to complement them. That’s why I can’t say I am a feminist because I don’t see how if a man is doing gra gra, as a woman I should be doing gra gra too”

Popular Nollywood actress Uche Jombohas stated that ambitious women put in almost twice as much work to achieve and reach the top of a sector dominated by men.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, she discussed the difficulties faced by women who want to succeed as trailblazers and stay relevant in their field.
The filmmaker claims that whereas many of her male colleagues who began their careers earlier than her have moved on to other pursuits, she is still putting in long hours into filmmaking.
She said,
“Women are very serious-minded people. I remember when I started producing movies, there were a lot of my male colleagues who started producing at the same time.
Some of them started doing other things and are no longer interested in filmmaking as of today. But I am still here toughening things out. In essence, when women put their minds to something, they do it because normally, women would work twice as hard to prove themselves.”
She explained that it can be traced back to Nollywood’s early days when asked why women in the industry need to put in extra effort to show their worth.
The actress noted that because the profession was formerly a boys’ club, it took a while for men to respect and accept her because she was a woman.
She explained, “When Nollywood started, it was a boys club. As a woman coming to produce your film, it takes a while to be taken seriously. I think the film that made people take me seriously was ‘Damaged’. But I had done three films before ‘Damaged’ as an executive producer and producer. That film did well. It was an advocacy film.”

The lecturer (Dr. F.K Ariyo) in his exact words asked, “why are you in my class and who are you impersonating?”, the students in the class laughed as he said this, me also thinking it Was a joke and wondering how a 200L student would come to impersonate a 400L student laughed and replied “I’m not impersonating anyone sir I just stepped into your class and realized it was the wrong class and i stepped out immediately”, he said I was lying and insisted that I Came to impersonate someone. He said he was going to arrest me and take me to the school CSO and sent a student to call the security for me. While the student was at that, he asked “why do you have this type of hair?” And I replied saying “this is my natural hair” and he said I was Lying because men don’t come with this type of hair, I didn’t argue because it’s not the first time someone is saying it’s not my real hair. He asked for my ID card which I immediately gave him, at this time, the security was already there, he gave the security man my ID card and Told him to take me away. I immediately tried to make a call to my brother who is also a student or my mum to inform them about what was happening and that they might not be able to reach me cause I’d be at the security’s post. He then said I shouldn’t call anyone and switch off The phone and hand it over, I said I couldn’t hand over my phone because I didn’t know my offence and I just wanted to know what I did wrong. The security man began to drag me by my trousers, I told him to leave me alone but he kept dragging me, Dr. Ariyo then took it up from the Security and tried to forcefully collect my phone. In the process, he strangled my neck to the wall, broke my phone screen, broke my right index finger, tore my trousers and after collecting the phone punched me in the back of my head, the security man then dragged me out by my Trousers aggressively while I was screaming and asking, “what have I done?”, “why are you dragging me like a thief?” This is what really went down yesterday. The 28 years old singer, who recently revealed that what prompted her to start making music was because she had no friend, quoted the tweet of her manager and wrote,
“Changed our lives forever. His healing power and His saving grace. They don’t know but be acting like they do. I can’t keep quiet about it!!”
While sharing the post on the microblogging platform X, her manager thanked God for delivering Tems. According to him, God delivered the singer from something he has chosen not to disclose.
He wrote above the pictures he shared,
“If they only knew what the Lord delivered you from. Thank you Lord Jesus for your tender love and mercy. Impossible is nothing with you”

According to them, when people chose to be loud about God, people will think they are mad but they are the only ones that knows what they have been through.
American actress and singerKeke Palmer has filed a restraining order against her baby daddy Darius Jackson and requests full custody of their 8-month-old son.
According to Keke, she is filing a restraining order on the grounds of abuse, which includes physical violence and destruction of property.
Keke, who is 30, mentioned that she and Darius, who is 29, had broken up in early October after being together for two years due to the physical and emotional abuse he inflicted on her.
The Nickelodeon star claimed that she has security footage recorded by a CCTV camera in her house from November 5th, where Darius “trespassed into her home without her knowledge or consent” and “threatened” her before “lunging for her neck, striking her, throwing her over the couch, and stealing her phone.”
She went on to add that there have been many instances of physical violence with Darius which includes “destroying her personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing her belongings into the street, throwing her car keys to prevent her from driving away, hitting [her] in front of our son, spewing profanities about her to their son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if she left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse
According to her she wants him to complete a 52-week batterer intervention program.
Adding that “It is because of our son, Leo, that I was finally able to end my relationship with Darius once and for all and escape the abuse,” she wrote. “Leo is the most important thing in the entire world to me; he needs and deserves to be safe and grow up in an environment free from violence. Unfortunately, ending my relationship with Darius has not ended his abuse — if anything, he is even more unhinged, volatile and dangerous to both me and our son.”
After she filed, Darius shared a picture of himself and their child on the microblogging platform X with the caption, “I love you, son. See you soon.”

Nigerian music producer and singer, John Udomboso, professionally known as Young John, has revealed that he believes in polygamy because he doesn’t like monogamous relationships.
Speaking with media personality Toke Makinwa on the ‘Toke Moments’ podcast, the singer stated that he doesn’t want to be limited to just one woman.
The 28-year-old singer also opined that many people don’t believe in monogamy but they don’t want to accept their reality.
His words:
“I don’t want to be limited to just one woman. I am just free”.
“Contrary to the popular belief that musicians and entertainers are promiscuous, though there’s a lot of women around the scene, everybody is engaging in these things. They’re simply not as visible about it. Musicians, however, have their lives on display, so everyone sees what they do.
“My polygamous nature isn’t because of the industry I’m in. Ever since I was a young boy, I used to question everything. I’d ask why it has to be one man and one woman. Since then, I’ve always wanted to explore different routes. I don’t want to say fantasies.”
A while back, Young John stirred reactions after he publicly shot his shot at sensational singer, Tiwa Savage. Read here

In conclusion, Jidenna said he is ashamed of the things he did to women.
