A Nigerian man identified as Ikenna Modestus has been captured on camera as he was brutally attacked and battered by angry mobs for allegedly sleeping with his benefactor’s girlfriend in Kenya.

Veteran Actress, Joke SIlva was featured on a recent edition of LOVEHAVEN magazine, and she spoke on her adoption and how it came to her knowledge that she was adopted.
The 56-year-old veteran, was adopted by the late Chief E.A Silva, a reputable lawyer, the then Babajiro of Lagos and his wife late Dr Abimbola Silva a pioneering female doctor, who died in July 2015.

Paul Okoye or Rudeboy, is currently on tour in Europe and he has just shared a story of how a cancelled flight almost led him to disappoint his fans in Copenhagen, Denmark.
According to the “Reality” singer, there wasn’t any more flight for himself and his crew to reach their desired destination, they eventually had to get there via a slower medium.
He shared,
‘We almost disappointed the fans in Copenhagen last night, but God made it possible. There was only one flight from Germany to Copenhagen and the flight was canceled at the last hour of 6pm, there was no flight, no connection flight to a nearby country and also no train, not even a bus we had to beg an ordinary taxi driver who decided to embark on 9hrs drive to Copenhagen by road and guess what? we made it to the venue by 3am and got on stage by 3:15am’.

Davido performed at a music festival in Namibia last night and his security had to step in to protect him after his fans went agog.
Not only were some people thrown off stage, but other security officials had to quickly step in to protect the singer after he was pulled into the very excited crowd.
Davido reportedly lost his shoes in the process.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Shogunle threw up a challenge while sharing a video of a US police officer repeatedly punching a man on the face yesterday August 11th.
The ACP is of the stance that the Nigerian police do not punch their citizens – he asked for Nigerians to post videos of policemen punching any Nigerian and that he would give N25,000 each for all 4 videos.

A new photo shows the moment some members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who went on a picnic at a river in Mayo-Sebri village in Gashaka Local Government Council of Taraba state, took a selfie at the venue before drowning moments later.
Nine out of the 23 corps members, who went for a picnic on that fateful day lost their lives in the water – seven bodies were recovered the following day and two other bodies recovered few days after.
One of the survivors, a male corps member, narrated the tragedy and how he survived.
He wrote,
“We went for picnic, 23 of us. We went to a waterfall. That was the first place.
“After taking pictures, we went to another side where there are beautiful rocks with clean water flowing under them. The water was very low though. After taking pictures there, eating and drinking, we were about leaving when someone just shouted seeoooh.
“When we turned, we saw very dirty water coming with so much force and speed, the kind of speed I have never seen in my life, coming from a distance of about 100 metres. We were almost leaving the place but within seconds, the water got to our position. I don’t know how I jumped out.”
Meanwhile, Idris Musa, a resident of Mayo Selbe, disclosed that each year, one to two persons lose their lives in the river, giving rise to the nickname Kogin Mutuwa (Hausa for ‘River of Death’).
“The water rushes down with great force and speed once it rains up here,” he said, adding that numerous tragedies have been recorded over the years, but were unreported.
A lady has had to be hospitalized after she suffered an unfortunate mishap in the Nnewi area of Anambra state.
According to one Christabeler Akunna, she went to visit her friend when the accident happened which saw her injure badly after falling from a building.
It was revealed that the lady was chatting with her friend on the balcony of a two-storey building when she decided to rest on the rail not knowing it was not strong.
Immediately she leaned on it, she fell from the building and broke her body parts including femur, patellar Jaw, teeth and ankles.
She was then rushed to Nnewi Teaching Hospital where she received some treatment after she recovered from consciousness.
The lady who lost some tooth – ate liquid food for about four months and also went for local bone setting for five months but all to no avail.
Some Facebook users have reached out to the wounded lady in order to come to her aid.
A woman who went through more than a decade of worry and anxiety to conceive, has taken to social media to celebrate the birthday of her quadruplets who turned two recently.

Top Nigerian columnist, Femi Aribisala, has shared that God is responsible for all the evil that’s happening in the world – according to him, the devil is merely the servant of God.
In a new article he just released, he wrote:
“As a Christian, life becomes a lot easier once we take God at his word. Nevertheless, many find it difficult to do so. One area of great difficulty concerns the origin of evil.
Christians find it difficult to believe the God who is love is behind all the evil we see in this world? We would rather be diplomatic and attribute it all to the devil. However, the devil is merely the servant of God.
God says categorically he is the author of evil: “I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create evil; I, the Lord, do all these things.” (Isaiah 45:7).
Amos echoes this: “If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it? (Amos 3:6). Nothing good or bad happens outside of the will of God. The devil initiates nothing.
He only does what God permits. (Job 1:6-12). “Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come? (Lamentations 3:37-38).

Tiwa Savage has revealed that it hasn’t been so easy accepting her skin colour and she still has to remind herself sometimes that she is beautiful; and God doesn’t make mistakes.

American R&B diva, Ciara recently released a collaboration with the MMMG signed Tekno titled ‘Freak Me’ – upon the release of the song, a large number of fans were quick to point out the striking similarities between the new song and Tiwa Savage’s track.
Tiwa Savage who apparently got wind of the reports is vehemently angry about the situation.
Thenet.ng reports that they can exclusively confirm that neither Tekno nor Ciara obtained clearance or permission from Tiwa Savage before infringing on her copyright.
Meanwhile, Ciara had excitedly shared the artwork for the single, while Tekno refrained from doing so.
The reason behind his silence is said to be not be far fetched as an unnamed member of Tiwa Savage’s camp revealed that Tekno is someone Tiwa Savage considered a friendly colleague; not in the least because they both are Pepsi ambassadors and know each other well.

“We were surprised that they went that route. They didn’t even just sample some strings, the beat and lyrics of the hook are basically the same. Tiwa is extremely upset because it seems like a rip off of her sweat.”

The grieving mother of a baby who ‘died’ at seven months realized the baby was still alive at her
funeral.
Keilin Johanna Ortiz Montoya was declared dead by doctors at a hospital in Villanueva, Honduras, on August 6.
She had been admitted three days earlier with convulsions, diarrhea, severe hydration and blistered skin caused by a bacterial infection.
Despite intensive treatment at the hospital’s pediatric unit, the baby ‘died’ and and a death certificate was reportedly issued.
Her tiny body was released to devastated mum Ivis Montoya, who took her baby home in her arms for a candlelight vigil.
After the gathering, Keilin was taken to a church in nearby Dos Caminos for a funeral.
Ivis said her daughter’s body was placed on a chair in the church because “we had no money for a coffin”.
It was at this point the mother noticed her daughter was still breathing.
Reluctant to return to the hospital that had declared her baby dead, she rushed to a local clinic.
Here, medical staff administered the baby with some medicine and a woman’s support group persuaded her to take the baby back to the paediatric unit.
A fake herbalist and two account clerks of a feeds mill in Badagry, have been arrested by the Police for allegedly defrauding the company of N2.2 million.
The company’s account clerks who were shouldered with the responsibility of depositing cash sales into the bank, resorted to giving the money to the fake herbalist to prepare charms that would make them successful in their music careers.
A police official confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria in Badagry on condition of anonymity, said;
“When they approached the fake herbalist, he asked them to bring three million naira in order to help them achieve their goals.
“So, at the end of each day’s work, instead of taking daily sales to the bank, they decided to give the money to the fake herbalist.
“But, unfortunately for them, the company’s auditor detected the fraud, and they were arrested by the police in Badagry.
“They confessed that they gave the money to the herbalist who promised to assist them in their music carriers.”

The Kogi bye-election which was held today to fill the vacant Lokoja /Kogi seat in House of Representatives and while we await the result of the poll, it was gathered that 3 onions were shared to voters by politicians who sought place in the Federal constituency.

According to further reports from the News Agency of Nigeria , the election also saw two people killed for attempting to snatch ballot boxes.
Confirming the incident, spokesman of the state police command, DSP William Aya, told NAN’s correspondent that the number of people killed during the election is now two. According to him, the latest victim, identified as Yadau Umoru was killed at Ugwan Pawa polling unit, in front of Maigari palace while attempting to snatch a ballot box.
Though the corpse of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, it was also gathered that an unidentified man had earlier in the day been killed by a mob at the polling unit located by Abuja Electricity Distribution Company’s office in Lokoja, while also attempting to snatch a ballot box. Aya further added that the identity of the unfortunate man was unknown.
