I did not sacrifice my career for P-Square – Jude Okoye says

Jude Okoye says

Some days ago, former P-Square manager, Jude Okoye, revealed that his first nights in Lagos were spent under a bridge.

Giving further details to Sunday Scoop, Okoye said,

“I had my first album done in Jos in 1995 and all the friends around me told me that it was good and record labels would pay me good money for it. As a result of that, I took a flight of N2000 from Jos to Lagos in search of a record label that would pay me for the album. I went with two empty Ghana-must-go bags because I expected that they would pay me a lot of money.

Even though I didn’t know anybody there, I went to Ivory Music to see the talent manager. But when I got to the company, they told me that he was on leave and I would have to come back the next week. That’s when reality dawned on me because I hadn’t planned on how I was going to get back to Jos. From there, I went to the Ijora motor park hoping to take a bus back to Jos. On getting there, I found out that the bus fare was N600. I didn’t have that money so I ended up sleeping under the bridge. Being that my mother was a prophetess in Jos; once in a while, I ran into people who knew her and they gave me some money.

From there, I was able to get an attachment bus ticket, which meant I had to stand all through the trip from Lagos to Jos. After that experience, I still went back to Ivory Music two months after. It was then I met Zaaki Azzay and he shared his experience with me. The songs on my album were purely hip hop and he advised me to infuse some Nigerian flavour into it to make it more marketable.

When I eventually met the talent manager, a certain Mr. Morgan, he collected the tape and told me to come back in two weeks’ time. Meanwhile, I didn’t have a place to stay for that period so I had to squat at Bright Chimezie’s boys’ quarters with his friends at Ogba area of the state. When I went back to Mr. Morgan after two weeks, he didn’t recognise me. At that point, I was frustrated and I told them to give me back my tape. Still, I didn’t give up and I released my songs in Jos.

I became a local champion because the songs were popular then. From there, I decided that maybe a music career wasn’t meant for me and I focused on my kid brothers. Then, they were just dancers and weren’t known as P-Square. I wouldn’t say I sacrificed my career for them because it wasn’t working for me anyway.”

I’ve never dated anyone all my life, but i’m not a virgin – Actress Amara Maduka

Amara Maduka, is gradually becoming one of the most sought after in the movie industry.

In this interview, the Anambra State-born role interpreter speaks on her career, love life and challenges of being a plus-sized actress.

Can you briefly tell us about yourself?

I’m Amara Maduka, from Anambra State. I’m from a family of three. I’m the first daughter and second child. I’m an actor, writer and aspiring producer.

How long have you been acting?

I have been acting for five years now.

Can you mention some of the movies you have done?

I have featured in Maduka Daughters, Village Flavour, Okirika, The Israelite, Good Marriage, and Three Bad Girls, to mention a few.

How did you join the movie industry?

I joined the movie industry after leaving school. I knew I have the talent and I decided to pursue it.

What were the challenges you faced at the early stage?

My weight was a big challenge. I was very fat at the time and I didn’t get featured in roles I knew I could deliver, because all the producers saw was a fat, ugly girl. Not my talent.

How did you overcome it?

Oh well, when you get tired of being fed bullshit, you have to make a change at some point. All that matters is how you see yourself. I knew I am more than what they could see and that image alone kept me going.

Did it make you depressed?

I battled depression at some point. But like I said, if you know who you are, nothing can stop you. Not for too long.

Sexual harassment is a common trend in the industry, how did you scale through?
I haven’t been sexually harassed by any producer, I’m one of the lucky ones.

Did you hit the gym or work on your size to fit in?

I didn’t work on myself to ‘fit in’. I’m working on myself for me. I love to look good. And I’m only just getting started.

How supportive were your parents when you took the bold step to join Nollywood?

I have just my mom now. My dad wouldn’t have allowed it, but my mom is supportive.

You lost your dad?

Yeah in 2012.

Did your boyfriend at that time give you the go ahead?

I’ve never really dated anyone all my life. It’s funny but true. I’m just learning to truly give love a chance now.

Body shaming doesn’t affect me – Uriel Oputa declares

Uriel Oputa declares

Former Big Brother Nigeria contestant, Uriel Oputa, has said that the constant body shaming she gets from online trolls doesn’t affect her.

She told Sunday Scoop ;

“Body shaming does not affect me; I just move on. I feel people who do that are not confident in themselves. I feel those people are cowards who lack self-esteem. I have no plans to do a boob job.”

Speaking on her new talk show, Uriel Talks, she said;

“Uriel Talks is a talk show where I talk about issues that affect people. The last one I did was about whether it’s right to move in with your partner when you’re not married. These are things that happen every day so we’re just trying to analyse them.

It is an interactive show where people share different views and opinions. I talk a lot and I like to hear other people air their views as well. On the show, we talk about everything or anything. At the beginning of the show, I usually showcase a dish that I prepared beforehand. I have plans to take the show on TV but for now, it’s just on my Instagram page and YouTube.”

On if there are limits to the things that would be discussed on the show, Uriel said, “I won’t talk about religion. I also won’t really talk about sex because that’s not my brand; I won’t dabble into things like that. I will talk about relationships but not about sex point-blank.”

Married school teacher arrested after sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy

A married teacher was arrested for performing sexual act on her 14 year old student.

The teacher who admitted performing a sex act on a 14-year-old boy has avoided jail and will not be banned from the classroom.

29-year-old, Dori Myers had a sexual relationship with the boy in numerous locations while teaching social studies at The New School for Leadership and Arts in New York.

Meyers

She is married to a sheriff’s deputy, and has pleaded guilty to a criminal sex act but will not be stripped of her teaching licence.

Myers will have to sign the sex offenders register and has been given ten years of probation.

Manhattan Supreme Court heard she has been sacked from her job at the school in the Bronx after entering her plea.

Pleading with the judge not to ban her from the classroom, her lawyer Andrew Stoll said: “There is a possibility that she could teach adults now or in the future and we want to preserve that possibility.

“She still is a talented teacher and has those skills, and I don’t see any reason to destroy her ability to make a living and to contribute to society in a positive way.”

Myers was arrested in January after the victim confided in a classmate about their relationship.

Timaya Offered Me His House When I Was Homeless – Skales

Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, in an interview with ADENIYI ADEWOYIN, speaks about how he became homeless after leaving Banky W’s E.M.E records and how Timaya and Olamide delivered him from homelessness.

Read excerpt from the interview ;

YOU just released your third studio album, can you tell us about the album?

It’s all about love. People who have known me know that what has really kept me going is love and the love that I get from the people, from the media, my fans and people that I don’t even know. So, that’s just why I just call myself Mr Love. The fact is that I am one of those people that believe in love. I hardy fight. Recently, my brother Wizkid and I just linked up and that is a perfect story.

People did not know we have been talking after what happened five years ago. It is just that we have not made it public. That day, we were so happy about our achievements and how far we have come. We were so excited and the next morning when I woke up I saw Wiz tweeting about me because we had balled a night before.

So, the whole inspiration is just love. Love has kept me going. I bring myself down to everyone. I would not want to blow my trumpet but I help people who come to me for help. The name Mr Love started up with my friends. I don’t know if you have seen the album’s cover. It has my mum’s picture and mine on it. The album is dedicated to my mum, because I don’t know how to explain true love than mothers’ love. She helped me a lot and that was the whole inspiration.

You said the album is dedicated to your mum. Why was she not present at the listening?

She can’t fly for now for health reasons because she lives in Kaduna. My mum has stroke but she is recovering. I can’t do some certain things till she gets better. Of course, I have her full blessings. I just shot a video and she was in the video and the song is the first track on my album called ‘Good Life’ and it’s all about my mum. She’s the vixen in the video.

You are speaking so much about your mum, what about your dad?

I feel like mothers do most of the works and it’s not like the fathers don’t work but you know how it is. Even the fathers appreciate the mums because the mothers make the job easier, because they are always there for the kids. But, at the same time, there are other fathers that also do as much as the mothers. For me, my mum was like the only person that raised me. My parents separated when I was very young.

That’s why I am all about my mum. She basically suffered for my sake to make sure that I have a good life and that’s why I even have the first track named ‘Good Life.’ I am inspired because of my mum. I am motivated because of my her.

You once revealed that Olamide paid for your hit single ‘Shake Body’ video…

Yes, after E.M.E I was a broke boy, I was homeless, sleeping from one studio to the other but I had a car. I wasn’t a friend of Olamide but he just liked me since when I was in E.M.E. I never told anybody that I didn’t have anywhere to stay.

One day I went to Timaya’s house and it got late at night. I didn’t have anywhere to go. I was sleeping in the car outside Timaya’s house and the gateman told him “Skales is outside sleeping in the car.” Timaya came and asked me what’s going on? He looked at the back of the car and saw my bags which means practically I was living in a mobile house. Timaya asked me to move into his house and gave me his pent house which was really big. And that was where I recorded ‘Shake Body.’ When I released ‘Shake Body,’ I didn’t have money for promo. I just had one manager (Osagie) that believed in me. The song was everywhere but I didn’t have money to shoot the video and I wasn’t getting shows. People didn’t really know it was me that sang the song.

One day, Olamide found out it was me who sang the song and asked where I was and we spoke at length. He asked what was going on with me and why I hadn’t shot the video and I told him I didn’t have money. He said I should send him my account number which I did and like five minutes later, I got an alert. And that’s how it happened. When I tweeted it, he wasn’t happy with me because he begged me not to ever tell anybody about it. But I wanted to just tell the world how good of a guy he is and big shout out to Davido also. He was always checking up on me. There are lots of people who were checking up on me. The list is endless.

What other things are you working on?

People don’t know I have my own music company that I opened before I got signed to Baseline called OK Entertainment. It’s been on a low for a while but we’ve been releasing songs off it. As a matter of fact, Paul Pogba just danced to one of the songs from the label. For now, I won’t say we have many artistes because I am still signed to Baseline that I am very loyal to because they are the reason why I am here right now. They practically helped me be who I am right now. I will be launching my EP maybe months after I drop my third studio album.

How necessary is it for artistes to own a record label?

If you know me well, you will know that I am a businessman. Apart from the music business, I am also an entrepreneur. I do other things I don’t want to discuss in public. It’s not necessary but I feel like a lot of artistes would rather open their record label so that they can be in charge because they don’t want to be controlled. But the good thing for me is that I was lucky to be signed to a record label that gives me the opportunity to do what I want to do as long as it is fruitful and beneficial to the record label.

Baseline is getting all the hype now but you became popular under EME records. What happened at EME?

Of course, everyone knows EME was a big success story. Big shout out to Banky W. He kind of opened everybody’s eyes to know that you can sign teenagers and make them superstars. They signed me at the age of 16 when all I knew was to just make music. During my stay there, Banky also taught us about the music business. He didn’t hide anything from us. He taught us how to make money from music and you can tell by the success of Wizkid and I that we had a very good mentor.

How has life as an entertainer been?

Honestly, I am used to it because I have been signed since I was 16 years old. Everybody knows the Skales’ story has been told over and over again. I have been through a lot of backlashes but it’s all love, most especially from the media. They’ve shown me so much love and support regardless. My main goal is to touch somebody’s life with my story. I came from a very poor home but now look at my life. I can afford to buy a Range Rover, I can afford to buy a car and dash somebody, I can afford to do a lot of thing and sometimes I am still shocked how I got here. I am just 27years old and I have travelled to a lot of countries and have worked with lots of top artistes I never believed I would work with.

Man Kills Girlfriend After Finding Condoms In Her Handbag

A Nigerian man, Osaremwinda Iduwanyi who allegedly killed a mother of three, Gladys Okoh for alleged infidelity has given the main reason why he killed her.

The deceased before her death was a divorcee. Iduwanyi confessed that he killed the woman after finding condoms in her handbag.

He made the confession while being paraded by the Commissioner of Police in Edo state, Kokumo Johnson. The police commissioner said Iduwanyi stabbed his victim severally “on the stomach, back-side, ribs and private part with a knife. The suspect accused the victim of infidelity having discovered condoms in her handbag”

According to Iduwanyi, “What happened was a mistake, I never did it intentionally. We were living together with a promise to get married.

We were serious in the relationship. I had earlier warned her to desist from receiving phone calls from his male friends and she promised to stop it. One day she said I should give her money to start business and I had to sell my car for N250, 000 and gave her N150, 000. She travelled to Lagos and used the money to and buy personal clothes and the next day I reported the matter to the brother that I had to sell my car because of her and now she used the money to buy clothes for her personal use.

“On the day that I killed her, I saw her with my mother quarrelling accusing my mother of gossiping about her which my mother denied. She immediately went into the house and parked her things that she was leaving. I had to allow her go but the next morning I went to her and begged her to stay. She pushed me away that I should go and meet my mother. She said my mother was responsible for my frustration.

I saw her getting dressed preparing to leave and when I pleaded that she should stay she pushed me away and we started fighting. There was a knife very close to her which she picked up and wanted to stab me but I collected it from her and stabbed her in her abdomen several times. I ran away by jumping through the fence. I also found condoms with her on several occasions.

My wife and two children were in Italy. I came to Benin because of my father’s burial . I pray to God to forgive me. It was not intentional.”

God will never forgive me if I support Atiku for president – Obasanjo declares

Obasanjo declares

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo earlier today said that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar should not count on him for support in his latest bid to become the president of Nigeria.

According to a report by Premium Times, Obasanjo hinged his blistering position on the unsavoury corruption perception of Mr Atiku.

“How can I be on the same side with Atiku?” Mr Obasanjo asked. “To do what?”

“If I support Atiku for anything, God will not forgive me. If I do not know, yes. But once I know, Atiku can never enjoy my support. I do not have personal grudges with anyone. If you do not do well for Nigeria, you do not do well for all of us.”

It is not a question of working with or not working with an individual. If you are working for the good of Nigeria, I am working with you. If you are not working for the good of Nigeria it does not matter who you are I am not working with you.

Most of you do not understand the way I operate. I know Atiku very well. And I have mentioned my position with Atiku. My position has not changed,” he said.

On a personal note, he added ;

“If my children are getting married, he has sent representatives. If his children are getting married, I have sent representatives. That is social. That is not political.

But “on political ground, my position has not changed. If I support Atiku for a political office other than the one I supported him in the past when I did not know him,” maybe, but not “now that I know him, God will not forgive me.”

I have been paid my salary now – Waje’s ex-PA Yvonne Imongan says

Guns were blazing yesterday, as hot beans were spilled and the cat found its way out of the bag as Yvonne Imongan, a former Personal Assistant to Nigerian Singer, Waje, revealed that she almost lost her life working for Waje due to unpaid salaries and other Shenanigans.

However, Yvonne today confirmed that she has gotten paid.

The ex personal assistant made this known via a post on IG that she got paid last night, this came after she had called out the singer.

She shared a photo which had these words ;

Thanks to everyone who took out time to tag and comment both positively and negatively I have been paid!!! God Bless you all

In case you missed it, peep the words Yvonne had written in an effort to call out the renowned singer ;

“I have worked with her for a month. Today makes it a month I started working with her. When I got the job, initially she told me I was on probation, but she didn’t tell me I wasn’t going to be paid.

She told me I was going to have 50,000 for my first payment and after six months, she was going to increase my salary. I started working with her and in between fell sick.

I normally had ulcer. Working with there was very stressful but I didn’t complain about the stress, because it was my first time working as personal assistant. When I started the job, I feel sick and had internal bleeding because of the Ulcer. She ordered for me to be taken to the hospital but there was no support.

I kept mute about it. My friends encouraged me to quit my job but I didn’t listen and kept working. Before that, I wasn’t aware that I was going to write an exam, because I am a graduate. I got the information from my parents, telling me I was going to write an international exam.

I begged for the date to be shifted because I need to work, and it being my first month, I was expected to be active. It was then shifted. I asked her for a couple of days off for the exam but she replied no, adding that she couldn’t compromise. She also asked me if it was convenient for me.

I told her that presently it wasn’t convenient because I had a lot of things to do, but I wasn’t quiting my job. I wanted to be able to study and work, because I worked through all the busy schedules. She told me to go home, but I didn’t go home immediately because I was confused.

When I eventually got home, I sent her a message asking her if I would get paid for the work I had done and she said “no, my dear”, because I was on probation.”

Comedian Edo Charles discovers he has a daughter 18 Years after her birth

Edo Charles discovers

Popular gospel comedian cum actor, Edo Charles is yet to come off the shock that besieged him weeks ago, after an 18 year old girl walked into his lonely life.

Charles who suffered setback in 2014 after his marriage crashed barely one year it was contracted never had an inkling that he had fathered a beautiful baby girl during the days of his youth.
The excited father shares his joy with Inside Nollywood.

‘I thank God for my life. I’m a testimony. As a young boy who lived a reckless life, little did I know that I did something. 18 years after, the child I never knew existed came into my life. Just like that. I’m now a proud father to a teenager and a lovely and talented one at that. This is beautiful.
As I was working in God’s vineyard, he was working in mine too. Few days ago, I had to take her to my family house in Benin for her naming ceremony,” he gushed.

“Yoruba jollof rice is strictly for the strong mind, tummy and nyash” – Man says

Sequel to the recent post by Olumide Glowville as regards Yoruba Jollof rice being better than Igbo Jollof rice, a man identified as Kanife Kanamuo has replied with a counter statement.

According to him, yoruba jollof rice is strictly for the strong mind, tummy and nyash.

Read full post below:

The kinds of Yoruba jollof rice are:

RICE ALATA (Pepper Rice)

This one is the alpha and omega of Yoruba jollof. The beginning and the end. The grandfather of every other kind because pepper is the grandad of every other ingredients inside Yoruba rice. A Yoruba woman will pack all the pepper in Mile 12 market inside one pot of rice. Shombo, ata gbigbe, ata rodo, tatashe, Cameroon pepper, yellow pepper, you name it and you’ll find it inside rice alata. Perceiving the rice alata alone can give you piles talk less of actually chopping it. Please don’t try this at home.

RICE ELEPO: (palm oil rice)

Yoruba people are not called ndi ofe mmanu for nothing. They are the kings of the palm oil. Jaja of Opobo got into trouble with the colonial masters for not selling palm oil to them. What they forgot to tell you was ‘why’ he couldn’t sell palm oil to them. The Yoruba people were buying more and more palm oil and demand was quickly outweighing supply. The Yoruba people and their insatiable thirst for palm oil got Jaja arrested and sent to exile. Yoruba cookery got Jaja of Opobo killed. This in a nutshell tells you the importance of palm oil in Yoruba cuisine especially jollof.

RICE ONI COLOUR (Colour rice)

You’d think all that redness of palm oil is all Yoruba people need to at least give their jollof that redness that makes it jollof but you’re fantastically mistaken. The importance of redness of jollof can’t be overemphasized for the Yoruba because, let’s face it, that’s the only thing that can actually give their jollof it’s jollofness. It’s their jollof credibility. No red is too red. So they garnish their jollof with an extra dash of redness from colour. Quite frankly, I don’t know where they get that colour from.

RICE ONI SUGAR(Sugar rice)

The natural sweetness of food is never enough for the Yoruba. So they enhance food sweetness with the most common and most affordable sweetener known to man. Sugar. Inside yam, sugar. Plantain, sugar. Potato, sugar. Sweet potato, sugar. Beans, sugar. Soup, sugar. Make eba, sugar. Make amala, sugar. Fry egg, sugar. So why won’t they add a bag of sugar inside a pot of rice? I mean, jollof rice dat is not sweet, is da wan jollof?

RICE ONI AJINOMOTO

You’d think after all the above the rice will finally be ready but you’re missing something. Ajinomoto. That’s the seasoning of the Yoruba people. Ajinomoto that people use as bleach to wash cloth, you’d find it inside Yoruba rice. Yet they will be asking themselves why after all the palm oil they splashed inside their rice and the redness of colour to go with it, why is the rice still as white as harmattan? Answer is very simple: Ajinomoto don bleach all the redness troway.

Yoruba jollof rice is ready. Strictly for the strong of mind, tummy and nyash.

“Oshiomhole is uglier than a baboon. He looks like a product between an Orangutan and a Gorilla” – Femi-Fani Kayode trolls Oshiomhole

Femi Fani-Kayode has taken to his social media page to troll the heck out of the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

According to him, Oshiomole is uglier than a baboon and looks like a product between an Orangutan and a Gorilla.

See his tweet below:

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, on Wednesday opined that it was “all over” for President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain said he hoped both Buhari and Oshiomhole don’t suffer “heart attacks” as a result of the massive defection.

Fani-Kayode said this while reacting to the latest defection that hit the APC.

The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Hafiz Abubakar was reported to have defected from the APC.

Reacting, Fani-Kayode in a tweet wrote: “Congrats to Dep.Governor Hafiz Abubakar of Kano for dumping the Association of Pedophiles and Coprophiliacs (APC) and joining the resistance and the forces of liberation and freedom.Let us hope that by the time all this is all over Buhari and Oshiomole do not have heart attacks.”

Skales calls out ACP Yomi Shogunle, calls him a bad person, says he should be fired

Nigerian singer, Skales has called out Assistant Commissioner of Police, Yomi Shogunle.

He said Yomi Shogunle should be fired from the Police Force and never tweet again.

He said this in a recent interview with TVC where he came hard on ACP Yomi Shogunle, over his views and comments on the #ENDSARS campaign.

Skales while reacting to the recent tweet by Shogunle which sought for 186 million retweets to support the #endsars campaign, said;

“I am going to say it anywhere. I am not scared of anybody. This is a democracy and if they are going to do me anything, then this is not democarcy. Yomi Shogunle is an embarrassment to the police. He is a big embarrassment to the police. He should be fired and never tweet again.

How can you ask for 186 million retweets to end SARS. That is a disgrace to the police. Yomi Shogunle, if you are watching me, you are a bad person.”

Nigerian singer, Pepenazi reveals he has a huge crush on Di’ja

Nigerian singer Pepenazi, has opened up in a new interview on his career, lovers in his life and growing up.

He also revealed he has a huge crush on former Mavin singer Di’ja. He also talked on the new projects he is working on.

Excerpts from the interview below:

Why Did You Choose Music?

This might sound like a cliche but I guess music chose me. Music has always been a part of me from childhood. My dad was and still is a lover of music so I was exposed to a lot of music consciously and unconsciously when I was little. My dad used to listen to a lot of Ebenezer Obey, king Sunny Ade, Bob Marley and the likes. Music played nonstop on weekends while I did my house chores so I learnt to love it and it became a part of me. Also we had one of the biggest new school artistes of that time (junior & pretty) staying just a street away from my home. That further inspired me to choose music.

Were Your Parents In Support When You Decided To Pursue A Career In Music?

Things may have changed now but Nigerian parents back then wouldn’t readily support music because they thought it was just for show and that one couldn’t make a career and a living off of it so at first it was difficult but as time went on i got the full support of my parents and today the music we thank God the music is profitable.

Aside From Singing, What Is Pepenazi’s Other Talent?

Ahh!!! Pepenazi is multi-talented oo lol. Well asides music I do a lot of poetry/spoken word, I’m a great dancer when I choose to and when I play football you can’t get behind me when I’m in defence.

Tell Us About Your Background and Journey To Stardom.

I come from a very humble background. I like to think I grew up with the best family anyone can ask for. A stern but loving dad and a totally amazing mum who’d go out of her way to make sure her kids are happy and achieve their dreams. I’m from Ondo state, went to Mayflower secondary school ikenna and a graduate of Estate Management from Federal University of Technology Akure (Futa). My music journey has not been entirely smooth, I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs. Facing a lot of challenges from funding, to booking studio sessions, finding it hard to work with the right producers and promoting my craft. Hard work, perseverance and tenacity is what has kept me going right from when I dropped my first single up until date. God has also positioned a lot of people to be of massive support to me on my way up like the likes of Do2dtun of Cool Fm, Olamide baddo and so many others I can’t even mention here of which I’m very grateful for.

What Would You Like To Change At This Point In Your Career?

Like great Economists say “The human want is insatiable” so people always tend to want more no matter how high or how far they reach. I’m not where I want to but I’m definitely not where I used to so I’m grateful and I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m just focused on living my best life and affecting positively the lives of those around me and impacting lives positively with my music.

How Many Songs Do You Write In A Week?

Well there’s no way I can put a number to that. There are days I write more than 3 songs a day, other days I might hit a brick wall and just be blank. It really has to do with inspiration and how I’m feeling at the time. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night to record a melody that comes to head. So I just write as it comes, no pressure.

Are Your Songs From Personal Experience or Your Imagination?

Some from experience, some from imagination. Just like literature not all stories are based on reality but it doesn’t deter the fact that they are great stories.

Are You Still In A Relationship With Your Girlfriend From The Days In FUTA?

Yes ooo lol. We’re still going strong. I’ve loved music from my FUTA days and we’re gonna be together forever.

Last Year, You disclosed That You Were Working On ‘One’ Relationship – When Are You Getting Married?

All things will fall in place when the time is right.

Tell Us Your Most Embarrassing Fan Moment.

I’ve had a lot of those moments but I think the one that comes to mind now is a show I went to at the University of Lagos (unilag). I was performing on stage and a fan took one leg of my shoe while I was still performing so I had to finish my performance with only one shoe on my feet. I gave him the other leg when I was done though, it’s all love lol.

Tell Us Your Celebrity Crush and Why

DI’JA. There’s something transparent about her personality apart from the music which is quite enticing. She’s super-real and her Afro-urban fashion statements sweeps me off.

Which Artistes Are You Looking Forward To Work With

Right now am quite eager to work with “FEMI-KUTI” afrobeat is world-music right now and it would be of great delight to have a feel of his spiritual added to my archives. I literally have most of the Nigerian top guns in my forthcoming album so would need to spread tentacles ‘would also love to do something with South African emerging female artist ‘Shekhinah’ she’s simply amazing. Sauti soul would be my last shot.

Your Best Song So Far?

All my songs are very special to me because they were practically the best expression of message I felt as at the time of recording & release. This is a spot on question but just because I have to chose one I would go with [ASE] FT TIWA SAVAGE which simply means [Amen] in English translation. Why? Cuz it’s a song that shares deep reflection of my beginning my struggle hard work and reward and at the end every man hustle needs a prayer but what’s most important is an “AMEN” to crown it all.

Why Is It Taking So Long To Release Your Debut Album

For everything I do, I make sure it’s organically coordinated and grown. An album is a collective effort of one’s content and talent which has to be well prepared ‘convincing enough to worth the mind and penny expended on it by fans and any passerby newly introduced to my sound. My album is 90% ready trust me And am sure when it drops it sure would be worth the wait.

What Are The Projects Pepenazi Is Currently Working On, And What Should The Fans Expect Before 2018 Ends

Just rounded up my “UK TOUR” and it was worth every day spent, just rounded an African project with “BBC WORLD SERVICE” that should be out in a bit. Am also looking forward to my debut album dropping September 2018. I just recently shot a video in London for my new coming up single that should be looked forward to.

Will You Vote Buhari In the 2019 Elections and Why?

I don’t think that’s a good decision for any Nigerian, neither am i a fan of the old generation set of rulers who are still in our faces & extremely power hungry. We need young minds productive /unbiased set of rulers who are ready to take the country forward “it’s a crazy world we living in right now that needs deliverance ” I look forward to everyone getting their Pvc’s so at least that gives you a voice.

“I Feel Bad For Men Who Have never experienced relationships with Foreign Ladies” – Nigerian Man says

It has been a topic for debate most times ; Are Non-Nigerian Ladies better than our Nigerian Beauties when it comes to dating/relationship ?

In that same vein, a Nigerian man has taken to his Instagram page to blast Nigerian ladies who are entitled narcissist, feels money and gifts are her rights even when she does absolutely nothing.

Read what he wrote below;

“I honestly feel bad for Nigerian men who have never experienced relationships with non-Nigerian ladies and I’m not talking about overseas.

Even Ghanaian or Kenyan women. The AVERAGE Nigerian woman is a self entitled narcissist, who feels money and gifts are her rights even when she does absolutely nothing for you, not even hold a good conversation either in person or via text, typing like someone with epileptic seizures with the annoying abbreviations.

The average Nigerian woman will go on a date with every Tom, dick, Harry and all his uncles just for a chance to get a free meal and movie tickets. The average Nigerian woman sees spending her money on dates as a Taboo, but is quick to talk trash about having “vex money”, lol nobody cares about your vex money, come with actual spending money.

In conclusion the average Nigerian woman is a pest with nothing to offer but headache and hassles. Thank you for reading. God bless”

I am richer than Dangote – Oluwo of Iwo land says

Richer than Dangote

The Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi has declared that his assets and it includes one of Africa’s billionaires, Aliko Dangote.

His Imperial Majesty, Telu 1 took to Instagram to share a reminder that no one is richer than the king, even the richest of his children.

Speaking in proverbs, Oba Akanbi wrote, “You are all part of my assets. If the richest one is my child. Whose asset is he carrying? Even, Dangote is my asset, I am richer than him. ”

The monarch, however, reiterates that it is a curse for him to claim to be more than his children so in that regard, he prays that all his subjects are wiser and more successful than him.

Read his full message:

MY ASSET -OLUWO

Unlike the Yoruba adage “Erin ki fon, ki omo re tun fon”. (Asipa owe ni) As required of a responsible, passionate and compassionate father for his subjects, i pray that, they(subjects) should be greater than me. The strength of my asset is measured by the greatness of my children. kings are fathers to all, of which their greatness is my glory.

I want to tell you that no one is richer than the king. You are all part of my assets. If the richest one is my child. Whose asset is he carrying? Even, Dangote is my asset, I am richer than him.

It is a generational curse for me to claim I am wiser than my children in the 21st century. I am wiser than my father and my children will be wiser than me. Solomon never saw airplane, I saw it. My children may grow to use flying vehicles.

And all things of today will be outdated one day. That is life. I pray all my subjects should be wiser and successful than me.

OLUWO OF IWOLAND, HIM OBA (DR.) ABDULROSHEED ADEWALE AKANBI, ALASE LORI ORISA, AROLE ELEDUMARE. TELU I
