You know how people just go on to social media to make interesting theses about certain issues in life – some of these people usually make sense, while some others… well… don’t make an atom of sense!

A Twitter user thought it wise to take her thesis to Twitter – a social media community that has the savagest of users – and got a response that’ll leave you in stitches.

According to Iwalewa,

Being broke ends at 25. After 25 you’re no longer broke; you’re poor!

Quite an interesting notion but seems to lack wisdom in each letter written – a user made sure to let her in on the lack of wisdom in her tweet as he replied as thus,

So is being childish and making childish tweets like this. After 25, you’re no longer childish, you’re stupid.

Nigerian lady in dilemma after her boyfriend requests N200k from her first salary

A Nigerian lady has been left in a quite confusing situation after her boyfriend has asked her to borrow her more than the percentage she would have given as tithes of her ‘first fruit’.

So this lady just received her first salary of quarter of a million Naira and her supposed boyfriend asked that she lend him N200k out of it.

The lady is in a dilemma currently as her sister reveals that she’s at cross roads whether it’s a test for her or she should dump him.

Her sister, Temitope, who shared her story on Twitter wrote that she hasn’t even informed her parents and she’s been hit with this decision on what to do.

Lagos State governor, Akinwumi Ambode rescues 50 Nigerian football fans stranded in Russia

Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has rescued 50 Nigerian football fans, who were stranded in Moscow, Russia at the just concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Before Ambode’s intervention, officials of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) were aware that over 50 Nigerians were stranded, but could not come to their assistance.

An eyewitness, Nnamdi Odimegwu shared this in a social media post noting that over 50 Nigerians found it difficult returning home because they did not have return air tickets.

Odimegwu, however, said succour came their way when Ambode, who is a member of the federal government delegation to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, met them at the airport.

According to him, this is not a political campaign for him, but just appreciating a good and kind gesture by one of our noble Politicians in Nigeria.

“I had a pick-up arrangement today at the airport in Moscow and had a rare privilege of meeting the Governor of Lagos State, the most populous and commercial Hub of Nigeria. “I quickly introduced myself while I waited for my pick-up arrangement to come out.

We had a small chat and exchanged knowledge and wisdom while I waited. “He bade me farewell as his pick-up arrangement had arrived. After a few minutes, my pick-up arrived as well. So, we set out to the car park. As soon as we came out of the airport, I saw a crowd of over 50 Nigerians who had been stranded at the airport for between 10 and 15 days now.

In their middle was this same man, Ambode. As soon as he sighted me, he quickly called my attention to assist. It was a pathetic state and a lot of words both pleasant and unpleasant were being exchanged. “Then, Ambode did something that amazed me.

He showed solidarity and quickly pledged to send all 50 stranded Nigerians home and assigned me to oversee the transfers and procurement of new tickets to send them home.” He confirmed that 19 out of this 50 “are already on air to Lagos Nigeria. The remaining 31 are leaving this evening. Ambode also fed them all as he gave them cash to eat while they waited for their tickets to fly home.

England striker Harry Kane has won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup after finishing the tournament with the highest number of goals.

The Tottenham Hotspur marksman scored six times in Russia, two ahead of a five-man chasing pack come the end of Sunday’s final between France and Croatia.

Les Bleus duo Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe struck in their country’s 4-2 win over the Vatreni, which put both players on four goals apiece.

Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Russia winger Denis Cheryshev also scored four times, leaving Kane top of the pile come the tournament’s conclusion.

Three of Kane’s strikes came in the 6-1 win over Panama, two were scored in the 2-1 defeat of Tunisia, and the sole goal outside of the Group G games was a penalty against Colombia.

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has declared that what transpired during the Ekiti Governorship Election yesterday July 14th, is the worst political robbery in the nation’s democratic history.

Governor Wike stated the APC Federal Government will not be able to replicate the Ekiti Political Robbery in Rivers State because Rivers people are fully prepared.

Governor Wike said this when he spoke today July 15th at the Anglican Cathedral Church of Saint Paul, Port Harcourt during the Thanksgiving Service to mark the end of Third Year Anniversary Celebration of his administration.

“Don’t be worried about what happened in Ekiti State. We are prepared. It will not happen here in Rivers State. I have never experienced that kind of robbery in politics. I told my colleagues, do not give them any chance. Most of them in APC are happy that they will repeat the same thing in Rivers State. We are waiting, come and repeat. Let your spirit not be down, work hard and victory will be ours” he said

On the Thanksgiving, Governor Wike said that the State Government has come before God to appreciate him for a hitch-free programme, which spread across two months.

He said that the third year anniversary of his administration offered Rivers people the opportunity to witness the superlative performance over the period under the review.

“We made sure that people who have eyes see what we have done for the state. Except those who are blind, for which there is nothing we can do about it. We will continue to do the best for the people of Rivers State. The people deserve the best. This one year we will not stop doing projects, irrespective of the elections ” he said

Governor Wike urged the people of Rivers State to continue to support his administration.

France wins Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Tournament

It sure was an exciting FIFA World cup tournament and after a month since it began, it finally has met its end, with Western European country, France emerging as the winner of the tournament.

France went head on with fellow European country, Croatia who fought their way through from the group stage to the finals and ended the game in a 4-2 win against Croatia.

France had an early lead at the 18th minute of the game, when Mandzukic made an own goal and then Croatia made sure to equalize ten minutes later.

A tough France were awarded a penalty which was taken by Antoine Griezmann at the 39th minute which put them on the lead again, till the end of the first half – France put on quite a show at the finals when they put the ball at the back of the net yet again at the 65th minute, giving them a 4-1 lead.

As Croatia struggled to make a comeback at very little time, they scored a goal at the 69th minute, making the game at 4-2 and though they put in their best to equalize the game, their efforts proved futile leaving France to emerge as the champions of the 2018 FIFA world cup tournament.

It’s been precisely 20 years since the country won the FIFA World Cup as they were the champions of the 1998 World Cup tournament which was hosted by them in the year.

Winning the 2018 World Cup now moves them to the league of countries like Uruguay and Argentina, who have won the title twice.

Super Eagles player, Shehu Abdullahi has reportedly battered his wife, Sumayya Mustapha, for not receiving her call in his presence.

According to Instablog9ja the incident happened, last night, at the couple’s residence in Sokoto.

It was gathered that the mother of one was on the phone with someone and cut the call when Shehu came into her room.

However, when the phone rang again, she refused to pick it because the husband was always eavesdropping on her phone calls with friends and family.

She claimed that, at times, Shehu would hide to record her conversations.

She also revealed that he is fond of accessing her phone while asleep to read her chats and take pictures of her chats.

She had enough yesterday and refused to pick her call in his presence, despite his insistence.

Angered by her refusal, he descended on her, leaving her with a bloodied eye.

Shehu Abdullahi was part of the Super Eagles team that crashed out in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup and currently plays for Turkish side Bursaspor.

In July 2014, Abdullahi moved from Kano Pillars to Kuwait Premier League side Qadsia SC in a deal worth $480,000, of which Abdullahi received $330,000 and Kano Pillars $150,000.

The ‘Ebeano’ singer has been nominated in the ‘best male artist’ and ‘best international male artist’ categories for IARA 2018.

The nods will be the first for Mr P since his split from Psquare — the duo made up of himself and his twin brother, Paul.

Kemi Adeosun, Nigeria’s embattled Minister of Finance, has been elected Chairperson of the Board of the African Export-Import Bank.

Her new appointment comes amid a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate scandal.

Adeosun was elected during the Annual General Meeting of AFREXIMBANK in Abuja.

The bank, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, has been meeting in Abuja.

“Mrs. Adeosun was elected Chairman of the Annual general meeting of Shareholders of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) during the meeting held at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja on 14 July 2018.

“She will serve as Chairman until the next Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2019,” Obi Emekekwue, Director & Global Head, Communications and Events Management Department told DAILY POST in an email.

 

Two women slam Banky W for driving an expired Range Rover SUV (Video)

In a video that has emerged online, Banky W is shopping for groceries at a mall and then took his purchases to his car after he was done.

On sighting his car which is a Range Rover SUV,two ladies whose face did not show started commenting on the car.

The ladies slammed Banky and Adesua for driving such a car saying it is expired and that he couldn’t even customise it.

Their comments visibly irritated Don Jazzy and he took to the comment section of the post shared on IB9ja to slam the ladies.

He wrote: “Disgusting shallow minded good for nothing people that will never succeed in life. No be curse but f that’s how they think then I’m really sorry for them.”

The Ekiti State Gubernatorial elections might have come and gone, but it will go down in history as one of the most talked about Governorship-polls in the country for a long time.

While the APC candidate, Fayemi emerged victorious, amid reports that both parties wooed voters with cash, the fact is Ayo Fayose will handover to Fayemi soon and the immunity that protects leaders in the country will no longer be enjoyed by Ayo Fayose, and as such he is liable to be investigated for corrupt charges amongst others.

That being said, EFCC took to it’s twitter page to announce that the commission would indeed see someone soon, their deleted tweet read ;

Pastor Chris Okotie asks PDP, APC to adopt him as presidential candidate

Household of God Pastor, Christopher Oghenebrorie Okotie has called on two of Nigeria’s leading political parties APC and PDP to adopt him as their presidential candidate.

According to a report by TheNation, the cleric spoke at a press conference in his church during the Sunday service today saying the dreams and aspirations of the people having been confined to oblivion and he believes that we must act now to defend the Nigerian dream as things have gone to a worse state.

He said that he has decided to return to politics seeing that Nigeria needs a credible personality one who is intellectually ready and capable. He added that the Nigerian constitution is obsolete and therefore desires to pursue a mandate that will set up a new government of reconciliation.

“In sincere consideration I humbly and sincerely ask that the APC adopt me as the presidential candidate. I have extended the same gesture to the APC too. This is the time to demonstrate our love for this country.” Pastor Chris Okotie said that this is not out of his will but that of the Lord.

Pastor Chris Okotie first came into politics in 2003 under the Justice Party(JP) where he contested for the position of the President but lost to Olusegun Obansanjo. He again vied for the same position in 2007 under the party he founded, Fresh Democratic Party (FRESH), but lost to Umaru Yar’Adua. Pastor Chris Okotie, not deterred again ran for the presidential seat in 2011 and lost to Goodluck Jonathan.

Ekiti Election: Tragedy As Pastor Accidentally knocks down boy celebrating APC’s Ekiti victory

A pastor has accidentally driven straight into a jubilating crowd in Kayode Fayemi’s hometown in Ekiti state.

According to a Premium Times report, a mid-size wagon ran into an ecstatic crowd welcoming the victory of Kayode Fayemi on Sunday morning, hitting a seven-year-old boy and leaving him ghastly wounded.

Medical personnel were not optimistic about the boy’s high chances of recovery, only urging his family and relatives to be fervent in their prayers.

Witnesses immediately identified the driver to Premium Times as a preacher with Living Faith Church (a.k.a.: Winners’ Chapel). The man was on his way to Sunday service when the accident occurred about 8:26 a.m.

Imole Afolabi was rushed to Heirs Hospital in downtown Oye, and medical personnel immediately shut the entrance to prevent overcrowding and any distraction that could come with it while administering emergency treatment.

Funmilola Afolabi, the boy’s mother, told Premium Times they joined residents who trooped out to celebrate Mr Fayemi’s victory at Ilupeju Junction, Oye, shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared the All Progressives Congress’ candidate winner of the Saturday election.

Mrs Afolabi, who became instantly downcast in a campaign vest distributed by the APC, said the hospital officials asked her to hold strongly onto her faith.

The pastor, who identified himself to Premium Times only as Festus, said he was not speeding beyond approved limit for the zone before the accident. He also insisted that he held the brakes of his 1970s model Peugeot 504, but regretted that the boy was still seriously injured.

“We are placing all our hope in God,” he said.

Witnesses at the scene said the pastor was not at top speed or reckless prior to the crash.

Hospital officials were unable to interact with Premium Times, with the senior doctor on duty saying it was difficult to speak on the boy’s status as at 9:06 a.m.

A spokesperson for the police in the state could not be reached for comments Sunday morning.

Mr Fayemi, who hailed from Oye Local Government Area, was declared winner of Saturday’s governorship election around 8:00 a.m., coasting home to victory against Kolapo Eleka.

Mr Eleka, the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party known more for his association with incumbent Ayodele Fayose than his own candidature, managed to win only four out of 16 local governments, losing to Mr Fayemi by over 10,000 votes.

Kayode Fayemi, The Ekiti State Governor-elect has described his victory in the polls as significant to the future of democracy in Nigeria.

According to reports from The Cable, Fayemi said this while talking to reporters after he was declared winner.

Fayemi, who won 12 out of the 16 local governments, said the victory is for restoring the values of the people.

The victory of this election, I believe, is for reclaiming the land and restoring the values of our people.

Our values in Ekiti are respect for our leaders, commitment to our people, non-brigandage, non criminality and so on.

This victory is a victory for all, it is not a victory for only Gov. Kayode Fayemi, it is a victory for all the Ekiti people.

An investigation carried out by Punch, showed that the joint which is three months old, is located in the government reserved area and is owned by a lady who resides in the UK.

The joint which operates like a bar, has well over 30 men, some of whom are undergraduates in tertiary institutions in the state.

Pretending to be making enquiries on behalf of her female boss, a Punch reporter visited the joint and met with Patty, the lady that operates the joint on behalf of the owner who lives in the UK

“My madam wants a clean and neat guy to keep her company. Is it possible to get one here?” the reporter told the lady manager.

While responding to the question, Patty rolled out their array of services and how they have helped satisfy the needs of many of Port Harcourt’s ‘big’ and ‘lonely’ women and men. According to Patty, they offer only ”take away services”, meaning they only give men to take home for service, they do not provide rooms for the doings…lol

“While others mainly supply women for the satisfaction of men, we do the reverse. Whichever specification of men you need to make you happy in bed, we have them. Communication on the type of man needed and other issues like payment is always discreet. Everything is done through the telephone while the client does not necessarily need to come to this place. As part of our mode of operation, we do not give out rooms here for clients to be attended to; we run a ‘takeaway’ service, so they are expected to meet at a hotel of choice of the customer.

“Our clients need not be scared about the possibility of being blackmailed because all our guys are well-trained and are not allowed to communicate directly with the women needing their services. They are not also availed of the identity or contact number of the client, so the chance of such happening is very remote.

“The type of service to be rendered by our guys depends on how much the client can afford. Our charges are reasonable and negotiable but the standard fee for an entire night service is N40, 000.

“Before any client pays, she must have selected from a number of photos of our guys that we send through the Internet. It is after the person indicates interest in one that we proceed with payment and other things,” she said.

The lady manager said undergraduates make up the large number of male sex workers that help bring happiness to many of the city’s rich and horny females.

“We have a guy here now; he is very clean but not as tall as you want. He is a university student and very good in bed,” she said with a sense of pride.

“There is another one around now too, he is a graduate. I know them very well. They all earn good money for their performances. We usually run medical tests on them to make sure that they are free of any disease, especially HIV/AIDS. But if the client wants an additional test, she will pay for such” she said

Asked if they have as much as 20 men for a night of pleasure for various women, Patty made an enquiry from her madam and confirmed that they have enough men available.

“I just spoke with our director who is abroad through a senior colleague. She said there are enough guys for the task and that as many as could be needed would be made available on request. I want you to come through the company so that I will not get myself into trouble. She (director) will be the person that will give you the persons that you want no matter how many of them you need. She is not in the country; she is overseas but knows how to handle everything from there because she knows everything we do here. If she knows you are coming from my side, she will not bill you too much,” she said

She also revealed that their director also organises men for gay men.

“Yes, even the other guys (gays) have been coming too,” she said. “We have one or two who can attend to their needs for the right price. We are here to make everyone happy,” she said

Patty said she has no idea how the men are selected. An email from the owner listed the sexual activities provided to any customer.

“We offer very sensual massages where you and the masseuse are completely naked in full body-to-body oily or soapy massage. It can be at our spa or wherever you desire. Two hours with happy ending with oily or soapy massage goes for N35,000 and N40,000 separately. Former Big Brother Nigeria housemate, Victoria Oluwabusayo, aka Khloe, has explained why she deleted the birthday post she dedicated to another former housemate, Leo, on her Instagram page.

She told Sunday Scoop ;

“I was never following Leo and I usually delete birthday posts at the end of the day. Even the day I posted wishes to my mother; I deleted the post later. That I follow someone on Instagram doesn’t even mean we are friends. I could also not follow someone on social media and still be friends with that person. I just try to be real at all times. Upon leaving the house, I have learnt that people just want to appear successful, irrespective of whether they really are. That’s why many people lead fake lives on social media just to impress people and be accepted. Meanwhile, that’s not really my thing and I wouldn’t go out of my way to impress anybody.”

Describing her relationship with ex-housemates, she said, “I am cool with everybody and if anybody is not cool with me, that is their problem. My favourites of all the former housemates are Anto, Cee C and Ifu Ennada.”

LASU Associate Professor caught in alleged S*x Scandal

A Lagos State University Associate Professor of Economics, Dr. Sunkanmi Odubunmi has allegedly been caught in the web of s*xual harassment of one of his female students.

Coming barely two weeks after the reported sack of one Professor Richard Akindele of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, the insatiable lust for love advances by varsity dons reared its ugly head again at LASU within the week.

Odubunmi a 1987 graduate of the university and best student in Mathematics For Economics, is said to be a no-nonsense economics lecturer and well respected until the recent bubble busted in the latest development that may have changed the university community perception about his personality.

A report said the Oyo State born professor, is presently at the centre of a s*x scandal and examination malpractices involving a young girl (names withheld) of the same department.

Available information stated that the student in question, who had vehemently turned down love advances from the lecturer severally, approached and sought the assistance of a non-government organisation to help track the alleged s*xual harassment.

According to reports, “The NGO later involved the LASU security to trap the lecturer, who was supposed to be due for a full professorship a week to the incident,” said our source.

The source revealed that the young lady was equipped with sensitive gadgets such as a pen, belt and eyeglasses all with a camera to record their video and audio conversations.

It was alleged that Odubunmi fell for the trap and invited the lady to his office on a Saturday to rewrite the failed paper and she agreed and reported with all the surveillance apparatus on her while the NGO people also stationed themselves in another office not far from Odubunmi’s with the laptops connected to the spy camera’s on the lady.

Left all alone, Professor Odubunmi was said to have given her the papers to write her exams and bolted the office door firmly, while the student got down to writing the papers, the lecturer removed his shirt and started cuddling his student from the back.

The student was said to have become panicky, lost concentration and put up a resistance with the lecturer who later found that the student wore a spy eyeglass.

Having smelt a rat and the plot, Dr. Odunbunmi was alleged to have beaten a retreat, hurriedly dressed up, seized the surveillance glasses and destroyed it.

He was reported to have raised the alarm and varsity security guards that are part of the set up quickly moved in with the NGO team and arrested the enraged lecturer.

A source close to the university’s Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations (CIPPR) confirmed the development, saying that a query had been issued by the management of the institution to Dr. Odubunmiin in line with the disciplinary process of the university.

“The next step is before the Joint Disciplinary Committee of Council and Senate,” the source added.

Dr. Odubunmi was recently drafted into the membership of a committee on Open/Distance Learning & Research Institute constituted by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Lanre Fagbohun.

This is coming barely a month after Professor Olusegun Awonusi, an English Language lecturer at the University of Lagos was alleged to have sexually harassed a female student of the institution.

However, the management of the institution will on Monday disclose to the public report of the Fact-Finding Panel on the allegation of sexual harassment involving Prof Awonusi.
