Popular Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has clapped back at his critics who claim he is not versatile and only plays lover boy roles in movies.
This comes after the latest movie he starred in as the lead role, ‘A Tribe Called Judah,’ became the highest-grossing Nollywood movie, raking in a billion naira and counting.
The movie not only surpassed the record for the highest-grossing film but also set records as the fastest movie to hit N1 billion at the box office and the highest-grossing director in Nollywood.
Taking to Twitter, the 36-year-old movie star excitedly shared the news of the movie’s remarkable success in the cinema and took a jab at those who claim he only plays lover boy or spoiled kid roles.
He asserted that he hopes this achievement will put an end to that narrative, emphasizing that the role he played in the movie is very different from his usual roles in movies.

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, known professionally as Bella Shmurda has stirred up the emotion of many online, after he rejected a picture portrait of him and his late best friend, Mohbad from a fan.

Controversial US-based Nigerian professor Uju Anya had a heated exchange with a user on X (formerly Twitter) after he criticized her for her opinion on the trending discourse about women waking up early to cook for their husbands.
Recall that X has been abuzz since a pregnant Nigerian woman revealed that she wakes up as early as 4:50 am to cook and pack her husband’s lunch for work. She mentioned starting this routine after her husband mentioned that his female colleague brought two spoons for them to eat her food together.
This revelation sparked a huge debate on social media, with some praising her dedication to her marriage, while others criticized her and accused her husband of gluttony.
Uju Anya, known for being vocal about being a lesbian, also shared her perspective on the issue. She expressed displeasure with the woman waking up early to cook for her husband to prevent him from seeking food elsewhere.
“So you’re saying you rise before dawn to cook for an able-bodied adult so that he doesn’t beg coworkers for food and engage with somebody for day-old rice and chicken?” she asked.
In response, the troll criticized Uju for criticizing the hardworking wife, calling her a disgrace and an old fool.

A female pastor has shared her alleged encounter with the popular actorYul Edochie, where she warned him about the gloomy vision she had about his son.
While preaching in her church recently, the clergywoman, identified as Francisca Emmanuel, disclosed that she told Yul on February 5, 2023, that someone wanted to kill his son.
The alleged vision came few weeks before the tragic demise of the actor’s first son, Kambilichukwu, in April 2023.
According to Francisca, she specifically told Yul that a woman was responsible for the potential attack on his son, but he seemingly took her warning with levity.

A quite young lady identified simply as Iyanu has given a shocking recount of how she slept with her brother and also their father for years and even welcomed a child with her brother.
In an interview with journalist, Oriyomi Hamzat, Iyanu who shared the revelation in her native tongue, Yoruba, revealed that her brother has been having carnal knowledge of her since the age of 11 and that her own father also joined in the dirty deed when she turned 17.
According to Iyanu, her father and brother were aware of the fact that they were taking turns to sleep with her but that didn’t stop them from continuing.
Her father, Michael Ayinde, who was interrogated and would turn 52 in February this year, revealed that he has been divorced from his wife and their mum for 16 years now and hasn’t been able to remarry because he is living in penury. He stated that himself and his estranged wife have four children together. While confessing to his heinous crime, the father is quoted as saying,
“I came to live in Ibadan in 2021. I used to take alcohol. On that fateful night, I was drunk and so I came back home and had sex with her. I have only had sex with her once”
After he was asked if his daughter resisted his attempt to sleep with him, Mr Ayinde claimed she did not. He said when he finished and realized what he had done, he began to beg her to forgive him.
Iyanu said her father began to sleep with her when she and her brother went to visit him in a bakery where he used to work. She added that he continued to sleep with her whenever she and her brother visited him in a house he later rented. According to her, her father would start by removing her clothes when she was sleeping and then proceed to have carnal knowledge of her. She said her father had slept with her four times.
When interviewed, the older brother denied he impregnated his sister and welcomed a child with her. He said it was his friend who disvirgined his sister and that he had sex with his sister when he went to visit their mum. He also claimed that he had only slept with his sister four or five times.

A Nigerian man has publicly outed his biological father for allegedly sleeping with his younger sisters.
The young man recorded a video showing his father and accused him of sleeping with his younger sisters. In the video, he is surrounded by people who he claims came to beg him to leave his father alone despite the atrocities the man had committed.

A Nigerian lady has been left heartbroken after her traveling bag filled with cow and goat meat was seized at the Edinburgh airport in Scotland.
The lady claimed to have packed the items in the bag, which contained one whole cow and 2 ram meat which was properly deep fried.
Regretting her actions, she shared a video of her goods been wrapped with nylon on her TikTok page @IamBecky, while asking if her meat was going to be thrown away by the officials.

A soldier based in the Northern part of Nigerian, has condemned the actions of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu towards a colleague of his who was arrested for plying a one way road.
In a two minute plus clip, the soldier educated Nigerians on why the Governor should not have treated a military personnel like that.
This comes after the video of the Lagos state Governor arresting people, including a soldier for plying a one way made its way to the internet.
He stated by criticizing the Governor for calling a lance corporal a useless person in the presence of ‘civilian’ and for allowing DSS officials manhandle him in the process of the arrest.

A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to lament because she claims her husband is overreacting to paternity fraud as he discovers their five-year-old is not his and now demands a divorce.
She disclosed that they had been married for six years and he recently discovered that he was not the biological father of their five-year-old first child.
The woman said that her husband had been told by a friend that the kid was not his, so he had a DNA test, the results of which validated his suspicions.
She wants her husband to just accept their baby since she thinks he is overreacting to the paternity fraud and the child is still the same regardless of the results of the DNA test.
She questioned why they couldn’t simply pray about the developments, welcome God into their household, and get over the difficult situation.

“My husband of 6 years is divorcing me because he discovered that our first born is not his child. A friend sold me out and my husband demanded a paternity test which came out negative.
The child is 5 this year. Am I wrong to think my husband is overreacting? He loves this child and has been a good father from birth. Why is he letting a mere test change all this? The child is still the same. Intelligent, humble, loving and cute. Why can’t we pray about it and invite God to our house? I am so drained right now.”
Veteran actress Rita Edochie has come out to tackle her relative Yul Edochie for accusing his estranged wife, May, of refusing to return the bride price he paid at their marriage.

In response to his accusation, Rita, who is married to Pete Edochie’s brother, revealed that May had asked Yul to come and collect the bride price, but he kept holding back because he thought she would give in to his polygamous plan.
She added that Yul started intensifying pressure to collect the bride price after May filed for a divorce in court, which cannot work because no decision can be taken outside the court’s jurisdiction.

A Germany-based Catholic Priest has challenged singer Chidinma Ekile after she claimed that she was born blind but regained her sight following her mother’s prayers.
Recall that Chidinma, who quit secular music to become a gospel artist in 2021, disclosed this in a video on her YouTube page in May 2023. You can watch the video here
In response, Rev. Father Angelo Chidi Unegbu requested the singer to provide evidence supporting her claims of being born blind and later regaining her sight.
Taking to Facebook, the clergyman urged her to share details of the hospital of her birth, the names of the doctors who confirmed her blind, and whether she sought medical verification after recovering her sight.
According to him, he would like to send a team to the hospital for investigation and possibly interview the doctors and her mother.
He explained that his request is line with his recent initiative to scrutinize cases where individuals claim to have regained their sight in church.
Father Angelo wrote,
“TO MS. CHIDINMA EKILE
Dear Ms. Chidinma Ekile, I saw your video where you told the world that you were born blind but later received your sight when your mother went on her knees to God in prayer. To convince the doubting Thomases, I will please request that you give us permission to interview your mother, the hospital where you were born, the name and address of the hospital, and the doctor or doctors that confirmed you blind after birth and the cause of the blindness. We would also like to know whether you went back to the hospital or went to a doctor or doctors that confirmed you were blind after receiving your sight. If yes, may we know them as well? Our medical team will carry out the investigations as soon as we receive the required details. Please contact me via my email, [email protected].

In a very distressing report, a student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Ago Iwoye, Onadipe Oluwatosin, aka Peckulia, has been reportedly killed by police officers and some road union workers who staged his death like a motor accident.
One Oluwabunmi Michael Ayoyemi, who shared the sad news on Twitter on Tuesday, January 2, disclosed that the upcoming singer was declared missing after he went to the Ago-Iwoye park to preach the gospel. His family went to file a missing person report at the Ago Iwoye police station.
Unfortunately, his mangled body was found on Ijebu-Ijesha road a week later, raising suggestions that he was hit by a vehicle.
However, an eyewitness contacted the family anonymously to reveal that they saw a former chairman of the Ago-Iwoye motor park hitting the deceased in the head with an iron rod.
The eyewitness claimed that the park chairman and his colleagues accused the deceased of disturbing them with his preaching. They tried to chase him away but he refused to leave and continued preaching the gospel, following which they attacked him.
The police was called to the scene and they took Peckulia , who was injured and bleeding profusely, in their van to an undisclosed location. Sadly, his body was found a week later in a deformed state.
Though it’s currently not clear what they did to the deceased, the Student Union Body of the university have launched an investigation into the case.

“On Sunday 17th of December, Onadipe Oluwatosin (Peckulia) was said to have gone to Ago-Iwoye park (chips) to preach the gospel to people,” Ayoyemi narrated.
According to an eye witness, the park chairman accused him of disturbing his peace, the Marijuana smoking park Chairman and his people decided to chased him, after which he refused to leave but continue with the gospel.
“Then all of a sudden a man who was confirmed as the former park chairman knocked him on the head with a heavy vulcanizer iron rod, which left him bleeding profusely and some had to leave the scene immediately for safety purpose and the Ago-Iwoye police station was called to intervene.
“No one went near Oluwatosin to help him or even rush him to a nearby hospital till the Police got there, and people thought he was going to finally get medical attention, but instead he went missing for more than a week.
The family even went to this police station to file a case of missing person in which nothing was even said to the Family, only for his de@d body to be found on ljebu-ljesha road in what looked like a motor accident, The family was also made to believe they had lost their son in a tragic motor accident.
Thank God for a God fearing eye witness who decided to reach out anonymously to the family member about what he saw and relayed that he last saw Oluwatosin (Peckulia) at the park and that a man knocked him hard on the head with a heavy iron rod which made him fall to the ground and started bleeding profusely, but that their bus left the garage not long after and he couldn’t say what happened after but that he heard the Police have been called and was also told by the driver carrying them that the man who knocked him was a former park chairman
To cut the long story short, after few arrests, interrogations and questioning at the park(chips) there were confessions that the Police were actually the one who carried Oluwatosin (Peckulia) away in their van but not for medical attention.
They carried him to the spot where he was found, threw away his phone and made it all look like a motor accident.
They made sure they carried him far away to a spot out of their jurisdiction and even when the body was found, reports wouldn’t be made at their own police station.”

A Nigerian journalist from Ebonyi has weighed into Edochie’s issue, he has revealed what would happen if May’s bride price is returned to Yul Edochie.
The journalist who identified as Wisdom Nwedene noted that the actor would lose the rights to his children if May’s bride price was to be returned, as is the tradition in Ebonyi state.

Controversial media personality, Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO, has asked May Edochie a few questions on her postponed name change since her marriage turned sour.
