President Buhari was moved to tears by the devastation caused by the fire incident that gutted no fewer than 750 shops in the central market in Azare, Bauchi state.
The President, who is currently on a visit to the state said he was in Azare to see things for himself and assess the damages suffered by traders in the area.
Buhari said:
“I am here to personally sympathise with traders in Azare in the aftermath of the unfortunate fire incident in the market last week,”
Muhammadu Buhari noted that the fire incident was a natural disaster, and expressed federal government’s sympathy for the victims.
He assured that the federal government will critically look into the matter through NEMA with a view to assisting the victims. Buhari added;
“Federal Government is committed to economic development and the market fire disaster is a great setback to our genuine commitment to economic recovery.”
Buhari had visited the scene of the fire disaster to personally ascertain the level of damages done to the market.

A Physician, Dr David Bawa, says women are more prone to Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) due to their anatomy.
Bawa told NAN on Wednesday in Abuja that women were more susceptible to infections due to the open structure of their genitals.
“A woman’s anatomy alone makes her more vulnerable to sexually transmitted infections than a man.
“Unlike the relatively thick skin of the male organ, a woman’s cervical is covered by a thin, more delicate mucous membrane that more easily allows viruses and bacteria to pass through and cause infection.
“The vagina is also a warm and moist environment, an environment that could encourage bacteria to grow when they find their way in. STIs are the second most common burden of diseases in tropical Africa, commonly found in women,’’ he said.
He noted that most STIs were treatable while some have no cure.
“ Treating STIs means suppressing the organism causing the virus that such a person could live a healthy live,’’ the physician said.
Bawa decried the way most women claimed to have toilet infection, saying that medically, such claims are unacceptable while some were more prone due to bad personal hygiene.
“There is nothing like toilet infection, it is either an STI or an auto infection meaning infecting one’s self as a result of bad personal hygiene.
“Cleaning the anus down to the vagina, thereby moving the bacteria load from the anus to other parts of the body which could result to an infection.
“STIs like chlamydia and gonorrhoea, if unnoticed and untreated, could lead to a condition called Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) in women.
“PID could lead to chronic pelvic pain, ectopic pregnancy (a pregnancy that develops in the fallopian tubes instead of the uterus). It could also cause infertility in women,’’ he warned.
A woman has claimed drinking her own dog’s urine helped clear her bad acne in an horrifying video.
‘Many of you have asked me how I always look so good, how my makeup always looks so perfect, or how I always have this natural glow,’ the unnamed American woman says in the clip.
Using a plastic cup, the woman collects urine from her dog before drinking it in full during the minute-and-a-half clip.
The horrifying video appears to be real after the woman is able to chug the cup of urine right after she collects it from dog.
‘Until I first drank my dog’s pee, I was depressed, I was sad, and I had bad acne,’ the woman says after finishing the cup.
‘Dog pee also has vitamin A in it, vitamin E in it, and it has 10 grams of calcium, and it’s also proven to help cure cancer.’
Drinking dog or human urine is known as urine therapy, and it was a practiced form of therapy in ancient China, Rome, Greece and Egypt.
But experts warn about the impact the substance can have on the health because of the toxins and acids that can reside in the urine.
‘Urine is mostly made up of water, lots of urea, creatinine, various electrolytes, uric acid, trace proteins, and low levels of antibodies and enzymes,’ Joy McCarthy, a certified holistic nutritionist, told Allure.
She says that drinking urine from an animal could be an unsafe route for the body because what the liquid might contain.
‘Herbicides have been detected in dog’s urine, likely from herbicide-treated lawns, antibiotics, and hormones, so I really don’t know that it’s the safest choice,’ Joy says.
A common misconception people have is that drinking ones own urine could help in a survival situation to prevent dehydration.
But the US Army Field Manual actually instructs its soldiers to not drink their urine because it might contain ‘harmful body waste.’
As for the woman’s claim that the urine could cure cancer, there lacks a sufficient amount of evidence to support the method.
Dr. Amy Shah, a functional medicine doctor,tells Mind Body Green that small amounts of urine therapy could be beneficial, but she would not prescribe it as a cure for diseases at the moment.
‘While most of urine is water, waste, and urea, I still cannot recommend this as a viable alternative to the many diseases it is touted to cure,’ she says.
‘We have more waste in our systems today than we did thousands of years ago.’
Consuming that waste without anything filtered out could cause more harm than good compared to the modern medicine available, Dr Shah explains.

Mark Zuckerberg has announced a new TV service, IGTV that is designed to lure young viewers away from YouTube.
It features one major difference from it’s rival: Instagram’s video display will be designed to fill a vertical smartphone screen, rather than horizontal displays like YouTube.
The featured is called IGTV and will increase Facebook-owned Instagram’s video time limit from one minute to 10 minutes for most users.
Accounts with large audiences will be able to go on for as long as an hour. The video will be available through Instagram or a new app called IGTV.
The video will eventually give Facebook more opportunities to sell advertising. It’s the latest instance in which Instagram has ripped a page from a rival’s playbook in an effort to preserve its status as a place for young people to share and view content.
In this case, Instagram is mimicking Google’s YouTube. Before, Facebook and Instagram have copied Snapchat – another magnet for teens and young adults.
Instagram, now nearly 8 years old, is moving further from its roots as a photo-sharing service as it dives headlong into a longer-form video.
The initiative comes as parent company Facebook struggles to attract teens, while also dealing with a scandal that exposed its leaky controls for protecting users’ personal information.

Busty Actress, Cossy Ojiakor, has revealed that she was beaten up by her abusive neighbor, Mr Martin. She says she was trying to intervene as Mr. Martin beat up his wife, when he also pounced on her.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote:

Martin is an uneducated big boy from Agulu Uzoigbo in Anambra state. He is so fond of beating up his wife at anytime it please him.”

A quite heartbroken man has put his wedding ring up for sale on eBay after his wife ran off with another man just two weeks after their union, Metro UK reports.
Andy Mitchell, 40, had married his 21-year-old sweetheart Meaghuan in a lavish £30,000 ceremony in Mexico, on June 3. He probably thought he’d be spending the rest of his life with her but this was not to be the case.
Meaghuan decided to leave him just 16 days later for a man she had apparently met on her hen night.
She admitted to having fell for another man but insisted they only slept together after the wedding.
‘We know what we’ve done and take full responsibility. I was young and naive when I first got with him,’ she said when discussing her relationship with Mr Mitchell.
Mr Mitchell, a taxi service manager, now wants to cut his losses and sell both their wedding rings for £400.
He announced the split from his wife on the Facebay Fife Facebook group, writing:
‘Hi, recently I got married in Mexico on the 3rd of June and this was the wedding set I used while Meaghan Mitchell said her marriage vows.”
‘However, six days later I found out she started having an affair on her hen night and it carried on for eight weeks through our dream wedding.’
He also posted images of texts he claims were swapped between Meaghuan and her new man.
He said:
‘We had no secrets. We trusted each other completely.
‘I managed to get her phone off her and locked her outside.
‘I read all the messages and took pictures.’
The couple had married in Akumal Bay Beach Resort, Mexico, in front of family and friends. Mr Mitchell added: ‘All her friends and family are embarrassed. They don’t want anything to do with her.’
