Celebrity chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has awarded one million naira in cash, a brand-new automobile, and an iPhone 14 Plus to the best three students in her culinary class.

The famous chef was captured in many social media videos that have gone viral as she presents awards to her students.

This comes a few weeks after the renowned chef held a culinary class at a fixed registration fee.

The goal of the class was to educate young Nigerians on how to cook unique dishes, culminating in an awards ceremony for the top three participants.

In the attached video below, the famous chef is seen presenting one student with a one-million-naira cheque and another with a brand-new automobile.

Iyabo Ojo slams Naira Marley with N1bn lawsuit after he threatened to sue

Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has countersued renowned musician Azeez Fashola, better known by his stage name Naira Marley for deliberately misleading the public.

Recall that Naira Marley threatened to file a lawsuit against the movie star if she fails to publicly apologize to him for defamation of character.

In the letter shared on his Instagram page, he gave Iyabo seven days from the time of receiving the letter to apologize to him, otherwise she would pay N500 million in damages.

Days after the threat, Iyabo has now responded by criticizing the singer’s legal team for choosing to share the lawsuit online rather than serve it to her in person or by mail.

The document reads in part:

“OUR CLIENT’S DEMANDS

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that, our client finds your client’s demands as spurious, frivolous and clout chasing but shall initiate an action in the event your client fails to do so. Our client shall be claiming the sum of ONE BILLION NAIRA (N1, 000, 000, 000.00) deliberately misleading the public a letter was served on her with the intent of causing grievous harm which have indeed led to grievous loss of income and lower her standards amongst right thinking individuals, Nigerian and International associates, corporate institutions and reputable companies our client works for as ambassadors and/or COUNTER-CLAIM against your client in the sum of ONE BILLION NAIRA (N1, 000, 000, 000.00) for first bringing to the media and/or public, a letter addressed to her BUT DELIBERATELY NOT DELIVERED/SERVED.”

Sharing the document, she wrote: “RESPONSE TO THE LETTER FROM MR OLALEKAN OJO SAN DELIBERATELY CIRCULATED OVER SOCIAL AND PRINT MEDIA WITHOUT DESERVING COURTESY TO SERVE ME. I look forward to hearing from them in no distant time, please. Yours sincerely, Iyabo Ojo.”

An American tourist and Ifa devotee, Nathan Lugo, recently took to social media to share his experience at Cotonou Cadjehoun International Airport in the Benin Republic, comparing it with his experience at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Nigeria.

In a post on his Facebook page, he expressed his positive impressions of the Cotonou airport, stating that it surpassed the Lagos airport in terms of quality and service.

He also highlighted the lack of discrimination he experienced as an Orisa devotee at the Cotonou airport, in contrast to his encounters at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.

“I’ve been to Yorùbáland on the Benin Republic side on several occasions for several years now. My first time was in 2018.

“But, this was my first time flying directly into Cotonou, Benin Republic, and flying directly out of Cotonou, Benin Republic.

And, just for a frame of reference, I’ve been flying to Yorùbáland on the Nigeria side ANNUALLY through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport of Lagos since 1998…Annually since 1998! That is 25 years!!!

“Last year I flew through the airport of Lagos in and out 4 times throughout the year. One thing I can say is that there are massive differences between the Cotonou Cadjehoun International Airport and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport – Lagos.

“The airport in Cotonou is puny by comparison. It also has a pleasant design. The inside of the airport is clean. Their bathrooms are clean and fully functional with soap dispensers and hand dryers. Its car park is clean.

“There aren’t ọmọ ìta, like the ones in the airport in Lagos, all around trying to hustle you. The staff were balanced in their demeanor, professional, and friendly.

“Did I mention that the air-conditioning system at both the departure and arrival areas of the airport at Cotonou works? Yes, their a/c works!!! They are not making human suya out of travelers leaving the country. Can you imagine that???

“And, both at the airport and most everywhere else throughout the Benin Republic, I felt overwhelmingly safe and like I was in any other country where people seemed “normal”, for lack of a better word.

“Here is the most important part: Not one customs official nor immigration officer nor airline staff tried to ask for a bribe nor extort money from me nor ask “what did you bring for me.” No one.!!! Is that not a normal airport?

“From now on I believe I will be calling the airport at Lagos the ‘Murtala Muhammed Flying Circus of Lagos.’ To our ‘yOu CaNnOt CoMpArE bEnIn RePuBlIc To NiGeRiA’ people – You are absolutely 100% correct!!!

Nigerian singer Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, better known as Peruzzi, has revealed the reason behind his decision to move out of his record label boss Davido’s house.

The 34-year-old musician, who was previously living under Davido’s roof, disclosed this during his recent appearance on the ‘Zero Conditions’ podcast.

He explained that he opted to leave and began searching for an apartment when Chioma, Davido’s fiancée-now-wife, became pregnant with their first child, Ifeanyi, who sadly passed away a year ago.

Peruzzi revealed that he accelerated his plans to find his own place as Chioma approached her due date and was planning to move into Davido’s house.

The ‘Majesty’ crooner mentioned that he did not inform Davido about his decision to leave the house and only confided in his late colleague, Obama DMW.

However, he emphasized that his departure did not create any conflict between him and Davido. In fact, his new house was conveniently located close to the DMW boss’s house, and he occassionally used to spend the night at his place.

“When Chioma got pregnant I had to move out. When Ifeanyi was about to be born. When I was looking for the place I didn’t tell Davido. But they called me and said Chioma is coming”, Peruzzi said in part.

It’s no news that Pastor B, the lead pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, has been trending on Twitter since videos from the carol service held on Sunday, December 17, were shared on social media.

During the service tagged ‘Fantasia’, celebrities such as Spyro, BBNaija star Dorathy, and actor Etim Effiong acted in a stage play. Spyro also performed his hit song ‘Only Fine Girl’ to serenade Dorathy.

Big Brother Naija season 5 star, Ozomena Joseph Chukwu better known as Ozo, has stated that competing in the reality TV show in 2020 was his greatest blessing.

The sports analyst claimed that it gave him a chance to demonstrate his extensive expertise about sporting activities and tournaments.

The Juventus Nigeria brand manager told The Punch in a recent interview that landing lucrative sports-related jobs was a major victory for him.

Ozo said; “The biggest blessing I have was the year I was on the show. There was a betting company that was one of the major sponsors (of the show then). Every Friday, there were sports trivia games, and that gave me a great opportunity to show I had so much knowledge and interest in sports.

There were questions ranging from football, basketball, tennis, golf, Formula One, boxing, and Ultimate Fighting Championship. My fellow housemates then used to clamour for me to be on their teams. That was big for me.”

When asked if he would be interested in working in entertainment, Ozo responded that he was happy in the sports world because the two are related.

He also disclosed that he is a minority shareholder in a business that intends to produce a game show for football fans.

He said;

“Sports and entertainment are intertwined. I am never bored, and that is because there is always a sports event for me to watch. There is always a form of entertainment for what I do.

For example, I am (an analyst) on a football show where we talk about things that happen around the English premier league. There is a company where I am a minority owner, and we are about to start our own show and quiz people on different football matters. Popular Nigerian singer Harrysong has taken to social media to call out his ex-label boss, Kcee over unpaid debt and royalties.

The artist begged Kcee to return his money and release his songs on his Instagram page.

He also listed all of his successful songs, Reggae Blues, Baba for the Girls, and Samankwe, from which Kcee has been earning 100% of the royalties.

Harrysong pleaded with the Five Star Music boss to give him what rightfully belongs to him and to take only his fair share.
