Yesterday, Operatives of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command‏ arrested a 27 year old Road Union member who had ‘134 wraps of Indian Hemp’ packaged in drug sachets with him in Oshodi.

Bobrisky has again slammed MC Galaxy on social media for not coming for the meeting they were supposed to have today at a Police station.

According to the Cross-dresser, the singer had reported him to the authorities and alleged that he threatened his life over their falling out during the social media fight they had over his former gateman, Jacob.

MC Galaxy allegedly didn’t however turn up for the meeting both yesterday and today, but this was what the transvestite had to say;

Policeman Assaulted Actress April Joju Muse Arrested

Earlier today, we brought you reports of Nigerian actress April Joju Muse who was reportedly brutalized by a Police officer on her way to work today.

According to the actress who shared the video of what transpired between herself and the uniformed personnel, she was hit by a vehicle which reportedly belongs to the Police.

..and then she was screaming at the top of her voice against the policeman, when he destroyed her passenger window, and threw teargas in her car.. She wrote:

“My dear friends if I die, pls look for at Ajiwe police station. I was brutalised on my way to work. I’ve posted a video.”

Well, according to reports reaching us now, the officer caught in the video has now been arrested.

Nigerian singer, Rugged Man took to his Instagram page to share a video of Lagos state police commissioner reacting to the incident.

He wrote:

At the sit down with the police and concerned youths this morning, I got loads of tags on the Video of an officer assaulting actress April Muse @jojumuse. I immediately told and showed @opetodolapo who was seated beside me and she swung into action. When it was my turn to speak, it was one of the things i spoke about and @aleeygiwa and oga Moshood were shocked and all got on their phones to see the video.
Just an hour after, the Lagos Force PRO of @policenglagos @chikeotigodwin just announced that the officer from Ajiwe police station that assaulted actress April Muse has been arrested.
That April is at the station as we speak.

A lady who was called to Bar today in Abuja, has recounted her experience at the Nigerian Law School.

According to Chukwuba Chiluba, some of her colleagues at the Nigerian Law school, Lagos campus didn’t make it due to the death, madness and other reasons. Read what she shared on Facebook below;

Nigerian Law School especially Lagos campus is the toughest campus . If you want stress ,go there. We sit in class from 9-5pm. Sometimes we don’t get to leave class till 6 or 7pm just because we want to learn ! After which we must hold group meetings for presentation the next day. And the cycle continues.

People faint in class or even drop out because they couldn’t cope. A man lost his child but had to sit for the compulsory law dinner , I couldn’t imagine the pain he went through.

A particular set had a woman who went into labour in the examination hall, she had to finish her exam in the ward , law school pities no one !

Some even ran mad .While we lost others to the cold hands of death.

At one point I broke down, I became sick and pale . Adaobi Chinazom Eze came to visit me on campus and I begged her to take me with her , I didn’t mind tagging along . She promised to come pick me and she didn’t. I really take it as an insult when people make fun of lawyers in Nigeria, truth is there might not be all that glamour but my dear it isn’t easy !

I also find it offensive when people make fun of those who didn’t pass law school, some of you would be lost in civil litigation class and would come out insane. Before you force your child to study law , please ask him/her if that is what they want ,because it isn’t easy .

Six years of learning, Is not easy. And for those of us who didn’t study in private universities you can remember our “university strike ” experience which put our education on hold , we would have graduated a long time ago. I graduated since 2015 , but didn’t go to law school because this.

If law is so simple, go study it , I hope you have the money and intelligence to facilitate this ambition, it’s not easy, so when you hear or say lawyers are proud , we accept ! It’s not a career or course for the fickle minded or the “basic”…
.
And even as a female in the legal world , there is this disgusting stereotype that we tend to be jezebels , who no man would want , well if no man wants us , money wants us ,who cares !

Damning revelations show that Kiss Daniel earned a monthly salary of 30k and missed his father’s burial because of his Label demands

Beloved Nigerian pop star, Kiss Daniel is currently entangle in a legal battle with his former record label, G-Worldwide. Their case is already in court and the media has been filtered with reports, insinuations, court documents and some facts.

Since the story broke, Linda Ikeji’s blog started investigating and talking to both parties involved and while the key players are avoiding the media as well as being quoted, their aides and sources close to them are talking.

According to LIB, it was revealed that contrary to the denials by G-Worldwide in the press, Kiss Daniel was actually placed on a monthly salary of 30,000 per month all through the success of his hit single ‘Woju’.

A highly placed source who spoke to the blog on condition of anonymity said,

‘from the beginning of his contract (a 7 years and 5 album contract) he wasn’t placed on any percentage rather Kiss Daniel was placed on a monthly salary of 30,000 (thirty thousand naira) up until ‘Woju’ remix was released then it was later increased to 50,000 (fifty thousand naira) before he insisted on a review of his contract in 2015 and by the second quarter of 2015 he began to receive 40% of his performance fees. All the while he was collecting 30k, the boy already had a monster hit song ‘Woju’ and was raking in millions of naira’.
‘I really can’t place the date but I’m sure he was on that salary till after the release of ‘Laye’ which was released in May 2015′

LIB’s investigations also revealed that Kiss Daniel though wasn’t legally barred from collaborations, his record label vehemently stood against it,

‘the label categorically banned him from doing collaborations and made it look like he’s the one avoiding it. Or have you also seen his label mate, Sugarboy on any collaborations? The industry can testify to it, i won’t mention names but we all know. All the superstars who came to support Kiss Daniel at his album listening party, he couldn’t pay back the favour when they needed him because the label prevented him from doing so.

Basketmouth even had to block him on Instagram because Kiss was supposed to do a show for him but his label refused and Basketmouth got angry thinking Kiss Daniel was the one playing games with him’.

LIB’s source further revealed that;

Kiss Daniel couldn’t even make it to his own father’s burial because his label threatened him’.

‘on the day of his father’s burial, he already had a show that was booked and his label told him they don’t care about his father’s burial but he had to attend the show else he’ll get sued. At that time, Kiss Daniel was still on a monthly salary of 50,000 and two days before his father’s death, his kid brother was also involved in accident that left him unconscious for weeks. The label only gave him 200,000 to buy ‘coffin and fry puff puff’.

It was gathered that the Yeeba singer has made no income from any digital sales of his music, no income from his endorsement apart from the 40% he makes from shows. The label didn’t also provide him with an apartment or cars.

Though he stays in his own house and own a couple of choice rides, we gather that he’s had to pay for the official car that was used to move him around in the early days of the career which has since been given to the younger brother of his record label boss, Emperor Geezy.

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, says Nigeria youths are copying the wrong model of leadership, an act, he notes, may jeopardise their future.

Amaechi made the assertion in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sidelines of the Future Awards Africa held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos last Saturday.

He said the youths are not ready yet to embrace a corrupt-free society because they were wrongly orientated by those who were using them for their interest. He said:

The problem with Nigerian youth is that they just want to take over from the elite but they are not ready to embrace change, they don’t want reform.

They say that the roles being played by the elite are not satisfactory, but they must be ready to upset the leaders of this country through their ingenuity.

For example, during our days of activism, we engage government over unfavourable policies and we get headlong even during the military administration.

Now, student union presidents want a vehicle and a driver to be driving him about to attend meetings; during our time, who dares have a car, we all struggle on the street.

He advised Nigerian youth to rise to the fight against corruption. He said:

I will advise the youth to fight against corruption with all their energy instead of giving tacit support to those they think are their benefactors.

During our time in the student union struggles, we rose against impunity and organised protests; but what happens today, the government of the day announces the money siphoned but the youth keep quiet.

Such astronomic stolen amount government announced wouldn’t have happened during our time, all the street would have been filled with youths protesting and seeing that the culprits were punished.

Today, we have some of our youths dancing behind the corrupt politicians for a pot of meal that will not last long thereby mortgaging their future.

Amaechi said that Nigerian youth should stand up to the reality of life by asking questions from leaders on how they manage the economy and the commonwealth of Nigeria. He wrote:

Nigerian youth should start asking questions from leaders, including me, about what we are doing with our resources. It’s time to reject those that put us in this.

We should all desist from pulling our country down through corruption. But unfortunately, the youth are not interested in that, all what they want is how to look good.

Maybe they looked at me wearing designer shoes, what they will notice is that designer and how they can get it. That is not supposed to be.

During my time as a student union leader, I had only two pairs of clothes. But now the value system is wrong and the youth are copying wrong leadership model.

Nigerians are set for a ton of freebies this festive season as MTN Nigeria has kicked off the season of surprises initiative.

The drive from MTN is aimed at giving back and MTN’s way of saying thank you to Nigerians as revealed by an Executive Director of the company, Mr Gbenga Oyebode.

The give back initiative started last Sunday at the Police barracks, Falomo, Ikoyi where MTN gave out food items, household appliances and airtimes to resident of the barracks. On Monday, MTN also paid for the toll fare of commuters at the Lekki toll gate during the morning and evening rush while residents of the IDP camp in Maiduguri also felt the festive cheer.

This morning, MTN also continued with the free-toll pass as early as 7am. MTN revealed that the campaign is for Nigerians irrespective of their network and will continue across Nigeria till the 23rd of this month.

In a quick chat with BroadwayTV, Nigerian rapper Terry Apala has said he thinks Burna Boy is innocent, and didn’t do anything to fellow singer, Mr 2Kay.

He also added that the police should leave Burma Boy alone, and stop trying to rope him (Burna Boy) into the whole situation.

Recall, Burna Boy’s management released a statement saying that Burna has honored the police invitation, and is cooperating with them the best he can.

The statement reads;

“We use this medium to categorically state that Burna Boy, is not in any way involved with the robbery and beating up of Grafton Records’ Artiste, Mr. 2Kay on the 22nd of October, 2017.

The first and only invitation Burna Boy has ever received from the police was issued yesterday Nov 20th, 2017. This invitation was honored yesterday Nov 20th, 2017 and it has been made clear that he is happy to cooperate with the police as best as he can.

It is pertinent to note that he was never served an arrest warrant nor has he been declared wanted.

We are confident that the Nigerian police will deal with this fairly and professionally.”

Now, the Lagos State Police has denied the singer honored their invitation, disclosing that he might be on the run.

Their statement below;

“PRESS RELEASE:

The Lagos state Police Command would like to inform members of the public that Damini Ogulu a.k.a ‘Burna Boy’ is YET to report himself to the police and still on the run contrary to reports making rounds on the internet that the musician has honoured police invitation.

The command would also like to inform the public that only Burna Boy’s father, one Samuel Ogulu visited the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) in-charge of the case with the promise to bring Burna Boy before the police.

The Command however uses this medium to urge Burna Boy’s father and relatives to do right by bringing the musician and turning him in to the police before the long arm of the law catches up with him. The command assures that justice will be done.

Exactly 20 years ago, Nigerian gospel singer Yinka Ayefele was involved in a car crash that left his spinal cord damaged.

Before his accident on December 12, 1997, Yinka Ayefele was a broadcaster doing well for himself before his life changed in a car crash while driving his blue coloured Volks Wagen beetle.

The Ondo-state born singer took to his social media page to reminisce the tragic event and also show off the car which left him using a wheelchair for over 19 years.

He wrote:

“Exactly 20years Today, 12th of December 1997 my turning point. Glory be to God almighty for his love and kindness over my life from the past 20 years since I had that accident. It was indeed my turning point. I am grateful to you lord for making me a living testimony and I sincerely say a big thank you to all my fans all over the world for your unflinching support for the past 20 years. Whereever you are, please acknowledge God on my behalf.”

Yesterday, The Canadian Rapper shared a picture of Nigerian Singer, Tekno in his Studio cooking up some beats for him and the Nigerian MEDIA went agog in anticipation for a new collaboration or getting to work together .

Some social media users however started throwing subtle shades at a certain Nigerian act who collaborated with Drake on some hit songs but there was no picture proof of them working together.

Chidinma Ekile, the winner of MTN Project Fame 2010, is the latest cover of the Guardian Life magazine where she stressed again that she was born blind.

In her chat with Guardian Life that covered some few things, she revealed she couldn’t see for some months when she was born according to her parents. “I felt the need to help kids that find themselves in such situations or worse.”

“So every time I travel to these places, I try to extend a hand of love to these children.” Chidinma Ekile is an artist, actor and philanthropist who shot herself into the limelight after winning Project Fame 2010.

The musician is recognized for her hit songs Kedike, Emi Ni Baller and more melodious songs.

OAP Daddy freeze who has been at loggerheads with most clergymen in the country has raised an alarm over the comment made by a certain Pastor Nicholas Uagbor who said that he (Daddy Freeze) may die before the new year.

The comment made by the Pastor of Miracle center international was made in reply to the OAP’s comment to Pastor Adeboye’s son on an Instagram Blog post.

Pastor Nicholas wrote ;

Daddy freeze saw the comment, took a screenshot and posted it on his own Instagram account calling on law enforcement agencies to look upon the issue, he wrote;

This alleged man of god, @pastor_nicolas_uagbor made this comment clearly for all to see, under @instablog9ja’s cover of my response to pastor Adeboye’s son, from his account.

His exact words are “the way this guy is going, he may not see next year.”
