The President and Chief Executive of the Dangote Group, Mr. Aliko Dangote, has attributed the deadly conflict between suspected herdsmen and farmers in parts of Nigeria to the country’s increasing unemployment rate.
Dangote stated this on Tuesday in an interview with Channels Television.
“If there are jobs, there wouldn’t be anything like Boko Haram, there would not be anything like herdsmen. Once you are engaged, you do not have time for mischief,” he said.
The conflict between herdsmen and farmers, especially the New Year’s Day killings in Benue allegedly by herdsmen has dominated the headlines and split public opinion.
It has also led to criticism of the Federal Government, which many say is not doing enough to address the issue, a claim the Presidency has denied.
Dangote is not one of the government’s critics when it comes to the issue.
“The government is working tirelessly to make sure that we resolve this issue about herdsmen,” he said, pointing out, however, that the government would require support.
“Government cannot do it on its own; we also need to do our own. The government is giving us an opportunity to also create jobs,” he said.
“And I think people are under-rating how many jobs we need to create, not just in Nigeria and Africa, we need to create 12 million jobs every year in Africa.”
To effectively tackle unemployment, the industrialist believes there is a need to turn to Agriculture.
He said, “I think we should focus on agriculture, we should focus on solid minerals, these two can now replace oil.
“So if you have to create 12 million jobs, creating 12 million jobs especially now with technology is going to be a little bit difficult, but we have all it takes to create a lot of jobs, which is agriculture.”

Ace Music Producer and Mavins Boss – Don Jazzy has promptly apologized to a woman who accused him of body-shaming her, and he took it a step further by taking down the offensive post.
The Mavin boss shared a seemingly innocent photo collage featuring 4 women. Each woman was graded with a certain percentage, based on their looks. The photo had a caption saying “Your battery level is your bae” and Don Jazzy chose the last woman, Rihanna, with 76% – 100%.
A Twitter user with the handle @theslumflower who was also featured in the photo, in which she was graded 1% – 25%, informed Don Jazzy that it was offensive and tantamount to body-shaming and he quickly took down the post then apologized.
He tweeted “Wasn’t my intention to do that. Post has been deleted immediately. Pls accept my sincere apology. ??”
To be honest, some people take things too seriously, LOL

Singer Wizkid, seems not to be buying into the idea of the new sex dolls which has since gone viral, as he insulted the twitter handle of a sex doll who offered to gift him for free.
Wizzy had tweeted earlier;
Bazy say the people wey make sex doll… Be like dem no know how much olosho be for street?????????
Then a twitter user with the handle @sexdoll__ replied ;
“Wizkid Hey big head ?? you can get a free doll.”
Wizzy then lashed out at the handler saying, “Ogun go kill all of una! Shey mo jor iRobot?” which roughly translates to DO I LOOK LIKE Irobot ?
Well at least we know one of our favorite celebrity won’t be flaunting no sex doll on his social media account, because he does not like dolls.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday said Nigerians were accepting that his administration was doing its best, even if they were doing so grudgingly.
According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President spoke while receiving The Gambian President, Mr. Adama Barrow, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Buhari recalled that he took over from a party that had been in power for 16 years.
He added that during the period, the country earned huge amount of revenue which he said was unprecedented in the history of the country.
He said his administration had studied the problem of unemployment in the country which he described as one of the biggest challenges.
The President said his government was working hard to change the narrative.
He said, “Sixty percent of the 180 million people are under 25 years. They all wish for a secure future. Those of them who are educated feel they are more qualified for employment.
“We have studied the problem and are doing our best to stabilise the situation.
‘‘We took over from a party that had been in power for 16 years. During those years, the country earned an unprecedented amount of money as revenue, never seen at any time before.
“It is noteworthy that, no matter how grudgingly, the people are accepting that we are doing our best.”
The President expressed disappointment that he and other leaders of the Economic Community of West African States had to use strong-arm tactics to get Yahya Jammeh, the former Gambian president out of office after failing to win re-election.
“We had to go through those actions because it was the only option for Nigeria and ECOWAS,” he said.
Buhari recalled that in spite of all entreaties, the former President refused to accept the outcome of the election he superintended which was widely accepted as credible.
“We thank God for the role He allowed us to play in the Gambia. We believe in multi-party democracy. In Africa, it is absolutely necessary but for the system to work and one to come out of it clean, there is need for patience.
‘‘Patience on the part of leaders is also necessary in view of ethnic and religious diversities that prevail. Leaders must be patient, hardworking and resourceful,” he said.
Buhari said if African countries could get the institutional structures of democracy working properly, the continent would emerge from the process of development successfully.
He urged the Gambian leader to uphold the legacy of free and fair elections which he described as the biggest guarantee for democracy.
At the end of the meeting, the President announced that representatives of both countries will deliberate and advise the leaders on how best to strengthen the existing level of cooperation between the two states.
Barrow said he came to thank Nigeria and its leader in person for ensuring the completion of the democratic process in his country which had stalled back then following the refusal of Jammeh to accept the election results.
The Gambian leader said his country received the support of Nigeria in many spheres, citing education, administration, justice and security sectors and requested Buhari to continue to be of assistance.
“We will never forget Nigeria for the help it has rendered to us since independence,” the visiting Gambian leader said.

Here’s the transcript of the message for Nigeria by Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith World Outreach aka Winners Chapel. Recall he had over the weekend spoke about how herdsmen have been killing citizens and how dangerous it is.
Read:
Prophets have a duty to warn people, nation against impending danger.
I am sent as a prophet to the nation and God grants me access to divine confidentialities of nations.
I have this wake up call for a nation in a state of slumber.
Insurgency is spreading across the country under the guise of Fulani herdsmen. Danger is looming.
For example, how many of these killers have been brought to book since their campaign of carnage, death and destruction began, one may ask?
A nationwide crisis is in the offing than may be worse than anyone around knows.
Tell me the morality behind some strangers who are doing their business as cattle rearers overrunning your farm with your labour and graze their cattle on your crop and when you challenge them, they kill you.
Where are the leaders of thoughts in Nigeria? Where is the government and that continues unabated. We are sitting on a keg of gun powder. There is volatile reaction coming and God revealed this to me as far back as 1992, clearly written in my diary.
Nigeria shall not be destroyed. God shall trouble all that trouble the peace and progress of this nation.
The destiny of our nation has never been under the threat of survival as it is today. People may soon be forced to take the law into their hands. The security apparatus of the country has obviously failed to defend the property and lives of these poor farmers.
While we are claiming to be curtailing Boko Haram, we are on the other hand aiding and abetting herdsmen and their murderous acts.
Nigeria is a nation at war with ourselves. No external aggression from aggressors, no ethnic crisis, no natural disaster, yet we are doing mass burial. What a nation in a state of slumber.
Hear the voice of God through this prophet, the soul of Nigeria is near the point of death.
Citizens of these nation are fast becoming endangered species, God have mercy.
Let me ask these pertinent questions that borders on the conscience of a nation and its leaders.
Is cattle business government business?
Should farmers be killed for Fulani herdsmen to live?
Should all the farmers leave their farms today for fear of Fulani herdsmen?
As the last time I knew, Nigeria still produces less than 20 percent of what it consumes and ask me what it the contribution of herdsmen to the GDP of this country. What is come to this country?
There is more to this low response of government to addressing this issue which is definitely a time bomb
Does Nigerian land belong to Fulani herdsmen?
There has never been this kind of assault on the intelligence of the people like we are having now.
Should you allocate my father’s land to Fulani herdsmen? No.
Are they now the customary land owners of every state, town, cities, villages and hamlets in Nigeria?
There is danger in the offing; every community may soon set up their own security system to defend themselves against the insurgency of the Fulani herdsmen.
Can the citizens still trust the security agencies of this nation to protect them? You will be vulnerable for life.
When citizens cannot trust the security a state of anarchy is in view. Insurrection may also be on the way. These largely unchecked activities of the Fulani herdsmen may eventually choke the soul of Nigeria to death, God forbid.
Is Nigeria project still working?
Without justice there cannot be peace. You don’t step on my toes and say let’s have peace. We can’t have peace but exchange of blows.
Caution, let politicians be warned, don’t sell off the destinies of men for your ambitions.
True leaders mind the coming generations. Nigeria is rescued. Let no religious bigot say to me what is your concern?. By the grace of God, one out every 150 Nigerian is under my apostolic coverage. You are not a leader by elective office; you are a leader by the number of people you have responsibility for.
I am answerable to God on what happens to them. You can’t kill their fathers and mothers in the name of being in power. It is enough. When prophets speak God confirms it. These wicked forces will be visited by vengeance.Should you allocate my father’s land to Fulani herdsmen? No.

Is our sense of value for human lives still alive? I don’t know. What I know is that it is not alive.
Today human lives are now being slain for cattles without any drastic interventions from relevant security agents.
Should men and women continue to lay their lives down for cattles ?
There is no nation on the earth where the defense of cattle is more than the defense of human lives.
How are these killers making away with their murderous acts? They must have the backings of some powers that be. Any right thinking Nigerian will speculate same.
Is Boko haram not spreading strategically across the nation?
How many cows will a Fulani man sell to buy a AK47? which now cost about N3m a piece.
A cow, the fattest is N180-200,000. To buy five riffles, equals N15m.
You don’t hire security guard in a room and parlour. Some fellows supply these guns and you cannot tell how much stockpiles of arms they have.
Nigeria is becoming an endangered nation where any group of persons may attempt to overrun the nation. Caution, Caution, Caution Caution to everyone responsible for the affairs of this nation.
God has sent me to warn this nation, a flood of evil is at the door.
Kanye and Kim West have welcomed their third child, a baby girl via surrogacy.
Kim confirmed the news on her website, in a post titled, “She’s here!”
Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl,” Kardashian-West continues. “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”
This will be the couple’s third child together, joining four-year-old North and two-year-old Saint. The 37-year-old Kim was unable to carry the child herself, as a result of her open battle with a life-threatening condition known as placenta accreta, which complicated her birth with Saint West.
The newest baby comes at a busy time for the reality-star family, as younger sister Khloe Kardashian is pregnant with her first child, and conspiracy theories continue to surround Kylie Jenner’s rumored pregnancy with rapper Travis Scott.
Congratulations to Kim and Kanye on their growing family.
The Lagos state government today arraigned two young men, Rilwanu Jamiu and Balogun Oyewole, before Justice Sedoten Ogunsanya of the Lagos High Court, Igbosere for attempting to dupe the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, to the tune of N50 million.
The alleged fraudsters are being prosecuted on a three-count charge of possession of fraudulent document, impersonation and attempt to commit felony.
At the commencement of trial, the State Accountant General, Abimbola Shukurat Umar told the court how on February 10th 2016 she received a text message purportedly from the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, directing her to transfer the sum of N50 million to a designated Keystone Bank account.
Umar told the court that she found the message suspicious and highly irregular of the official accounting protocol. This prompted her to bring the message to the attention of the governor, who, after distancing himself from the message, ordered the immediate investigation of the matter.
The investigation led by the Department of State Security Service, DSS, led to the eventual arrest of the defendants.
The State Director of the DSS, Lagos State Command, Wale Odu, also gave his evidence during the trial.
In his statement, Mr Odu confirmed that investigation leading to the arrest of the defendants was conducted by his team. According to him, investigation revealed that the 2nd defendant is one of the directors and shareholders of the Clayder Limited to whose Keystone Bank account; the N50 million fraud money would have been paid.
The matter was later adjourned to Wednesday, 14 February 2018 for continuation of the trial, while the defendants were remanded at the Kirikiri Medium Security Prison.
A day cannot go by on social media, without you stumbling on the word, “Slay Queen.”.
Apparently, many folks on Social Media have their own definition of the word Slay Queen.. Many say it’s used to describe a successful lady.
While others are of the opinion that it should only be used to describe a “Fake Female”.

“Girls who do not have a wealthy background but appear as if they do. They use malicious acts to attain cash, drink expensive alcohol, procure expensive cellphones. But back at home she’s a chicken chaser.
You can spot them from a distance by their obnoxious and heavy rolling accent characterized by flat pronounciations of the letter “e”
Another Definition reads; “Young and naive girls who apparently do not date broke men. They spend hours on Snapchat and Instagram showing off things they don’t even own.”

After series of photos parading the social media space weeks after her coronation, Miss Abasiodiong Eyo, winner of Mr/Miss Akwa Ibom Teen, 2017/2018, has been dethroned by the Akwa Ibom State Teenagers Forum for releasing semi-nude photos on her birthday, CALABAR REPORTERS gathered.
The President of the Forum, Comrade Martins Jimmy, in a statement made available to IBOM REPORTERS said the organisation believes in maintaining high moral standards describing the attitude of the former Queen as infantile.
He maintained that the “semi-nude” photographs released by Miss Abasiodiong Eyo Inyang was entirely an exuberance of her own and never represented the views, positions, or primary focus of Akwa Ibom State Teenagers Forum, saying Miss Eyo must have been obsessed with the Miss Akwa Ibom Teen Crown given her on November 10, 2017.
His words, “That Miss Abasiodiong Eyo has been dethroned as the 2017 Queen of Akwa Ibom Teenagers Forum and excommunicated from the Forum, forthwith. Ours is a Forum, committed to raising the bar in pageantry, with high moral etiquettes, and as such, has zero tolerance for indiscipline in any form, whatsoever.
“That a new Queen, Miss Meggy Linus has been appointed and will be crowned within 48 hours of the Release. Miss Linus was the First Runner-up at the 2017 Edition of Mr/Miss Akwa Ibom Teen.”
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience the puerile behaviour of our former Queen may have caused the general public, while also urging social media users to refrain from tarnishing the image of Akwa Ibom Teenagers Forum,” he added.
Miss Abasiodiong Eno Inyang, Saturday, shocked fans and friends, when semi-nude photos of herself went viral on social media. The former Teen Queen left her chest bare in some photos, while smoking in another photo.
Nigerian singer, 9ice has gotten a brand new heavy tattoo on his arm and some of his fans are not really feeling the 38 year old singer’s on this new move.
The ’Alapomeji’ crooner shared a video of the process on his Instagram page and informed his fans that he is getting another one!
A few followers hailed him and even applauded his courage – but some others referred him back to his birth certificate and castigated him for following a trend not befitting of his age and status in the industry.
The singer’s beautiful ex wife, Toni Payne also dropped a comment that shows dissatisfaction and disappointment –
She wrote; “Oluwa oooo! This guy no dey hear word.”
However, 9ice was quick to enlighten his fans that the art of tattoo is not a trend but a tradition and culture belonging to his great grandfathers and as well cautioned his detractors to put sense into their comments.
He wrote:
“Tattoo is my great great grandfather tradition and culture. If you can’t bear the pain, don’t do it. If you can, why not?”
Don’t you just love a couple who have dated for quite a long time…
There have been several memes on Social as regards long-term courtship.. But Fara and Demi have stood the test tof time, as they’ve been dating since their high school days.
“Fara and Demi met in Secondary School. For them “it was love and fronting at first sight. Love for him, fronting for her.” 15 years after all the fronting and all the loving, he gathered the courage to ask her to do life with him and guess what?! She said yes (after a lot of drama)?” a mutual friend wrote.
Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has shown love and passion towards his one time sworn enemy, blogger and journalist, Kemi Omololu Olunloyo.
Recall the comedian and the controversial journalist got involved in a horrid social media drama, after Kemi alleged that Seyi’s daughter, Tiwa is Obese and diabetic.
Seyi immediately fired back at the blogger and described Olunloyo as someone who’s hating on his daughter. Then, some persons mediated in the online battle and both parties seemed to sheathe their swords.
But days later, Olunloyo made another post in which she insisted that Tiwaloluwa wasn’t healthy and that a relative of Seyi’s wife in London had told her that Tiwa indeed had Type 1 diabetes.
Anyway, thats by-gone now as both parties are now in good terms and has finally called a truce.
Well, Aunty Kemi who just got out of prison for the third time in a row, reported about her failing health and urged Nigerians to help her by contributing to her medical trust fund.
She has now taken to her Instagram page to break the news that Tiwa Lawrence, the daughter of Seyi Law had emptied her savings to help her meet her needs.
Kemi could not hide her joy as she prayed for the comedian and his family while thanking him profusely for the great help rendered to her.
She wrote:

The lingering marital drama between Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dkeh and her ex- husband has taken another twist as Mr. Olakunle Churchill has filed a Suit at the family court of the Lagos State Magistrate court. Thus, the Reality Show called “King Tonto” being produced by Linda Ikeji Media Limited and featuring King Andre cannot be released or aired.
This is said to be the first step to be taken by Mr. Churchill towards protecting his son’s rights as captured under the Child Rights Law of Lagos State.
Mr Churchill is of the opinion that featuring King in such a production is solely to exploit his son for financial gain, expose the life and times of the little boy at a period when he cannot make a decision for himself. As the Production is basically of adult content.
Yesterday, an unusual trend happened on the nigerian cyberspace and indeed the world over, as it was announced that Sex robots fused with Human Artificial intelligence had been rolled out and put up for sales, with one sex robot costing up to 800,000 Naira.
This drew reactions from many celebrities and Nigerians alike and brought about a new debate, whether these sex dolls were needed or not.
Some girls even went as far as posting pictures comparing themselves to sex dolls, claiming they were better than them.
Most notably, Nigerian Superstar singer reacted, claiming that it seemed the people who created the sex dolls and were selling it for that high amount, forgot the price of a commercial sex worker on the streets.
Wizkid tweeted;
Bazy say the people wey make sex doll… Be like dem no know how much olosho be for street.
Few days ago, there was a viral report that MALE sex robots with bionic penises will be rolled out this year, according to the pioneer of pleasure behind the popular female versions that dropped last year.
Matt McMullen, founder of Realbotix, is the man who created Harmony, an artificial intelligence app that syncs up with a robotic head system.
The application enables users to match an AI personality with a humanoid robot head, to create the most realistic sex doll imaginable.
Harmony allowed the android companions to talk, learn and satisfy customer’s sexual desires. Currently there are only only female versions of Harmony avatars and robotic heads – and they cost around £11,000 (5 million naira), but Matt thinks there is a demand for male versions.
Prophet Wisdom Ojenanmuo of Spiritual Leader of World Solution Centre Abuja, has made a number of bold prophecies for 2018… and it got us all shook!
He made the predictions while delivering a sermon at his Ministry’s Special Anointing Service for 2018. He said God told him that pope Francis may die this year if the church doesn’t pray for him.
On terrorism, he predicted the capture of Boko Haram leader between July and August and an escalation in the activities of Fulani herdsmen.
He had bad news for Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha. The prophet says he will lose grip of Imo state and be removed as its Chief Executive as a result of the mounting resentment of the people towards the policies of his administration.
It’s not all doom and gloom however as he forecasted a positive economic outlook saying the naira will trade at 185 to the dollar. He said:
“The downfall of Boko Haram is at hand. Between July and August this year, the insurgents will totally surrender their weapons. Their most wanted leader will be apprehended but won’t be killed and this will lead to the crackdown of the terrorist group.
“However, we should pray seriously against the new form of terrorism rearing its ugly head through armed herdsmen. There will be a lot of weapons, massacre, and excessive bloodshed, if they are not contained.
“We should pray for the Catholic Pope. I am seeing him slumping and he may not survive it. This will lead to division in the Catholic Church which is not a good omen.
The economy this year will be better. God has answered our prayers on the economy. It will be better this year as the Naira will appreciate in value to exchange against the Dollar at about N185.”
In the first week of the year, there was a drama on social media about an aggrieved bride who called out a Nigerian designer, Maryam Elisha of RikatoByMe, for giving out her wedding reception dress to actress Mercy Aigbe for her 40th birthday photoshoot.
Although it was reported that all the parties involved, later apologized and resolved the issue amicably, it turns out we just might not have heard the last from the Red dress Brouhaha, because the said bride has taken legal action against the fashion designer and is demanding compensation
