If you are an avid follower of Davido on social media, you’d see how well he has been professing his love for his new girl, Chioma.
The latest was when his hypeman, Specialspesh welcomed a baby boy, and he was quite “upset”, not literally, that spesh beat him to having a boy, and as thus, he requested a baby boy from his new girl, Chioma.. not forgetting he has two babymamas already, who both gave him girls.
The singer was recently pictured with Chioma at a night club. He was of course with his crew members, in the picture we could spot, DJ Ecool with whom the singer dropped a massive banger, titled ADA, and his manager, Asika.

In a 2015 joint interview with Punch, Delectable Actress and mother of 3, has revealed how she met her husband, how he proposed, how his honesty/truthfulness gets her mad, and why she can never cheat plus how she trusts her husband with the whole of her heart.
Read excerpts below:
How did you meet each other? Odi: I met Mercy for the first time in 2008 on a flight from France. We both flew Business Class and I asked for her number but she refused. She was very down-to-earth even as a celebrity. I know how a lot of them behave but she is different. Being very focused and a go-getter, I did everything I could just to have her including her number after I set my eyes on her.
Mercy: After the flight episode, he came around to Surulere where I was getting my hair done at a saloon. Somehow, he had gotten my number and we spoke. We talked and later had dinner.
Was it a case of love at first sight for both of you? Odi: Yes, it was. I realised in no time that she is homely and everyone who comes in contact with her just loves her.
Mercy: I love his personality and I am in love with everything about him. He knew I was an actress but he didn’t know I was that popular. I remember the very first day I got to his house, he asked someone to buy some condiments for me to prepare soup for him. Then, I said, ‘You must be joking, my name is Mercy Johnson’ and all he said was, ‘I know.’ That simple action drew me closer to him.
How did he propose? Mercy: During a conversation, he suggested that we take our relationship to the next level. While we were dating, I knew we would get married because he became a part of my life and we were very passionate about each other. There was a day we attended a wedding and he said, ‘I think our wedding cake should have a tint of this colour.’
Mercy Johnson Kids.
Any jitters when you were going to meet his parents for the first time? Mercy: I met his parents on our third date and his mum liked me— she is a fan of my movies.
Were you prepared for the attention that comes with being married to a celebrity when you decided to marry her? Odi: Yes I was. As a matter of fact, she was a star when I met her but not as big as she is right now. I have decided to remain on the quiet side and watch her excel in her career and I am extremely proud of her.
Was he comfortable with your movie roles? Mercy: He wasn’t comfortable with the romantic scenes. I stopped taking up such roles in 2009 when I realised we were getting serious and headed for marriage. I was so in love with him that I started adjusting my lifestyle and personality to suit him. He is enlightened and well-travelled. He understands the demands of my job and has no problems with my career. He simply gives me space to fly.
What sacrifices did you make for your marriage to work?
Mercy: I learnt how to speak his language, Ishan, in less than a year. It wasn’t difficult for me because I was crazy about him. I bought CDS and Ishan literature and my husband also spoke the language to me whether I understood or not. I also wanted to be part of the discussions as well.
It didn’t take me up to five months and I already knew the basics before we wedded. Also, I cut down on my unclad dresses. He made me understand that with age, you have to let go of certain things because life is a phase.
Do you watch her movies? Odi: No. That is because I don’t really have time to watch Nollywood movies. I would rather watch the news and a little bit of soccer whenever my busy schedule permits me.
How do keep the spark burning in your union with the birth of your children? Odi: We crack a lot of jokes and play together because she is my best friend. I confide in her always and she is also supportive of me as well. We go to quiet places together and also attend family engagements. With the birth of our kids, I haven’t loved her any less; in fact I call her my daughter.
Mercy: I buy funny cards, which I slip into his pockets, and then he would jokingly remind me about the fact that I have two children. I also dress skimpily in bum shorts and parade in the room whenever he is around.
What attribute do you admire the most in your spouse? Odi: My wife is an extension of myself and vice versa. When I met her, she was not a strong Christian but now I can say she is stronger than I am. She does all the praying for the family and I am very proud of her.
Mercy: It is hard to choose because Odi is the human definition of perfection, I can’t explain it. He completes and makes me a better person in all ramifications. I might have made a lot of errors if I hadn’t met him—I see some of my old pictures and cannot believe I dressed skimpily. You may think you are living the career but you are making errors. Our daughter, Purity, will grow up someday and see those things and I will have a lot of explanations to make.
What do you not like about your wife? Odi: Absolutely nothing. She does everything I like and that has kept us strong.
Mercy: My husband is too truthful and that gets me upset sometimes. He doesn’t pretend at all.
Why did you name your daughter Purity? Odi: My wife has a heart of gold—she is kind and pure. She is without blame or blemish. I decided to name her after the qualities I see in her mum.
How do you handle disagreements? Odi: We hardly disagree but since we wedded, I don’t think we have had any reason to invite a third party. We play a lot and handle issues maturely.
Mercy: He apologises in funny ways. Since I had the baby, whenever he offends me, he will play a particular CD and then teases me. He simply does things that make me laugh.
Do you run a joint account? Mercy: He is concerned about the welfare of the family and has been like that from the outset of our relationship. While we were dating, he would give me money to make my hair and buy make-up irrespective of the fact that I also earn my own money. He does things that every husband should do for his wife. It was his idea. I am the sole signatory but my money is not in the account.
Odi: I love her dearly and I just want her to be independent and have access to funds whenever she desires without my permission.
You wedded at the peak of your career. Was it a difficult decision to make? Mercy: A lot of people asked me this question when I was getting married but at that point in my life, there was nothing too big to let go, even now. I am willing to let go of everything to be with him and be happy. I am not in competition with anybody.
I want to be married, I want to be with a man, just the way God has asked it be. I don’t want to take his role as a helper. He is an introvert and can stay at home all day when he isn’t working but I am the extrovert and we complement each other perfectly.
Odi: My wife has maintained a good reputation in the industry by the grace of God and I played a little role as her husband.
What is the most memorable moment in your marriage? Odi: We celebrated our last wedding anniversary and her birthday at the Virginia Beach in the USA. It was a very good time together.
Prior to your wedding, an ugly incident threatened the existence of your union… Odi: It was quite unfortunate. We thank God that we are happy and everything is well. Some people always say that our marriage will not last. Truth is, our love is built on the solid rock of Christ and based on that, we will keep waxing stronger.
What are some of the lessons learnt from the incident? Odi: I learnt a lot and only people who are close to me know my story. The propaganda was from people who do not know my family or me. What God has joined together, no man can put asunder.
Did it test the strength of your love for your husband? Mercy: Yes, it did and I did not lose any friends because I never really had any. I got to understand the mindset of people who believe it is hard for you to be happy for someone when you don’t have what they have. They criticize what you have, yet they pray everyday for it. It taught me to always think of myself first because people will always have opinions.
What has marriage taught you? Mercy: Patience and it has changed everything about me— this is a brand new me. It is possible that my husband attends a party and my movie is being shown. I have to do things that represent him well at all times. Ever since I had my daughter, I learned to appreciate other children and humanity the more. My husband and children are top on my priority list at the moment and acting is secondary. I would let go of everything for them.
Do you have similar friends? Mercy: I don’t have friends at all and Odi is my best friend. As a policy, I never lie to my husband that is why I can’t hide anything from him. We have acquaintances but no close friends.
Can you cheat on your spouse? Mercy: Never! Moreso, I have absolute trust in him.
Odi: God forbid that I do such.
What does Valentine and love mean to you as a couple? Odi: Love means Mercy. We plan to have a quiet outing and take my family out to dinner. If I have any reason to love, then I must love her over and again in my lifetime.
Mercy: God is love but if I have to give love a second definition, I would say, love is Odi.

In the divorce case between a sexagenarian, Mr Muyili Oshode, and his wife, Ibidunni, the Igando Customary Court in Lagos State on Monday dissolved the 44-year marriage on the ground that the wife turned her husband into an impotent person.
The court’s president, Mr Akin Akinniyi, delivering his judgment said the petitioner was adamant despite all mediation from the court and family intervention.
“Since the petitioner insisted on divorce after several interventions, the court has no choice than to dissolve the union in spite of the fact that the wife still claims she loves her husband.
“The court pronounced the marriage between Mr Muyili Oshode and Mrs Ibidunni Oshode dissolved today, both parties, henceforth, ceased to be husband and wife.
“Both are free to go their separate ways without any hindrances and molestation,” Akinniyi ruled.
The petitioner had earlier told the court that his wife was fetish.
“My wife is fetish, she patronised many herbalists and she had used her diabolical power to paralyse my manhood for me not to be able to marry or impregnate another woman.
“In fact, my manhood no longer stands erect nor functions,” he said.
The 66-year-old mechanic said his wife was threatening his life with a view to killing him.
“I saw Ibidunni in my dream poisoning my food so that she can inherit my property,” the estranged husband said.
The petitioner said his wife was not taking care of him and that when he was sick, she went to stay in a church instead of attending to him.
Oshode said Ibidunni was promiscuous, having an affair with a man called “Alaga” and she used to cook for the man in his house.
“I saw the man in my dream telling me that Ibidunni belonged to him that I should back out,” he said.
According to him, Ibidunni is a bad cook; her food is either watery or salty.
He begged the court to terminate the union that he was no longer interested.
“Please, court, dissolve this loveless marriage before Ibidunni kills me,” he said.
However, his wife, Ibidunni, denied all the allegations, she said that she never turned her husband into an impotent person.
“I am a Christian; I never patronised any herbalists. I do not know what is responsible for his manhood, he should ask his concubines,” the respondent said.
The 63-year-old tailor said she never poisoned her husband’s food.
“What do I stand to gain if I kill the father of my children, he believed so much in dreams,” she said.
Ibidunni said she was not promiscuous that it was her husband who had many concubines.
She said that she cared for her husband that he was the one that refused to care for her.
“My husband abandoned me and the children for many years without caring for us.
“I worked at construction sites with bricklayers for me to feed the children and pay their school fees,” she said.
The mother of six pleaded with the court not to grant her husband’s wish for the dissolution of the marriage, saying she still love her husband.

In the last 10 years, it has become fashionable for Nigerian big boys – rich in themselves or children of highly moneyed men or just plain upwardly mobile gentlemen- to use superbikes, popularly called powerbikes, as symbols of class.
With loud noises to draw attention anytime they pass by, it is common to see these young men on the streets of Lagos, Abuja and other cities. While some get customised number-plates for their machines, some get general numbers. The bikes move at top speed, as much as 350 km/h, to the fascination or shock of onlookers.
Not that the bikes are more usually more expensive than an average car, but it appears the men enjoy the attention – or it is just plain hobby. The prices range to N400,000 to as much as N5million, depending on the capacity of the machine.
Some of them have formed bike clubs and ride bikes across cities in Nigeria, some to neighbouring countries like Niger Republic and Ghana, for fun, for adventure.
Unfortunately, bike accidents have claimed the lives of some of these bikers.
Some of the Nigerian “big boys” who have died as a result of bike accidents include:-
1. Tonye Boma Claude-Wilcox
Tonye was an oil and gas magnate and CEO of Petroleum Brokers Limited, an oil and gas company. He was a bike lover and had fun with the machine while it lasted. He was rich enough to hire private jet to Calabar to attend the event he wanted to attend but chose to bike it.
He crashed his bike at Ihiala, Anambra state, on his way to Calabar from Lagos to attend the burial of the father of another biker friend. He was riding in a group of 5 when he crashed the bike against a vehicle.
He died instantly. He was in his mid-40s. No less personality than CEO of Oando did obituary for him in the newspapers. He was that big.
2. Femi Segun
In 2014, Femi, son of popular writer, Mabel Segun, died at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, from spinal cord injuries he sustained from the crash of his power bike.
The accident occurred inside Millennium Estate in Lekki on his way to pick his son from school. He died one week later. Femi was an ace broadcaster and diplomat.

3. Mohammed Bashir Dalhatu
Son of prominent politician and former Minister of Power, Mohammed Bashir Dalhatu, died at 34 in 2012. He died in a crash while riding from Uyo, where he had gone for a bikers conference, to Abuja, where he lived.
He rode in bike while his driver rode his car behind him. At a point in Delta state, he fell off the bike and was crushed by oncoming vehicles. He died instantly.
4. Abba Isa
Abba worked in an oil and gas company in Lagos. The bike-loving gentleman died this weekend after he crashed his bike around Lekki in Lagos.
5. Jamiu Jamiu
Jamiu was a young entrepreneur that used his powerbike, not for fun like most others, but for business. He was a budding entrepreneur and CEO of H2 Chicken, a startup with focus on delivering chickens to customers.
He died when his bike was hit by a truck at Igbo Efon roundabout, Lekki, Lagos on October 29, 2015. He was 29.
Even with all the condemnations that have followed the United States President Donald Trump’s description of African nations as ‘shithole countries,’ an Enugu cleric, Pastor Polycarp Ugwu, on Sunday said there was nothing wrong with the remark.
Pastor Polycarp Ugwu.
According to The Punch, President Trump reportedly used the words “shithole countries” to describe Haiti, El Salvador and African countries in response to plans by the U.S. lawmakers to restore protection for immigrants from those places.
The development has drawn the ire of some African countries as well as the African Union, whose spokeswoman, Ebba Kalondo, reminded Trump that many Africans arrived in the U.S. as slaves, adding that Trump’s profane statement “flies in the face of all accepted behaviour and practice.”
But Ugwu, the General Overseer and Founder of The Voice of Freedom Fellowship International, an Enugu-based church, on Sunday commended Trump for the ‘frank and truthful’ comment.
Preaching at a church service in Enugu on Sunday, Ugwu said, “Donald Trump is the only leader who can tell African leaders the bitter truth as he does not care about political correctness.
“Trump has told us the truth and instead of crying over it or telling him to apologise, we should look at ourselves and tell ourselves the truth.”
Noting that the U.S. President’s remarks was ‘in the best interest’ of African nations, the pastor observed that African leaders had, over the years, squandered the wealth of the continent through carelessness, corruption and the lack of good leadership.
“Are we not worse than Trump’s assessment?” he queried.
Speaking on the theme, ‘Wisdom for enlargement,’ Ugwu lambasted Nigerian leaders for wasting the country’s abundant natural resources.
Ugwu said, “When God talked about a land flowing with milk and honey, I think he was referring to Nigeria. This is because in this nation, we have resources in abundance but what have our leaders done with these things?
“Look at Britain, Dubai and Singapore and others that have nothing and see how backward we are as a nation.”
He added, “Do you know the amount of mineral deposits in Ebonyi, Enugu, North Central and all over Nigeria? Everybody wants to escape to the U.S. and other nations because our own nation is truly a shithole country.
“We have wasted what we have; we have wasted our resources because we don’t plan.”
Ugwu urged Christians to “avoid the life of waste” by appreciating and making optimal use of what God had given to them instead of complaining about what they did not have.
United States President, Donald Trump, has denied that he is racist, after a row broke out over his alleged use of the word “shithole” to describe African nations.
Mr Trump reportedly used the term last week during a bipartisan Oval Office meeting on immigration reform.
He has now told journalists:
“I am not a racist. I’m the least racist person you have ever interviewed.”
It is the first time the President has responded directly to the racism accusations, the BBC reports.
He made the denial to White House press pool reporters at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach in Florida on Sunday night.
The row broke out after lawmakers from both parties visited the President on Thursday to work on a proposal for a bipartisan immigration deal.
In recent weeks the Trump administration has been withdrawing Temporary Protected Status (TPS) from a number of nationalities currently living in the country.
Reports later emerged in U.S media that Mr. Trump had asked during the meeting: “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?”
Mr. Trump was said to have told them that instead of granting temporary residency to citizens of countries hit by natural disasters, war or epidemics, the U.S should be taking in migrants from countries like Norway.
Nigerian Clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman in a sermon in his church on Sunday preached against the herdsmen killings around the country.
The Senior Pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries rained curses on people who are reportedly sponsoring the various attacks being carried out in some parts of the country.
He said the prayer while reacting to the killings that have been recorded in some parts of the country. In his sermon, he prayed that the sponsors of those behind the killings suffer great losses up to their 7th generation.

“Kpete Wicked” is produced by Jay Pizzle and the video is directed by Tee Tash. The video shot in Toronto, Canada, showcases Skales adorned in colourful floral prints, celebrating with bottles of champagne.
The Federal Government has summoned the United States ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, over the derogatory remarks by President Donald Trump.
Trump had in a fit lambasted immigrants, stating that they were coming from ‘shithole’ countries, a statement that annoyed many concerned nations and generated serious criticisms from the African Union and others.
Symington is expected to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama later today.
This Morning, a video showing a Lady proposing to her boyfriend at a mall went viral, and here’s an update according to a Facebook user, Christy Glo.
Though we have been trying everything possible to get across the heartbroken lady in question, but all our efforts have been futile.
But now, Christy Glo is claiming she’s friends to the girl, and she’s revealed the man whispered to the lady’s ear, “I am already married”.
She wrote on her Facebook;
“This lady is actually my friend, but not close friends and we just spoke on phone… She said the reason she cried bitterly after her boyfriend rejected her marriage proposal in public was that when he came close and whispered into her ears, he actually said he was already married. My question is why are men this wicked and heartless? Tufiakwa.”

This video of a man, presumably Nigerian, who rejected his girlfriend’s proposal has been making rounds on social media… It’s gone viral already, and all we really feel sad for the lady.
Well, the beautiful lady who might have waited for him to pop the question, took it upon herself to do “the proposal” inside a mall.
In the video, the man who appeared shocked, hugged her and walked away without taking her ring.
But, the young lady who couldn’t hold back her feelings of heartbreak, wept profusely after the rejection.
Watch the Video:
Below are some comments on Social Media:
“God will punish that guy, If you try that with me, I’ll bring out a gun from my bag, and shoot you in your manhood straight”.
Precious Chukwudi: This should serve as lesson to girls…. U think cos we are in 21st century u can now become a man and do his job babe ur job is to work urself, build and empower yourself… Make urself a meaningful woman… Men will find u come u don’t have to look for them because your grace as woman is noticeable… God bless all the ladies waiting patiently and not taking laws into their hands.
Angel Kelechi: No matter what the society has turned to i still insist this is a man’s job. Leave it for them.
Chydo Lawrence: Babe I love your courage but in as much as we’re in a more civilized society, please it’s a guy’s job to propose to a lady!
Well girls have been rejecting marriage proposals too. So this doesn’t make a difference, you’d have hired some guys that will be shouting “say yes, say yes, in the background. He felt embarrassed and shy. Real men don’t like to be put through in that feminine situation.
Larry Okezie: I love her courage sha. Buh she should have done it in private at least to avoid any sort of embarrassment. “I STAND WITH HER”
Anonymous: Proposing is not a women thing in this part of the world but for her to express herself to a guy it means she loves you ?and she’s not ashamed about it.
That guy is immature, just consider it a gift or would you have walked out if this was a surprise birthday party or if she surprised you with your favorite things?
As a gentle man He should have accepted, tell her to get up give her a hug and whisper in her ear in public even if you don’t want or it came as a surprise you can return it back or scold her privately don’t disgrace her like that in public it’s wrong! value and respect your women.
She loved you more than anyone to take that bold step.
Victor E J Marshall: The truth is, He is not ready for her.. He does not value her. If he was in love with her he wouldn’t have left her hanging.. It would have been fun for him if he was in love with her n had her in mind. Receive her proposal n reciprocate it in your on way n time, it’s just wisdom. Too bad
Ricky Chidi: Let’s stop copying everything westerners do. Why would you propose to a man, not even in secret but in a public place like this.
Hmmm wake up girl , this is Africa not America, stop copy copy and embrace your culture. A man is supposed to make the bold step not the other way round. Even if you want to, you should know the kind of man you’re doing that to. How can u shock a Nigerian man like this in shop rite… Ah ah hanty
Mcquin Handsum Marquis: Well I don’t blame her… I like her courage… but how could a guy just disgrace he’s gf and himself publicly… if the guy love her he should have accepted the ring.. it doesn’t mean u re automatically married.. and when he get home he can tell her he doesn’t want her .. de girl must have trust him enough for her to do that… well I just felt pity for the girl… just saying my mind sha…. my own proposal would be inside my bedroom… I can’t fit shout oo
Olu Michael: Lol… Did it pain you girls?? ?
When a girl will turn down a guy’s proposal.. You will say she’s not ready and should not be forced into marriage…the Guy was not ready for marriage as well Na.. Shey Una Don see how en dey pain now abi
Betty Derby: We must be careful with the people we are rolling with and claiming to be out boyfriends and girlfriends. Most of them ain’t real It really hurts knowing your spouse is ur all but they got other people they planning future with, it really hurts wen not loved back but it’s never the end tho hmmmnn??? speaking from experience.
Anozie Jessica: Too bad but what if he accepted, who will pay her bride price ?because I guess any guy that proposes to a lady is ready for marriage and has the Money for dowry….. So my sister hope u hv the money to pay?
Nwobu Chukwuemeka Samuel: What a man can do, a woman can do even better… The guy isn’t really sure he wants to settle with her.. I will gladly accept if my current girlfriend proposes to me..
Obaje Rita: All those ladies planning to do so.. This a very good example for you… We Nigerians we have culture and traditions and it has values… Please it stop this nonsense all in the name of civilization.. Our mothers never proposed to our fathers… Please let stop this nonsense. Happy New week
Nigerian Comedian, I Go Dye has taken to social media to pen down a great advise to the Nigerian Police Force – telling them what to focus on at the moment.
He took to his Instagram page to speak on the malaise of Fulani herdsmen currently affecting some states in Nigeria – asking who the real herdsmen are?…
He wrote:
“THE POLICE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING PRO- ACTIVE MEASURES TO ARREST HERDSMEN WITH AK47 BY INVESTIGATING THEIR SOURCE OF WEAPONRY, BUT THEY ARE BUSY HARRASING GUYS WITH LAPTOPS AND PHONE’S WHO ARE THE REAL HERDSMEN ?
A group of civilian’s who have been employed by the untouchables and elites have become a national problem.Logically, the principal takes responsibility for the flaws and successes of the agent,so in this premise who are the owners’ of the cattle and the herdsmen. An Ak 47 rifle is estimated at over a million Naira, so how does these herdsmen walking across the country afford it?
The elites should own up to their mistakes.
In solving this problem there should be a disarming of all those working for the real herdsmen. An assessment of all those involved should be done, there after, licensing and identification informations should be taken. This will aid the process of knowing those involved in any of such casualties.
In addressing this issue, the protection of lives and property is paramount and one cannot comprehend why security agencies have failed to put an end to it. Majority of Nigerians will continue to blame the president, because he has a responsibility to protect the lives of every citizen in this country. Moreover, as one of those who have a cattle ranch, it is expected that he should do everything possible to address this issue. We cannot continue to expand the responsibilities on our military because of internal problems, the Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba, Ijaw and Igbo man or any other ethnic tribe is not our problem. Nigeria is a blessed country; our fundamental problem is instigated on us by our various leaders across the six geopolitical zones, whose actions are responsible for our present situation, the youth should not allow themselves to be used as instruments of violence.
I will earnestly recommend that the process of expanding the cooperation of stake holders to provide land for ranches should be advanced, because we cannot continue to have cattles moving on our roads, feeding on the farms of innocent Nigerians, who have been traumatized by the ill actions of the employers of the herdsmen. I am still wondering who are the real herdsmen?”

A lady has taken to twitter to narrate how a man allegedly beat his wife to death because she gave him a small fish .
Read a compilation of her tweets below ;
Just heard a very devastating news now. My tenant’s sister was beaten to death by her husband because she gave him small fish!!!!!! Some men are mad!!! I mean very mad!!!
So actually, this is not the first time he had been beating her, but she never told anyone. She had different scars on her body ranging from broken bottles to cutlass marks. I mean why endure such madness??? Why???? ?
She actually reported to the police station the night she was beaten, where she was rushed to the hospital from. Scan showed broken limbs and blunt injuries especially her kidney. Like how do you beat your wife and damage her kidney. How????!!
While reacting, a user, Kay wrote ;
This is so sad but the truth is, you can only help someone who wants to be helped. You can only save someone who wants to be saved. The society we’ve found ourselves has made alot of women to sit still and endure abuse so that they won’t be tagged as “marital failures”. ☹️
