16-year-old Alero Eyesan, the young lass who was stabbed on New Year’s Eve by a young man identified simply as Osama in Sapele, Delta State, has reportedly died this morning.

Reports online have it that after the lass allegedly refused his advances, Osama laid ambush on her on the night of December 31 and stabbed her on the thigh.

A new update concerning her revealed that her sepsis had spread rapidly and the efforts of the doctors on her went void as she gave up the ghost this morning.

The Dr’s tried all they could, but the sepsis had spread very fast all over her body because she was left unattended to since the 31st of last month. Its a painful and pathetic situation, but God knows the best. May her soul rest in perfect peace”

Yusuf Buhari, the son of Nigeria’s President who was critically injured during a drag-racing motorbike accident in Gwanripa neighborhood in Abuja last December will be heading to Germany for further medical treatment.

Saharareporters had revealed that Yusuf could not immediately be airlifted outside Nigeria due to the severity of injuries to his brain.

Saharareporters confirmed that Yusuf will be transferred tonight to St. Josefs Hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany where he will receive comprehensive treatment that my last for weeks.

Yusuf will be accompanied by his mother, Aisha Buhari, the daughter of the President, Mrs. Halima Buhari-Sheriff, the personal physician to the first lady, Dr. Kamal Mohammed and three other aides.

Medical sources said Yusuf had remained largely unresponsive to treatment at Cedarcrest Hospital where he was first taken after the bike accident in Abuja.

South African Police said they are on the lookout for a man with severely injured genitalia who allegedly raped a pregnant woman, who bit him in self-defence.

Local police spokesman Leonard Hlathi told newsmen on Wednesday that the woman, who was in the third month of her pregnancy, was raped at knife point.

“She was rape in front of her young child after she hitched a lift with two men in eastern Mpumalanga province.

“One of the men forcefully raped her at knife point in front of her child,’’ a police statement read.
The crime occurred on Monday.

“The woman managed to bite the private part of the man, who ran away after the ordeal,’’ it added.

Police, however, appealed to all health institutions to contact the authorities if they find a man with “an injured private part.”

The police also put out a tweet on their official account calling for information on the case.

Hlathi told newsmen that in spite of his bad injuries, the man had managed to flee.

“It is not the first time that men bitten on the genitals have managed to escape,’’ he said.

He said that the woman is being treated by a psychologist, and noted that in South Africa “sexual offence cases are high.”

South Africa recorded a total of 39,828 rapes in 2016 to 2017, an average of around 109 per day.

However, the figures may be even higher, with think tank Africa Check warning that rape may be under-reported.

A 27-year-old man identified as Aliyu Yahuza has died after a bulletproof charm he got from a native medicine seller in Katsina State, failed to work.

Reports are that the young man died while testing the efficacy of the bulletproof charm.

The native medicine seller, identified as Usman Saidu, has been remanded in prison custody in connection with the death of Yahuza.

According to report, the deceased was said to have drunk a ‘bullet-repelling’ concoction prepared by Saidu, who assured him that he could not die from gunshot.

The 42-year-old native doctor has been charged with criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide and will be in the prison custody till February 22, 2018 when his case would come up for mention before a senior magistrate, Hajiya Falila Dikko.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Sani Ado, who read the First Information Report on the incident to the hearing of the court on Tuesday, said, “Saidu was given a dane gun to test the reliability of the charm, but when he fired a shot at Yahuza’s chest, he fell down and died on the spot.

“The victim was taken to the General Hospital, Dustinma, where he was confirmed dead by doctors”.

The police said Saidu acted contrary to sections 97 and 222(7) of Penal Code Code. Ado, however, said investigation was still in progress and prayed for an adjournment which the court granted.
