Nollywood actress and business woman Liz Anjorin has finally revealed one of her biggest secrets concerning her faith and belief.
The beautiful filmmaker who used to be known as a Christian, suddenly shifted from being a believer to a Moslem about five years ago raising speculations that a man made her change her faith and religion.
Although She refuted the claims that she was dumping Christianity for a man, she never really revealed the real reasons behind her huge decision.
However, the actress has now taken to her Instagram page to reveal her reasons for the religious interchange.
According to her, her mother was born into a Muslim home but married Christian, however when poverty struck and they became homeless, they sought refuge in churches, sleeping in different churches at night and automatically, they be smelling believers.
“When my mom died, more than ten churches rejected her corpse for burial” the actress said. Despite her desperation and sorrow and the looming nationwide strike ahead, plus her mother’s instructions, she couldn’t find a church to help her.
The actress however found one, but there were ‘things’ involved which she didn’t share.
“Through it all, it was the faith I rejected that stood by me, prayed for my mom’s corpse, performed only the necessary rites while the church only gave us burial space after much fuss”
After this, the actress pledged to go to Hajj and she’s been a Moslem ever since contrary to claims that a man changed her heart and faith.
Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Tuesday said that he washed dead bodies as a youth to pay his tuition fees while schooling abroad, the Governor said this at a South-West Youths Regional Summit in Osogbo.

“I left Nigeria in 1963 to study abroad, but throughout my stay there, I was washing dead bodies to support myself to go to school.
“Whenever I got home from work, I will be weeping, remembering the number of dead bodies I washed. My boss at work then said I should not be afraid or fear, adding that such feeling is normal for first comers.
“He encouraged me to always see those dead bodies as iced fish.
“But against all odds, I survived and that is why I am urging youths to see hard work as the only way to success. My boss at work then said I should not be afraid or fear, adding that such feeling is normal for first comers.

Mercy Aigbe’s 40th Birthday Photoshoot’s red dress cause a serious drama on Social media within the past weeks now, and it all involved a scorned newly-wed bride, a designer, Maryam and the actress herself, even though the latter has been silent, not until now. [Read HERE]
While the matter went from bad to worse with different versions from the bride and the the designers, the actress had held her peace aggravating the anger of Nigerians who really needed her to either apologize to the bride or simply tell her side of the story.
Well, the beautiful actress has finally shared a side of the story – telling how the dress came about.
According to the statement she released, she never met the designer in person but transacted through her stylist who got four dresses from her.
“She never told us one of the dresses was for someone else” Mercy said, backing up the claims of her stylist and contradicting the claims of the designer who swore it was a dispatch error at the same time, tagging the designer as a greedy business woman.
She wrote:
“I have followed events as they unfold following a particular dress I wore for a photoshoot. First, I must say that I sincerely sympathise with the bride as this situation is painful, unfortunate and regrettably avoidable.
I hired and paid Seun @styledbyseun for the photoshoot as a stylist and got four dresses for the shoot. Seun and I were unaware that one of the dresses was meant for someone else.
I am embarrassed that the designer was not professional enough in handling events leading to this moment. It is also painful that a bride is made to go through what the bride has been made to go through. I have reached out to both the stylist and designer (whom I have never met nor HIRED directly) to express my displeasure. I have instructed my lawyer to look into this and see how best to approach this from a legal point of view without festering an already open wound. Thanks.”
In the meantime, the actress disabled comments so her fans can keep their thoughts to themselves and not cause a roar over the issue…
Controversial Nigerian journalist, Ms. Kemi Olunloyo has finally regained her freedom after spending almost 90 days in Port harcourt prison.
The controversial journalist’s ordeal started sometime in March 2017 – she’d allegedly defamed a famous Port Harcourt cleric and Nollywood actress – and since then, the 53 year old Blogger and Journalist had been a frequent visitor at the Port Harcourt prisons after she was detained for over two months.
Aunty Kemi had written about getting feelers from close sources on the alleged intimate relationship between the Pastor, David Ibiyeomie and actress Iyabo Ojo – this wasn’t business as usual… as the article had landed her in prison!
Later on, she was bailed more than two months after she was picked up from her home in Ibadan and according to her, the defamation case was far from over.
All seemed to go well, as she went on about her social media critique business until October 12 when she had exclaimed to her internet fans and Nigerians in general, that she had to go to court again and from the look of things she would have to stay another night at the court prison.
She made it clear then that she felt unsafe and that was the last we heard of Aunty Kemi Omololu Olunloyo!
Well, Aunty Kemi is free now, and she took to Instagram to share a video of herself thanking her fans and most especially, Charly Boy for his endless effort towards her freedom.
She wrote:
“#BREAKING I have been released from Port Harcourt maximum prison for the third time in 12 months. To the Federal government of Nigeria, pls decongest #PHMax. Our young #Igbo #Ogoni #Ikwere #Calabar #AkwaIbom males are all LOCKED UP and not fed adequately. Many wasting away with skin and health problems. The Federal Ministry of Interior needs to intervene FAST! Special thanks to @areafada1 and #ourmumudondo movement which I helped launch @tvcconnect Dec 13th 2016.”
NIgerian urban life singer, Adekunle Gold who quit his job as a brand manager for a social media brand activation company in 2014 to focus on his music, was barely getting recognition in the industry until he got noticed by YBNL, owned by Olamide.
But since signing to YBNL in 2015, which he quit a year later after his deal expired, Adekunle Gold has not only become a household name, he has been able to create his own unique sound with a large fan base.
Speaking in a recent interview, the ‘Sade’ singer recalled that his first trip outside the shores of the country was thanks to Olamide.
He said:
“YBNL moved me. I had Sade before YBNL and it was already getting popular. When I got signed to the label, we shot the video and it became like a sensation everywhere. Getting signed to YBNL took me to London for the first time. That was in 2015. So, YBNL changed everything for me. I am grateful to Olamide for all the support and inspiration”
When asked on the project he is currently working on, the singer said a new sophomore album is in the works and is slated for release first quarter of 2018.
A 27-year-old man identified as Aliyu Yahuza has died after a bulletproof charm he got from a native medicine seller in Katsina State, failed to work.
Reports are that the young man died while testing the efficacy of the bulletproof charm.
The native medicine seller, identified as Usman Saidu, has been remanded in prison custody in connection with the death of Yahuza.
According to report, the deceased was said to have drunk a ‘bullet-repelling’ concoction prepared by Saidu, who assured him that he could not die from gunshot.
This claim proved to be fatally wrong as Yahuza died on the spot after he presented himself to be shot with a Dane
The 42-year-old native doctor has been charged with criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide and will be in the prison custody till February 22, 2018 when his case would come up for mention before a senior magistrate, Hajiya Falila Dikko.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Sani Ado, who read the First Information Report on the incident to the hearing of the court on Tuesday, said, “Saidu was given a dane gun to test the reliability of the charm, but when he fired a shot at Yahuza’s chest, he fell down and died on the spot.
“The victim was taken to the General Hospital, Dustinma, where he was confirmed dead by doctors”.
The police said Saidu acted contrary to sections 97 and 222(7) of Penal Code Code. Ado, however, said investigation was still in progress and prayed for an adjournment which the court granted.

Legendary reggae icon, Majek Fashek has advised the new generation of Nigerian singers to up their game by improving on their sound.
The “Send Down The Rain” crooner, who made waves with his music in the late 80s and early 90s with his brand of reggae music, said while the current generation of singers make good sound, they could do better.
Wizkid
In an interview with HipTV, Majek was quoted as saying the present crop of singers don’t make good sounds but just songs that people can ‘jam’ to.
He said:
“I make sound while all these young musicians make jam, I make good sound but they are always jamming, they don’t make good sound, they just jam.
My song ‘Send down the rain’ was made over thirty years ago, but if you listen to it today, you will realize that the sound will appeal to both the old and equally the young ones because the sound is good and still relevant today, that is something the young musicians don’t have”.
Olamide
In a follow-up chat with E-Daily, Majek explained that his statement in the interview with HipTV wasn’t meant to underrate or disrespect young artistes, but a fatherly encouragement to improve on their craft by making good sounds that will outlive them.
He said:
“I didn’t mean to insult, underrate, slight or demean any young Nigerian artiste; what I did was to state the obvious. The truth is Wizkid, Olamide, Davido, and many other young Nigerian artistes are doing good music but they just need to improve on their sound for the better; I meant no form of insult”.

As soon as he pads into the smart lobby of a Leeds hotel, 25-year-old Nigerian pop star Davido — wearing Gucci slippers and a merch shirt from his 30 Billion world tour — is accosted by excited staff requesting selfies. One woman tells him: “I listen to your music every day!”
Davido, aka David Adedeji Adeleke, is slightly jet-lagged, but amiable. He’s arrived in Leeds to perform at the 2017 Mobo Awards, where he’ll also receive the Best African Act trophy. This isn’t Davido’s first UK trip; he’s previously packed out club shows here.
He has, however, reached a point where his success across Africa is translating into international recognition. Having signed a major label deal with Sony, his triumphant latest single “Fia” follows “If” and “Fall” (the latter tracks so far amassing 54.7m and 38m views respectively on YouTube).
David Adeleke has won Best African Act at the MTV EMAs, and in early 2018 his 30 Billion tour (which has already covered venues across the US, Spain, Djibouti, Ivory Coast and beyond) hits the UK.
“Funnily enough, this is the first time that I’ve won European awards,” says Davido, in sweetly raspy tones. “I realised that when I really focused on Africa and my culture, that’s when people started recognising me. I travel a lot, but I know the kind of environment I need to be in; I’d rather create the music at home, in Lagos. The travelling distracts me, because there’s so much going on.”
In the western music mainstream, the profile of young African talent is soaring. Of course, Africa’s vital influence on, and cross-pollination with, international music scenes, has been deep-rooted over decades; among countless examples are Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat movement and legendary 1970s Lagos hotspot The Shrine, which drew the likes of Paul McCartney to work in Nigeria.
The 21st century has seen collaborative projects such as Africa Express: launched by British musician Damon Albarn, it has connected artists from Mali, Congo, Senegal, the UK and the US. But recent years have also seen the mainstream focus on “afrobeats”: seemingly a catch-all term, yet very distinct from Fela’s polemical grooves.
Afrobeats sounds are fuelled by youth culture and catchy anthems, their vocals and rhythms laced with electronic effects. Some artists have been Brits reflecting their African heritage: take Fuse ODG, whose 2014 debut TINA (This Is New Africa) merged Ghanaian dance roots with western club production, or fellow Londoner J Hus, whose album Common Sense created a buzz this year.
Many others, such as Davido, are Nigerian talents whose success was established well before western attention: D’banj, say, who scored a 2012 hit with “Oliver Twist”, or Wizkid, who raised the roof at London’s Royal Albert Hall in September.
Afrobeats has also notably inspired work by international stars including Beyoncé and Drake. Why is it that the western mainstream has now experienced an awakening?
It’s the internet and social media,” replies Davido, with the assurance of someone who has Nigeria’s biggest Instagram account (5.5m followers). “I’m telling you, Nigerian people have a supportive force, and an amazing energy. Beyoncé and Kanye felt it on their visits, but Nigeria has always been very big on entertainment; when I was little, a big artist would come over to play every Christmas.
“Now the music industry in Nigeria is like a government ministry; it’s worth billions. There are so many artists in Nigeria that you might not have heard of, but trust me, they’re doing well.”
Davido has never played down his own wealthy background; his 2012 debut album was entitled Omo Baba Olowo (Yoruba for “Son of a rich man”).
He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to a family of Nigerian entrepreneurs, and he returned to the US to study engineering; when Davido went Awol to pursue music instead, his father was decidedly unimpressed — and had him arrested upon his reappearance in Lagos.
Davido and His Official DJ, ECool
“My dad didn’t like me doing music!” laughs Davido. “If he saw my face on a billboard, he’d arrest everybody at that show! But when I made the song ‘Dami Duro’ [2011], it became the biggest track in Africa; it’s saying: ‘I’m the son of a rich man, you can’t stop me, and people love me.’ It now feels good for dad to see that music can take me this far.”
This multilingual pop wave is arguably pan-African, with artists and fans taking inspiration from countries around the continent; it highlights the rich disparity of African cultures — and the limitations of the “afrobeats” tag.
“In Nigeria, we all mix sounds together and collaborate; it’s natural,” says Davido. He prefers to call his own music “afrofusion”, with elements including hip-hop, Ghanaian high life, South African kwaito, and R&B. “It’s been generalised as afrobeats, but I have songs that sound like afropop, afrotrap . . . ”
Outspoken on-air personality, Daddy Freeze, has again questioned the concept of tithing as preached in most churches by replying to the Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo.
Daddy Freeze
Pastor Ashimolowo had tweeted:
“Jesus is our High Priest after the ORDER of Melchizedek. If Abraham brought tithes to Melchizedek the High Priest, we, the seed of Abraham must also bring our tithes to Jesus, our High Priest.#ThePowerOfTheTithe.”
Freeze replied and asked:
“So how come Jesus never collected tithe & how come no one ever ‘brought’ tithe to him or disciples? Are we Melchizedekians or Christians?”
This is not the first time Daddy Freeze will be replying the Senior Pastor as he has been at loggerheads with most preachers due to their church’s take on tithing, which he ( Daddy Freeze) sees as another form of extorting the church members.

Earlier today we brought to you the gist of how a pregnant woman was beaten by Delta state police officers alongside her friends, popular instagram sensation – dancer Janemena and Jane’s younger sister (Read Here).
Jane
Now, there are new updates on the story, as it has been revealed that the pregnant woman, sadly has suffered a miscarriage and she was reportedly pregnant with Quadruplets.
Jane mena has however posted on her IG page, the story behind the whole altercation .
Here is an excerpt from what she wrote below ;
This whole issue started from a guy who refused to reverse back a little for my friend to drive by as she couldn’t go back herself Cos of the way my street was filled with stones and her car was really low.
She then left her car on the same road the guy blocked and walked down to my house, 3mins later, we saw police men from ZONE 5 around the car, they were actually patrolling and stopped, I hurriedly told my friend to go check it out thinking we could resolve the situation amicably, on getting there, they were about to loosen her plate number leaving the other guys car that actually blocked the road and that’s when I intervened on her behalf, the minute I said “oga abeg leave the plate number” that’s how these guys shouted at me, WILL YOU GET OF HERE YOU BASTARD, YOU ARE BECOMING AN UNBECOMING, pointing at me, at this stage I asked him not to intimidate us with his guns or power, and that’s when he jacked up my dress, my kid sister came and intervented, before I could say “jack” these police men were dragging her on the floor, hitting her from left, right, centre and above. She actually fainted and another slap woke her up from her slumber.
Thank God for a guy who came to save her from their grips, then a police woman that wasn’t on uniform, came at me shouting while we were resolving this issue again o. YOU THINK SEY YOU DEY MAD, I MAD PASS YOU, and then she came jacking at me too o and I held her dress close to her chest too to leave mine alone and that’s how they said I have beaten up a police woman “who wasn’t on uniform” these men put their handcuffs on me and was dragging me on the road to their hilux car, carrying me and hitting me like I was a criminal, all these, I still refused to enter and this went on for about 7mins before a soldier guy came and said if we must go anywhere, it must be his car I would enter,
i agreed and went into his car, at this point he started asking me, what happened, my dear brothers and sister, the next thing I saw was the policeman hitting my pregnant friend telling her to stop the video and it resulted to her strangling her neck and she went into coma, and that’s when my live video started, they initially wanted to run but i ran in front of their hilux with my handcuffd still on, instead of them to carry my friend they were dragging her and one of the guys shouted and they carried her into the hilix, instead of these people to take her to the hospital, they took her to one pharmacy and the pharmacist told them he doesn’t have the kind of injections they need, these guys were still arguing if they should take her to government hospital or her own hospital, can you imagine, and then as i thought we were going to the hospital, these guys branched their police gra headquarters, back of macrons, Asaba, Delta state.
Saying they want to get police report, nothing came out of this, and they entered into the hilux and drove to her own hospital. On getting to the hospital, I FOUND OUT MY FRIEND WAS ACTUALLY PREGNANT WITH NOT ONE CHILD BUT FOUR CHILDREN. And i couldn’t stop my tears, what they did to her.
However in a twist to the story, it has been revealed that the pregnant woman has lost the pregnancy, and this was posted by Nigerian Singer Ruggedman on his Instagram page;
SHE WAS PREGNANT WITH QUADRUPLETS! Federal sars have finally killed. 4 babies.
We just got word from @janemena that the pregnant lady that was brutalised by Delta state federal sars has lost the pregnancy.

Hearing of Abdul Jamal Ottun a British teenager drowned in a lake in Canada during school rugby tour.
The inquest is due to start today. 8.1.18

Abdul-Jamal Ottun, a teenage schoolboy drowned after his friend pushed him into a lake as a joke during a school trip to Canada.
According to a report by Metro UK, Abdul-Jamal Ottun had two training sessions before joining a group of 25 school pals for a swimming trip to a lake on a Sunday afternoon.
Abdul-Jamal Ottun
The 17-year-old was stood around taking photographs moments before a friend pushed him off a jetty into the water. At the time of the incident he was observing Ramadan but had stopped for the school rugby trip to Canada in 2015.
He was concerned he might struggle with physical activities because he had been fasting, a court heard.
Abdul, known as Jamal, who was known to suffer from asthma, was submerged for around ten seconds at Shawnigan Lake in British Colombia, Canada, several metres from the jetty’s edge. As fellow pupils were playing on the jetty, his pal was also pushed into the water.
Jamal then surfaced looking annoyed and asked who had pushed him in but disappeared again in the lake, which at its deepest is three metres. Jamal was eventually discovered beneath the jetty after two members of staff had spent several minutes searching and the Canadian school’s education leader took to the water with a paddle board.
Emergency services conducted CPR for around half an hour before resuscitation was stopped. Pal Brume Umukoro struggled to fight back tears as he told of the moment he desperately searched for his friend before raising the alarm.
He said: ‘We were on the jetty and we were taking photos and he handed his phone over and then he was standing by the edge talking to someone so I pushed him into the water. ‘My friend then pushed me into the water. He was pushed in off the end of the jetty and I was pushed off the side, we were not very close.
‘I came up and started speaking to my friend who pushed me in and I did not think to look for Jamal until I got back onto the jetty and I realised he was not there, I could not see him.
‘We started looking for him, I did not know if he was still in the water. ‘At one point we decided to look on land because we were not sure if he had got out of the water, I went to look because I could not see him.
‘I remember waiting for him to come up. I expected him to come up immediately and he did not.’
When asked how long Jamal was under the water for Brume replied: ‘Maybe ten seconds, it was longer than we had expected.’ Back in Britain Brume was told by headteacher Jamie Bean that Jamal’s death was a ‘freak accident’ and that he should not feel responsible for the boy’s death.
Brume said: ‘I felt responsible and I was told not to feel responsible.
‘He said there was a multitude of reasons for for why he could have gone under without struggling and that it was a freak accident and that it was not my fault.’
The bi-annual trip organised by Wellington County Grammar School, rated ‘outstanding’ by Osfted, had conducted a risk assessment for the trip.
But the only swimming risk assessment was for a teacher to visit the lake the night before with a teacher from a Canadian school before telling the boys where was safe to swim.

UK-based Nigerian pastor, Matthew Ashimolowo, took to his twitter handle to share his thoughts on Tithing, a topic that has been debated on for months on the media.
Read his complied tweets below
Tithing is a command from the Lord. Walking in obedience to God’s command will ensure you remain under HIS covering always.
Tithing is an insurance against Satanic encroachment. Divine protection will be your experience because God promises He’ll rebuke the devourer HIMSELF, for your sake.
You contribute towards world evangelism when you tithe. The gospel of the Kingdom of God can be proclaimed through multiple media so the lost can be reached for Christ.
Tithing is an insurance against Satanic encroachment. Divine protection will be your experience because God promises He’ll rebuke the devourer HIMSELF, for your sake.
Jesus is our High Priest after the ORDER of Melchizedek. If Abraham brought tithes to Melchizedek the High Priest, we, the seed of Abraham must also bring our tithes to Jesus, our High Priest.
Never use the tithe to redeem a pledge or a vow. The tithe belongs to the LORD so when it is used for something else, it becomes an accursed thing.

Nigerian soul singer Simi, is one entertainer who has had to endure her own share of heavy criticisms because of her sense of style .
Simi, 29 has has often faced bashing for almost anything she steps out in. Many of her loyal fans have advised her to get a stylist and put an end to embarrassing herself on the red carpet and on stage.
GoldMyneTV caught up with Simi recently and the Joromi crooner was quick to remind us that everyone is entitled to criticize or drop opinions, as long as she is not disrespected in the process, she is cool with it.
However for everytime she got bashed, the singer always had the right response for her detractors. She was always quick to remind them that she is an entertainer not a fashion icon.
The “joromi” singer said ;
“I don’t have a problem with you not liking my shoe or skirt or dress, there are some looks I also don’t like. You are entitled to your opinion… I really don’t have issues until you insult me or you are rude to me”

A Yoruba adage says that there are several roads that lead into one single market! This aptly depicts the stance of many in the Nollywood industry, more especially, the Yoruba sector.
In the quest to get into ‘the market’ of money making, some top actresses in the industry are not relying solely on one route, hence, business is the order of the day.
While some have just boutiques as their side gig, some have added the business of ‘skin care’ since it is obvious that most of the actresses in this particular industry favour a well toned and ‘yellow’ skin, hence, some of their colleagues have taken it upon themselves to provide them with the necessary ingredients!
Mercy Aigbe: Everyone wants to have the Mercy Aigbe look, toned but not obvious! Beautiful and even like a baby’s.
It is only natural that they will go to her to know how she achieves her skin eveness: the birth of FLAWLESS by Mercy! With the actress herself as the model.

Nigerians will never cease to amaze me, especially the ones on Twitter NG.
We reported earlier that the Temi Otedola, revealed that her credit card was used by fraudsters while she was asleep, and now Nigerians have reacted by calling out Nigerian singers, Mr Eazi and Dammy Krane, both who have become infamous lately because of the controversies that trailed them last year…Mr Eazi was dragged for picking his Ghanaian side over his motherland Nigeria and Dammy Krane was involved in a messy credit card fraud scandal.
Now, due to the fact Singer Mr. Eazi is the current boyfriend of the Billionaire daughter – Temi and Dammy krane being associate with credit card theft in the past, Nigerians used the news of Temi’s credit card story to drag both artistes on twitter.
Temi had tweeted ;
”Damn. Woke up to find out someone had been online shopping with my card whilst I slept. Card fraud is savage. Now I’m away from home till Thursday with a cancelled card”
