There are numerous stories on social media from young men and women on the horrible activities of SARS operatives. According to multiple reports over time, SARS has shifted from its major duty.

A Lagos based man, identified as Martins Dareno has taken to social media to narrate his ordeal in the hands of the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives yesterday in Ikorodu area of Lagos state.

“SARS NEEDS TO STOP THE ABUSE OF INNOCENT CITIZENS
The wanton abuse of power by the officers of the special anti robbery squad (SARS) is becoming unbearable. How does harassing innocent Nigerians constitute as their job?
On my way to work yesterday the 20th of Nov 2017 on an okada on Erunwen road in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, a mini Suzuki bus overtook us and suddenly halted in front of the bike that was conveying me to work. Out of the bus came 3 armed men with SARS boldly written on their shirts pointing guns at us. The sudden stop of the bike made us fall at the middle of the road and in the process the hot silencer of the Okada burnt through my trousers and was burning my flesh. I was screaming for help so the bike could be taken off my leg but these “police officers” were more interested in bundling us into their bus.
I’m a certified Computer Programmer and web site designer and I work as a back-end admin for a top hotel here in Ikorodu. I also do other web related jobs freelance such as building websites for several clients. I have never involved myself in cyber crime of any sort. The revenue I make off my jobs keeps me humble as my needs are not much.
After bungling us into the bus, with my leg badly burnt and bleeding, I asked them what crime had I committed? They asked for my phone, I asked them again, what crime had I committed, they promptly pointed their guns towards me. I gave them my phone because I’ve heard how they kill people who resist them recklessly and I was not looking to be a statistic.
They begun driving all around aimlessly while checking our phones. They tried to open my Facebook app but my the data wasn’t on. Since they couldn’t get any info from FB, they decided to look at my photo gallery. When it seemed like the type of evidence they were looking for was not available and all he saw were my screenshots chats and he began to delete them. Delete?
At that point I became livid, Hello sir, those screenshots are back end admin usernames and passwords for the web designs of my clients. No! You don’t have the right to do that sir, but that infuriated them and they began punching and slapping me from all directions. The officer with my phone deleted my first photo folder and was moving to wipe out my whole gallery folder when I yanked my phone from him. They hit me harder pointing that they will kill me and dump me by the roadside and nobody will do anything to them. At this point I could not feel my toes as my burnt leg was bleeding out.
I thought to myself that when i woke up that morning, dealing with the Nigerian police in this manner was not what i planned for. what was my crime again? Being a computer savvy youth with a phone and training myself to make a decent living with my skills.
I remembered that in the news recently some SARS officers while chasing a suspected Internet fraudster, Badoo at the Ogoja Market along LASU-Igando Road, had started shooting sporadically and in the process, a stray bullet hit 20-year-old Joseph in the head.
After hours of rounding up more innocent victims and seeing my phone was clean, they dropped me off at Erunwen Junction. With the amount of gun pokes and gun butt hitting it will be a miracle if there’s no internal injury. Every blood of the Nigerian youth that dies and has died based on the unprofessional conduct of these officers will speak today. These extra-judicial killing and harassment of innocent citizens is nothing short of a genocidal agenda to wipe a population of Nigerian youths. It’s a privilege to serve as an officer of the Nigerian forces. SARS STOP THE WANTON ABUSE.”

Soldiers chain man to motorcycle in Lagos, drag him on street over alleged lovers dispute .

An electronics dealer in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, Lukman Lambo, may have to undergo a surgery to regain the use of his left eye, Punch reports.

The injury was inflicted on him by soldiers, who also dragged him on the street. It was said that the girlfriend of one of the soldiers had a disagreement with Lukman’s younger brother, Saheed. .

Saheed and the lady, identified simply as Dasola, were neighbours on Itulubajo Lane, Alhaji Street, Ikorodu. It was learnt that the duo were lovers, until a few weeks ago when a disagreement over money strained their relationship. .

It was gathered that some residents clashed around 11am on Saturday, November 11, in the house where Saheed lives and Dasola went to watch the altercation. .

Soldier Brutality

Saheed was said to have rebuked her for poking her nose into a situation that did not concern her. At about 5pm on that day, Dasola reportedly led her soldier boyfriend in company with three other soldiers to Saheed’s residence.

The soldiers did not meet Saheed at home, but they descended on his elder brother, Lukman, who was on a visit. The victim revealed that one of the soldiers believed to be Dasola’s boyfriend rained blows on his face. .

He said he was handcuffed to a motorcycle while one of the soldiers rode the bike and dragged him on the street. Lukman said the soldiers left him when blood started coming out from his eyes. .

The case was reported at the Igbogbo Police Station and Dasola was arrested. Saheed explained that a week before the incident, he had taken Dasola to an inn in the community. .

He said after the date, he gave her N1,500, but she rejected it, insisting that she would collect N2,500. Saheed said, “She later collected the N1,500, but tore my clothes. .

Afterwards, she would abuse me whenever she saw me. On Saturday, November 11, my friends fought in our compound and she came. I told her she was nosy. We abused each other and she left and later came back with the soldiers to intimidate me.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde-Famous Cole, confirmed the assault.

He said,

“Investigations commenced after the case was reported. The lady was arrested for conspiring with the soldiers to assault the man. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

“The Divisional Police Officer found out that the suspects were from an army barracks. We have to write to the Nigerian Army to report their conduct and get them identified so that they could be brought to book.”

A statement by the Army spokesperson, Brigadier General Sani Usman, on Wednesday morning said all personnel are expected to be proficient in Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba by December 2018.

He said that the directive is part of the new language policy by the army.

NIGERIAN ARMY INTRODUCES NEW LANGUAGE POLICY FOR OFFICERS AND SOLDIERS

1. The Nigerian Army has introduced a new Language Policy. The study of foreign and local languages is world-wide practice among armies, in which officers and soldiers are encouraged to be multi-lingual. The Policy will foster espirit-de-corps and better communication with the populace to enhance information gathering, civil-military relations, increase understanding between militaries when operating abroad and assist officers and soldiers to perform their duties professionally.

2. It is to be noted that English remains the official language in the Nigerian Army. Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa languages could be used during Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities or interrogation. Therefore all Nigerian Army personnel have been given one year to learn the three major Nigerian languages. Invariably, by December 2018, all Nigerian Army personnel are expected to learn the three major Nigerian languages. The standard of proficiency to be attained is the basic level. Certificated proficiency level will attract Language Allowance.

3. The ability to speak the 3 major Nigerian languages will be an added advantage to those applying for recruitment or commissioning into the Nigerian Army. Therefore, prospective candidates are encouraged to learn Nigerian languages other than their mother tongues.

4. Before now, the Nigerian Army officially encouraged the learning of French, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and Swahili. French language is an assessed subject in some career courses and examinations for Nigerian Army personnel.

I was bleeding like hell… I was coughing out glasses and blood which made me ask the nurses if I will make ?

I’m a strong woman but for the first time in my life I asked someone if I will survive!!!!! But I did anyway???????? the next day the little girl I helped called me from her own hospital bed to tell me she prayed for me that her brother told them immediately I was shot to pray for me and she did.. that I shouldn’t worry nothing will happen to me!!! We both recovered and here I am today telling the story… so now if I say thank God for life, you will feel me better .. I am 35 years today thank God for life??⚡️ and don’t forget to be good to people, you might just be saving your own life/future!!!!”

An 8-year-old girl have reportedly died of infection from rectovaginal fistula, after she was allegedly raped by an unknown man in the neighborhood at Bariga, Lagos state.

According to a Facebook user, Adeniyi FunminiWealth Adeniyi who shared the news on the platform, the line between the girl’s vagina and anus cut which led to the death of the young girl.

Man Nabbed At Obudu Motor Park With Pistols And Magazines Buried In A Bag Of Garri (Photos)

A Nigerian man, identified as Emmanuel Akamabe has been nabbed at a motor park in Obudu, Cross River state with pistols and magazines buried in a bag of garri.

The 32-year-old suspect resident at Ranch Road in Obudu was arrested on Tuesday morning at the Obudu Motor Park by the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Mr. Maritin Umbe.

He was found with two Barreta pistols, two empty magazines and two live rounds, hidden in a bag of garri.

The suspect claims he was taking the arms on an errand for one Mr. Ezekiel Bala, also known as, GUN RUNNER, from Wukari, Taraba state to deliver to a client with GSM 08036695154 in Calabar.

The former Zimbabwean vice president, Emmerson Mnangagwa who was sacked by Robert Mugabe, would be sworn in as the new president today to replace Robert Mugabe who resigned on Tuesday afternoon after 37-years in office.

The 75-year-old was removed from office and exiled 13 days after Mugabe accused him of disloyalty and insubordination.

Mr. 2Kay reveals how Burna Boy threatened to attack him over the “tithe drama”

Popular Nigerian singer, Abinye David Jumbo popularly known as Mr 2Kay, has broken his silence on the robbery incident and alleged involvement of singer, Burna Boy.

Mr. 2Kay said Burna Boy had issued him a threat but that he took it as child’s play.

His statement followed Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgar’s declaration of Burna Boy wanted over his alleged involvement in Mr 2Kay’s travail.

Speaking to Vanguard through his manager, Silas, Mr. 2Kay disclosed that Burna Boy’s threat was sequel to his caution on the former’s attack on Pastors.

He said: “The arrested suspects confessed that Burna Boy contracted them through a third party to teach Mr. 2Kay a lesson because he granted HipTV an interview, where he corrected Burna Boy for saying negative things about Nigerian pastors.

“2Kay only said Burna Boy shouldn’t have spoken ill of pastors because they are anointed men of God so he can’t be talking about them in that manner.

“After the interview, Burna Boy sent a message saying ‘You better have that energy when I come for you because I’m coming for you.’

“We thought it was just an empty threat but unknown to us he was serious about it. All along we didn’t want to talk about it because the police are still doing their investigations.

“His father was at the station yesterday (Monday), so Burnaboy just has to appear at the station to clarify himself”, he said.

Speaking further, he expressed fear for the safety of his life and members of his team.

He said; “We just have to watch our backs because we’re not safe. Mr. 2Kay will always have security around him, two bodyguards and police protection for every event he goes for now.”

However, he confirmed that the camp has no intentions to press charges against Burna Boy because he is a peace loving person.

“Mr. 2Kay does not want any form of trouble, left to him alone he would drop all charges. But for now it’s left to the police, they have the right to do whatever. On our own end, I don’t think we’re going to press charges”.

Ikoyi, VI, Lekki to experience power outage — EKEDC

The Eko Electricity Distribution (EKEDC) on Tuesday announced an impending power outage that would affect consumers in Lagos Island, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki and their environs.

Mr Godwin Idemudia, the General Manager, Corporate Communications, EKEDC, in a statement in Lagos, said the outage is to enable Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to carry out routine maintenance work on some of its vital facilities servicing the area.

According to the General Manager, the outage, which is scheduled to take place every Tuesday and Thursday for the next five weeks, will last for four hours on each day of the maintenance work.

“In order to minimise the effect of the planned outage on the company’s customers, back-feeding arrangements have been put in place from Ijora Transmission station to Alagbon Transmission Station.

“This will enable customers in Ikoyi, Victoria Island and Lagos Island to receive reasonable power supply.

“We appeal to all residents that will be affected by the planned outage to please bear with the situation,” he said.

Idemudia assured the consumers in the affected areas that the maintenance work would lead to better services to all customers. (NAN)

We reported two days ago that Bilyamin Bello, the son of a former Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Haliru Bello, was on Saturday allegedly stabbed to death by his wife, Maryam Sanda

However One Maryam Aliyu, from Kebbi State, has come to the defence of her namesake, Maryam Sanda, who allegedly stabbed her husband, Bilyami Mohammed Bello to death in Abuja.

She Wrote ;

“Many people weighing into these Maryam Sanda and Bilyaminu Halliru talk ignorantly without knowing the details. There isn’t enough evidence that she committed the said murder, matter of fact the only mystery proven is he was a cheating piece of filth and if you ask me, he got what he deserved. I’m leaning more on the argument that he died in a fight and it was not a cold blooded murder. Stay strong Maryam, Allah is with you.”

Bilyamin Muhammed Bello was stabbed three times in the back and severally on his private parts in the early hours of Sunday, at their residence in Pension Estate, Pakali Close, Wuse 2, Abuja.

Maryam then drove the deceased to Maitama hospital where he was confirmed dead.

The couple got married in 2015 and has an eight-month-old daughter.

Yesterday, Burna Boy’s management released a state saying that Burna has honored the police invitation, and is cooperating with them the best he can.

The statement reads;

“We use this medium to categorically state that Burna Boy, is not in any way involved with the robbery and beating up of Grafton Records’ Artiste, Mr. 2Kay on the 22nd of October, 2017.

The first and only invitation Burna Boy has ever received from the police was issued yesterday Nov 20th, 2017. This invitation was honored yesterday Nov 20th, 2017 and it has been made clear that he is happy to cooperate with the police as best as he can.

It is pertinent to note that he was never served an arrest warrant nor has he been declared wanted.

We are confident that the Nigerian police will deal with this fairly and professionally.”

Now, the Lagos State Police has denied the singer honored their invitation, disclosing that he might be on the run.

The Lagos state Police Command would like to inform members of the public that Damini Ogulu a.k.a ‘Burna Boy’ is YET to report himself to the police and still on the run contrary to reports making rounds on the internet that the musician has honoured police invitation.

The command would also like to inform the public that only Burna Boy’s father, one Samuel Ogulu visited the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) in-charge of the case with the promise to bring Burna Boy before the police.

The Command however uses this medium to urge Burna Boy’s father and relatives to do right by bringing the musician and turning him in to the police before the long arm of the law catches up with him. The command assures that justice will be done.

The controversial Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District went to popular Social Media App – Instagram to criticize people who deemed it fit to investigate the source of other people’s wealth.

On the Video that was just 15 seconds, the Senator quizzed ;

Meanwhile , Senator Dino Melaye has while addressing journalists at the end of a plenary session last month, disclosed that 40 Nigerian senators have donated at least 1,260 bags of rice and other relief materials to civil servants in Kogi state a few days after a director in the Kogi State civil service reportedly killed himself over unpaid emolument.

Mr. Melaye who was pelted with stones during the Kabba Celebration also called the attention of the Senate to the suffering of civil servants in Kogi State.

Man who raises false alarm over missing manhood in other to get free sex arrested

An okada man in the habit of raising false alarm of his missing manhood in order to get free sex whenever he carries young ladies in Festac Area of Lagos State has been arrested by the officials of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos Police Command.

The rider, whose name was given as Okechukwu Desmond, allegedly picked a young lady whose name was not disclosed at Apple Junction, Festac, around 9:00 p.m. yesterday.

Midway into the journey, Okechukwu raised alarm that his passenger lady has taken his manhood.

It took the speedy intervention of the Rapid Response Squad to save the lady from an angry mob who had converged at the scene from lyching the young lady for using charm to take the manhood of the okada rider.

The RRS team thereafter transferred the case to the nearest police station in Festac, where it was discovered that the supposed victim had recently reported a similar case of a missing manhood at the station.

On further interrogation, the okada rider confessed to the police about his habit of getting cheap sex from unsuspecting ladies that patronise him by raising false alarm that they have stolen his manhood.

Sources recalled that Okechukwu had once reported in the same station similar incident where he demanded he be put up with a commercial sex worker to test whether his manhood was still functioning.

After his confession, Okechukwu disclosed that nothing was wrong with his manhood and that all he wanted was free sex.

Efforts to get him to disclosed how many ladies he has done it for proved abortive as investigator disclosed the case was still under investigation.

While the lady was allowed to go after offering statement to the police, the rider was taken into custody at Base 44, Festac Police Station for further investigation into the case.

It could not be ascertained if he would be charged to court.

So far, Four people are in the middle of this controversy, and they are, Regina Daniels, her best friend, Casie Snow, her brother, Sammy Daniels and producer, Richy Adams.

Meanwhile, there is also a blurred screenshot of a semi-nude photo of the victim which Regina allegedly went ahead to share on a particular website.

According to a commenter on Amanda’s post, he reported the explicit photo on the website and it has now been taken down.

Robert Mugabe has finally resigned as president of the African country after 37 years in power. Mugabe’s resignation came just when the Zimbabwean Parliament was having an impeachment hearing.

According to Sky News, Mugabe wrote a letter to the Zimbabwean parliament saying he was resigning “with immediate effect.”

“I, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, hereby formally tender my resignation as President,” his letter read.

The parliament had resumed on Tuesday after a hiatus, planning to kick off Mugabe’s impeachment proceedings.

Instead, the session had begun with a reading of Mugabe’s resignation letter.

Crowds around the country took to the streets to celebrate the resignation, dancing and singing.

Mugabe, following a military takeover, had been expected to resign in a speech on Sunday.

Instead, the 93-year-old had said he would be leading the party Zanu-PF into their congress in December, despite being removed as its leader.

His ousted vice-president Emerson Mnangagwa is expected to take over as president.

Simi and Dr Sid got married in August 2013, and they both have a daughter together..

According to reports, they were both recently spotted together at Femi Otedola’s daughter’s album music show case last month, October, and just a few days ago, they took their daughter out, despite the fact that they have been having issues.

Thirty people were killed early this morning by a teenage boy in a bloody suicide attack at a Mosque in Mubi, Adamawa State.

The suicide attack occurred around 5:20am local time, at Kunu Araha, a suburb in Mubi North. It was allegedly triggered by a yet to be identified teenage boy who set off the suicide vest he was wearing.

 

Adamawa police spokesman, Othman Abubakar who confirmed the incident, said more than 30 persons lost their lives in the dawn mosque attack.

He noted that several other persons wounded in the attacks are receiving medical attention at various medical hospitals in Mubi Town.

He said:

“We were made to understand that there was a bomb blast at a mosque in Mubi and over 30 lives were lost. A boy about 17-year-old wearing a suicide vest entered the mosque along with other worshippers. Immediately after the prayers, he detonated the bomb. Many of the wounded are receiving treatment at various hospitals in Mubi North where the attacks occurred around Kunu Araha area”

This morning, news went viral after a Blogger, Amanda Chisom accused 17-year-old Actress, Regina Daniels of leaking her best Friend, Casie Snow’s nud-e pictures, after the latter refused to sleep with a Nollywood Producer.

The news went viral immediately, with many judging the teenage actress.

Amanda earlier wrote on Facebook with some purported screenshots thus;

“Meanwhile, yesterday a young girl came to me that this never more than 17 years nollywood actress was blackmailing her and threatening her with nudes if she does not go to sleep with a certain producer.

This is supposed to be a teenager oh threatening another teenager she asked for nudes so she can introduce her into acting that if she does not sleep with a certain producer. In my typical fashion, I went to this child first and asked her to make sure that she does not post nudes of anybody and familiarise herself with the cyber crime act. Obviously, she does not have any brain she decided she cannot be threatened with lawsuit and have initiated the process of posting the nudes.

So I will return the favour and post every chat , names and details. We were all teenagers , we did stupid things but for this one to assume her Asaba popularity and instagram fame is enough to start pimping out her fellow teenagers to paedophiles and blackmailing people is something we must all cut at the root. I do not even want to know who is involved and who gives her guts. This post is a cannon shot.

Let those who know her tell her. Because I will not only post, I will make sure the law goes after her. Let her take down the girl’s picture from that website before I wake up…”

She didn’t just stop there, she also shared pictures and screenshots of the messages she sent to Regina Daniels’s Verified Instagram page.

Now, Chisom claims Regina Daniels saw her above message, and screenshotted it, then sent it to the Girl in question, Her Best friend;

She also claims Regina Daniels posted the below on her Whatsapp story, after she (Amanda) threatened her with the Law.

Now, this Morning, Amanda claimed Regina Daniels has uploaded the nude pictures of her said friend;

In reaction to this news, Regina took to her Instagram to write,

Abiye Jumbo, aka Mr 2Kay, was robbed at gunpoint in his hotel room at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, after his performance at the “Buckwyld N Breathless” concert.

Punch reports that 3 of the 4 suspects Balogun Ademola, Obina Igwe, and Tunmise Omotore have confessed to the crime.

Omotore, the gang leader, told Punch that he was invited by Joel Kantiok, Burna Boy’s road manager, who told him his boss needed to deal with Mr 2Kay. He said:

On that day, I was at home when Joel called me on the telephone and said Mr. 2Kay had to be beaten up. He said Mr. 2Kay had issues with Burna Boy.

On getting to the hotel, he gave me the room number where Mr. 2Kay was. He led me and three others, including one Sunny, to the elevator and told a security man to open the elevator for us.

We posed as room service officials, entered his room and beat him up. We tied him up and collected his phones, a wristwatch and some other things. I was paid N50,000.

Igwe corroborated Omotore’s story. He however told Punch they did not cart away Mr 2Kay’s property. He said:

My friend, Tunmise, contacted me on the telephone. He said Burna Boy told his road manager that he was having a misunderstanding with Mr. 2Kay. I am also a fan of Burna Boy, so I decided to volunteer myself. Tunmise came to pick me at Bariga and we went to the hotel.

Kantiok has however denied that Burna Boy was involved the robbery, adding that he had no knowledge of the two artists – Burna Boy and Mr 2Kay – having a dispute.

The suspects were paraded on Monday at the state command headquarters in Ikeja by the Lagos State Acting Police Commissioner Edgal Imohimi.

Imohimi told Punch that the suspects were tracked through footage caught on the CCTV cameras installed in the hotel.

He gave an account of the stolen items, adding that the robbery on Mr 2Kay was carried out to “teach him a lesson.” He said:

At about 2am, someone knocked on the door of Mr. 2Kay’s room and introduced himself as a room service official from the reception. Mr. 2Kay opened the door and four men entered with a gun.

They robbed him of his Audemais Piquet, an automatic gold wristwatch valued at $25,000; gold jewellery valued at N1.5m; an iPhone 7 valued at N380,000, a Samsung Galaxy S7 valued at N240,000, Samsung Galaxy S5 worth N110,000; Adidas shoes valued at N75,000; three bottles of perfume worth N180,000, and a cash sum of N45,000.

The gang then tied him and his girlfriend up before leaving the room. During investigations, the girlfriend of one of the gang members, Nimota Mutajero, was arrested. Her confession led to the arrest of three suspects. They confessed that one Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, an artiste, through his road manager, one Joel Kantiock, contacted and paid them to rob Mr. 2Kay to teach him a lesson.

Kantiock was subsequently picked up in his hideout in Zaria, Kaduna State.

He confessed that his boss, Burna Boy, instructed him to look for armed men that could rob Mr. 2Kay. Burna Boy mobilised the gang with an initial cash sum of N50,000 and a subsequent sum of N50,000 when the job had been completed.

I advise Ogulu aka Burna Boy, to report himself at the nearest police station since efforts to locate him at his residence or any known hangouts, have proved abortive.
