Oluwo of Iwo Land, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi held a second year anniversary of his ascension to the throne and marked his 50th birthday on Saturday October 7, 2017.
He spoke with PREMIUM TIMES during the event and in the interview, he revealed how powerful he is as a monarch, saying he can cause the rain to stop and heal people of sickness and afflictions.

Three Chinese women were in a state of confusion after they were reportedly stopped from flying back to China from South Korea, after authorities failed to identify their faces as they looked different from their passport pictures.
According to reports, the women traveled to the country, South Korea for plastic surgery, and they were pictured with swollen faces and bandages around their head as they recover from the operation.
According to reports on Chinese-language media, they were said to look nothing like their passport photos and had been stopped from flying home. The picture was said to be taken at one unnamed airport in South Korea.
The picture of the women, who remain unidentified was said to be posted online by Jian Huahua, a Chinese news anchor on Sunday. The news anchor later deleted the photo but only after it had gone viral on social media.
One account, ‘The Beijing Things Beijingers Don’t Know’, managed to re-post the picture on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent to Twitter. It was claimed that the three women had been prevented from leaving the airport and waited for their identities to be confirmed.
The post also claimed that they were among Chinese tourists who had gone to South Korea for plastic surgery during the eight-day national holiday.
According to a Mail Online report, the re-post has gathered over 66,740 ‘likes’ and was shared over 27,800 times. It has also received 37,860 comments.
The re-post also caused mixed reactions on Social Media, as some people found the incident amusing, while others argued that the women were within their rights to change their looks through surgery.
Meanwhile, it’s yet unclear if the women were allowed to fly back to China.

The Lagos State Police Command has recovered substances suspected to be hard drugs from a car in which another friend of the hip hop musician, David Adeleke, aka Davido, died.
The deceased, Olugbenga Abiodun, aka DJ Olu, and one Chime Amaechi, said to be a crew member of the ace artiste, were found dead on Saturday in a BMW car in a garage on Block B, Banana Island, Lagos.
They were both aged 25. DJ Olu was the son of an oil magnate, Dapo Abiodun.
The deaths came three days after Davido’s friend, Umeike Tagbo, died at a bar in the Lekki area of the state after allegedly taking 10 shots of Tequila. He died on his birthday.
While the police awaited autopsy report to ascertain the cause of death, Tagbo’s girlfriend, Caroline Danjuma, had discarded insinuations that he died of drunkenness.
She also alleged that Davido ran away after dumping his corpse at a general hospital on Lagos Island.
However, the musician denied the allegation. He condoled with Tagbo’s family and promised not to speak further on the incident.
But as Tagbo’s death continued to attract controversy, another friend of Davido, DJ Olu, and his crew member, Amaechi died around 8pm on Saturday.
A source, who confided in PUNCH Metro, said operatives from the Ikoyi Police Division received a distress call that two young men were lying lifeless in a car.
“A team raced to the scene. On getting there, the lifeless bodies of two adult males were found in a BMW car, with number plate, KJA 631 AY, at the underground garage of Block B, Banana Island.
“After making some enquiries, the victims were identified as Olugbenga Abiodun, 25. He lived on Block 11 of the estate. The other victim, Chime Amaechi, was also aged 25,” the source said.
Another source said the duo vomited blood from the noses and mouths, adding that a preliminary physical examination suggested that they died of drug overdose.
She said, “They were found dead in the car and blood was coming out of their noses and mouths. A doctor was also at the scene. Physical examination of the bodies indicated that the victims must have died of an overdose of substances suspected to be hard drugs. The substances were found in the car.”
It was learnt that the corpses had been deposited in the Lagos State Teaching Hospital morgue for post-mortem to find the actual cause of death.
The Lagos State Acting Commissioner of Police, Edgar Imohimi, confirmed the deaths and the recovery of substances suspected to be drugs from the victims.
He, however, said the police would subject the substances to laboratory tests for identification.
Imohimi, who spoke with our correspondent on the telephone said, “They were found dead in the garage. Some substances suspected to be drugs were found in the vehicle. But in any case, autopsies would be carried out to know the cause of death. There were no marks of violence on their bodies. Let the autopsies explain the cause of death. The substances will also be analysed. We need expert opinion and it is being done.”
When asked the outcome of the autopsy conducted on Tagbo, the CP said, “It will be out soon. Investigation is in top gear.”
Meanwhile, Davido, had expressed grief over the loss of the DJ Olu, saying they had been together for four years.
“Olu, I swear tonite (tonight) is for you! We killed shows back-to-back together for four years straight! I love you, bro. God take control,” he wrote on his Instagram page, davidoofficial.
Efforts to verify whether Amaechi was a member of Davido’s crew were unsuccessful as calls to his manager, Asa Asike, failed.
A text message sent to the manager’s phone had yet to deliver as of press time.

Perhaps leaving her as a superhuman to her followers, but then she reckons that she tries as much as possible to be herself regardless of the name Rita Dominic, or her being an actor, that she’s just an ordinary person.
The kind of person that likes simple things even though a lot of people find it difficult to believe; liking a simple lifestyle with that maybe they can connect with her on that level.
That much, with her strong social media presence, has helped grown and maintain her fan base by direct conversation with her fans, so many of who go overboard sometimes to appreciate her craft whenever they see her.

Asked what the craziest or worst form of appreciation she has ever experienced in a chat with This Day, her response was shocking as much as it was to her.
“Some guy many years ago, I was trying to pass and I tapped him, just trying to say ‘excuse me’ and the next thing, he does a double take when he turned his back seeing it’s me and grabs me and just plant a kiss up my lips and then he screams my name ‘Rita Dominic!’ I was in shock…’what was that?’ Then my friend just took me away from there.”
What could have happened should it be that her friend was not at the scene and had not pulled her away? It could have been either way bad or good.
“I’m human, I wouldn’t know, she responded laughing. “The thing is, first and foremost I’m quite a polite person. It takes me a while to be pushed. It’s possible that I would have just ignored and smiled since it’s a fan and it was a reflex action. He was just excited to see me. I could have ignored it I’m sure. I found it unexpected and was in shock. I wasn’t angry. It just happened in a split of seconds and I was just out of that place. But when I think about it I actually laugh.”
On her star power and being quite on top of her game and more so relevant in the industry, she attributes to herself being her biggest competition, and not anybody else. By that, she tries to reinvent herself in terms of her craft.
“What I do is I try to be better than I was last year, I try to be better than I was two years ago, I try to be better than I was at the start of my career in terms of my acting. I look at my work from way back and I say ‘okay maybe these are the things I’m going to do.’ I just constantly look for ways of immersing myself in a role. I feel like over the years when people have seen that this person has constantly been growing, automatically your relevance is there because people believe in your ability to bring a character to light. So because they believe in that your ability, they constantly want to work with you.”
Kendrick Lamar’s younger sister, Kayla, 17, is pregnant with her second child, and the teenager is expecting to put to bed soon.
Kayla had her first child at 13 – a baby girl. Now she’s expecting a second one. Kayla and her rapper brother are extremely close, and the 30-year-old big brother usually helps babysit her daughter.
When Kayla graduated from high school this summer, Kendrick bought her a brand new car.

The Lagos State Government has confirmed that there are two suspected cases of Monkey Pox in the state. This was made known at an ongoing press briefing by the officials of the Lagos State Government, Alausa.

The commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris disclosed that the two suspected cases were currently being investigated in the state.
“Though no confirmed case has been recorded, there is need to sensitise members of the public and provide adequate information on measures for prevention and control of the disease in line with the policy of the State government,” he said.
The new airborne viral disease which broke out from Bayelsa State has also be recorded in Akwa Ibom state.

It all began on Tuesday night, the 2nd of October 2017, when as usual, Honourable Femi Kehinde, Uncle Segeto and I were all hold up in the hotel discussing.
Nocturnal lifestyle has become a norm for me for a while now since I started working with politicians and in the deep of the meeting, Honourable screamed and his countenance suddenly changed from that of a happy man to a crying baby whose mother has just spanked for one offence or the other.

Uncle Segeto could not fathom the reason but Honourable muttered few strength to explained

We all rushed downstairs straight to Uncle Segun cars, It was sometime around 9 30pm and I knew right there that I may not get back to my house till around 12midnight if not I have to stay at the hotel for the best reasons known to me.
Honourable was fighting to control the tears strolling down his cheeks while explaining to us the relationship between him and Femi which existed for about two decades and I could only nod my heads like that of agama liazard in agreement though I never knew who that Femi is .
After navigating into Bello street at Fellele, Lagelu estate, the abode of the deceased was still at the extreme end of Felele toward Iwo road express way, the house was a bungalow and everywhere was still apparently because of the sad event which occurs at the wee hours of Monday, the 2nd of October 2019.
Two men whom I believe are family members of the bereaved were around to sympathise with the widower, they lay on the floor and later sat on the couch to receive us.
‘Femi, How and when did it happen, for how long have you been on it that you didn’t carry me along, was she sick or what? Honourable Femi Kehinde queried and could not hold back his confusion and anger and hope the news was just a mere rumour.
He mandated the widower to call the Doctor who treated her last, apparently to determine the cause and source of her death probably because ‘Baba mi oo’ as we call the Honourable is a barrister.
Femi, the husband seems not to have come to terms that the love of his life has just said goodbye to him forever yet , he simply replied the barrage of question from the erudite lawyer mildly
‘Uncle, I think this must just be a TV soap or something from a Nollywood act that we watch. He began,
‘ I often watch this kind of storyline in movies and believe its just a superfluous act. I hear these fallacies on radio station and never really believe they are true anyway.

Only then did we conclude that it was indeed a spiritual attack
How did it happened? I really don’t want to be too forward by getting myself involved to ask question but luckily for me, Femi brought out his phone where both the audio and visual of the girls confession was recorded.
We were all spellbound to hear the damaging confession of the little girl who who was brought into the house by the bereaved sister from Apomu/ Ikire or Asejire axis of Osun state.
Mind you the girl isn’t an idigine of Osun oooo, I learnt propbaly she is from Benue or an Igede
Bose, (the bereaved sister I believed) was called in to explain how it all happened. According to the husband , Femi who said he had to send the girl packing from his house about 2weeks before the demise of his wife because according to him his spirit could no longer accommodate the girl
‘My spirit has not really been in tune with that girl since she stepped into my house and I began marathon prayers all alone for God to take control and right in the middle of the prayers one midnight I heard a voice to send the girl out of my house if I really want peace in my house, I told my wife that morning and of she went with Bose
My wife is a very prayerful person I’m just shocked how she had her way because from her confession she said she often laughed at my wife whenever she is praying.

‘This girl was not the first house maid that would be in this house, I think she is from Benue and we got her in Asejire near Apomu /Ikire but when she came to my house after uncle Femi sent her packing that was when she confessed that she is a witch who has sucked the blood of her madam for six months now.
To be honest immediately this girl came in, we all noticed that aunty was emaciated while the girl suddenly turned cheeky.
Aunty was even joking with her one day that she should please help tell her mates to stop sucking her blood, the girl said ‘alright ma, she will relay her message to the group.
My sister was shocked but none of us took her response seriously not until the fourth day she arrived my home when Uncle Femi sent her packing. I noticed the powdery contents of my baby’s food in her mouth. I thought she stole from not until when my baby started vomiting all the food I gave him then I knew something strange was happening to my baby as I began to scream and descend on the girl
‘What have you done to my baby?’ why is my baby vomiting? I asked while beaten her consistently
She later begged and said she will confess,
‘Confess what?’ Then she began by saying she is a witch and the leader of her group which comprises of about 10 members and that they hold their meetings on the highway.
She said she had tried to kill her baby but because the child his strong willed and God is with him, he vomited all the poison he spilled into his feeding bottle.
Bose said she was shocked and had to call everyone at home to come and hear the confession and recorded her confession
The girl continued by saying that she spilled blood into the pap she was asked to prepared for their grandmother and spit on it enough saliva inside the pap for her to drink too.
We further inquired about other damages she done with her spiritual power and she continued by saying she has as a spiritual button in the house and that whenever she presses it the blood of her madam in would be squeezed and drained into the keg which she sucks together with her group in their meeting
According to Bose, she said the ‘girl witch’ said she fell in love with the first child of madam w a ten year old boy when she arrived and all effort to make the boy fall in love with her proved abortive
‘Madam’s boy is strong spiritually too, all my efforts in wooing him into our society roved abortive as I usually lure him with snack and biscuit even food from me ,this boy would reject it, that was why in our meeting we decided to feed on his mother’s blood ‘.
Bose said that a day after the ‘ girl witch’ confessed, they noticed that her body was swollen with numerous marks of been beaten badly and when we asked her she said it’s true that she was badly beaten by her group for confessing and before we knew it there were wounds all over her as we returned her to where we took her from.
we pleaded with her to please release my sister and she said there is nothing God cannot do only for her to give up the ghost eventually.
This was more than I could bear and when I was asked to pray for the family, the Holy spirit gave me few messages which I related to them for further prayers
On Friday the 6th of October, we went for the funeral ceremony of Mrs Foluke Olushola Joseph (Nee Paseda) whose obituary you see attached to this story.
It was a sad event and my prayers is that God should give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

According to multiple reports, the conjoined babies were given birth to at the First Covenant Hospital in Satellite Town, Lagos, on the 8th of May 2017.
The happily married couple with two children – were shocked on seeing their new babies after the delivery. The twin babies (two boys) have been named James and John.
The financially restrained parents are still in the hospital waiting to carry out a separation surgery on the babies.

But right now, we can confirm to you, that the autopsy result that reads: “Tagbo, died of too much alcohol consumption” is FAKE.

The Medical Examiner’s Office autopsy has revealed that alcohol was a substantial factor in the death of a 35-year-old Tagbo Umeike, the friend of Davido who died on his birthday.
The result also showed that he had alcohol and drugs in his system capable of easing a person into the early stages of hypothermia and eventual death.
The toxicology tests detected alcohol (Bacardi 151, 75.5% Alcohol) and topiramate, a medication for epilepsy and/or migraines in a man’s system, in Tagbo Umeike.’
Tagbo’s blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) was at 0.112, higher than the 0.08 legal limit for normal human being state, the coroner’s office stated.
While his family claims that Tagbo “didn’t have a prescription for any type of topiramate medication”, the coroner’s office stated that the amount of drug in Tagbos’ system was in the “therapeutic range.”
A statement by the coroner’s office said, “Alcohol and topiramate are synergistic. When combined, the effect of either or both drugs is enhanced.”
“Topiramate, like alcohol, can cause dizziness, impaired memory, impaired concentration, poor coordination, confusion and impaired judgment.
“Central nervous system depression, or impairment, combined with cold exposure can hasten the onset of hypothermia and death.”

The circumstances Kenneka Jenkins’ death sparked controversy nationwide. Her body was discovered in a basement walk-in freezer early last month at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. The discovery of her body was made a full 24 hours after she was last seen at a party on the 9th floor of the hotel.

Yesterday, Sunday 8th of October, a very terrible accident happened at tafa Kagarko Local Government Area, along Kaduna-Abuja highway.
According to reports we gathered, a petrol tanker on the highway, apparently, lost control and went up in flames after it tried to avoid a head-to-head collision with a golf car.
The tanker, then skidded off the highway and burst into flames. Scores were killed, and about 15 persons were injured in the accident.
17 houses, were also said to have being destroyed in the inferno.
Governor of the state, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, visited the scene yesterday evening and then sympathized with the people of Tafa and expressed sadness over the lives lost.
The Governor also inspected the new Trailer Park under construction in the area.
Another Trailer Park is being constructed at Maraban Jos, along the Kaduna/Zaria express way, Igabi Local Government.
