The immediate past General Evangelist of The Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Samuel Abiara, in a recent interview with PUNCH said, ‘there is no way corruption will end in Nigeria before Jesus Christ comes’.

There is corruption everywhere. It is just that the way each country does theirs is different. But it seems the issue of graft in Nigeria is indescribable. It is disheartening the amount of money people steal in Nigeria. They stole so much and keep them in bizarre places. Why do they do this knowing that one cannot live forever? I have come to realise that looters are only rich compared to wealthy people.

He continued to say, ‘the difference between the two is that those who steal public funds are only rich. They steal for their greed and self alone. But wealthy people work hard for their money. They work so hard to empower people by establishing firms where many work. They are conscious that they have to leave legacies long after their death. For example, Alhaji Aliko Dangote belongs to the group of the wealthy. He empowers many and establishes companies so many can earn a living. My advice to the greedy ones among us is that they should strive to do work that will speak well for them after death’.

A drunk man who tried to impress a woman he met at a bar raced after her in a rented Lamborghini – but then crashed into a tree.

In a bid to win over the woman, the driver chased her in the Lamborghini and tried to impress by overtaking her on the street, she told police.

Traffic camera footage shows the Lamborghini Gallardo, rented for £648 per day, swerving right and then left on a highway.

The driver then veers into the other lane, losing control, before slamming into a tree.

The 22-year-old driver, whose surnamed is Teng, was found guilty of drink-driving and has been detained for further questioning in Jinhua City, China.

To add salt to the wounds, the woman then drove by the crash site and recorded a video mocking the man trying to win her affection.

But then she was also arrested for driving without a licence.

A 15 year old teenager, Kabiru Idi has been arrested by the Niger state Police Command for having sex with a goat.

Idi who lives in Gbeganu area of Bosso Local Government Area of the state was caught having sex with the goat which is said to be one of the animals that roam the neighborhood.

Suspecting neighbours reported Idi to a the police operatives attached to Kpakungu Division in Minna who following a tip-off got to Idi’s residence to catch him in the act.

Neighbours who spoke after the arrest said that this is the second time the suspect has committed the same offence in the area as they stated that they are getting wary of the acts of the teenager expressing fear over his preferences, The Nation learnt.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Babalola Adewole who confirmed the incident applauded the operatives attached to Kpakungu police Division on patrol for apprehending the suspect adding that the suspect would be charged to court on conclusion of investigations.

He urged members of the public to always report any suspicious person to the nearest police station in their areas to help police to carry out its duties in a dignified manner.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been declared a non-terrorist organisation, by the US government, PUNCH reports.

Following President Buhari’s attempt at squashing the group alongside a judicial backing by a Federal High Court in Abuja, outlawing the group and its activities in the country, it seems IPOB isn’t relenting.

Speaking with Punch on Friday, the spokesman for the American Embassy in Nigeria, Russell Brooks, revealed that theUS government does not view IPOB as a terrorist group.

He said, “The United States Government is strongly committed to Nigeria’s unity. Important political and economic issues affecting the Nigerian people, such as the allocation of resources, are worthwhile topics for respectful debate in a democracy.

Within the context of unity, we encourage all Nigerians to support a de-escalation of tensions and peaceful resolution of grievances. The Indigenous People of Biafra is not a terrorist organisation under US law.”

The police at Ikotun Division have arrested two women and detained them at the station while the third suspect escaped, for their unruly behaviour by publicly fighting over a man for sex in Lagos.

The incident happened at a popular joint at Governor’s Road by Landmog Bus Stop in Ikotun area of Lagos State. The suspects identified as Amaka, Chioma and Blessing were said to have engaged in a public brawl after a customer who came to drink at the joint indicated interested to take a woman home.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the three women indicated interest at the same time and were said to have scrambled for the man to the embarrassment of other customers at the joint. However, the scrambling turned to full blown fight and fracas after the man chose Blessing to the astonishment of Amaka and Chioma.

It was gathered that Chioma and Amaka protested and told the man that he cannot take Blessing because men had been sleeping with her for some days while the two of them have not had any sex for days and had not made any money for those days. They reportedly suggested that the man should agree to take the three of them at the same time since he could afford to take care of them.

The man agreed but Blessing rejected the idea and said she was not ready for such arrangement because she would deliver the services the man would want alone.The argument resulted in hot exchange words and degenerated later to a fight among the three women.

Some of the properties at the jointed were damaged during the fight. The manager of the joint then had to contact the police and the suspects were arrested and taken to the station.

At the station, the suspects told the police that Blessing had taken the few customers that came to the joint to solicit for sex at their own detriment and she had refused sharing the only man that agreed to take three of them for the romp.

When P.M.EXPRESS visited Ikotun Police Division, the suspects were still detained there but the DPO was not around to comment on the matter.

However, police sources said the suspects will be charged to court for their alleged conduct in the area. It was gathered that Blessing has been on the run after the fight, while the man in question abandoned them and settled for another woman.

The Nigerian Army yesterday said it has successfully curtailed the activities of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra in the South East while clashes between farmers and herdsmen within the region had been prevented by troops in the past two weeks.

Providing an update on Exercise Egwu Eke II (Python Dance II) the army further said the activities of kidnappers and other criminals had been checkmated in the region while scores of people had been arrested and handed over to the police for prosecution.

The army was however silent on the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB who was alleged to be on the run after a siege laid on his compound in Aba, Abia State.

A statement signed by Col. Sagir Musa, Deputy Director of Public Relations, Nigerian Army, however reassured the public that the army was poised to maintain peace and orderliness in the entire South East.

The statement reads: “Following the commencement of Exercise EGWU EKE II on Friday 15th September 2017 in 82 Division Area of Responsibility, simultaneous activities have started in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Cross River states without hitch.

“The essence of the exercise is to enhance troops’ preparedness and proficiency in dealing with emerging security challenges peculiar to the South-Eastern Region, such as kidnappings, armed robbery, communal crisis, farmers-herdsmen clashes, cultism, violent agitations and insurgency, amongst others.

“One interesting aspect of the exercise is that it is multi-agency in nature and execution, thus enhancing synergy of efforts among the services, security and response agencies. Relevant para-military organisations such as the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Department of State Security Service, Federal Road Safety Commission, National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency and Nigerian Immigration Service are all synergising and collaborating in the exercise to ensure attainment of these objectives.

“Similarly, there are elaborate humanitarian activities associated with it, hence, the 82 Division Nigerian Army embarked on free medical services.”

He said that despite the initial opposition to Exercise EGWU EKE II by the outlawed IPOB members and their sympathisers, the general area of the South East, especially Aba in Abia State is now fully stabilised.

He said: “The usual violent activities of the outlawed IPOB members and their symphatisers and unpatriotic elements, the general area of the South East, especially Aba in Abia State, is now fully stabilised.

“The usual violent activities of the outlawed Biafra National Guards (manning check points and extorting money from traders and motorists) have now been checkmated.

“Similarly the outlawed Biafra terrorists’ group presence is no longer visible and people go about their normal businesses without fear, let or hindrance.”

A young lady is reported dead while performing some gymnastics in the popular ‘One Corner’ dancing competition in the Central Region.

The one corner dance is a crazy dance accompanied with extra energy that requires one secludes oneself in a corner and perform a sexually stimulating dance.

There are already talks that this dance may soon take the dancing and music scene in the whole country with a bang.

Both young and old have since been mesmerized by the One Corner fever as they take turns to show off their skills.

Unfortunately for the young lady who was seriously showing some skills when the dance hits the street of the Central region met her untimely death.

The lady whose name was not given is believed to be in her twenties.

She felt unconscious while performing some dancing prone moves.

According to an eyewitness, duet to the crazy moves many were of the view that, the young lady was showing some skills while lying on the floor.

It was established that the deceased, currently under investigation, had her body jerking after the crazy dance was still over.

However, speaking to the media, Families of the deceased, indicated that, the lady whose name was not given had a history of Seizure sickness and ignored it to participate in the crazy performance.
