36 year old Naiphum Promratee, and his friends had gone to a temple in rural Phetchabun province, Thailand, when he was reportedly seen holding a bowl of rice above the huge bear before it suddenly snatched him into its enclosure.
The animal knocked him unconscious as it dragged him back towards its cage.
After failed attempts to rescue him,one of the group ran into the enclosure and battered the bear in its cage with a pole while friends rescued Naiphum.
Naiphum was rushed to hospital where he is now recovering and able to talk.

Amidst the tension that the ailing Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari may return to the country soon after over 80 days abroad, it has however been confirmed that the Former President Olusegun Obasanjo visited Buhari at the Abuja House in London.
According to report from Tribune Online, ex-President Obasanjo had a warm greeting with President Buhari before both went in for a closed-door meeting that lasted 40 minutes.
The source affirmed that:
“After the exchange of courtesies, Buhari and Obasanjo left for another room in the house where they held a 40-minute meeting.”
Furthermore, it was revealed that Obasanjo was accompanied to London by former Governor of Osun state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who however didn’t not partake in the closed-door meeting.
“The leaders were said to have come out of the meeting a few minutes before 10.00 p.m., following which the former president and Oyinlola were seen off by President Buhari.”
It can be adduced from the Saturday trip that got known today that the President is doing fine with his health and may even return to Nigeria sooner than expected.
“Buhari, who was said to have expressed gratitude for the visit, also told Oyinlola that: “Excellency, you are looking really fine” with both Obasanjo and Oyinlola reportedly replying that they were happy to see that he (Buhari) was looking fine too”, report from the leaders’ meeting in London stated.

Abraham Udoh, a man said to be in the middle age of fifty-two was paraded by the Police for selling his two-year-old son for a sum of N150,000.
The culprit who lives in Cross River got exposed after he committed the act without the consent of the wife who is also the mother of the child.
Reporting the case, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, the state’s Commissioner of Police, said the suspect sold their baby to an uunknown woman in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state but got nabbed in spite of the no consent of the wife who repeorted the case to the Police.
The Police Boss said:
“On July 24, a case of child trafficking was reported at our Uwanse Divisional Headquarters here in Calabar. One Esther Abraham reported that his husband sold their two-year old son without her consent.
“Upon investigation, Udoh revealed that he sold the child for N150,000 to an unknown woman residing in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. When he was arrested, N130,000 was recovered from him and registered as an exhibit.
“Investigation is in progress to arrest the buyer and recover the child before they will be charged to court.”
However, Udoh admitted to the offence on the ground that he needed money.
“Actually, I sold the child because I needed some money. I have six children and I am really sorry for not telling my wife about it”, he confessed.

I have been married for a year and half. I thought hubby and i have been living happily and i would’ve swore he was faithful. A few days ago i saw that a random lady messaged him on Facebook and they got talking. I was shocked at first to see that he was chatting her up.

From today, August 3rd, Lagos bus conductors will start wearing uniform.
This was disclosed by the National President of the Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria, BCAN, Comrade Israel Adeshola, in an interview with Vanguard.
According to him, the Lagos State government has approved the association’s uniforms and badges with name tag and identification numbers for easy identification of registered conductors.
He said the use of badges on uniforms is to address criminal tendencies by some bus conductors, calling on Lagosians to support the initiative. According to him;
“The re-branding of bus conductors in the state which is in partnership with the Lagos State Government is a project that has been in the master plan of the state government in a way to stem criminal activities and also protect the lives and properties of Lagosians. “

The Nigerian Police on Tuesday arraigned a popular Ibadan based radio presenter, Mr Oriyomi Hamzat, before Magistrate A. A. Adebisi of the Oyo State Magistrate court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan over allegation of murdering a 17-year old boy.
The 37 years old Hamzat was docked alongside four others; 27 years old Idowu Ibrahim, 31 years old Mohammed Bashir, 23 years old Taiwo olaronke and 23 years old Yusuff Toyeeb Ajisafe.
The five suspects were arraigned at the Magistrate Court 3 on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and murder.
Hamzat was arrested by the State’s police command after the body of the boy was found in his car. The deceased was an orphan being raised in an unregistered orphanage home, allegedly belonging to the suspect.
The prosecutor, Mr Sunday Fatola, alleged that Hamzat and other defendants on July 21, 2017, at about 4am, conspired together to commit murder and unlawfully caused the death of a boy identified as Peter, by inflicting an injury on his head and body,
Magistrate A.A. Adebisi, after the pleas were taken, ordered the defendants to be remanded in Agodi Prison pending the legal advice from the state Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and adjourned the case till September 5, 2017.

Malaysian based Nigerian Baller Ray Hushpuppi has donated the sum of 500k to a young Nigerian man with spinal cord issue through kokun foundation
Kokun took to instagram to show an act of gratitude towards the gucci lover.
According to the philanthropist, Hushpuppi’s donation touched him deeply as he could not control his emotion when typing out the words he dropped on his page. To him, the Nigerian man who once lived in Malaysia is nothing compared to the social media condemnation he has gotten in recent times.
Kokun described Hushpuppi as a man with pure heart. Conscious of the fact that some people may see his post in the wrong light, he was quick to defend himself by saying he did not write what he did to gain the praises of the latter. He drove his point home by saying it is normal for one to show appreciation after receiving so much from a person.
The recipient of the donation was identified as @i_am_tunde007. The young man has finally been given the grace to get the needed treatment. Kokun urged Nigerians to help him celebrate Hushpuppi for the handsome donation.

The remains of late Hajia Hadiza Sule Lamido arrived Dutse International Airport this evening – Hadiza, the second daughter of immediate past Governor of Jigawa State, Dr. Sule Lamido died in an Indian hospital on Saturday morning, July 30th, after a brief illness.
The beauty was aged 38, she will be buried on Thursday, August 3, at the home town of Sule Lamido in Brinin Kudu local Government Area of Jigawa State.
Born in 1979, late Hadiza is survived by husband and three children.

A 30-year old private driver, Mr Emeka Osuh has been charged before a Lagos court after he was caught having sex with the wife of his boss in Lagos.
The director reportedly sacked his wife but the driver was arraigned for misconduct by obtaining from his wife and stealing his goods worth N900,000.
The incident happened at Awolowo Way in Ikeja, Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the director (name withheld) who owned a beverages company employed the suspect as private and company driver for distribution of their products.
It was learnt that the director from Edo State married his wife who is from Anambra and they had only a child before the incident happened.
Due to the nature of his business, he was always travelling to ensure the smooth running of his business.
However, his constant travelling allegedly affected his wife emotionally.
The wife was said to be lonely and she found solace in Osuh who usually came to sleep with her in the house when her husband was not around.
But the escapade came to the open when the husband who had suspected their moves deliberately came back early in the morning, entered their bedroom but did not find his wife.
He then went to the guest house where the driver usually slept and met his wife and driver there in bed.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that both the wife and the driver pleaded with him and asked for forgiveness.
The director told them that he had forgiven them but his wife will have to go back to her family while the driver was relieved of his job to enable them to marry.
He reportedly took their only child and sent both of them away.
He thereafter was said to have audited his company and discovered that the driver had stolen his products worth N900,000.
The driver was arrested and charged before Ejigbo Magistrates court for misconduct and stealing under the Criminal Code.
He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs J.O.E Adeyemi granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

A 200 Level student of computer science in Imo State University, Owerri, Daniel Ikechukwu, 22; and his 18-year-old accomplice, Goodluck Kalu, were on Tuesday night apprehended in Owerri, the state capital, for alleged robbery.
A student (name withheld) told our correspondent on Wednesday that the suspects were arrested while allegedly robbing students of their phones, money and other valuables at gunpoint.
She said the incident took place along the IMSU front gate before the extension area of the varsity, between 9:30pm and 10pm.
A Police source who refused to disclose his name because he was not permitted to speak to the press said while two of the suspected gunmen were caught, the leader of the gang escaped.
He said, “We received a distress call from some student leaders that some boys were robbing students, mostly girls, of their money, phones and other valuables and we quickly moved operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad of the command to the scene.”
He explained that with strategic approach without exchange of gunfire, two of the three-man gang, including a student of IMSU who was writing the ongoing second semester examinations, were nabbed.
The IMSU undergraduate, who confessed to the crime, told our correspondent from the cell on Wednesday that it was unfortunate that his younger colleague who led him into crime escaped.
Ikechukwu said, “It was my younger colleague who is in year one that led me into crime.
“He uses fake gun to rob students, especially female students. He convinced me to join him. I recruited Goodluck, who was my neighbour. This is the second time we did it together.”
Our correspondent gathered that while Kalu hails from Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Ikechukwu is an indigene of Ngor Okpala LGA, both in Imo State.
Confirming the incident to our correspondent, the state Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, said the two boys were arrested and a fake metal they disguised as a gun which they used in instilling fears on their victims was recovered.
Ezike said, “This is one of the results of our overt and covert strategic policing. We are aware that some of the higher institutions in the state are writing their second semester and degree examinations.
“And we know that there would be upsurge in cult and crime-related activities on the campuses. We had to move our men to Imo State University, Federal University of Technology, Owerri; and Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, to deal with the situations.”
