Imo state Police command has apprehended three suspects in connection to an alleged fake Facebook account alleged to be used to impersonate the Chief of Staff to Imo state Governor, Chief Uche Nwosu.

Parading the suspects at the state command headquarters, Owerri, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Enwerem informed that the suspects:

**Nwokoma Ezekachi

**Reuben Ogwuonye Ubongwung and

**Nwaeguzor Hope Miracle,

created the alleged fake Facebook social network account using the name of Chief Uche Nwosu and uploaded pictures of his states’ functions for the aim of defrauding unsuspecting individuals of huge sums of money.

Information has it that through this medium, the syndicate has duped over 70 million naira from people.

According to DSP Enwerem, the suspects posted on the site transactions relating to allocation for lands, award of contracts, fertilizer distribution and employment opportunities and used that medium to defraud unsuspecting members of the public who had a conviction that they were dealing with the real Chief of Staff of cash running into millions of Naira.

He stated that a thorough investigation carried out by operatives of the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) of the command led to the arrest of the suspects, pointing out that investigations had been concluded and the suspects would be charged to court accordingly.

However, the suspects denied any involvement in the alleged crime.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria, on Tuesday reminded Nigerians that it was no longer in the business of issuing them visas.

The Embassy’s Charge d’ Affaires, Mr Michel Deleen, told the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) in Lagos that the Embassy had since 2013 swapped itsvisa issuance processes in Nigeria.

Deleen said that the Embassy had since 2013 swapped its visas issuance to Nigerians with the French Consulate General in Lagos and the Embassy of Belgium in Abuja.

“Let me remind Nigerians that since 2013, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria had signed agreements with the French Consulate-General in Lagos and the Embassy of Belgium in Abuja.

“What this means is that we have swapped our visa application processes in Nigeria with the French Consulate-General in Lagos and the Embassy of Belgium in Abuja.

“Let me remind Nigerians that under these agreements, any Nigerian that wants to visit the Netherlands for business, study or tourism should always process their visa applications through the French Consulate-General in Lagos and the Embassy of Belgium in Abuja,” he said.

Deleen also enjoined Nigerians to always apply for visas to the Netherlands, through VFS Global to the French Consulate-General in Lagos and the Embassy of Belgium in Abuja.

The Charge d’ Affaires said that it was important for Nigerians and other nationals in Nigeria to know that VFS Global was the internationally-authorised organisaton for receiving all visa applications.

“Let me also advise anyone seeking visas to the Netherlands through the French Consulate-General in Lagos and the Embassy of Belgium in Abuja,to always first apply through VFS Global.

“When you first apply to VFS Global for visas to the Netherlands,VFS Global would thereafter send them to the French Consulate-General in Lagos and the Embassy of Belgium in Abuja for processing,’’ he said.

VFS Global is the world’s largest outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide.

The company manages administrative and non-judgmental tasks related to visas, passports, identity management and other citizen services for its client governments.

Most of them are wise, they know that your a fool and chip liar. Some of them fall for your chip lies; but that is never my business.

A woman has reportedly bashed the head of her husband for daring to complain about her cooking.

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the military service chiefs to tackle the secret army formed by the Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB).

According to the Chief of Defence Staff, Abayomi Olonisakin, the issue of the alleged Secret Service of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Boko Haram menace and the various security threats plaguing the country were among what was discussed at the closed-door meeting that held on Tuesday between President Buhari and the Service Chiefs.

Olonisakin disclosed that Buhari has issued directives that will soon be carried out by the military and the security agencies.

ABUJA-THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has fixed 120 as minimum cut-off mark for admission into universities in the 2017 Academic calendar.

Similarly, the board pegged entry qualifications benchmark into polytechnics, colleges of education and monotechnics at 100.

But candidates seeking degree admission into the colleges of education must equally possess 120 like that of the universities.

THE NIGERIAN CRIMINALS, WHO GIVE NIGERIA THE BAD NAME: THE CASE OF UDE UCHE UDE

Last night, a Nigerian lady, by name, Comfort, contacted me and DPA to request help against her husband who had duped her in a big marriage fraud.

The man’s name is Ude Uche Ude. The gist of it is that Ude traveled to America and contracted fraudulent marriage in America for green card purpose. For his scheme to work, two women were duped. He duped Comfort in Nigeria and duped the American woman he used for his fraudulent green card.

In her lamentation, Comfort said:

“I need an advice from you Sir please help me. I married legally to a man by name Ude Uche Ude. He went to USA for in search of a greener pasture. On reaching to USA one thing led to another. He picked a lady there as a wife and he divorce me without my knowledge or consent.

“After the incident he told me to go a head and remarry that he has divorced our marriage. Okay, give me the divorce paper, never, help me to stand own my own no way. He is doing well as a Pharmacist in USA.”

I decided to investigate the complaint of Comfort. (Remember you always urge me to hear the other side, against my better judgment that the other side is usually too rooguish to be heard yet). I called Ude Uche Ude. I was as polite as I could be. He attacked me.

You don’t have to be a lawyer to understand that if Comfort is right, Ude has committed a serious crime in the United States. Is it not surprising that Ude would be threatening me?

The underscore the criminal conduct of Ude, Comfort queried:

“He came to USA as a married man. What happened to the married?”

This is a very legutimate question. Without properly divorcing Comfort, he remains married to her and his marriage to the American lady will be void. And every immigration benefit obtained based on false marriage will be ultimately invalid.
