A 20-year-old man, Nurudeen Akintoye, has been arrested in Ogun State for allegedly having unlawful sexual intercourse with an 18-year-old deaf and dumb girl (name withheld).
According the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the incident occurred on June 7, 2017 at about 9.45p.m when the suspect who resided in Ajura town community in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area lured the victim into a bush and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.
The victim, who the parents claimed was a virgin before the incident, was bleeding profusely from her private part, the sight which infuriated the people of the area who wanted to lynch the suspect, but for the timely intervention of the DPO of Owode Egba division, CSP Sheu Alao, who led his men to the scene and rescued the suspect from the mob. He was later whisked to the station.
The victim was taken to General Hospital in Owode Egba for immediate medical attention.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has directed that the suspect be transferred to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of the state investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The CP, therefore, warned members of the public to desist from applying jungle justice on anybody suspected of committing any crime emphasising “all suspects are presumed to be innocent until a court of competent jurisdiction states otherwise.”
A retired Captain in the Ghanaian Army wants death penalty for those involved in the killing of a military officer, Major Maxwell Mahama who was lynched by a mob at Denkyura Obuasi, the central region of Ghana.
Captain Budu Koomson (rtd) believes the execution of the perpetrators will send a strict message to people against mob injustice.
In an interview with Adom News, Koomson said the ceremony to honour the fallen soldier will be a faze if those involved don’t face the full rigorous of the law.
“We’ve atoned ourselves; we’ve told God, Maxwell and ourselves that we are sorry so a swift investigations investigation of what happened, trial and the consequences applied.
“If they are found guilty, the extreme punishment allowed should be given and if the death penalty is still in our status books and they [suspects] qualify for death, let us execute them by firing squad.
According to police reports, 52 suspects, including eight women have been remanded in police custody following the gruesome murder of Major Maxwell Adam Mahama, who was buried last week.
A graduate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, Michael Adegbehin, pictured above died mysteriously after spending a birthday night out with his girlfriend, simply identified as Blessing, last thursday, June 8th.
According to muluple reports, Michael turned 27 on thursday, and after he celebrated his birthday with friends, he decided to lover to his elder brother’s house located at Agbe Road, Abule Egba area of Lagos State.
After they arrived at his place, Michael then sent a text message out to his brother to inform him that he’d be spending the night with Blessing inside his one room apartment. His brother out of courtesy, decided to sleep somewhere else so as to allow the lovers have some privacy.
The next morning, Friday June 9th, His elder brother returned to his home only to discover the lifeless body of Michael inside his house.. Blessing was no where to be found, and she cut off all communications.
The elder brother rushed Micheal to a hospital nearby where he was certified dead. His remains have been deposited at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja.
Blessing has since reported herself to the police station and a detailed investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed that a policeman, Sgt. Thomas Agada, has committed suicide after shooting his wife and maid.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday at Masaka in Karu Local Government Area of the state.
The command’s spokesman, Mr. Kennedy Idirisu, told newsmen in Lafia that late Agada served at the Police command in the FCT, but resided at Masaka, where the incident occurred.
Idirisu explained that before killing himself, the deceased had shot and injured his wife and maid at their shop around De Memories Hotel in Masaka.
He said the wife and maid were currently receiving treatment at the Asokoro General Hospital in the FCT, adding that investigation had begun to ascertain the motive behind the shooting.
“We cannot say for sure now what could have led to the dastardly act but we believe that the wife, currently being treated would be of great help to our investigation, once she stabilises,” Idirisu said.

Police on Sunday, June 11, paraded billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudidumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, before newsmen in Lagos.
The Inspector-General’s Intelligence Response Team (IRT) led by ACP Abba Kyari had on Saturday confirmed his arrest saying Evans is one of the most wanted suspected kidnappers in Nigeria.
Evans, a native of Nnewi in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State was arrested at his Magodo residence in Lagos.
“IRT headquarters in Abuja is celebrating the arrest of the most wanted brilliant and notorious high profile kidnapper in Nigeria.” Kyari said.
“He has collected several billions of Naira as ransom in the last seven years as the kingpin of kidnappers. He was arrested at about 1.00p.m on Saturday in his residence in Magodo Estate, Lagos,” Kyari added.

2. After anintense gun battle between that lasted several hours, CHUKWUDI DUMEME ONUAMADIKE and his gang were overpowered by the Superior Fire Power of the Joint Special Forces and he was arrested at MAGODO ESTATE, IKEJA AREA OF LAGOS STATE.
3. CHUKWUDI DUMEME ONUAMADIKE a.k.a EVANS was first declared wanted in August, 2013 when he masterminded the attempted kidnap of CHIEF VINCENT OBIANUDO, the owner of Young Shall Grow Motors in Festac, Lagos, where a Policeman attached to the victim foiled the attack and killed three ‘3’ of Evans gang members but also lost his life in the process. Some of Evans gang members were subsequently arrested, but he regrouped after with several gangs and became more vicious and unleashes terror in the mentioned States of the Federation.
4. EVANS and his gangs keep their victim kidnapped in Lagos Area at House No. 21 Prophet Asaye Close New Igando, Lagos State until the ransom is paid to him. Ransom money are paid to him in Millions of Dollars, some victims are kept for upward of six to seven months until the last penny is paid. He never reduces his tagged ransom money. None of his gang members know his house.
5. MODUS OPERADI OF EVANS
In every kidnap attack he has a separate armed group that kidnapped victim with him and has another armed group who takes over the victim to their hideouts and prevent them from escaping. The members of the two ‘2’ groups don’t know each other. They complied with Evans instructions.
EVANS, and the dreaded vampire who died during a gun duel with the Police Special Forces led by IRT and Imo State Police Command in a forest in River State early this year are axis of evil in kidnappings in Southern Nigeria States and some Northern State. Thisis a huge success for the Nigeria Police Force.
The Force will build on this success and continue to prevent kidnap cases and criminality generally in the country, and ensure prompt detection of those crimes that cannot be prevented, and also ensure that perpetrators are arrested, investigated and prosecuted.

7. EVANS KIDNAPPING EXPLOITS IN LAGOS INCLUDES;
a. Mbarikatta William Uboma, 35, kidnapped June 16th, 2012 at about 11.am on his arrival from Hungary while he was close to his house. He was in his Toyota Car 2010 model in company of his brother to drop him at his house when a Passat car emerged from nowhere and blocked his car. They blindfolded him and forcefully abducted him to an unknown destination. They later demanded a ransom of N10M. However, N2M was later paid while they collected other personal accessories. He was finally dropped at Okota on the third day.
b. Paul Cole, 34, from Ohafia in Abia State. A Director with Ocean Glory Commodities, Apapa, kidnapped August 3rd, 2012 at Festac Town together with his General Manager, Jude Ugoje and another staff, PiriyeGogo, and taken to an unknown destination. They demanded for N10M. On August 6th 2012, they collected N5M ransom at Maza-maza area of Lagos State.
c. Mohammed Jamal, 22, a Lebanese, kidnapped on August 19, 2012 at Ajah by three armed men, taken away blindfolded. N7M ransom was later paid at Ojo Barracks.
d. Kingsley Nwokenta, 34, kidnapped September 19, 2012 after he left Lebanana Bar in Festac at Mile two under bridge. Later, paid N1.5M ransom while they made away with his black Toyota Venza and other accessories.
e. Anthony Ozoanidobi, 41, kidnapped in October 10th 2012 along Marwa road Satellite Town. Ransom of N1.5M paid after which he was released at Apple Junction, Amuwo-Odofin.
f. Leo Abraham 58, kidnapped August 20, 2012. Paid ransom of N5M and was later released along Badagry road, Lagos.
g. OjukwuCosmas, 45, sells Toyota parts at Aspanda Trade Fair, Kidnapped January 21, 2016 at Festac Town. It was not clear when and how he was released.
h. James Uduji; kidnapped close to his house at 7th Avenue Festac late last year. Held for 6 six weeks. Paid $1M.
i. Chief Raymond Okoye – Odu- Na –Ichida, kidnapped 2015. Paid $1M as ransom, held captive for 2months
j. UcheOkoroafor, trader at Alaba, kidnapped 2015, held captive for three (3) months, paid $1M.
k. Elias Ukachukwu kidnapped November 2015. Paid $1M. Date of release unknown but it was gathered that his abductors were insisting on another $1M claiming family members were rude to them during negotiation.
l. Francis Umeh also a spare parts dealer at Aspanda, kidnapped July 2016 at RajiRasaki Estate, released after two months in captivity.

Named, Chukwudi Dumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, who was arrested in Lagos was alsoe behind the kidnap attempt on prominent transporter and owner of Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo.
Evans, a native of Umudim, in Nnewi, Anambra State was arrested at his Magodo residence on Saturday, June 10 by the Joint Forces led by the Intelligence Response Team, the Lagos State Police Command’s Anti-kidnapping Unit and Technical and Intelligent Unit of the Nigerian Force.
In August 27, 2013, Chief Obianodo was attacked by some gunmen in Festac Town. The attack left four persons dead including two of the gunmen, a police officer and Obianodo’s driver while the billionaire sustained bullet wounds.
The Lagos State Government on Sunday declared Monday public holiday to mark June 12 celebration in the State, saying that the State remains committed to the ideals of the annulled 1993 Presidential election.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tunji Bello on behalf of the State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, the government said the holiday was in honour of the ideals which June 12, 1993 Presidential election represents being a day that the country experienced an election that was adjudged as the freest and fairest in Nigeria’s history.
The Governor said 24 years after, the ideals of June 12 commemoration were worth celebrating, describing the day as one of the most defining moments of the country’s political history which has positively shaped its democratic rule.
Governor Ambode said the time has come for Nigerians to go beyond the commemoration and entrench a viable democracy as a way to immortalise the late presumed winner of June 12, 1993 Presidential election, Chief M.K.O Abiola through the practice of true federalism and conduct of credible and fair elections.
He said: “June 12, 1993 is a day we must not forget in the annals of our democratic history. Our present democratic experience may still be far from the ideal but we must all make concerted efforts to entrench fiscal federalism which is the only way to achieve true nationhood.”
Continuing, Governor Ambode said part of the enduring lessons of June 12 election is that it imbued the patriotic and nationalistic zeal in all Nigerians to speak with one voice to make a political choice devoid of ethnic, racial or social sentiments.
“On June 12, 1993, majority of Nigerians across all divides demonstrated through the ballot box that irrespective of class or ethnic sympathies, the Nigerian people are united and would always join hands to promote our unifying values,” he said.
Governor Ambode said though the peoples’ hope was dashed with the annulment of the elections by the military junta, the lessons of the elections cannot be wished away despite subterranean efforts by many to do, describing June 12 as the real Democracy Day in Nigeria.
“We owe it a duty to genuinely immortalize the fallen heroes of the June 12 struggle nationally and deepen our democratic values to ensure that never again will such anti-people action be allowed to take place”.
He also assured that his administration remains committed to the ideals of June 12 by carrying out people-oriented programmes across the State and making life more comfortable for the people. Meanwhile, the State Government, through the office of Civic Engagement, has perfected arrangement for the annual public symposium which will hold at the De Roof, LTV 8 in Ikeja, to celebrate June 12.

A Nigerian national has been nabbed by authorities in India with over 1,200 grams of hard drugs and other illicit substances.
This was disclosed in a media briefing Saturday by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after the bust at a Delhi railway station, Gujarat Headline writes.
Peter Chinedu Okafor, 27, ran out of luck early Saturday when operatives of the NCB Ahmedabad, led by Cop Hariom Gandhi, stormed the train he was travelling in at Vadodara Railway Station, and found the drugs on him.
He’d cleverly hidden the consignment in the sole of his shoe, unaware that the Ahmedabad NCB team was onto the trick.
Substances found on him include 843 grams of Amphetamine, 65 grams of Ecstasy tablets and 255 grams of another unnamed substance – all hidden in his shoes.
The NCB had yet to ascertain the source of supply, to whom and where the stock was intended and at what rate it was to be sold.
Authorities said the case has been registered against Mr. Okafor while investigation is underway to unravel the entire network.
Okafor’s arrest comes a month after another Nigerian, Eneh Wilfred, was arrested with $1.4 million worth of cocaine by NCB operatives.
Indian authorities have intensified the crackdown on drug abuse/trade, leading to the arrest of over 14 Nigerians in the past five years.
Protest ensued at the Ikotun area of Lagos, after one ‘Aboy Life of Jingah‘ was allegedly shot dead by SARS operatives, at Oyins Holiday Inn, for refusing a phone search.
The young man simply identified with the name, was allegedly shot dead by operatives of the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) in Lagos on suspicion that he was a ‘Yahoo Boy’.
According to reports making rounds online, Aboy was reportedly gunned down at Oyins Holiday Inn, a hotel in the Ikotun area of Lagos for ‘trying to run away‘ after a policeman asked him to unlock his phone for inspection.
His death has sparked an outrage among friends who are now demanding justice.

The Police in the Eastern region of Ghana are on the trail of a man who allegedly severed the left arm of his girlfriend in Suhum Saturday morning.
The suspect, Joseph Tei, disappeared after committing the crime and the police have declared him wanted. The victim is, however, responding to treatment at the Suhum Government Hospital according to health officials.
According to Joy Online, the Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ebenezer, who confirmed the incident has appealed to the general public, especially around Suhum to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect but could also not describe how the assault came about.
“We are looking for a suspect. We have declared him wanted because he severed the left hand of his girlfriend,” ASP Tetteh said.
The incident was reported to the police by the brother of the victim.

Recall that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Saturday also asked Biafrans and Southerners in the north to leave the north and come back home.
After the Arewa youth’s quit declaration about the Igbos leaving their zone, a young man has reportedly taken a bold step by moving out in order for peace to reign.
The unidentified man who can be seen carrying his suitcase on his head is alleged to be the first Igbo man to leave Northern Nigeria following the unrest.
The photos which have received over 1.6k shares and 700 likes on Facebook, was shared by user, Chidubem Uchenna, who wrote alongside it:

An Instagram user, iamdeematt, has shared his hilarious story of how a confused Lagos bus driver took him and other passengers in the bus on an early Sunday morning road trip around the state.
According to him, the driver had taken them through about 4 routes before finally asking his conductor where their destination was.
He wrote:
On a beautiful Sunday morning, a BMT/Lagbus driver either confused or high on weed, from abule egba/toll gate to Oshodi decided to take his passengers on a morning cruise. From abule-egba to General hospital, through to anifowose area of Ikeja, then found his way back to ile-zik, and turned back towards Iyana-ipaja and then asked his ticketter WHERE ARE WE GOING SEF? It was not a funny scene between d passengers and the driver. ??
Nollywood actress, Silverline Nancy Onuoha, is one fast rising starlet who is prepared to take the Nollywood industry by storm.
Though she only has a little moviies to her credit, the Enugu State-born, Lagos bred, and Kenya schooled light-skinned, slim-frame beauty has always had the acting DNA in her blood.

“Yes, I have small boobs but my nipples are bombshell. You don’t have to own monstrous boobs to feel you have great boobs. In fact the main treat of a boob is the nipple and I have the longest, most tantalising and sexiest nipples you have ever seen,” she declared.
A 42-year-old man has asked an Alakuko Customarily Court in Lagos State, to end his marriage to his wife of six years because of her untidy behaviour.
Mr. John Odusanya told the court that his wife, Abosede, was an untidy woman who does not care about the wellbeing of the home and her children. He further accused his wife of being lazy and dirty.
“My wife sometimes goes for days without taking her bath. I have cautioned her several times but she is not willing to change. She smells and it really puts me off s3x.
“Taking care of our two children is a big task for her I started bathing our children the day I discovered they had body odour. I would wash, cook and clean while my wife sits and watches TV until NEPA takes the light.
“I met her in church and I thought I had found a good Christian woman. She uses foul language in front of our children and gossips a lot. She stopped going to the shop I opened for her because she said provision business is not lucrative.
“I don’t want to commit adultery so I want a divorce so that I can move on with my life,” he said.
The wife was however not in court. The case was consequently adjourned till August 4.
US trained investigative and controversial journalist, now turned political activist, Kemi Olunloyo who regained her freedom this previous Monday from Kuje prison, Port Harcourt where she was remanded in a defamation case, has disclosed more on her life back in prison, adding that she got married while in there.
The 52-year-old Ibadan state born in a post on Instagram spoke also on how being in prison got her close to God that she even had to give time to the Bible that she ripped in 2016 as being a “storybook” of fiction.
She quoted as thus:

I GOT MARRIED LIKE I PROMISED TO IN 2017. Yes I got MARRIED to someone in prison. This is my FIRST SUNDAY away from #PHMax prison. I lean towards Catholism and Islam which I grew up in and attended the Catholic church inside the prison. There are up to 4 churches and a mosque in there plus the Pentecostal churches that visits inmates weekly and bring us the word of God and provisions. I became a “bible reader”. The same bible I ripped in 2016 as being a “storybook” of fiction may have been real. I studied what the prophets of old said. It seems unreal but these things likely happened.
But why are we commercializing religion and brainwashing the congregation? I will become a Woman of God very soon and use my prophetic abilities and bible story knowledge to apply wisdom to your lives. Prison always make all inmates spiritual…right? .
Hell No! Jesus shows up in the most expected places. Unlike the enemies of the #freethesheeple movement who are so Christ obsessed? I did not find #Jesus. He found me! Jesus is my first and new HUSBAND! I have never been married or divorced in my entire life. This will be an everlasting relationship.
Say Alleluia! May God forgive your sins too! Dont be obsessed with religion. Minimize!
