The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode is aware of the incessant attacks by the Badoo Cult Group in Ikorodu, and he has declared war on them.
Ambodo who spoke at the commissioning of a fire station in Epe area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria disagreed with claims that the dreaded cult group, Badoo, are invincible. He said the members terrorizing the Ikorodu community are not spirits and must be tracked down.
He, therefore, charged traditional rulers, especially in Ikorodu to wake up by helping the government to beef up the high rate of kidnapping and Badoo menace in the state.
According to him, the Lagos State government is seriously concerned about rampaging cases of kidnapping and Badoo menace in the state and they are wholeheartedly committed to the safety of lives and properties in the state.
“I just want to assure Lagosians that we are doing everything possible. We don’t run the government on the pages of the newspapers, and that’s why you see that we do not make comments on the newspapers, but we are trying as much as possible to make sure that we get these children back safely which is more important for us and also make sure that we tighten the security in our waterways to make sure that we support the security agencies in ensuring that the right things are done and then we keep pace,” he said.
Ambode said intelligence reports had it that some of the baales colluded with kidnappers to kidnap people in remote areas.
In his words:
“This is also a good opportunity for me to say this since the majority of our traditional rulers are here. We just want to pass a message to say that we need to come together and ensure that we speak to all our baales in the communities that we are having issues and also in Ikorodu to say that we must speak to ourselves.
“We have intelligence here that some of these things are coming from within and our Kabiyesis and Obas need to do something as quickly as possible to arrest this decadence that we have here.
“As far as the Badoo case is concerned, I don’t believe that it has anything to do with a disappearing ghost. I don’t also believe that the rituals can be taking place, without some people not being behind it. So, I challenge all our Kabiyesis and all our traditional rulers and Baales, we must arrest this situation as quickly as possible and show that traditional value that we have always been known for and then we would continue to support you.”
However, the governor said the fire station was being commissioned to enhance the safety of lives and properties in Epe, adding that his administration would deliver more fire stations across the State.
The controversial senator, Dino Melaye has successfully secured a court injunction to stop his recall from the senate by some members of his constituency.

In an amendment bill passed to law by the Senate, students of the National Open University are now allowed to participate in the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) and also able to attend Law school.
The Senate panel stated that the amendment would bring the National Open university at the level of other universities and to remove the perception of the public about the university in respect of the word ‘correspondence,’ which gives the impression that the university is not a full-time university and, as such, seen as part-time.
Read the full report:
“These two concepts – correspondence and part-time – significantly affect the way the public views the programs run by the university. This has been the reason why the Law graduates of the school are not admitted into the Nigerian Law School as well as the reason for the non-inclusion of the graduates of the university into the National Youth Service Corps scheme”.
“Secondly, to include lnformation and Communication Technology as another means of providing tuition towards the advancement of learning throughout Nigeria. The National Open University, as currently run, depends critically on virtual learning and students’ individual research, hence, the need for improvement and introduction of helpful learning tools as presented by lCT. This will further deal with the challenge of limited access in the tertiary education sector.”
The Baale of Shangisha in Magodo, Lagos Mainland, Chief Mutiu Ogundare, has been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
According to Vanguard, Ogundare’s abduction came barely months after he and other residents kicked against the installation of Oba of Shangisha, Oba Jamiu Lawal, claiming that Lawal doesn’t belong to the ruling family in the community.
Sources said he was driving in the company of another chief when the abductors intercepted the vehicle and instructed the men to alight from the vehicle.
He was reportedly abducted by three men along Center for Management Development (CMD) Road, Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Wednesday.

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh and and best friend, well, now ex-best friend and stylist Jeremiah Obodo aka Swanky Jerry seems to have ended their friendship!
According to sources, the controversial actress got mad because the award wining stylist did not stand by her during her trying times with her former husband Churchill.
Recall that Tonto named Swanky Jerry as her Brides man (Male version of Brides maid) for her 2015 wedding with her ex-hubby, Churchill. Tonto also had a dirty social media fight with Toyin Lawani over Swanky.
Their breakup story gained weight after Tonto Dikeh didn’t wish him a happy birthday on Instagram yesterday and later unfollowed him on the platform! Swanky however, unfollowed Tonto Dikeh earlier today on Instagram too.
A source alleged that, Swanky is a “fair weather” friend and Tonto is sick and tired of such attitude, while another claimed “Swanky doesn’t want Tonto to hurt his brand with her messy divorce saga”
Whichever way it is, we hope and pray they get back stronger and their is nothing like TRUE FRIENDSHIP!
He asked that even though our brothers in the north have presided over the Nigerian state more than any ethnic group, is the north the Dubai of Nigeria? and added that according to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, the northern states “have the highest infant and maternal mortality rates in the country, the lowest rate of child enrolment in schools.
Read the full article below:
Ha ha ha, I laugh in an Igbotic manner. I maybe be a dreamer, but I came this far, vigorously chasing my dreams. Like it or not, I believe in the unity of Nigeria. I believe we still need each other, I believe that there is strength in our diversity, but I also know that there is so much disunity, injustices, hatred, poverty and hopelessness all being fanned by them against US to keep us in perpetual Mumuisim.
My Own Mumu Don Do.
Even though our brothers in the north have presided over the Nigerian state more than any ethnic group, is the north the Dubai of Nigeria?
Why is it that over 25million children are out of school in Nigeria. Out of which 18 million are from the north whilst Kano state alone has 5million beggars. Go Google it.
According to the UNDP 82% of northern Nigerians are living below the poverty line, why?
Nigeria has the highest number of young girls suffering from Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF) in the world. And 90 per cent of those young girls are from the north. Why?
Why is it that the base of pedophiia, child sex, child slavery and child marriage on the African continent is northern Nigeria?
According to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo,
the northern states “have the highest infant and maternal mortality rates in the country,
the lowest rate of child enrolment in schools,
the highest number of unemployed young people,
the highest levels of poverty and faces the challenge of inter-ethic and inter-religious conflict including the Boko Haram terrorism.”
Why?
According to Nasir El Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna state in northern Nigeria, “if the north-western zone of the country were to ever find itself on its own it would be poorer and more ravaged by war than Afghanistan”
Why did he say that?
With all their years of leadership, why are they the most backwards? Why?
What’s all this gragra for?
Who are they deceiving. My Mumu don do tey tey. I know and understand the game.
On the other hand, A lot of my northern brothers have come to my rescue in my dark hours, so has my Yoruba brothers, my Ijaw brothers and if truth be told, more than even my own Igbo brothers. Yes!!!!!! Who is fooling who.
It’s all a game.
But this is WAR, between THEM the useless leaders, and Us the impoverished masses.
Don’t be fooled.

Actress Remi Oshodi wrote an emotional note to her late daughter, Ayo who died from Sickle Cell Anemia.
In a post on her instagram page which was signed by her Publicist, Bello, she wrote ;
Dearest AYOMIKUN,
As a mother and child, it is natural we share both physical and abstract tours, laughter, pain and compliments; but we honestly shared a bond I cannot find a most appropriate adjective for it yet.
As your friend, It has never been in my intentions to see you go through any form of pain. But as human, pain can emanate from any form and when your pain began, I have always sought God’s favour to transfer your pains so you will be fully lively as you want. And in your pain, you were strong for us. We went everywhere together.
You were my immediate younger sister and remain one of the best things that ever happened to me. My confidante. You have never forsaken me or your sister. Dupe and Demilade will miss you.
I will keep your memories forever; and in all honesty I can only console myself with the believe that I will see you again my beautiful, precious daughter.
Please rest well till we meet to part no more my love. My prayers and affection for you will be eternal.
I have said thank you to all that are helping to give you a lasting resting place.
Your mother

Sickle cell anemia (sickle cell disease) is a disorder of the blood caused by an inherited abnormal hemoglobin (the oxygen-carrying protein within the red blood cells).
Omotola Ekeinde Jalade, the realomosexy impressively described a fabulous Nollywood actor, Saudi Balogun as he turns fifty.
In an Instagram post by the celebrant himself, Omotola Jalade described Balogun as looking ‘amazing’ naming him ‘legendary Saidi’.
Some of the celebrities present at #AnEveningWithSaidiBalogun yesterday, July 5 are Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Adebola Williams (Debola Lagos), co-owner of RED Media Africa, Fred Amata, Kalu Ikeagwu.
Here are some of the shots at the events are below:
Aregbesola said this in Ede yesterday at the campaign of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Osun West Senatorial District by-election holding on Saturday. .
The governor’s vituperation was in reaction to allegation that he owed Deji Adeleke money. But Aregbesola said he did not borrow any money from Deji at anytime, saying it was the Adelekes that had been collecting money from him. .
He said,
Deji Adeleke is a business man, he is not a politician but it is like his brother’s death has run him mad.” (O dabi pe iku egbon e ti da lori ru). It is a lie that I borrowed money from Deji.
It is to the glory of God that they got the Certificate of Occupancy of their university from our government. Why didn’t those who are their new friends give them C of O of that university? .
If Deji Adeleke had so much money, why did he beg me to waive the payable tax of his university? Why couldn’t he just pay? I am bold enough to say this over and over again, because I have never sought assistance from any member of the Adeleke family, even during the lifetime of Senator Isiaka Adeleke. .
Nothing of such occurred. My relationship with the late Adeleke was cordial and beyond politics because we had known each other even before Osun politics, because our residences were adjacent to each other in Lagos State.”
The Governor added that political office was not by inheritance, saying if it was so, Bola Ige family would have been ruling the state, in reference to Ademola Adeleke, the younger brother of the late Isiaka Adeleke, who wants to replace him at the senate.
The mother of one wore a fitted black gown to clelebrate her colleague and veteran, Saidi Balogun. She left a part of her bust enjoying a feel of sunlight in her beautiful dress worn with a smile. She also took a picture with a popular movie producer and friend, Iyabo Ojo.

Samuel Anayo John Obute, a medical student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State and member of Deeper Life Church, Anioma regional headquarters of Delta state, shared his experience on how he resurrected from the dead in Indian Hospital.
Obute, who has been diagnosed of a heart problem five years ago, explained how deteriorating his health status had been since the time of diagnosis.
While he was sharing his testimony with his church members on how God revived his life after being confirmed dead, he revealed that medical reports confirmed that there were seven holes in his heart which requires an urgent surgical operations in New Delhi, India.
Read his testimony in full:
“At the Indian hospital, we were told that we were four weeks behind schedule and that my health condition had gone terribly bad that they could not remedy the situation. “As a result of this devastating news, my Nigerian Surgeon activated his medical contact in Australia where we were asked to fly into the country.
“At this point, we became helpless as there was no arrangement for us to move from India to Australia. Luckily, a
friend of my Nigerian Surgeon who, by divine providence, came to India, volunteered his private jet with which we were flown to Australia. When we got to Australia after 13 hours
flight, I became unconscious. I was later told by my Nigerian Surgeon that the doctors in the medical facility in Australia where I was flown to, confirmed that I was already dead after
conducting a medical examination on me.
“A certificate confirming my death was issued to my surgeon by the doctors in Australia who subsequently asked him to fly my corpse back to India. When we got to India, I was told that my body was taken to the mortuary and that as the hospital attendant was about to lock the door to the mortuary where I was kept, my body began to feel terribly cold, a development that made me to shout for help.
“When the mortuary attendant saw me, he ran away and my doctor who was attracted to the mortuary by my shout for help, came in and brought me out. It was when I asked him of what we were doing in India instead of being in Australia that he narrated what happened to me, adding that he had earlier informed my parents in Nigeria that I was dead.”
Obute however noted that the Delta State government immensely contributed in raising N24 million needed for his surgical operations.
Gani Adams, the National Leader of the Oodua Peoples’ Congress, has purported a claim that members of the Badoo cult are being sponsored by influential people in Lagos State.
Adams, who accused the state government of playing politics with the lives of residents, said members of the cult were usually lured through job opportunities after which they were recruited into the gang.
The OPC leader said his group refrained from intervening in the matter despite having information about the activities of the men because it didn’t have the permission of the government.
He said,
“For about two and half years, our coordinators in Ijede have been giving us a lot of information about Badoo. We realised that some highly-placed personalities were involved.
He said, “They use vacancy adverts, among others, to lure would-be Badoo members and they put up some (telephone) numbers. When you call the numbers, they will call you to come to their office and they will give you money for empowerment, like N250,000.
“From what we have gathered, they normally buy the (bloodstained) handkerchiefs for N500,000, N1m or N1.5m. A common man cannot afford that money. It is being organised by some prominent people.
“The Lagos State Government plays partisan politics with the lives and property of people whereas the first duty of government, whether federal, state or local, is to make sure the lives of the citizenry are protected.”
A Sierra-Ionian national and female student of the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja, Sandra Musujusu, has developed an alternative treatment for breast cancer.
According to The Nigerian Tribune, the scientific breakthrough might lead to a lasting solution in the treatment of breast cancer prevalent among women world over.
This was made known on Tuesday in Abuja when the World Bank Education Director, Dr Jaime Saavedra Chanduvi with his team visited the University as part of his assessment tour of the 10 African Centres of Excellence (ACE) centres.
The World Bank has committed about $10 billion for the ACE project in Nigeria, as part of efforts to encourage conduct of cutting-edge research and specialisation of the beneficiaries institutions in specific development problems faced in Nigeria and indeed the African continent.
AUST, is hosting one of the Centres of Excellence, known as Pan African Material Institute (PAMI), with research focus electrical power, disease detection and treatment and Sandra will be conducting the research under the sponsorship of the Pan African Materials Institute (PAMI).
Out of 19 African Centres of Excellence, 10 Nigerian tertiary institutions won slots to churn out special research works that could compete effectively with global standards.
The ACE universities include Redeemers University, Mowe; Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; University of Jos, Jos; University of Benin; and African University of Science and Technology, Abuja.
Others are University of Port-Harcourt; Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife; Bayero University, Kano; Benue State University, Makurdi; and Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
It would be recalled that when the Ebola Virus Disease broke out in Nigeria in the year 2014, one of the ACE centres, Redeemers University served as the testing site before it was brought under control.
She said:
“My research is actually centred on the development of bio-degradable polymers for treatment of breast cancer.”
“I will be focusing on triple negative breast cancer which is actually the aggressive sub-type of breast cancer that is common with women from African ancestry.”
“I believe there is a bright future for Africa, and as a woman there is much more we can do if we are empowered. This award given to me by PAMI has empowered me to face my studies with more confidence and actually contribute to the frontier of knowledge and move Africa forward.”

Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa (AKA CharlyBoy) has given reason he advocated for the release of leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
In a post he shared via his Facebook page, he maintained that he stand for equal rights and justice. Charly said,
“For whatever reason, no man deserves to be ilI-treated in his fatherland as Nnamdi Kanu. Hence, the need for my inclusion in the ever-growing calls for his release at the time. I am for equal rights and justice, period.
“Advocating for the okada community doesn’t necessarily make me an okada rider. Advocating for gay rights, doesn’t make me gay.
“Everybody is witness to the several injustices against the Igbo’s, we may differ on methodology. Biafra for me is a mindset. If there was no great injustice in the land, there would be no call for Biafra. So don’t get it twisted.
“Sometime in January 2017, I wrote about my thoughts on the Biafra and the many things my Igbo kinsmen can alternatively dedicate their all to.
“I titled the article ‘The illusion called Biafra’, those who haven’t read it should read it up because what I wrote therein will always be my stance on Biafra.
“We should channel our energies and abilities towards developing the South-East to become the economic-hub of Nigeria. Igbo nation and my people are great but for us to move forward, we must kill these individualistic tendencies, and come together to do great things.
“Let it be clear to all that the sufferings and poverty of the People from the South East is also the sufferings and poverty of the peoples from the other geopolitical zones in Nigeria including my northern brothers. Even the nascent anti-corruption fight in the country has seen all tribe accordingly represented.
“Therefore, I conclusively insist that Our Mumu Don Do because; The Failure of Leadership is evident in our agitation for Fairness, Justice and Equality for every Nigerian not just for every Igbo man.
“And so the Mind of the typical Igbo Leader Needs a Revolution so that it can be realigned for the interest of the people rather than the interest of a few.

Nigerian actor and former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Richard Mofe-Damijo, popular called RMD who turns 56 years old today has taken to Instagram with excitement to share his story and thank God for his life.
He shared a picture of himself pointing to an artwork with inscriptions, ‘made in warri’.
He wrote:
Patoranking’s “Nobody wey nor fit to make am o” is the apt theme song for my life as I celebrate my 56th birthday today. From Welfare Road Warri, Delta State to the Silver Screen, it’s been an often times surreal experience that anyone who has made it from a similar place of obscurity can relate to. I believe my journey, like most journeys to greatness usually start from self belief. It’s hard for me to believe I have done 34 years post graduation. There’s been struggles, uncertainties, living abroad seeking greener pastures, returning home, businesses have risen, flourished and some fallen.
There’s been a marriage, a painful death, another blessed marriage, joyous births and more academic pursuits and degrees. There’s been my sojourn in government for 8 years, the birth of my precious grandchildren and the return that was first scary till I felt the overwhelming love and support of my ever growing fan base. What a journey. What a packed 56years. I am indeed grateful and thankful. No, I didn’t wake up like this (as RMD), No, I didn’t always know that I would “make it”. It’s been Faith, Hard work, Self development and more work. But above all I have been more graced than my efforts could ever have done which is why in this journey, God is my ride or die and today I return all the glory to Him.

Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has admitted that the Southeastern part of the country has been largely marginalized by the present and past governments.
Rochas added that this was responsible for the call for secession by different groups in the region.
The outspoken Governor said there was no single federal presence in the southeast as no government considered the welfare of the people of that region.
Addressing reporters in Owerri, Okorocha said,
“The South -East has been neglected overtime politically, economically, socially and all that.
“Their roads are impassable; you cannot pass Port Harcourt road, Enugu road, Aba Road, Bayelsa road and all the roads.
“You can hardly see federal government presence in the South- East, all the things you see are through self help.
“Even the Onitsha Bridge has been a theoretical talk, fabrications which does not represent realities.”
Okorocha was however emphatic that Nigeria will remain one, adding, ;
“Very soon, some of us have taken it upon ourselves to reach out to these young men and talk to them.
“We must understand that our young men are frustrated; if they are as comfortable as we are they will not be able to say those things they are saying.”
Emily Lance, of Philadelphia, has received death threats after publicly sharing a video of herself urinating on an American flag.
She had a friend film as she urinated on to a flag submerged in her bathroom toilet using a GoGirl, a device that assists women in urinating while standing up.
She captioned the video, which she posted on Facebook and later deleted:
‘F*** your nationalism. F*** your country. F*** your stupid f****** flag’.
The video quickly went viral as thousands of people slammed Lance for being disrespectful to the nation and the flag.
Social media users sent her death threats, suggested someone slit her throat and even offered to pay money for someone to kill her.
One social media user told Lance that someone had used Craigslist to put an ad for a $3,000 bounty against her.
Others called her disrespectful, unpatriotic and offensive for urinating on an American symbol.
As the video, which has since been deleted, caught traction online, Lance tried to explain why she decided to share the video.
She wrote:
