Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, was paid a courtesy visit at his hometown in Isiama Afara, Umuahia in Abia state, by members of his group and some women were spotted throwing their wrappers on the ground for him to walk on.
A member of Kanu’s family, identified as Sonia, said the women saw the visit as an opportunity to honour Kanu for his efforts towards the freedom of Biafra.
She said:
“The women came here and they insisted he must walk on their wrapper. They were still talking before you know it, they have thrown the wrappers on the floor,”

Favorite Actress:
without missing words my favorite Actress of all time will be Funke Akindele Bello..she’s a very dynamic, flexible and versatile actress..

Yes presently I’m working on a project, a seasonal series a Songito Gabriel Production, “RULES OF ENGAGEMENT” watch out for this block buster..

A young man suspected to have stolen a car battery was beaten severely by an angry mob at Akai Effa, Calabar, Cross River State.
A resident of the area who witnessed the incident said the ill-fated young man was suspected to have stolen a battery in one of the cars parked in the area and when an alarm was raised that he was a thief, a mob immediately gathered and beat him up thoroughly.
He was said to have been chased on Monday, but escaped. On Tuesday afternoon, he went back to a location close to where he had been chased on Monday, and was caught this time.
After being severely beaten with hands, stones and sticks, the mob had poured fuel on him and dragged a tyre from a nearby compound to burn him alive.
He was lucky that security operatives came before being set ablaze and was eventually taken away.
A disturbed resident said:
“It is sad. We must not burn criminals. Let us trust in the Nigeria Police Force. Let us also use the whistle-blowing policy of the state government to report criminals and their activities,”
This is the second mob action against suspected criminals in Calabar in 48 hours, with the first reported on Sunday, as one person was set ablaze at Edim Otop.
Meanwhile, the killings by jungle justice has been recorded up to nine since the beginning of the year in Calabar alone, giving residents something to worry about on how a once peaceful state could lately become a hotbed of criminal activities.
More worrisome in the disturbing trend is the fact that residents do no longer have confidence in the police.
Just last week, the Commissioner of Police in Cross River, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, had advised car owners in the state to be vigilant whenever they park their cars to avoid theft of their car batteries.
He had given the advice to newsmen following incessant complaints from residents of Calabar about theft of their vehicle batteries.
He assured that the command would re-enforce its vehicular and foot patrols in all parts of the state with a view to curbing the ugly trend.
The commissioner stressed the need for car owners to avoid parking their cars by the roadsides during nocturnal hours. He said that most of the theft of car batteries were recorded in the night.
The Guardian gathered that the incident was very rampant in Ikot-Ansa area of Calabar Municipality where some affected residents had abandoned their cars because of lack of money to buy new batteries.
A resident in the area and a government retiree, Mr. Paul Akan, said hoodlums used to invade his compound around 5a.m. to steal car batteries.
It would be recalled that barely two weeks ago, precisely on February 16, a suspected armed robber whose gang has been terrorizing residents of Calabar, was burnt to death by an angry mob after he was caught in action.
The man, who was in his 20s, was a member of a seven-man gang that had invaded the Ikot Abasi Obori, Kasuk Town and the popular Ikot Ishie Market all in the Calabar Municipal Area Council, robbing residents and traders.
Tired of their activities, the people mobilized and went after the gang despite the fact that they had guns and charms on them.
The unlucky gang member was caught while the rest managed to escape and the crowd meted out instant jungle justice on him.
An Eyewitness said:
“They beat him up until he could no longer move. After that they got some tyres and put around his neck. He was still alive and crying when petrol was brought and poured on him before setting him on fire. He was burnt to ashes on the spot,”
Nemesis caught up with a female kidnapper this morning in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
A woman who is in her early 30s was caught trying to take a child from her mother’s room, the child’s mother caught her chanting incantations on the child so she had to call the people around who helped her in holding the woman.
However, after being given the beating of her life, she confessed that a man sent her, that she is always given N500,000 per child after successful kidnapping.
The police came to rescue of the suspect as she was whisked away to avoid being lynched by the angry mob.
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu on Tuesday warned that anyone who insists that Biafra will not be achieved will die.
Kanu issued the warning while addressing a crowd of IPOB members at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Eze I.O Kanu in Isiama Afara Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia State..
Addressing the crowd, Kanu said,
“Yesterday, I asked Darlington to send a message to say that I want to see IPOBs here today, not too many of you I said but look at what came out.”
“Because we are not going back, until the zoo agrees on a date for referendum, there will be no election here anymore.
“We are starting with Anambra, that they may know that this land belongs to our ancestors.
“This land must be set free, here we shall die, and here we shall be buried.
“Anybody that says Biafra will not come, that person will not be alive!”
Social Media’s been abuzz about the recent reports rocking Tonto Dikeh’s “shaky” marriage with her estranged husbamd Olakunle Churchill..
It all started when text messages sent to Churchill’s mum, believed to be from Tonto Dikeh was shared by OAP, Lara Olube.
…and then again, Churchill first wife, came online to claim that Churchill was still married to her when He married Tonto Dikeh.. She also begged him to sign their divorce papers.
Anyways, LIB met Churchill at a conference where he spoke about unveiling a new Anti-Domestic Violence programme. Though reluctant at first, Churchill agreed to speak with us.
In this tell-all interview, Churchill calls out Azuka of Media Room Hub who he says refused to publish the evidence he gave to her because she has mutual friends with Tonto Dikeh. He also went to say he’s done fighting to save the relationship.
Let’s talk about your new domestic violence initiative?
The domestic violence campaign that we are embarking on with some partners from United Kingdom. We’ll be setting up a domestic violence center where we’ll have a call center to link up cases of emergencies with hospitals and police stations to give quick response and aids to victims of domestic violence. The issue of domestic violence cuts across men and women but most times the attention and focus is always on women, so this initiative seeks to investigate and examine all cases of domestic violence because we’ll be working with the police and relevant authorities.
Your relationship with Tonto Dikeh has been marred with accusations of domestic violence, how do you intend to deal with that and your new campaign?
The truth is, what you read in the news is different from reality. My partner fights dirty and that’s what she’s put out there. Tonto will say anything to sound believable and gain public sympathy and that’s what she puts out there. It’s not real, I’ve never laid my hands on her ever. I’m not a violent person and I’m not temperamental, as a matter of fact I don;t take offence on anything at all, that’s how God made me, people who are close to me knows this, when I’m upset about something I simply avoid the offender and come to terms with the fact that I don’t need such vibes around me.
So how do you defend allegations that you beat her, made her lose a 4-month pregnancy and always cheat on her.
They are all fabricated, because my partner believes she’s a celebrity and she can make people believe whatever she wants them to believe and using her celebrity status to manipulate people to believe what she wants and she’s in the business of make-belief but I’m a businessman, a man of very few words too. I am a private person, but she prides herself on the fact that she has the platform and fan base to bring anyone down and she also feels by the time she deals with me, I’ll come back begging.
I met Tonto like 6-months before she took in, so where did the initial 4 months pregnancy come from or did it come after she gave birth to my son?
Because she traveled during her pregnancy and came back when King was 4-month old and we had only stayed together for about 6-months after that before all the issues started, she was still breast feeding. And if indeed she had and lost a 4-month pregnancy, that will require for her to do an evacuation, which hospital did it for her and evidence does she have? It was all done to bring down my image and o destroy my reputation.
Have you actually attempted to beg and make peace?
Yes I have. The main thing that started this fight was between she and my mum and it was very dirty. I bought a house for my mum in Lekki and she came over from overseas so we can do a house warming party to launch it and just 24-hours before the house warming party, my partner got angry over a very flimsy issue and she just started breaking stuffs and scattering the house and in the process while my mum was trying to calm her down, she pushed my mum down as well. I had never seen that in my life, I had to prostrate for my mum to apologize and that was how the house warning party was cancelled because it was just 24-hours to the party and Tonto had destroyed the house, breaking and damaging things.
This happened on December 20th and the following day I packed a few of my things and traveled to Ghana. So I felt she was scared or confused on how to handle it, so she went online and started the stunts by removing Churchill from her name. And don’t forget, I said this issue happened on December 20th, on the 22nd, she had one of her charity events where she kicked off a road construction work at The Karamajiji Colony Abuja of people living with disabilities on Friday, December 23, 2016 courtesy of the Big Church Foundation pledge at the walk for love event. She looked all good without any signs of beating or domestic violence which shows it was a false allegation that i laid my hands on her.
In fairness to her, while I was in Ghana, she sent a lot of text messages to apologize but I guess I took too long because I was away for over two weeks and then she just switched on me. Truth is I was actually In shock. She did that just one day to my mum’s event, we had already called people, invited pastors to bless the house and all only to cancel it at the last minute because my partner destroyed the house.
So she played a fast one when I saw the story on Stella’s blog with the ‘rumors had it stunt’ in January this year which began this whole process. Truth is, I only traveled to Ghana for a charity event with my staffs from the Abuja office just before my birthday,
What do you think is making her this bitter to fight you this much despite the love that once existed between you two?
Some people simply don’t like to loose a battle and because she’s a celebrity, what happened was too heavy for her to bear. She felt if the news got out, it’ll be bad for her so she switched it and once she started to play the victim card, she had to continue it but it got to a point when she left my house with my son and nanny before I came back to Nigeria and she went on to grant an interview where she accused me of domestic violence and it’s all lies, there’s nothing like a four month pregnancy or any of the other lies. I was not even in the country when she claimed she ran away from the house because of domestic violence. So it was all planned and she took her time to pack everything because the estate still has the CCTV footage of her moving out with a Sienna and a truck.
From that interview with Azuka, she showed images of an alleged domestic violence, but she also put on a pendant (with the diamond crown customized with my son’s name which I handed over to her on December 1, 2016. And in the same picture, she alleged loosing 4-months pregnancy wearing the same cloth and the same pendant. It just doesn’t make sense bearing in mind that the fracas happened at my mum’s home on December 20th so the timelines just don’t match. she keeps complicating herself. Even the pictire she showed during the interview was shown from her phone, it wasn’t clear.
Then you also granted your own interview as well?
Yea, I wouldn’t have granted that interview, but the allegations were too much and because of my brand. She called me a murderer, wife beater, claimed I gave her STDs and even said my foundation is a scam and everyone knows we don;t collect money from any one for the foundation, we only use the 10% profit from Big Church Group to run it, just like paying tithe.
So I had to grant the interview when the Azuka lady from MediaRooom Hub came to me to debunk those allegations but unfortunately all the evidences I gave to Azuka was never used. I heard Azuka also went to Ghana to make findings from the embassy and police but she refused to publish all the truth she found out because she has mutual friends with Tonto Dikeh. God knows I wouldn’t have granted her the interview, but they were the ones who interviewed my partner so I felt it was right I also speak through the same medium with facts.
Do you think there’s still room to make it work out between you guys?
Oh, I’ve tried, but it’s just like seeing danger and you going for it. I tried to get the relationship back so I could help her condition and because of my kid but she doesn’t want peace.
While you guys were together, you produced a movie ‘Kada River’, why didn’t she act in it?
For me, my work life is different from my family life, I try to separate it. When we started work on the movie, we weren’t really in god terms even though I told her about the project. The truth is, instead of her wasting this much energy in trying to bring her husband down, I think she can put that energy to good use by going back to work and be productive. If you don’t want the marriage again, you don’t need to be dramatic about it by telling the world because they really don’t care about you. I think she should go back to movies, reconcile with people she’s offended in the industry and be humble.
What’s the relationship with your son and your reaction to the fact that she dressed as you to attend his father’s day event in school?
That’s the main reason why I was trying to make it work, because she does somethings that are not normal at all. And only someone close to her can save her because she needs help. It’s been 7-months now and all she’s been doing is to give me a bad name.
She makes it look like I don’t care about my son. I help other kids, so why will i ignore my son. Since my son got back to country when he was 4-months, I opened a Zenith bank account for him and his mum is he sole signatory to that account. I put money in that account regularly. I send money to her own account as well and she won’t even acknowledge the money when she gets it but she goes on saying I don’t take care of my son.
I’ve invited her family over to try and make peace but she’s been deceiving everyone and goes back online to pull her stunts and the truth is King’s passport has been with me since he got back from the states.
She recently said she’s taken King to alot of countries in the last one year?
King has never stepped out of Africa since he got back at 4-month old. I have been with his international passport, the only place he could have gone is Ghana with hos Ecowas passport in her possession.
A few days back, your first wife also came online to speak against your mum?
The true story about that is this My first wife and marriage was a mistake, I was rushed into it. We had only dated for 6-weeks before we did something in her church. there was no registry, court. We didn’t even go through the normal process of counselling and all that, like I said we had only dated for 6-weeks. I only got to know later that the church thing we did was fast tracked. We had separated for 2-years and 7-months before I met Tonto. The priest form the church said the marriage was wrong and should be annulled but she insisted on getting paper works when Tonto started with her Mr X saga. and I don’t like wasting my life or my time so I had to move on because she told me she has moved on too and we didn’t have any child together. So in all honesty, we had gone our separate ways before Tonto Dikeh came into the picture and Tonto knew about it all and the process of getting the paperwork sorted from my first marriage since she insisted and that is why I and Tonto didn’t didn’t do any official yet till we got it sorted out.
So we only went to meet the chiefs in Tonto’s place because she was pregnant. We’ve not even done the proper traditional marriage. So I kind of find the connection between my first wife and Tonto Dikeh very strange because the last I know, they weren’t on talking terms and they never met but then I also know Tonto can do anything to bring me down even as the father of her child.
Both of them seem to have an attack against your mum in common as well?
What they are doing is planned. I see they’ve been liking each other’s posts on Instagram and the way Tonto operates is this. If she wants to bring you down, she’ll be friends with your enemy, she fights so hard.
But the truth is, they both had issues with my mum, and I don’t understand why my wife will not respect my mum. I can’t just get married to you in one year and you are insulting my mum and calling her names, pushing her down. They know I love my mum so much and will do anything for her. It’s not like you are lacking or suffering as a wife but anytime I do something for my mum, it becomes a problem. I know what that woman has been through, she goes on many days dry fasting for my sake so you don’t expect me to allow her to be disrespected.
In conclusion, what’s the plan you have for your son?
For my son, I don’t want him to grow up in that kind of environment and I also didn’t want to do anything to hurt Tonto because she’s the mother of my child. In real life, I’m easy going, I’m not a trouble maker but the way she paints me as a trouble maker, I should have gone to her house and forcefully take my son or take her to court and start dragging a case, but I’ve not done none of that, I’m letting her take her time because he’s my son and no one can take that away.
Tonto is the kind of person that I can go to her house to see my son and just knocking at her door, she’ll scream domestic violence again, she knows how to manipulate things, so you have to be very careful with that kind of person.
Reflecting over everything now, do you think you relationship with her was a mistake?
Yes it was and I knew it when I was going into it. I knew I was going into danger, but I was ready to go into it to save her, but right now I do not care anymore, I’m done, I can’ deal with it anymore. I don’t want the relationship anymore. She says I borrowed money from her and I’m like how? where is the evidence? At least I gave her 10 million naira last Christmas and I have proof of payment, so if she borrowed me money, she should prove it.
All these kind of negativity comes from someone who said she fasted 21 days before she met me, someone who said I brought her closer to God, so where is God in this situation and the way she wants my downfall?
Now that you are single again, would you consider going into any relationship again?
NO. I don’t have any plans for that. Now it’s just business because I’m still in shock.
A Nigerian man, identified as John Samuel, who was said to have been declared dead by medical doctors around 4pm in Australia on Thursday, June 14, resurrected around 8am in India.
In a recent chat with Ika Weekly, He recounts how God saved him and his experience at the cruel hands of death, as he had suffered from a heart related ailment which led to his death.
Read the full story below:
Please can we meet you?
I am Mr. Samuel Anayo Ugwute, an indigene of Ebonyi State, born and brought up in Owa-Alero Delta State.
Can you share with us your experience?
About four months ago, I was diagnosed of in ventricular center defect that is a hole within the walls of my ventricle. It is a serious cardialogical problem said to be common with infants. After several cardiological examinations which proved positive, the doctors said my heart was already condemned and the only solution was to go for a heart transplant.
The initial minor surgery carried out to cover the holes proved abortive. So, I was asked to go for an orthopedic heart transplant which cost 24 million naira including other expenses. There was no money. We wrote to the state government who assisted with a little sum. My church assisted me; friends and family contributed too, my surgeon Prof, Tamson, a consultant cardiologist who has worked in India for over 20 years before coming back to Nigeria took up my case because he said in over 200 cases he has done in cardiology, my case was different and rare. He spent huge sums of money on my case; he used his influence to attract many Heart Foundations to subsidize the cost of the operation.
The surgery was scheduled to take place 4 weeks ago, but because I could not come up with enough money for flight, and other expenses, the schedule was aborted. Unfortunately, more complications arose because I was unable to meet up after hundred days time frame of carrying an artificial heart elapsed.
Finally I gathered enough money, and I left for India on Friday, June 9, 2017, but the doctors turned me back because I was four weeks late, and there was no way I was going to survive. So my doctor through his influence contacted a friend in Australia who had a private jet, and I was flown straight to Australia in a flight which lasted for 12 hours. On getting to Australia, the doctors there said there was 80 percent chance of death, and 20 percent of survival. When I heard this I turned to my family for prayers. Before going into the theatre, I prayed to God and reminded Him of my covenant of life with Him.
Entering the theatre, I gave up the ghost as the first knives cut to get the position.
Having given up the ghost, I was told they recorded the death time as 4am of the fateful, my family was contacted and my corpse was taken back to India in another 13 hours flight; on getting back to India, my corpse was deposited in the mortuary, but after some minutes I woke up and I felt cold so I started shouting and when one of the nurses heard me, instead of coming to my rescue she ran away out of fear. My surgeon heard me and came to bring me out from the mortuary. Coming out I discovered that my whole body was covered in formalin, a preservative used on dead bodies.
At this development, my family was contacted telling them I am alive. After having a warm bath to wash off the formalin, I saw everybody dancing and rejoicing at the hospital in India, I was speechless, the only word that came out from my mouth was take me home. All through the period I was pronounced dead, all I could see were doctors on white performing a surgery on me. I ended up not having the surgery I went for, and after another round of cardiological examination, the doctors found out that there were no longer holes in my heart, everything disappeared, and that I was perfectly, okay. I kept on insisting to go home, and after my doctor in Nigeria was contacted to tell him I was perfectly okay, they took me to the airport and I boarded my flight to Lagos.
People in India were rejoicing, calling my situation a miracle. “My surgeon received me in Lagos amidst tears; he was the one who told me the news of my death had circulated. In a bid to actually confirm the report of the doctors in India, he took me into the lab for examinations, and he arrived at the same conclusion. I came back to Agbor yesterday being June 14, 2017 totally okay and fine.
I thank God, because I know He heard the prayers of my father when the surgeon told my father I was dead, he rejected the news, his faith kept me going, the prayer of my Pastors as well as that of my father, Pastor John Ugwute brought me back.
Now, it has been revealed by TMZ, that the “Minor Issue” is that her twins were born prematurely, and as such, they need to be monitored and kept “under the lights” for them to normalize.
Usually, when babies are born with jaundice, they are kept under a photo-therapy light or under a sun lamp. Babies with jaundice have elevated bilirubin levels and the lights under which these babies are kept are designed to lower bilirubin in the blood to eliminate the jaundice.
Exposing the baby to sunlight through a window also helps in lowering the bilirubin level as it is done in most cases in Nigeria.
Since the source from Beyonce’s camp told TMZ that the babies are being kept “under the light”, there’s a possibility that asides being born premature, they also have jaundice. This is a common issue among premature babies and is usually not serious.

The Assistant commissioner of police and head of the Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kyari has disclosed that he rode on a commercial motorcycle, popularly known as okada, to enable him move faster to Notorious Kidnapper, Evans’ Magodo GRA Phase II residence on the day of his arrest.
Although, he had earlier been informed by his men already deployed in the area, that Evans was making frantic preparations to leave his mansion very soon.
He went further to explain that though it might sound funny, policemen sometimes must do “unconventional things” to get at their targets or what they actually wanted.
The top cop added that he and his team had been on Evans’ trail for close to 10 years until the kidnap kingpin met his waterloo on the day of arrest.
He said:
“In the early hours of Sunday at about 1.30am, Evans and some of his gang members went out to a club around Ikeja and returned at 5.10am. So, we were very sure Sunday would be our day. So, I decided to go and cleanup myself and have a little rest before I returned to Magodo.
I was still resting when my guys called that the target was set; that it appeared he wanted to go out. So, I had to take Okada from where I was, to meet up.
“You won’t believe this, but it’s the truth. Do you know that when my surveillance team alerted me of the suspect’s presence at his Magodo mansion, I had no other option than to take Okada from where I was at Ikeja GRA to Magodo?
“I was approaching former tollgate, when I got another call that he might drive out any moment. So, I instructed my guys to give him warning shots; that was to announce our presence, and that kept him indoors until I got there and directed the affairs,”
“We have been following him, through intelligence gathering and surveillance, but we have always lost him. He is a very intelligent criminal with a very sound IQ, I must tell you,”
“When we tracked him to Lagos, I was in Abuja. The moment I was sure he was in Lagos, we moved down to Lagos on Monday of that week. We came by road and slept at a police station close to Evans’ residence and started our surveillance on him”
The Nigeria Police Force have dismissed two traffic wardens, three weeks after they were found to have extorted N15,000 from a motorist in Abuja.
The dismissal of the two wardens came after a motorist (name withheld) filed a complaint to the Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit, PCRRU, Force Headquarters Abuja on May 30.
The complainant stated that while driving his vehicle on May 29, at about 12:30pm along Wuse Market road, he was accosted by the two Traffic Wardens who accused him of “beating traffic light” despite the fact that he did not.
According to police, the PCRRU immediately launched an investigation upon receiving the complaint (Tracking Number PCRRU475669), and both traffic wardens were identified and apprehended.
The police added that the sum of N15,000 they extorted from the complainant was recovered from the wardens (N7,500 each, as the money was already shared).
They added that the extorted sum of N15,000 had been handed back to the complainant with an apology from the PCRRU.
According to a statement issued by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, he warned that the police would not condone corrupt practice among serving officials as Shuaibu Suleman and Musa Muktari were dismissed on Tuesday.
He said both wardens were subsequently referred to the Force Provost Marshal at the Force Headquarters, Abuja for Orderly Room trial, during which witnesses were called, exhibits presented and defaulters (both wardens) heard.
He added that the probe by the orderly room panel, found the two wardens guilty of abuse of office, soliciting and receiving a bribe contrary to Paragraph C sub (IV), (VI) and (II) of the 1st Schedule of the Police Act and Regulation CAP 370 of 1990 and that the adjudicating officer found both defaulters guilty as charged and recommended punishment of dismissal from service.
He said:
“Two traffic wardens, Musa Muktari, Force Number; 394120 GDI and Shuaibu Suleman, Force Number; 10627 GDII, attached to Wuse Police Division, FCT Abuja Command have been dismissed from service with immediate effect for corrupt practice”.
“That the wardens started demanding for bribe before they will allow him go and they led him to an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) not far from the scene where he was forced to make a withdrawal of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000) from his account which he gave to the traffic wardens”.
“The orderly room proceeding has been reviewed by the appropriate NPF authority and the punishment approved with immediate effect.
“Traffic warden Uniforms, ID cards and all police accoutrements issued to the men have been retrieved and all other dismissal procedure completed,”
“We will not allow corrupt practices to continue.”
“IGP equally enjoins members of the public to make use of the PCRRU platform which is available 24/7.
“PCRRU says No to Impunity. As promised, our quick response will put a smile on your face,”
The visibly delighted man while collecting his money said he never thought that justice could be done to these officers and that his money could be returned to him.
He said:
“I never thought this could happen in this country; the officers punished and my money returned to me. God bless the IG, I will go out and spread the news about PCRRU to everyone”.
OAP, Toke Makinwa has shown the philanthropic and benevolent side of her again as she helped a twitter user, @godsown99, who took to the platform to ask her for help to cover cost of his handouts as he is already finding it hard to pay his school fees.
The bestselling author replied his tweets, gave him the money he asked for and left writing effusively about her.
I’m an admirer. Of your pictures. I don’t envy you. I think I would love to meet you in person – and disappear. Maybe, that’s why I admire your tenacity to ‘pepper’ the haters and ‘humble’ them, but since they ‘humbled’ the kidnapper Evans, I have been thinking about you. I didn’t say you are a kidnapper. Far from that. I am just worried about you.
Let’s take a spirituality class.
There is something called Wheel of Samsara in Hinduism. It rotates. It moves. It never stays in one place. It is like a table, which always turns. And within all of us, there is what we call willpower and the Cruel Mind. It’s okay if you say I am saying rubbish, but let us watch between now and August and see what happens. What we want will always come to us, if we focus on them.
You have defeated poverty, but you spend a lot of energy dragging poverty along with you. You feel bad leaving poverty. You feel vengeful. You feel you need to retaliate. That is why you have chosen to oppress us, most of us who may never really enjoy the kind of life that you are enjoying.
Money is addictive; it is also an illusion. Everyone needs an addiction, everyone needs it. When we have it, it is like a magnet, it attracts everyone. You know when you hold a magnet, it attracts everything that it can attract. It grabs them, hold them. That’s what you have done.
I doubt there is any mind that has any positive vibes for you any more. We are tormented by your showcase of wealth. We may not say it, but we are not happy.
A very famous musician, William Onyeabor was laid to rest recently. Mr Onyeabor, before his death, dissociated himself from the proceeds of his music. He said he had made the music with finances and money from a Russian mafia and syndicate. He died a Born Again, but he didn’t leave the house he built with that money. He died under the roof of that house.
The precious thing that Mr Onyeabor gave us is his music. I am sure you know one of his songs, ‘When the Going is Smooth and Good’? Let me share some of the lyrics of that song with you here, quickly:
When The Going Is Smooth And Good
Many, Many People Will Be Your Friend
Oh, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!
When The Going Is Smooth And Good
Many, Many People Will Be Your Friend
But When The Going Becomes Tough
Many Of Your Friends Will Run Away
Dear Hushpuppi, I love that you have really worked smart and escaped poverty. I can tell you that poverty is a terrible thing. When you are poor, nobody wants to be your friend. If people are honest with themselves, we only want to enjoy with the rich, like you, even if it’s just a pie of your happiness. You are really living well, based on statistics from social media. The pictures are so colourful, but I for once, I don’t envy you. I know why and I will tell you.
Most of the victims of Chukwudi Dumeme “Evans” Onwuamadike are Igbo people. You know, they say the richest men in Nigeria are on the covers of Forbes magazine. I tell them, “No.” If you want to find the richest men in Nigeria, take a walk to Alaba, Balogun, Yaba, Onitsha markets and you will find them.
I have briefly done business with these men. They are very secretive with their wealth. They do not like attention. Those of us who seek for attention for the penny we have, are not wise and because we are mostly attention whores, we seek for attention with anything. Also, what doubles it is that some of us who seek attention and validation from the populace come from poor homes. When a poor man begins to see little wealth, it gets into his head.
I like that you want to ‘humble’ people, but there is no competition in the pursuit of wealth. Wealth will come and go. We all know that and you sef, will get bored of ‘humbling’ people some day and you will be ‘humbled.’ But, please, shine! It’s your turn to shine.
Dear Hushpuppi, I know you don’t print money, so I want to assume that you have a glowing business that brings in lots of money. Hopefully, just like William Onyeabor left his music behind for us to enjoy, you will learn to leave a legacy behind; something that the next generations will talk about. It won’t augur well if your story turns out to be something similar to Evans’. That won’t be nice. So, be nice to us.
Torment us with pictures. I look forward to reading captions that have your name on it. I actually genuinely admire the fact that you can have such freedom and expressively show your wealth to the public and don’t expect any reprisal of any sort. If I had your kind of money, I would be scared showing it online, because I am certain that my phones will ring ceaselessly: those I owe money and those who need money will call and make requests. I don’t know how you handle this.
Also, I admire how you spend that sort of money in clubs with ‘friends.’ Your friends, I must say, are terrible people. They never show that they are proud of you. If I were you, when I am with you in the club, I would post pictures and even tell the world that you are the Reigning King and that everyone should fear you. Your ‘Champagne Friends’ wouldn’t do that, because the day you are going down, they are not going down with you. They are here for the drinks and the little cash. They are going to say sweet things to you, but you are going to carry your cross alone.
Just because like you, I am an attention whore, I will end this letter now and hope to meet you someday.
All of a sudden, Evans has turned to a celebrity, Right now, He’s unarguably the most talked about person this past weeks.
Of course, he made it to Google Nigeria’s Top Searches for the week, and we are quite sure, he’d make it to Top Search this week again.
From the day he was arrested, more and more revelations have been pouring out.. From The latest of which his gang members revealed how they joined Evans in his kidnapping Business.
But then again, a picture of some policemen posing for a picture alongside Evans found it’s way to the internet, and it has been met with mixed reactions.

According to a trending report on Facebook, an Armed Robber pictured below was caught stealing at a Baptist Church in Warri.. But instead of him to be lynched or condemned, he was prayed for.
Out of the 765 graduates recently engaged to work in the Kano Internal Revenue Service (KIRS), about 300 have reportedly dumped the job just three months after their engagement as revenue officials.
One of the newly engaged graduates that dumped the employment, said the service has failed to fulfill some of the promises made to them in regards to the service’s salary scale, stressing that most of them where cajoled to leave their jobs and accept the tax generation work only to be paid N35, 000.
He said:
“We were told that they will offer us a better salary package than what we were earning at our former working places. However, after we have concluded all bureaucratic engagements, we ended up being paid N35, 000 as graduates.
This is why about 300 of us have quit, because with the present economic huddles; it is unwise for one to deceive oneself that he or she can leave on that stipends,” lamented the former tax collector.
A source at the KIRS, confirmed that a substantial number of those recently engaged have dumped the job, without notification.
The Kano Internal Revenue Service Public Relations Officer, explained that no one can make comments on behalf of the Service Executive Chairman, Sani Abubakar Dambo, who is currently out of the state for Lesser Hajj.
Some of the graduates then described the salary of N35,000 per month as not just meagre, but contrary to what was earlier promised.

LASG inaugurates committee to decongest traffic in central Lagos
The Lagos State Government through the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts has inaugurated a Committee to proffer ways of eliminating the traffic congestion along the Apongbon-Marina axis of Lagos Island.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts, Hon. Agboola Dabiri while inaugurating the Committee in Alausa said the traffic menace has become a source of concern for the government and therefore, it is being tackled head-on to find an enduring solution to the perennial logjam.
Dabiri urged members of the Committee to “please find a lasting situation that will reduce drastically the perennial traffic situation on the Apongbon Marina axis, just as it was done in Oshodi”.
Speaking further, he informed the Committee members that “about 5000 vehicles come into the Island daily and most of them come to do business in the Apongbon, Idumota and Marina axis” and asked them to proffer solutions on how well to manage the high traffic experienced daily along the routes.
The Special Adviser disclosed that as part of efforts at reducing the traffic situation in the area, a new park has been approved in Ajegboro, Leventis on Lagos Island for use by commercial vehicles to load and offload passengers instead of discharging passengers directly on the road.
The Committee is expected to submit its report within one week.
34-year-old mother, Laquita Lewis, has been arrested and charged in court on a capital murder charge for stabbing her young daughter to death.
The suspect who is currently held without bail was arrested after texting her boyfriend saying the girl was dead and in heaven.
The boyfriend then called 911.
Senior Harris County Deputy Sheriff, Thomas Gilliland told Fox 26 Houston that the 4-year-old, Fredricka Allen had been stabbed multiple times in the chest and was found dead on Sunday.
He added that after the stabbing, she bolted from the apartment and got into a crash on I-10.
He told the paper it wasn’t clear why she would want to kill her daughter as she had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend on Sunday.
He said:
“It’s a very horrific type scene,
“It’s a 4-year-old child. Anytime you have the murder of a child it’s very terrible.”
“The defendant told the father that their daughter was no longer alive and was in heaven,” the paper quoted prosecutors as saying in court.
“She told the father she stabbed the victim in the chest with a knife.”
The Chronicle reported that Lewis had been accused of threatening to kill a man she divorced in 2012.
She pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and was sentenced to probation which she was still serving.
A consortium of banks, led by Access Bank PLC and other Nigerian and foreign banks, has taken over the management of Etisalat Nigeria, effective June 15.
The takeover followed the collapse of the effort by Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services, EMTS, promoted by-one time Chairman, United Bank for Africa, UBA, Hakeem Bello-Osagie, to reach agreement with the banks on debt restructuring plan in the protracted $1.72 billion (about N541.8 billion) debt impasse.
However, EMTS Holding BV, established in the Netherlands, has up to June 23 to complete the transfer of 100 percent of the company’s shares in Etisalat to the United Capital Trustees Limited, the legal representative of the consortium of banks.
Etisalat Group, the parent company of Etisalat Nigeria, announced the takeover on Tuesday in a filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirate.
The filing, with reference number Ho/GCFO/152/87, and dated June 20, 2017 signed by Etisalat Group Chief Financial Officer, Serkan Okandan, said efforts by EMTS to restructure the repayment of the syndicated loan by a consortium of banks to Etisalat Nigeria collapsed.
“Further to our announcement dated 12 February, 2017, Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC, “Etisalat Group” would like to inform you that Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services Limited “EMTS” (“the company), established in Nigeria and an associate of Etisalat Group with effective ownership of 45% and 25% ordinary and preference shares respectively, defaulted on a facility agreement with a syndicate of Nigerian banks (“EMTS Lenders”).
“Subsequently, discussions between EMTS and the EMTS Lenders did not produce an agreement on a debt restructuring plan.
“Accordingly, the Company received a default and security Enforcement Notice on 9 June 2017 requesting EMTS Holding BV (EMTS BV) established in the Netherlands, and through which Etisalat Group holds its interest in the company) requiring EMTS BV to transfer 100% of its shares in the company to the United Capital Trustees Limited (the Security Trustee”) of the EMTS Lenders by 15 June 2017.
“Subsequently the EMTS Lenders extended the deadline for the share transfer to 5.00 pm Lagos time on 23 June 2017,” the filing said.
Etisalat has been under pressure since 2016, following the demand notice for the recovery of a $1.72 billion (about N541.8 billion) loan facility it obtained from a consortium of banks in 2015.
The loan, which involved a foreign-backed guaranty bond, was for the mobile telephone operator to finance a major network rehabilitation and expansion of its operational base in Nigeria.
Unable to meet its debt servicing obligations agreed since 2016, the consortium, prodded by their foreign partners, threatened to take over the company and its assets across the country.
But the intervention of the telecom sector regulator, Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, and its financial sector counterpart, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, persuaded the banks to rethink their threat and give Etisalat a chance to renegotiate the loan’s repayment schedule.
Late last week, PREMIUM TIMES reported exclusively that Etisalat was sinking deeper into trouble, with Mubadala, its majority shareholder, representing Etisalat of UAE, on the verge of pulling out following irreconcilable differences concerning the loan issue.

Gang members of the dreaded billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudi Dumeme Onuamadike, a.k.a Evans have all confessed to the police how they joined the dreaded gang.
One of the principal suspects in the dreaded Evans’ high profile persons kidnapping gang, Chukwuemeka Ikenna Bosah (32), said he joined the gang of the notorious kidnapper to enable him foot the bill for a cesarean operation his wife underwent.
The Nation revealed that some other members of the deadly gang, including Sola Paul (42), Uche Amadi (41) and Chukwumah Nwosu (42) also revealed how they were recruited into the deadly gang.
Explaining his involvement with the gang, Bosah said:
“I used to manage a restaurant at No. 9, Yakoyo Road, Sabu, which is under Ogun State. I later travelled to Ghana to engage in 419 (obtaining by false pretence).
“Luck smiled on me one day and I hit $43,000. I rented a shop for my wife and also rented a house where I lived with my family, which included two sets of twins. I also opened a bigger restaurant than the one I ran in Nigeria.
“I was doing well until six months later when the owner of the building where I resided gave me a quit notice, claiming that I paid the rent to the wrong person. The matter affected my business so badly that I decided to relocate to Nigeria.
“When I returned to Nigeria, I started doing Internet fraud to survive. I told a white woman who was desperate to marry a black man that I would marry her, and she started taking care of me. She was sending me a lot of money until some enemies of progress called her and told her that I was married with a set of twins. She cut off the relationship.
“Unfortunately for me, I was penniless at the time she cut off the relationship. The worst happened when my pregnant wife went for antenatal care and the doctor told her that her that the only safe way she could be delivered of the baby was cesarean operation because the baby was inside the fallopian tube.
“When I narrated my plight to my friend, Nwosu, he told me that there was a friend of his who had just returned from abroad. He assured me that he would talk to the man to help me with money for the operation my wife intended to undergo. That was at Cele Bust Stop (Lagos).
“We entered keke (commercial tricycle) to Jakande Estate. There we met Evans who came in a Lexus SUV. This was around the year 2015.
“Evans told us to enter his car and I saw some men with fez caps. I also saw one of them in the back seat give a gun to another one in the front seat with Evans.
“Before I knew it, the driver used the Lexus SUV to block a car and they ordered the big man in the car to come down at gun point. When the man came out, he fainted. Evans then ordered Nwosu and I to carry the big man and put him inside his (Evans’) vehicle and they zoomed off.
“While we were putting the man inside Evans’ vehicle, Nwosu stole his gold ring. He later gave it to me to sell in order to solve my wife’s problem. I sold the ring for N60,000 and used the money to settle the bill for the cesearen operation.
“When Evans discovered that we stole the victim’s ring, he became angry with me. He gave Nwosu the sum of N1.5 million to give to me as my share of the ransom, but Nwosu deducted N50,000 from it.”
Nwosu, however, denied deducting N50,000 from Bosah’s share, saying it was only N5,000 that he took from it.
He said:
“I am am a native of Aba, Abia State. I trade in female wears and accessories like bags and shoes. I met Evans in 2014 at Domino’s Pizza, Apo Junction, Festac Town (Lagos) while selling fuel and engine oil in the black market at Alafia. I later went to Yaba to sell shoes.
“I travelled to Vietnam for two years. When I came back in January 2015, I met Evans again. We discussed drug trafficking business and I told him how I lost all my money to drug business. He then promised to sponsor me on drug trafficking trip, but he said I should give him some time.
“When we and the other people in the car had passed Second Rainbow junction, Evans told me to join another car that was following his SUV. We turned to Abulabu Junction and car, Ikenna, telling him to keep moving. “On getting to Villa Park area, they over crossed a vehicle and took a man from it and we left. On getting to Cele Bus Stop, he asked Ikenna, the driver of the other car, to drop me.
“He gave each of us N1.5 million. Unfortunately, the person I gave the money to help me procure a South Korea visa embezzled it. I later gave another money to one agent and he also bolted with it. I was later arrested.
“I am married with three children. My problem now is that I gave my wife only N3,000 before I went to Abuja. I don’t know how they are managing to eat now. Tell the police that we have repented and should be given a second chance.”
The third suspect, Paul, said:
“I am from Bayelsa State. I was being paid N65,000 monthly for the amnesty they granted me, but my master used to deduct N10,000 from it every month.
“I then went into sea diving job for which I was paid sums ranging from N50,000 to N500,000 for items recovered. But while working as divers all of us were still in the militant camp at Bayelsa, Calabar and Delta. At times, we would break pipelines or kidnap oil workers, especially foreigners working with oil companies, and they used to pay ransom fast.
“It was my master, Mr. George Suboma, who owned the camp and the guns we used for militancy. We got annoyed with the oil companies because they did not care to employ indigenes of the states or develop the areas.
“The amnesty was granted us in 2009, during the late President Yaradua’s regime. In 2010, I met Evans because he used to come to camp to collect guns from my master, George. He would come to militants’ camp with Barrister Yellow to meet George. I do not have Evans’ phone number and he does not have my number too.
“When President Yaradua died, they started owing us amnesty allowance. I am not too educated. Evans later called me. He asked me about my children. I told him that my master, Ugboma George, was deceased.
“He asked me to text the number of the gang’s second in command identified as Peter. He said he would like to see us in Lagos. He sent N30,000 for our journey to Lagos.
“When we alighted at Cele Bus Stop at Ijesha (Lagos), one elderly man came and took us to one hotel at Iyana Ojugbo area. We stayed there for two weeks without seeing Evans.”
High-Profile Broadcaster, Reno Omokri has taken to his Twitter page to shade the heck out of Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed.
The Nigerian author, said he would have thought that Lai was Lie’s father and wished him a happy Father’s Day!.
He wrote:
I think it is high time we do a DNA test on lies to determine who is its real biological father between Lai Mohammed and satan #DNA

Father of Billionaire Kidnapper, Evans, has narrated how his son derailed.
While speaking to The Nation in his hometown in Nnewi, Stephen said his entire business collapsed in 1985 when he was defrauded.
He said Chukwudi’s mother abandoned her children and left his house.
Stephen added that he enrolled the now fearsome kidnap kingpin in the beat schools at the time but decided to stop school after writing his ordinary level examination.
He said,
“My son (Evans) insisted that he would trade in spare parts and I made arrangement with Cosmas Maduka, through his elder brother, to take him to Lagos, but the boy later rejected the plan, not knowing that he was being negatively teleguided.
“But in 1998, I left Nnewi for Lagos and I was living at Ikotun and started worshipping at T.B Joshua’s church, Synagogue, and when the boy came to me, I gave him money to go back to Nnewi after he found his way to Lagos where he said he had started learning a trade
“So, in 2005 again, he called me that he wanted to marry and I asked him how manage, because I was aware that he was not doing anything tangible, but he told me not to bother, that he needed my presence, which I obliged him.
“Chukwudi Onwuamadike who is being paraded as a kidnapper is my first son; there are other 10 of my children; eight boys and three girls, they were to be 12 but one died.
Stephen said he did not hear from his son for a long time but knew he was communicating with his mother.
“After his marriage in 2005, he moved back to Lagos with the wife and since 11 years, my brother, I will tell you that I don’t know his whereabouts.
“The only person who can tell you in and out of his movement, his connections and his dealings is his mother (Chinwe) because they are always discussing on phone and he does not call me.
“Anytime he wanted to call me, he would hide his phone number or any time his mother would be around, he would instruct his mother to give me her phone for me to answer.
“I met him in 2006 when I went for prayers at TB Joshua’s church (in Lagos). the last time I set my eyes on him was in 2012 during the birthday party of Prophet T.B Joshua in Lagos and I asked him what he was doing, he told me he was dealing in drugs.
“My son was a nice young man before he came under strange influences.”
