A 12-year-old young & homeless Nigerian girl, gave birth to a baby girl by a dumpster and gave her the name, Miracle.
The mother, who is said to be homeless and lives on the street, made shelter by a dumpsite which is for recycling bottles, and safely delivered her daughter, Miracle.
According to Child’s Right and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN), a charity organization in Nigeria:
“The girl’s only shelter is a dumpster at a dump side meant for collecting recycles, such as cans, aluminum, coppers and used plastic bottles. They had a naming ceremony and the child was named Miracle.”
Reports are that at least 44 migrants, including babies and women, have been found dead after their vehicle broke down in the desert of northern Niger on their way to Libya.
According to the mayor of Agadez, a remote town on the edge of the Sahara desert that has become the smuggling capital of Africa, Rhissa Feltou, He said:
“The number of migrants who died in the desert is 44 for now,”
A team has been dispatched to the site by The Red Cross to gather Information on the present circumstances.
An Undisclosed security source said:
“the sub-Saharan migrants, including babies and women, died of thirst because their vehicle broke down”.
Recall that, in May, soldiers on patrol in northern Niger rescued around 40 migrants from various West African countries who had been abandoned in the desert by people-smugglers while travelling to Libya.
The group included citizens of The Gambia, Nigeria, Guinea, Senegal and Niger, all hoping to reach the Libyan coast so they could cross the Mediterranean to Europe.

The Oyo state Police Command on Wednesday apprehended a man who allegedly worked with others to kidnap his own father.
The suspect, whose identity remain undisclosed claimed to have gotten a share of about N1million out of the ransom collected.
Mr. Abiodun Adekunle Odude, the Oyo state Commissioner of Police, said the kidnapping took place at Igboora in Ibarapa Central local government Area of Oyo on 17th of May at about 6pm.
He included that the suspects would be charged to court once they complete investigations.
He said:
“The suspect said he got a share of less than N1 million in the ransom collected although he confessed that his father never offended him,”
Meanwhile, six suspects said to be involved in the kidnapping of popular Ibadan-based oil magnate and Chief Executive Officer of Bovas Oil and Gas Limited were also nabbed.
Firearms, musical instruments, knives, nine vehicles, one motorcycle, N1.2 million and phones were recovered from the suspects.
UK-based Nigerian Doctor, Chizoba Christopher Uzoh, who worked as a locum GP at Murdishaw Health Centre in Runcorn, has been reportedly banned for 12 months for pestering one of his female patients with romantic messages and sending flowers to her home.
In one of the letters and flowers he sent to her, he said he feels like a school boy meeting a girl he fancied for the first time and hoped it would be possible to marry her someday.
He wrote:
“I saw you and I liked you and thought maybe we could go on a date.“I am single and looking for a serious relationship and not intending to mess about.”

She then replied:

After a five-day hearing in Manchester, The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service then claimed that his conduct was “sexually motivated” during his text messages, voice mails, spree of phone calls, and posts to her home address and was found unsuitable to practice.
The tribunal decided it was sufficient punishment to suspend his registration for 12 months after the General Medical Council called for Dr Uzoh to be removed.
A spokesperson, on behalf of NHS Halton CCG and Murdishaw Health Centre, said:
“Patient safety is paramount to us and all patient complaints are taken extremely seriously; as soon as Murdishaw Health Centre received this complaint we took immediate and appropriate action.
“The locum GP was suspended from all duties which brought him into contact with patients and we reported the complaint to NHS England for investigation.”

The Turkish police have reportedly dropped a Nigerian woman off a Turkish airline flight from Istanbul to Abuja for attacking an air hostess.
A witness who shared the news with Instablog9ja, said that the bickering started when the woman on getting to the flight immediately requested for a cup of water from an air hostess who reportedly ignored her request but was attending to other passengers who were boarding, until the woman shouted at her.
The hostess brought the cup of water and said she was only doing the woman a favor as they are yet to take off, but the woman reportedly snatched the cup out of the air hostess’ hands before she could give it to her.
The hostess, who got upset at the woman’s attitude called the attention of the pilot, who alerted the police and the woman was taken off the Turkish Airline Plane.
Although, there had been mixed reactions on social media over this incident as some have called the arrest a racist act while others fault the Nigerian for attacking the hostess.
Nothing was heard of the Nigerian woman as at press time.

Mgr Jean Marie Benoît Balla, the Archbishop of Bafia, Cameroon, allegedly commits suicide in the Sanaga River around the Ebebda Bridge, Cameroon.

Case in point: in a recent red carpet interview, Michelle was about how social media affects her. After hmmming and ahhhing for a minute she said, ‘It’s negative because of the cyber-bullying. If you are not strong, it can reduce your self-esteem, that’s why I hardly read my comments.
‘Sometimes I actually feel like crying…Like yesterday when someone said something about my mum…it really hurt me. I’m young, I’m not supposed to go through that..’
Question: why is a minor answering questions at a red carpet event – with no parent chaperoning her? Simple, her mother asked her to. She made her daughter attend a movie premiere without adult supervision.
The mother during that time was in the UK, ostensibly seeing a dental surgeon and you know, having a good time. There’s a word for that type of behaviour: irresponsible.
One is not saying Mercy Aigbe is a bad mother; I’m sure she loves both her children. But being a celebrity has it pitfalls – and you hear celebs moan about it all the time.
That said, Aigbe is an adult. Also, she has been in the spotlight for a while now. A child on the other hand does not need all of this untoward attention.
Like cancer, cyber-bulling has no known cure yet. A lot of lowlife losers (in the words of Donald Trump) hide behind the anonymity of the Internet to spew hate and invectives, just to make themselves feel good.
Those trolls have found Mercy Aigbe’s daughter and constantly write rubbish on there. And all the poor girl can do about it is try not to read the comments.
Inasmuch as Ms Mercy wants to make her baby a teen celebrity by all means, she’s failing miserably to ensure that the girl is sheltered from negativity.
There are simple steps that can keep trolls away – make the Instagram account private, get a manager that operates the the account on Michelle’s behalf or just disable comments.
That none of these has occurred to Mercy Aigbe and her ‘PR’ team is a pointer to the fact that they care only about Mercy and not necessarily the child she’s dragging along with her.
Some celebs completely hide their children from the public to help them grow as normally as possible. And that’s fine. But for others who crave that fame for their kids too, it behooves the parents to be PARENTS.
It is clear that by now, both Mercy Aigbe and Lanre Gentry have no qualms about fighting each publicly. If they don’t mind their minor daughter witnessing all the sleaze, the least they can do is to shield her from it.
History is littered with examples of celebrity children who grew up to resent their parents for not allowing them have normal childhood.
Leaving your minor of a daughter to face the world by herself is a sure way of making that a possibility.

Yesterday Night, some masquerades attacked some praying Muslims at the central mosque in Ikun Ekiti community in Ekiti state.
According to eyewitnesses from the community, the masquerades were annoyed that the Muslims called for prayers while they were celebrating their own festival, an act they claim is prohibited by their tradition.
Men of the Nigerian Police force were called to intervene, and they came just in time to avert a clash between the Muslims and the traditional worshipers.
About five of the worshippers were said to have sustained varying degrees of injury. The hoodlums also vandalised two cars parked at the mosque’s premises.
The Imam of the Mosque, Alhaji Abdul-Rasak Abubakar-Bello, who was rushed to the Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, received stitches on his head. Speaking from his hospital bed, he told Vanguard that the Muslims were held hostage in the mosque for four hours by the masquerades, who threatened to kill them.
“There was no way we could escape because they were waiting for us outside after initially attacking us inside the mosque with iron rods and woods. When we succeeded in locking ourselves inside the mosque, they started throwing stones at us.”

A luxury Hermes handbag shattered the world auction record in Hong Kong on Wednesday, fetching an eye-popping $380,000.

The auction house didn’t identify the buyer of the matte white “Himalaya” crocodile skin Hermes Birkin bag.
The handbag was produced in 2014 and has 18 karat gold buckles and strap loops encrusted with 205 diamonds.
It fetched 2.94 million Hong Kong dollars ($380,000), which Christie’s says is a record for any handbag sold at auction.
The price flew past the presale estimate of HK 1.5 million to 2 million ($193,000-$258,000) during 10 to 15 minutes of intense bidding in the auction room and from phone and online buyers, Christie’s spokeswoman Gigi Ho said.
The price surpasses the record set a year ago when Christie’s auctioned a similar Birkin bag for $300,000. It had identical specifications but was produced in 2008.
Christie’s says Himalaya Birkins get their name from the bag’s color, which fades from smoky gray to pearly white, evoking comparisons with the mountain range.

Two comercial sex workers have been arrested by Men of the Nigerian Police Force, Ogun State for allegedly killing a customer identified as Adeyinka Olayinka.
The incident occurred at KS Hotel, Ifo on Tuesday.
According to the police, Kudirat Raji alias Angela and Esther Basiru were said to have stabbed Olayinka with a broken bottle during an argument.
Spokesman for the command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent (ASP) said the victim contracted Raji for the night but the duo had an argument over the price.
Oyeyemi said:
“The victim was supervising an ongoing construction work on his property and so he spent the night at the hotel. He contracted Kudirat Raji to pass the night with him on an agreed amount but reneged on their agreement.
“His refusal to pay the agreed amount led to a hot argument between them. While the argument was going on, Esther Basiru, a friend to Angela broke a bottle and injured the deceased’s friend who was at the scene.
“Angela used the broken part of the bottle to stab the deceased on the armpit thereby cutting one of his nerves, consequent upon which he bled to death.
“The manager of the hotel alerted the police at Ifo and the DPO, CSP Anthony Haruna led his men to the scene and arrested the two suspects.
“The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the transfer of the case to Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for discrete investigation and possible prosecution of the suspects.”
The Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, an Islamic body in Nigeria, led by Abubakar Sa’ad, the Sultan of Sokoto, has slammed the NYSC based on its decision to continue running its orientation camps for fresh graduates across the country, despite the Ramadan fast.
The body made this claim at its recently-concluded annual central council meeting in Kaduna between May 21st and 22nd, which included fervent prayers for ailing President Muhammadu Buhari.
They also called on the Nigerian Army to immediately suspend its planned recruitment exercise until Muslims have concluded their 2017 Ramadan fast.
The JNI braced the NYSC to honour a previous agreement entered by the two parties for camp activities to be placed on hold during Ramadan.

“This is because the prospective corps members would be at disadvantage to their faith and other camp activities.
“In the same vein, the council calls on the authority of the Nigerian Army to postpone the intended recruitment exercise until after Ramadan to avoid putting prospective candidates at disadvantage,”

A 19-year-old lady has been sentenced to death by stoning after she was allegedly accused of Adultery because she said that she had been r*ped at gun point in her family home in Rajanpur, Pakistan, by her cousin.

Kanu decried the perceived marginalization of the Ibos in Nigeria, saying that they have been prevented from aspiring to assume important positions in the country such as President, Inspector General of Police, Chief of Army Staff amongst others
“I’m not allowed to contest for the presidency of Nigeria because I’m Igbo. I’m not allowed to aspire to become the inspector general of police because I’m Igbo. I’m not allowed to become chief of army staff because I’m Igbo. What sort of stupid country is that? Why would any idiot want me to be in that sort of country?” he said.
A 50-year-old man, Ahmed Echodo, has been charged to court on Tuesday for allegedly hoaxing the police to carry out a raid at a building which belongs to the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
According to the one-count charge, two defendants were accused of the offense, but only Mr. Echodo was arraigned at a magistrate court in Abuja because the other defendant, Mr Adamu was at large.
Security operatives had ransacked the building on Friday morning following information accusing the occupants of criminal offenses and storage of arms and ammunition.
During the search, They found nothing incriminating.
The counsel to the defense, Peter Ngwoke, pleaded the court to grant his client bail.
The magistrate, Umar Kagarko, asked the police to find and present the other suspect in court at the next sitting after adjourning the case to June 5, for ruling on the bail application.
