Reality TV star and businessman, Leo Babarinde Akinola DaSilva popularly known as Leo DaSilva, has taken to social media to condemn the acts of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC is a Nigerian law enforcement agency that investigates financial crimes and they have recently been called out by celebrities and random people condemning the way they carry out their duties.
In a post he shared on X formerly known as Twitter, he explained that the law enforcement agency raided his grandma’s estate with no warrant, just a random raid.
He also emphasized the fact that citizens were speaking out against the acts, but nothing is being done or said.
He posted a screenshot of the discussion from his grandma’s estate platform and attached a caption to it that reads,
“EFCC raided my grandma’s estate in Lekki this morning by 5am. No intelligence, no warrant, just random raid unfortunately. Woke up to it being discussed on their estate platform. Citizens are speaking now no one is listening till this becomes protests. This is ridiculous.”
While the content in the screenshot explained that after the EFCC broke down his grandma’s door, they left when they discovered that it was a lady that lives in the apartment.

Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Pere Egbi, has stated that because his father has never been a part of his life, he dislikes being associated with his state of origin, Delta.
The former US military officer disclosed that his mother raised him and his sister and that this is why he is from her state, Bayelsa.
The Nollywood actor said this in a recent interview with TV and radio personality, Hero Daniels. Pere disclosed that his father left the family when he was just four years old and his sister was only three.
However, he claimed that the absence of his father had little impact on him since other men in the family had stepped in and effectively filled the fatherly position.
Pere said;
“I like to say I’m from Bayelsa State because my mum is from Bayelsa. My dad, however, is from Delta State. My father has never been a part of my life at all.
He left when I was about 4 and my younger sister was 3. He used to live in America before I was born. He came from America and married my mum, and then went back to America. A bunch of things happened, and my parents ended up separating. So, I was raised only practically by my mother.
I’m the first child and the only boy. My mum was the only one who did everything to make sure we had shelter, good education. She paid our school fees from kindergarten to secondary school. And then, I left Nigeria for the United States to do a nursing degree.
But before that, I joined the US military and served for six years. After serving, I came out and started my degree. I grew up in Warri because that was where I was born.”
Popular media personality, Dotun Kayode, better known as Do2dtun, has taken to social media to call out his wife’s brother, D’banj, to facilitate access to his daughter.
Recall that Dotun criticised his ex-wife and her family on his page early on Thursday morning for refusing him access to his two children.

Fans of popular Nigerian singer,Wizkid have gone the extra mile to show their support for him by organizing a procession in honor of his late mother.
The musician recently lost his mother in undisclosed circumstances and has been very sad about it. He traveled back to Nigeria to be present for his mother’s funeral, which is scheduled for October 13th.

The Senior Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God,Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has faced heavy criticism for publicly praying for Israel amid its conflict with Hamas.

Concerned residents in Lokoja, Kogi State, have rescued a small kid who had been buried alive by his older sibling.
The older brother was apprehended while torturing and burying his little brother alive, according to a viral video.
The teenage kid stated that his mother had given him orders to discipline the bad boy for taking 1,000 naira. When he was apprehended by neighbours, the older brother had already buried his little sibling up to the level of the neck.
He said during questioning that the young child enjoys stealing and that his mother, who had become tired of the incessant thievery, had told him to bury his brother alive.
He was accused of being a yahoo boy or a ritualist, but he refuted the claims and insisted that he was only doing as he was told.
The elder brother was heard in the video speaking pidgin said; “He thief money. The last time he went to thief money, We dey ask am where he put the money, and I no know how much he thief oo but he said nah N1000. The last time he stole, nobody beat ham, and nobody touched am.”
When the people started flogging the elder brother and asking him to confess on who actually sent him to perform the alleged ritual, he said; “Nobody send me, nah my mother talk say make I punish am.”
According to a source with knowledge of the occurrence, the situation had been brought to the attention of the Police Force, D Division, Lokoja.
Nollywood actress, Lydia Lawrence has taken to social media to share a testimony of how she overcame a serious health issue that nearly killed her.
In a lengthy Instagram post, the actress explained that she had intended to keep her life’s bittersweet experience to herself but had pondered how the devil would feel if he discovered that she was celebrating his failure.
Lydia Lawrence described how her illness progressed to the point that she required four pints of blood, resulting in a poor response from her body and the need for oxygen to breathe.
She stated that because it was the worst moment of her life, she didn’t believe she’d survive.
She endured a second operation in September, fought for her life, but won.
She wrote,
“Wanted to keep this moment of my life to myself but then I asked: how will the devil see me rejoice at the fact that he failed? I need to share my testimony. Never in my life have I been so sick, that I needed, not 1 or 2, but 4 pints of blood to keep up. While taking the 4th pint, my body reacted so badly to it that I urgently needed oxygen to breathe. Scariest moment of my life cos I thought I wouldn’t make it. To cut the story short, the devil came again but God showed up for me like He has always done.
Last year September I was fighting for my life while battling 3 ear surgeries. This year again, it went from flexing to another surgery and another fight for life.
Funny enough, so many people kept calling me while I was hospitalized, saying I came to their minds and if I was okay.
Guys, it’s always important to check up on your loved ones. Thanks a lot to everyone who checked in on me. I’m fine, recovering, and doing a lot better. Thanksgiving loading….. because what my eyes saw ehn, na just GOD.

The Nigerian girl, who went viral days ago after she shared her parents’ response to her request for an iPhone 8 as a birthday gift, has tendered a public apology.
She claimed that she did not want her parents to be implicated online by posting the video and that she had no idea it would go viral.
Recall that in the video, the girl’s father was reprimanding her for requesting an iPhone instead of focusing on her studies.
The father, said to be a pastor, was heard telling her to sell her body to raise money to buy herself an iPhone if that’s what she wants.
He repeatedly said he has not seen anything that shows that his future is secured with her and expressed gratitude that he has other children.
The angry father continued by stating that even students who have gained admission to study medicine haven’t asked for an iPhone, whereas she, who has not yet gained admission to study Yoruba, is making such a request. He urged her to quickly gain admission and leave his house.
The young TikToker uploaded a video in a recent update acknowledging her error. She claimed that after seeing the video, her parents told her that she made a mistake by filming them.

Big Brother Naija “All Stars” finalist, Cynthia Nwadiora, better known as Ceec, has spoken up about the perceived mistreatment of the season’s winner, Ilebaye.
Recall that fans were under the notion that Ilebaye was bullied by some of the housemates during the show.
This narrative began when one of the male housemates, Ike Onyema, trashed Ilebaye’s clothing on the way to the washroom.
Ike Onyema revealed that he vandalised Ilebaye’s property as a result of what she did to him at the house. According to him, Seyi is like a brother to him, and after being humiliated by Ilebaye, he felt compelled to fight on his behalf.
Ceec claimed in an interview with Toke Makinwa that she was astonished when she learned that the narrative outside was that the housemates harassed Ilebaye.
She alleged that several housemates looked after Ilebaye in the house. She described how Mercy Eke assisted her in showering whenever she was intoxicated, cleaning her vomit, and getting her dressed up.

Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as Ceec has spoken in a recent interview about the clash with fellow housemate Alex weeks after she was dragged by netizens for speaking wrongly about Alex.
The reality TV star mentioned in the interview with TV host Toke Makinwa and Miz Vick that she owes Alex a conversation because the public misunderstood her.
When asked why she said mean stuff about Alex while in the house a few days before the show ended, Ceec explained that she was only trying to express her anger to Pere, and Alex name popped up because she was somehow involved in the issue.
She said “I think I owe Alex a conversation to be honest, because I think we all know how this media thing works, people were creating a narrative of the way it was not portrayed to be, so I was angry with Pere for how he had played his game, so I was trying to expresses my anger and I mentioned Alex because she was part of the dynamic and it looked like I had not forgiven or forgotten, but that was not the truth I was just trying to express my anger to Pere so I think that was misunderstood… Because I actually like Alex.”
However, quite a number of social media users didn’t believe her, as they claimed that she does not like Alex and is doing ‘damage control.’
