Should we call this Bridesmaid Goals? An excited bride who just got hitched, has shared photos of her Bridemaids who were all pregnant during her wedding.
In her words:
One after the other, they took turns to drop the joyful news that they were pregnant. They didn’t just tell me because I was a close friend. I had selected them to be my bridesmaids. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I was like Yekpa not one not two, but THREE preggers? Btw, neither of them knew the other ewas pregnant until two weeks before my wedding. Each of them thought the’d be the only odd and biggy-belle lady on the train. Forget that I danced in heels non-stop till the end of the wedding, but I duff my hat for these ladies energy level.. It was my biggest surprise. They looked after each other and partied hard. Special thanks goes to their husbands for letting them travel.

Following weeks of media brawl with controversial pastor, Apostle Johnson Suleman over an alleged sexual relationship, the preacher’s alleged traducer and Canada-based Stephanie Otobo just might have gone back to her first love, music.
She recalled that as a child, she was at the forefront of children activities in the church and that strengthened her resolve to become famous through music.
After releasing a single, ‘I depend on you’, Stephanie says she is less bothered about negative comments or being rejected by people who feel she should have buried her head in shame over the scandal that rocked her life.
In an interview Miss Otobo had during a visit to The Sun Corporate Headquarters in Lagos, recently, she opened up on her sex life, music and other allegations preferred against her. She revealed that she is focused to making something out of her life by ministering to others through song. Here are excerpts from the interview;
When and how did you get into music because what was being promoted about you during your controversy with the man of God was that Stephanie was a stripper in Canada?
I have loved music since I was a child. During children functions at the church, I would take the lead roles. I did choreography and worship. Since then, I had loved to sing when I grew older and become a star. I was doing secular music beforeI came out with my gospel single.
Last year, while I was in Canada, I tried to make music but it didn’t have the Nigerian taste in terms of the production of the song and the music itself. Over there, their songs lack that distinct Nigerian flavour. I care about afro music, which is taking more of African music into the western world.
I travelled to Nigeria and made a song entitled ‘My Girlfriend’ using my stage name Kimora. I came to Nigeria to make a gospel song because I have always loved gospel songs. Having been in church since I was a child, I had wanted to flow with that passion. I met with some people I was supposed to work with and they explained to me that if I go into gospel songs, I would be wasting my time.
They told me that my song might be everywhere but I won’t make money. They said the best it would get me was popularity but nothing else. They said nobody would invite me for shows because I don’t attend any of the big churches in Nigeria nor belong to any famous choir.
I was told that I won’t make money because people don’t know me.
They explained to me that later on, I can go back to gospel songs because I am still very young. In life, you don’t have to rely on your own wisdom alone, you have to listen to the people who are in the business. It made sense to me that secular music was okay for now and later I can change to gospel, but originally, gospel was my thing.
Immediately, I changed to secular music. I got into the secular lifestyle. I started music last year officially.
At what point did the issue of stripping in clubs come in?
I don’t know if it’s because I’m an entertainer. Generally, as you sing, you are not just singing, you’re dancing and using your body to attract others and entertain your fans. I don’t know if that was why people claimed I was a stripper. I was just an entertainer.
So you were never a stripper?
No, I wasn’t. My life currently is like a whole new experience. Whatever I had done or practised didn’t please God. I don’t do them anymore. I left them all behind in the pool of the drama with the man of God. Old things have passed away and this is a new me.
Now that you’re doing gospel songs, how did you get the inspiration?
What really inspired me was my experience in jail in Nigeria. It was the fear and terror I lived through while in jail in Kirikiri prison. I live in Canada and if I was a thief, one day I would expect to go to jail. If I was a killer, one day I would expect to go to jail. I have never done anything that would make me think that I could ever go to jail.
So, going to jail in Nigeria was terror. I remember what my father came out to say some things about me then when I was in jail. Even though he couldn’t do anything to help me, knowing that I have his support meant everything to me. The experience in prison made me ask God for mercy and for His help to scale through.
Why are you running back to God seeing that you were disappointed by a man of God, and someone who represents God hurt you?
What I understand about God is that if you are in God, you don’t have the heart to do things that you ordinarily want to do to please your flesh. If you are in Christ, the Holy Spirit will tell you what to do and not you going to do that because you want to. Now, instead of me facing my old life on this man like I used to do, I have changed and I have to face God.
I see all these people insulting me and calling me names as still facing the man of God and treating him like God. I took him like God before but when I saw the truth that this man is not God but just a man that deceived me, hurt me and broke my heart, I had to face God. It is now that I have come to know God for myself.
Have you also thought about the acceptance of your music based on your story, do you think people will accept your gospel songs?
Before I came out with my song, I have confidence in God’s ability to do things. God is a miraculous God. If you know His words, He will make things happen for you. I know there are fears about people not accepting my songs, but there are some people right now who have also accepted my song. I believe those are people that know the word of God which is His ability to change someone’s life at the snap of one’s fingers.
After one has gone through a night of tears and sorrow, the morning comes. I went through this horrible experience of going into jail and it drew me closer to God.
Now you are a Christian, how prepared are you for rejection from the church?
I am not going to blame anybody who is negative to me or finds it hard to accept me. I won’t blame anyone who is not on my side now. I know what the word of God says and I know that if they know what the word of God says, they won’t be deceptive about it. Don’t accept me but accept the word of God.
There’s a misrepresentation of you out there about the way you dress. An average Nigerian has a mentality that a Christian should dress in a particular way, but it didn’t take you a while to change, how did you transform so fast?
My moving forward so fast came from what Jesus said about dying for my sins and shame. If I am not ashamed anymore, why won’t I move forward with my life? Why will I stay home and wait for the world to continue judging me? If the Spirit of God wants me to start my life afresh, why do I have to hide from people because of what they will say? I am not ashamed of the things I have been through because God has used it to change my life.
When you released your music video, some people alleged that you started the controversy with the Apostle just to create publicity for your upcoming song, how true is this?
Maybe he saw my future and tried to make that possible. He is the one closer to God and he’s supposed to see the future, not me. Even if I had planned to do all of these for publicity with a man of God, how possible would it be in the long run? Who knows tomorrow, me? No matter what you plan today, it doesn’t mean it would work out tomorrow exactly the way you planned it.
I can’t take such a risk. I can’t risk my whole family. I can’t risk my father coming out to talk about me because I know who he is and how he behaves. Some of my family members rejected me. My friends rejected me because of this issue. They are all ashamed of me. I won’t risk all of that just to sell my music.
And secondly, he started it. I didn’t start the whole issue. If I did, bank statements would show it. I would be caught collecting money. I wasn’t blackmailing him. He froze my account just to get back at me. I went to get money from my account and got arrested, maltreated and pepper sprayed. I was embarrassed and handcuffed, so how could I have planned all these just for music?
You are coming out a different person, but were you into sex, drugs and prostitution in Canada as alleged by some people?
I am just a normal, young lady. People get lost and that’s why God said only the truth can set you free. It means you have to be lost in order to be free. I wasn’t really into these things but I know I had lived a normal life. I go to club once in a while. I enjoy my weekend but I don’t know anything about sex, drugs and prostitution.
What do you do in Canada?
I am fully into music. I was working. I tried to move on because I like to go round and experience different cities. I worked; I stopped working. I went to school, I stopped school. I even went to beauty school for a couple of months. I have tried many things.
At your age, how were you able to cope with the stress of what you have gone through?
The word of God is my shield and buckler. Everything I have gone through have brought shame and disgrace to me and my family but I am better now because Jesus Christ died for them. I don’t have to hide myself anymore from the world. When I knew that Jesus died for my humiliation, my pain, my ugliness, I held onto to Him and He helped me.
How was your childhood like?
I went to church a lot as a child. I grew up in a Christian background. My mom would always take us to church in Warri. I was born in Lagos but my family moved to Warri when I was little. I grew up mainly in Delta State. My dad and mom separated. My dad was in Warri and my mom was in Sapele.
At what point did you leave Nigeria?
I was almost 16 when I left Nigeria for Canada. A family member adopted me. I didn’t leave on my own.
Growing up, what kind of child were you?
I was a happy, beautiful and outgoing child. I was always in front during children functions in church. People loved to see my face and I loved it too. I enjoyed the attention I got as a child.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
I see myself closer to God and doing the things He approves of. Given that people don’t expect God to be so magnanimous with me, it would be a beautiful thing to serve God well. I want to live my life to the glory and praise of God’s name. I want more of Him and less of me.
In this part of the world, there’s a dress code for gospel singers and you are a sharp contrast to that with your hair colour and blings, how do you intend to make your music acceptable in Nigeria given your look?
I believe that as time goes on, I will adapt to what is acceptable here in Nigeria. I adapt well and I believe that God will give the power I need to move forward.
Have you reconciled with your parents now?
I was not happy with what my mother did but I wasn’t angry with her. I saw her and my friends differently. I saw that they thought they were doing what was best for me and I was not angry. I would offer them forgiveness.
What kind of man catches your fancy?
I know many girls would go for a cute face and handsome looking man. I want any man I can handle being around me and I can handle being around him. Along the line, it’s tolerance that matters. How you can be with the one you have chosen and not be tired of him. I don’t want to be with someone who will get tired of me or who I will get tired of living with.

Nollywood actress and divorced mother of two, Georgina Onuoha has aired her opinion on the alarming rate of domestic violence in the country.
The actress who took to her Instagram page, and accused the government of failing to act against domestic violence, advised women to walk away from abusive relationships as it’s no crime being a single lady or a single mom, wrote:
Love does not hurt. What you love, you protect.
The rate of domestic violence in Nigeria ?? is alarming. Yet, our elected officials are mute about it. No Legislation put in place to protect against domestic violence and to punish its perpetrators. Why have we become immune to it? Domestic violence is no respectal of class, status, fame, religion or creed.
Is no one immune from it man or woman?
Why remain in an abusive relationship? To please society? To have the title of Mrs or Mr after your name? For fortune, fame or pleasure? It starts slowly and metamorphoses into a beast you can’t control.
Why not leave to Live?
So many have died and many more dying as I write this. You should love yourself enough not to let anyone scar you.Why do women protect their abusers?
There is no shame in walking away. Do not conform to what society sets for you as standards of marriage or relationship. Every faith should condemn violence.
To my brothers; Why hit the one you claim to love? What happened to walking away?
What will you do if your mother, sister, daughter or aunt calls you or come home with a battered face? will you defend them against their abusers or tell them ‘such is life because you are guilty of same crime’? Would you protect them? If yes, why would you subject someone else’s daughter to the same faith of abuse?
Only cowards hit women and people?Woman hear word!!
Walk away, if you fall out of love with your loved one, please explain it to the people your decision will affect the most directly and walk away. It becomes a burden when you want to eat your cake and have it. Emotions and feelings are strong. It’s better to shed a few tears temporary than being scared for life or worst of all end 6 feet.
Kids learn from where they live and grow. Home is their first school, they exhibit what they see their parents do. Protect them so they don’t grow up thinking it’s normal to hit or abuse anyone.
Please let’s end this vicious cycle. My heart goes out to all going through this phase and any who has been through this phase. The scars might heal but the wounds linger forever. Walk away while you can. #No shame in being a single lady #No shame in being a single mom
Actress, Toyin Abraham is ready to go into a relationship again, but this time the delectable actress has set a goal.
In a new interview with Punch, she listed some of the qualities she is looking out for which of course includes physical attributes and also a social standing. She also spoke about her career and weight loss.
See the excerpts:
On the man she wants:
“I want a man who is tall, hardworking, and loves his job. I would want to be with a man who does not chase women and would not constantly request for money from me. If he needs my help, I can do it. I don’t want to be with a short man. My man has to be taller than I am.”
On weight loss:
“Why would I change my look because of any man when I have my job, my career, and people who look up to me? I love my new look because it has helped my career a lot. Now I get more roles even in the English speaking industry and most of the movies are in the cinemas. Also my clothes fit me well. My stylist does not have to go extra mile to make my clothes.”
On why she changed her surname from Aimakhu to Abraham:
“Abraham is my father’s name and it was a family decision. I cannot be talking about my family online, it is my life. My brother who is also a famous dancer bears the name, David Abraham. That shows that it is my father’s name. At first I thought about my brand before changing the name but eventually, I had to change it. I did not want to change it but my business manager asked me to do so. I know the decision confused some of my fans but with time, they would get used to it. I am Toyin Abraham now and I am building a new brand.”
On dealing with controversies:
“I feel it is normal and comes with the territory of being an actress. Based on the fact that I am an actress, people will always tag me with something. It hurts when they say I was in a relationship with someone I never dated or when they write about things that I did not do and just put it out there. Sometimes I read such write-ups and begin to wonder if I ever did those things but what will I do?
“To be great in life, you have to be willing to be mocked, hated and misunderstood. I don’t see criticism as anything and I am not bothered whenever I am being criticised by the public. I know that some people would love me and others would hate me, so I do not let that disturb me. Trust me, the criticism only makes me a better person, so when people say negative things about me, it makes me understand that I cannot be right every time. I thank God that I am now getting some things right.”
Estranged husband of Nollywood actress and businesswoman, Lanre Gentry, revealed last Friday that he deposited over N9million for his estranged wife, Mercy Aigbe’s 40th birthday.
Speaking in an online portal, BON, Gentry is quoted as saying:
”I worshipped her and I have deposited N8m at Benefit Motors to buy her a N16million Range Rover Evoque for her 40th birthday. I have also paid N1.2m for a hall opposite Sheraton Hotel to celebrate her big, but she has her eyes on other things”.
However, the actress has refuted the claims made by her estranged husband – she, in an online post lamented that her years of bitterness in the marriage was now threatened by alleged infidelity and battery.
Aigbe wrote in the post:
“Dear Lanre Gentry, it breaks my heart that I have to do this but as it is, you have left me with no choice. I had sleepless night because I just couldn’t comprehend why someone I loved, someone with whom I have a child will be hell bent on destroying me, I just cannot comprehend it.
“I read with tears in my eyes all the LIES you fabricated against me, LIES you feel will justify your inhumane act, LIES you feel will gain you public sympathy and LIES calculated to bring my person to public opprobrium…
“I am mentally unstable; that you have caught me with different men,; that I do not take care of my parents, that a man rented an apartment for me..lies all lies… “Dear hubby, I challenge you to back your claims with proof. Hmmmm, Lanre you forget quickly!….,
you forget how I have laboured and stood by you all these years, even though all what I was getting from you was constant beating, harassment, threat to my life and threat to destroy my image if I dare leave you.
“You must prove all your allegations otherwise God knows I am going to add another lawsuit to the one on ground. “Although my team has been pleading with me to stay silent all this while, I have come to realise that you want to ride on my keeping mum.”
Meanwhile, Lagos State Commissioner for Women and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Lola Akande, yesterday dispelled allegation of infidelity as reasons for battering of Aigbe by husband, saying no husband had any reason to maltreat women.
The commissioner, who insisted that the state government was taking up the matter to serve as deterrent to others, said Lagos men should not beat their wives or else they would be prosecuted by the government.
She said:
“As for Mercy Aigbe’s husband, it is very bad. We are taking the matter up. It is going to be state against him. And other men, who beat their wives, we will stand against them.”
Malaysia-based Nigerian big boy, Hushpuppi, who is popular for showing off his lavish lifestyle on social media, has shared an inspirational post narrating the struggles he went through before acquiring so much wealth.
The Instagram billionaire who initially started by reaching out to every kid in the ghetto and advised them to hustle up and chase their dreams, disclosed the certain moment a landlord ejected his family from their apartment, how he sold clothes in Lagos and how he left the country to chase his dream.
His full post below:
Letter to the Ghetto Kid:
As a man that I am today who developed from being one of you guys, who went through the same struggles you are presently going through, who had to run and jump hurdles where other kids just walk past the same situation in a better environment with better resources and much provisions, I know the society do not expect you to make it, the government don’t care about your future, they toy and joke around making rules and laws that only affect you and benefit the rich.
You lack everything it requires to become who you might have loved to be, do the things you would have loved to do or to live the life you may have seen on tv or the internet, which I know you even have limited access to because there’s never power supply for such, which means you are deprived most of the things that can be learnt through tv and internet in the first place which makes your dreams smaller, quicker to fade away but I want you to know that darkness you are, without the dark, the stars won’t shine and so you can shine out if that darkness.
You have been deprived so many right a child deserves and the world look down on you because you are nothing but a clot of blood miraculously turned a baby, and an unfortunate one at that. Good health, good foods or good education hasn’t been in any way your chance to have. Looking at you disgusts not your brethren only but even strangers are not so impressed for your unhealthy appearance. Your strength; courage; and dreams are nothing but hallucination just because you were not supposed to dream big.
I am sure nobody ever believed in whatever you say or do. You have been victimized by neighbors; friends; and even family members who were supposed to give you hope. This is my story, this is me and this is the hushpuppi you have been hearing about. The Ghetto kid in me is at Its peak and ready to explode and spread around the globe. I am you and you are me. I represent every under priviledge kid of the world and especially of Nigeria and of Lagos and of Bariga and of Oworonsoki – Where a landlord had chased me and my family out of a rented room. I’ll never forget the look on my mother’s face trying to send me and my siblings to neighbors and relatives and the sadness in the eyes of my sibblings. Now, you see i represent you? Trust me I know how it feels to not have parents come watch you in school play football or run races in ur school, I know how it feels to come out your apartment to take showers in a zinc sheet bathroom separated from the building.
The society made me who i am today, i was never one of those who their parents couldn’t afford a movie ticket to see a movie when Silver bird cinema came newly, I shared shoes, toiletries and underwears with my younger ones as well as mats and see me now at my early thirties, i am writing you a letter from one of the favourite places any human alive would have loved to be, billionaire or penniless.
Nobody is listening to your cries; your lamentation; and your grievances are not felt a bit. If i had sat down complaining about the bad government; bad economy ; bad friends, I will not be here today. I had a dream i was not supposed to cry, knowing nobody would listen, so i rose from the hood and decided to do the things my forefathers never did. I crossed the seas, walked through burning bushes, jumped over thorns and babbed wire. A lot of people know me from when I used to use okada to be selling “akube” clothes to boys that was making cheddars in diff hotels up and down the mainland of Lagos.
Look at yourself, do you like the way you are right now? Are you pushing beyond limits? Are you succumbing to the tune of the selfish ‘Baba Alaye’ in your neighborhood? Nobody will help you if you decide not to help yourself even hailing Hushpuppi 1,000 wouldn’t help you either, be about you, get up, pick a struggle, leave your comfort zone, work hard at it, pray a lot and don’t kiss ass, rich people are users and inconsiderate.
Dear hustling hood kid, let no man hold you down. My advice for you is never to put your dreams in the hands of Ambode and Buhari, they don’t know you, they don’t believe in you cos there’s millions of people like you on their neck, it’s not much they can do if they can even do anything at all so don’t expect you will ever win or make it by waiting for anyone.
Controversial traditional ruler of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, has made a shocking claim that Lagos state is not a part of Yoruba land.
In a recent report by Daily Post, the Oba made the statement from his palace while tracing the historical background of the state and why it should not be regarded as part of Yoruba land.
This comes after the heated debate on social media following the release of a video showing the Oba “snubbing” the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi at an event recently.
The statement reads:
“Coming from the palace, with what I was told by my late paternal grandmother who is a descendant of Oba Ovonramwen Nogbaisi and also reading from factual Historical books, let me share this Knowledge with you all on Eko/Lagos.
“Modern day Lagos was founded by Prince Ado, the son of the Oba of Benin, Prince Ado was the first Oba of Lagos, the son of the Bini King, Prince Ado, named the town Eko until the Portuguese explorer Ruy de Segueira changed the Maritime town to Lagos, which at that time from 1942 was Portuguese expedition center down the African Coast.
“It was a major centre of the slave trade until 1851. Lagos was annexed by Britain via the Lagos treaty of cession in 1861, ending the consular period and starting the British Colonial Period. The remainder of modern day Nigeria was seized in 1886 when the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria was established in 1914 Lagos was declared its capital due to the struggle of the Bini King.
“Lagos experienced growth prior to the British Colonial rule and even more rapid growth during the Colonial rule throughout the 1960s, 70s, continued through the 80s and 90s till date. Thanks to the Awori’s, Bini’s, Yoruba’s, migrants across the nation and world at large, as no particular group of people can take the glory alone.
“Lagos is made up of Lagoons and creeks. The Lagos lagoon, Lagos Harbour, five cowne creeks, Ebute-Metta creeks, Porto-Novo creeks, New canal, Badagry creeks, Kuramo waters and Light house creeks.”

Veteran Nollywood Actress, Joke Silva has aired her opinion on “The Crash of Nigerian Celebrity marriages”. In her interview with News Telegraph, Joke revealed that most young marriages don’t last because of social media.
According to her:
“It is because the younger generation are very popular because of social media, and so, whatever happens to them becomes news; forgetting that there are as many divorces, there as many separations in other professions such as medical, financial, legal among others. Name any profession; there are so many separations in those as well,” she told New Telegraph.
“There are a lot of challenges that are being faced by artistes of this particular generation; and one of those challenges is the social media, which almost doesn’t allow you your life. People of my age, when we were getting all the attention, and we were feeling like we were the best thing, things were different.
You need all the attention anyway. For your work to sell, you need that popularity. It goes with the job, so you need that popularity. But after a while, you also get to learn that it can be a double edge sword. So, it is about managing it, appreciating the audience for appreciating your work, but also giving yourself that limit to what aspect of you they can experience.
“In this age of reality shows where nothing seems to be off limit, the new skill that the entertainer has to learn is how much do you give your audience? More so, because you don’t want to be false; like used to happen in the early years of Hollywood where they would create this incredible image, and then it was almost impossible for the performer to live under that image; and a lot of them used to use all kinds of medications just to fit a particular image that was being built around them. Now, we are in the age of social media, so it is learning how to cope with social media, to do the work that social media does, which is to get your work out there, to get your face out there. But then limit that too so that you do have a life; so that you can have some modicum of emotional privacy. Those are the challenges that I know that the younger generation face.”

Bobrisky’s Instagram Following
Bobrisky has been “a loyal” friend to MC Galaxy, as he heavily promotes the singer’s track on his snapchat. Recall, Bobrisky also appeared in Galaxy’s new video “Oya Snap”..
It doesn’t end there.. When Bobrisky threw his multi-million naira housewarming party. MC Galaxy was there and he sprayed the self-acclaimed king of snapchat with lotta bills.

Guess We aren’t the only one praying for Don Jazzy and Linda Ikeji to get hitched.. Peter Okoye is also a fan of the duo coming together..
Yesterday, Peter took to his Instagram to announce that he will be sponsoring the duo’s wedding were they ever to surprise fans like Banky W and Adesua Etomi did.
“@DONJAZZY and @officiallindaikeji in case that movie finally happens I, Mr P will sponsor the wedding. #loveisabeautifultin,” said the singer and dancer.
This of course is coming just days after Don Jazzy “stylishly proposed” to Miss. Ikeji… and then she accepted.. Read here.
Recall, the duo were rumoured to be dating in 2014. They never debunked that story. And we guess it is why Peter Okoye doesn’t want to be taken unawares.

Pictures of the victim who perished at the Calabar viewing centre have emerged and amogst them is a 14-year-old girl identified as Blessing Okon Udo.
They were all electrocuted to death while watching the UEFA Europa League match between United and Anderlecht at a viewing centre in Calabar, Cross River State.
While narrating what happened on the fateful day, the father of the deceased little girl, Okon Udo tearfully said:
“I was away for work. When I came back, I understood there was a problem. I saw my daughter among the victims so I had to rush her to the hospital and she was certified dead. Her death is a big loss.”
Recalling Blessing’s love for football, he said: “She was a football lover. She even played football and I did not know she used to go there and watch football. This incident was the first time I knew she came here to watch football. She was a student at Holy Secondary School. She was in SS3 and was going to write her WAEC last month.”
Earlier today, a Nigerian lady took to twitter to accuse singer, Tunde Ednut of sending her D*ck pics he allegedly took from google.
“Tunde Ednut is the most sex starved f-list celebrity in Nigeria. Somebody tell him to stop sending other men’s dick pics to young women. It’s disgusting,” said the Nigerian woman who tweets from the handle @barristeroz.
Asked to reconfirm her claims, the lady alleged that the singer had harassed her with the pics in 2015 and was now doing the same with her unnamed sister. “If the dickshots were his, that’d be a different thing entirely. But he’s saving dickshots off the internet and dishing out to women,” said the lady.
