The church wedding of Olujuwon, heir of former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo and Temitope, daughter of billionaire businessman, Chief Kessington Adebutu, AKA Baba Ijebu was held in Lagos during the weekend.
People who played guest at the event included royal fathers, past and present National Assembly members, captains of industries, members of the diplomatic corps and a host of others.
The gentleman said to have been paralyzed two days after he paid a visit to his village in Edo state has come out to debunk the claims of him being paralyzed.

My attention has been drawn to a defamatory story being circulated online with the malicious title “Man paralysed two days after visiting his home town in Edo”.
In the said story, without any form of verification from me, I was alleged to be paralysed after visiting my hometown in Benin, Edo state.
I hereby debunk the story as same is filled with half truths and outright lies. While it is true that I recently took ill, I was never at anytime paralysed and same definitely has nothing to do with my travelling to Benin or being from Benin.
My family and I have been subjected to numerous embarrassing calls as a result of this story. This has greatly affected my reputation.
Sequel to the foregoing, I hereby state that I am not paralysed. I equally did not mandate anybody to publish my medical condition on facebook or any news channel.
Accordingly, I hereby demand that all traditional and online newspapers who have pulished this story, immediately withdraw same, while urging others to desist from spreading this false story. I have equally instructed my lawyers to take out legal proceedings against the online news media that initially t published this story.
I thank my friends, family and well-wishers who have called to show genuine concern about my welfare after they read the story.
33-year-old Pamela Stigger, an actress and a drama school teacher at Forest Glen Middle School in Coral Springs, has reportedly been arrested and arraigned in court on the charges of sexual battery and lewd behavior with a 15-year-old former student.
According to the Police, at two o’clock in the morning, Stigger was discovered with the teenager in the back seat of her car.
“When she was questioned about what they were doing and if they had, in fact, engaged in sexual acts, she denied being engaged in these sexual acts,” said sheriff’s spokeswoman Gina Carter, adding; “Despite the fact that the young man was undressed.”
Investigators said the car was parked on the road and obstructing traffic. When an officer approached the car, she saw Stigger inside with the boy who was nude from the waist down. She reportedly told the deputy that the teen was trying to seduce her but her story later changed.
“She did say that she was in the process of mentoring this past student of hers, even though it was two o’clock in the morning, and they were in the back seat of a car,” said Carter.
Broward County Public Schools released a statement saying that their teacher, Stigger has been administratively reassigned away from the school, and will not be permitted access to students.
She was known for her award-winning drama students. Several members of her Junior Thespian Troupe have been invited to compete in the national competitions this 2017. this year.
Carl Barry, whose daughter is in the drama club Stigger used to teach, said: “I saw her get performances out of these children that were fantastic.”

Lagos State commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, said on Saturday that the police were on the trail of a family who allegedly raised the false alarm that resulted in the killing of 4 persons in the Ikorodu area of the state.
Owoseni said the family had a brawl with another family over an undisclosed matter, stressing that it raised a false alarm that the victims were members of the notorious Badoo cult.
4 persons, who were branded to be members of the notorious Badoo cult group in Adamo area of Ikorodu, were on Friday lynched by residents. It was, however, later discovered that the slain persons were just land speculators.
3 houses, two vehicles and motorcycles were set ablaze in a reprisal attack by colleagues of the slain persons. An unnamed person was said to have started a building project in the area.
Some land speculators reportedly invaded the building site and demanded for royalty from the owner of the building, who refused and they went away with a threat that they were coming back.
True to their threat, they mobilised and returned on Friday but unknown to them, the owner of the building had also mobilised some youths in the area.
A clash was said to have ensued between the land speculators and the residents, forcing them to flee from the site of the building project. The land speculators were escaping when residents raised the alarm that they were members of the Badoo cult group.
It was also gathered that the residents had lied that the slain land speculators had earlier in the day killed a family of four people.
More residents were mobilised and they reportedly chased the land speculators to where they were caught and beaten to stupor, with four of them eventually dying.
The death of the land speculators sparked instant crisis as hoodlums mobilised themselves and invaded Adamo where three houses were burnt. It took the intervention of policemen before the angry hoodlums were dispersed.

What could have gone wrong that someone who decided to visit his village from Port Harcourt, getting to his village, he stayed for two days and he left for Port Harcourt. On his arrival in Port Harcourt he noticed that he could no longer move his legs or stand erect, the once hale and hearty man prior to his visit to Edo State is now partially unable move or walk on his own with severe pains after that visit.

After a night in UPTH, disappointed by their services, he was moved to another hospital somewhere in Port Harcourt where he is receiving treatment.
Doctors will always have a name for any symptom, they said he has a slipped disk but this sickness is mostly experienced by older adults but here we have a very young man faced with such. A young man whose already established and blooming business as a designer is threatened by his condition.

A senior surgeon who accidentally removed a woman’s ovary instead of her appendix has reportedly been struck off after being branded a ‘danger to patients.
Dr Lawal Haruna, 59, botched up three operations over the course of two years including removing a woman’s ovary because he said the appendix and fallopian tubes were similar ‘worm-like structures’ in the same area.
The unnamed woman, known as Patient B, was treated by him when she was admitted for abdominal pain while he was working for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
During the operation, one of her ovaries was removed leaving her appendix – which was causing her great pain – in situ. A tribunal heard how it was lucky she was not of child-bearing age as it could have affected her fertility.
Dr Haruna botched up two further operations mistaking a lump of fat for an appendix in one case and a skin tag for a harmful lump in another.
Colleagues described the operations as poorly executed and ‘never events’. Haruna who claims to have 25 years experience later dismissed the incidents as ‘trifling errors’ and said the appendix and fallopian tubes were similar ‘worm-like structures which lie in a similar area.
The surgeon, who represented himself, told the Manchester hearing he had ‘poor vision’ at the time he carried out the surgery and claimed it would be ‘harsh’ to strike him off.
But at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service a disciplinary panel found him guilty of misconduct and banned him from treating patients.

Pastor trying to walk on water at the Crocodile River gets eaten by 3 crocodiles
A pastor from a local church in White River Mpumalanga died this morning trying to demonstrate a biblical miracle to his congregants.
Pastor Jonathan Mthethwa of the ‘Saint of the last days church drowned into the crocodile River also know as the crocodile river and was seen by his church members getting eaten by 3 crocodiles.
“The pastor taught us about faith on Sunday last week. He promised he would demonstrate his faith to us today, but he unfortunately ended up drowning and getting eaten by 3 large crocodiles in front of us. We still don’t understand how this happened because he fasted and prayed the whole week.” said Deacon Nkosi, who is one of the church members.
It is said that Pastor Mthethwa walked into the water and when he was 30 meters inside the river, he attempted to ascend above the water so he can start walking, but the 3 crocodile appeared out of no where and started feasting on him.

Nigeria’s most wanted terrorists, Boko Haram, late Friday, released a video claiming to show the Chibok schoolgirls who refused to be rescued as part of a recent swap deal with the Nigerian government.
In the three-minute video, a woman who claims to be Maida Yakubu, one of the schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram in April 2014, is seen wearing a black veil and holding an AK-47 gun.
Flanked by three other women clad in black, she proclaims her loyalty to Boko Haram, a jihadist group that has killed over 20,000 people since taking up arms against the Nigerian government in 2009.
When asked by a man in the background why she doesn’t want to go back home to her parents, she replies: “the reason is that they live in the town of unbelief. We want them to accept Islam.”
The woman then speaks in the local Chibok dialect for the rest of the video. Last week, 82 schoolgirls who were kidnapped three years ago were released after negotiations between the terrorist group and the government.
Presidency spokesman Garba Shehu later disclosed that one girl had refused to leave. She declined to be part of the release deal because she had married a Boko Haram fighter, Shehu said.
Analysts said it was likely others may have developed sympathies for their captors over time. The Islamist militants seized 276 girls in April 2014, triggering global condemnation and drawing attention to the bloody insurgency.
Fifty-seven escaped in the immediate aftermath. Of the 219 who did not manage to flee, 106 have either been released or found, leaving 113 still missing.
Boko Haram released a second video on Friday claiming to show five commanders that the Nigerian government freed in exchange for the 82 Chibok girls.
In the video, a man who identifies himself as Abu Dardaa, or Money, says Boko Haram is back in Sambisa Forest and is preparing to bomb Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja.
The threat comes as Nigeria opened another round of talks for the release of more kidnapped schoolgirls. The Nigerian military said in December that it had ousted Boko Haram from their Sambisa Forest stronghold in northeastern Borno state.
While the jihadists have lost significant swathes of territory since Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari came into power in 2015, they are still capable of launching deadly attacks on soldiers and continue to unleash suicide bombers in cities and camps for internally displaced people in Nigeria’s ravaged northeast.
A video showing a woman brutally hit by a car while she was on a call on her phone is currently trending online. This happened in Chonburi province, Thailand, and the video shows her body flying across the road.
Identified as Sudchada Bureepia, the 40-year-old woman survived the accident, but suffered a broken skull and was immediately rushed to the Phyathai Sriracha Hospital. Unfortunately, she died at the hospital on Thursday, May 12.
Her husband, Prasong, said his wife had taken their daughter to a hospital before walking home, which was when the accident occurred.
Mangkorn Somsut, the driver who hit Suchada, said that he didn’t see the woman. The driver has been charged with reckless driving causing death.
The video was widely shared on local media as a reminder for pedestrians to be careful while crossing the road. Though it should also be noted that drivers need to watch for pedestrian.
Prasong said that he didn’t expect his wife to pass away so early, and now he is worried about his two children. He does not blame the driver, Mongkorn Somsud, who hit his wife.
He warned people not to use mobile phones while crossing the road and also asked other motorists to drive carefully.

Davido’s alleged Babymama, Ayomide Labinjo who went viral after she came out to claim that Davido got her pregnant some 3 years ago and abandoned her, has declared she’s not happy for Davido after the singer welcomed another baby, Hailey with his Atlanta-based Girlfriend, Amanda.
Though Davido publicly denied the child, claiming she was never his, Labinjo, the alleged babymama has dared Davido to come out for another DNA test, but the singer has refused.
In a new interview with Saturday Beats, Labinjo has declared that she’s not happy for the singer even though it seems the world is happy for him.
She queried why he would take care of his other two children and be a doting father to them but refused to do the same to their alleged child, Mitchell, whom she claims to be his first child.
Our lawyer has sent a letter to Davido’s father since April 20, 2017, we have not got any response till now. I am not happy about this whole situation. Why would I be happy for Davido? He should be taking care of Mitchell the same way he is taking care of Imade and I know how he is going to take good care of this one. What is my own offence?” she queried.
When asked if she does not feel that the way he treats them could be a possible sign that the kid probably does not belong to the singer, she challenged him to have another DNA test.
“What do you mean please? Then why isn’t he coming out for the DNA since he is denying the little girl? Why has his father refused to get back to the lawyer? David is the father of my daughter, at least I was not raped. I know who impregnated me! Besides, if he doesn’t want to go for the DNA, he has siblings. Let them come out or probably go the traditional way to know if she is their daughter or not.
“I don’t know and I don’t care about any ‘Americana;’ all I want is for him to take care of Mitchell. She’s also his daughter and first child for that matter,” she said.
Alfred Andrew, 40, has been arrested for stealing from his boss, a businessman and a resident of Gwarimpa Housing Estate, FCt Abuja, Benedict Emmanuel.
On May 6, businessman and resident of Gwarimpa Housing Estate, FCT, Abuja, Benedict Emmanuel, noticed that a stack of foreign currency he kept in his house had disappeared.
But little did he know that his good-natured security guard, 40-year-old Alfred Andrew, a Bauchi State indigene, had suddenly become a millionaire, while keeping his home safe.
At 40, Andrew, who studied Mass Communication and Information Technology, went from joblessness to enrolling in an evangelical school, through which he became a pastor.
Yet, he said he needed more out of life.
Andrew said he moved to Plateau State to look for a job until the poor condition of the job forced him to move to Abuja where he took up a security guard job on a N25,000 salary in 2014.
But three years down the line, Andrew thought fate had finally smiled upon him when bundles of foreign currency fell on him while he was rifling through his boss’ belongings one day when the latter was out of the house.
He said, “That day, I was sweeping when I saw a key on the floor. I tried it on the padlock on my boss’ apartment and it opened. I went inside the house and was searching through his belongings when something fell on me from the top of his wardrobe.
“I then realised it was foreign currency. I climbed on a chair to see what was on the top of the wardrobe and noticed that there were currencies from different countries. They were so much. That was the first time I would see so much dollars. I have only seen such large amount in movies.
“I was tempted to take the money. Before, I had been hearing of whistle-blowers but I was not sure who to contact. I didn’t know who to report to. I didn’t have the number of the whistle-blowers (sic). I was scared. I didn’t know who to trust in Nigeria. I might tell someone and the person may turn things around against me.”
Andrew said he started to pick out of the bundles of currencies gradually whenever his boss was out of the house.
Then, he took the step of counting how many wrapped bundles of currency were on the wardrobe.
“I confirmed from someone the amount in the bundles. He said it was N130m after it was converted. I didn’t touch that one because it was sealed. I was only taking from those bundles,” he said.
According to him, for over a month after he started stealing out of the currencies, his boss did not notice.
He said he noticed that each time his boss travelled out, he came back with more foreign currencies.
He said he only checked whenever his boss was away from home to see if the money had increased or decreased. But every time he went into the room, he was always tempted to take part of it.
“If you just pulled a small amount, by the time you count it, there might be more than thirty dollar notes,” he said.
At a point, Andrew went beyond just pulling little amounts of cash from the bundles and took a few million-naira worth.
He said, “I took some amount and converted it to N24.4m and put it in my account.
When Andrew’s boss, Emmanuel, first noticed that a huge part of his cash was gone, he became suspicious of his security guard only when he discovered that the latter was using an iPhone 7 cell phone even though his salary was just N25,000.
When Andrew’s room was searched, expensive designer clothes were also found there.
He was apprehended when Emmanuel informed the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team.
At the police station, he confessed and N24 million was found in his account.
He also took the police to an apartment that he rented in town where expensive phones were recovered from his girlfriend.
Andrew said, “I bought clothes and mobile phones. I was not even able to wear any of the clothes because I bought them recently. Part of the money I had recently changed to naira was in my bag when I was searched.
“Last Friday when my boss discovered the cash missing, he ordered that nobody should go out of the compound and started searching everybody. His sister who is an official with the Department of State Services came also and checked my phone and bags.
“They took my passport, ATM cards and everything I had before handing me over to SARS. I told my oga I would implicate him by reporting him to EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission). He said he had been good to me, but I told him his wife had not given me food over the last three years. It is part of the reasons why I did what I did.
“Even when I was employed, I was told my salary would be increased every four months. I was told I would also be fed but that promise was not kept. My boss said the money was not his.”
Andrew said he knew that what he did was wrong but that anytime he asked his boss for money, he always told him he had no money even though he knew about the foreign currencies in the house.
The police have said the suspect would be charged to court soon.
Speaking with Punch, Mercy Aigbe has revealed the extent of the injuries she sustained during the last violent attack from her husband, Lanre Gentry, which of course drew the media attention.
The actress has also disclosed that the case is currently being handled by the appropriate authorities.
“The case is no longer between my husband and I. It is now between the Office of Public Defenders, Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and my husband. The officer is the one handling the case,” she said.

On why she chose to speak up:
“I cannot be washing my dirty linen in public and that is why I do not want to go into details of my marriage. It is not in my place to send him to jail. I only reported to the appropriate authorities and I just need him to show remorse for what he has done to me. He does not know the gravity of what he has done to me, the pains that I feel right now and the trauma I have gone through. I am still in pains and I am bleeding internally because I am still coughing out blood. Instead of him to be remorseful, he was busy going online to say all sorts of things about me and concocting lies. He has been fabricating stories to taint my image because he knows I am the one with a reputation at stake. I intentionally did not say anything even though I have proof of everything I have to say. Instead of my husband to show some sense of responsibility and own up to what he did, he was busy dragging my name in the mud.”
Why she stayed in the violent relationship:
“I endured all the things that I went through in his hands because of my children and also because of the fact that people look up to me as a role model. I have been through a lot and I pray and fast a lot so that things would go on smoothly. I have been praying and enduring a lot but this last time, the beating was brutal and he almost killed me.”
On allegations that she was promiscuous:
“Before I got married, there was no scandal about me being promiscuous, no one could say that I was sleeping around; so why would I now do such as a married woman? If I were that promiscuous like he claims, how come no journalist has ever reported such stories about me? I have been working so hard to build my brand and now he wants to rubbish it.”
On the last violent attack that broke the dam:
“The problem with him is that he cannot control his anger and I have advised him on several occasions to see a therapist or enroll in anger management class to learn how to control his temper but he refused. He gets violent whenever he is angry and that is his problem. There is no way a couple would not fight but it does not always have to lead to physical violence. On that fateful day, he hit my head on the wall just because I found out that he was having an affair with someone very close to me and we had an argument. He came to beat me at my tailor’s place. He even beat my make-up artiste and broke her hand. It was from that place that I was rushed to the hospital very late that night. When he was beating me, he was acting as if he was possessed. Ever since he had been beating me, he had never beaten me to this extent. It was as if he had made up his mind to kill me or blind me so that my career would end. I don’t know why he is doing all this. I have offered to take him to church but whenever we get there, he would refuse to enter. I tried all my best. If only he went for therapy, all this would not have happened and I don’t have to stay with him till he kills me. Imagine if I had died that day, I wonder what kind of cover up story he would have released to the public.”
On what she wants now:
“I am fighting for my life because if I die there would be no image to protect. I just want him to sign an undertaking that nothing would happen to me because a man who is capable of sending thugs to the house is capable of anything. Someone who can set me up and lie that I have mental illness can do anything. He should sign the undertaking and we should go our different ways. If not, I would leave the case to the appropriate agency and the law would take its full course.”
