Tokunbo Idowu, popularly known as TBoss in a chat with The nation has reacted to the controversial article written by former presidential adviser on media and publicity, Reuben Abati.
Recall, Reuben Abati wrote an article titled: “Big Brother Naija – Television As Madness”, where he penned his thoughts on the reality show.
His opinion piece was divided into lessons and hard knocks revolved around the resounding talking points of the show. However, he seemed centered on Tboss as he writes about her behavior in the house when compared to her rival Bisola and eventual winner Efe.
The article reads in part:
Lesson three: humility pays. At the end of the day, in the last week of the program, the decision by the viewing public was a moral, sentimental one. The biggest star of the program was, I don’t know what you think, Tboss (real name: Tokunbo Idowu), half Nigerian, half-Romanian. She dominated the space with her Jezebelic antics, even got some of the male participants ousted by entrapping and outsmarting them with her wiles.
She projected herself as a s*x object, the ultimate manipulator, the champion Delilah of the Big Brother Africa series. She even made a joke of the entire Big Brother concept by saying she didn’t need the money and if she won, she would spend it in two weeks to pay off debts, and in any case, she had men hitting on her, offering to take her on a ride in their private jets.
She played the role of a female barracuda. Given her looks and talents, she would have been a perfect winner. She would have looked good on the billboards. But she lost because of her arrogance. Attitude is everything: this is the lesson of Tboss’ disgrace and humiliation. When she was sent out of the House as the second runner-up, the viewing center in Ikeja, Lagos, including Kemen whose nemesis she was, danced in joy. “They are taunting me?” she asked Ebuka, the anchor. No, sweetheart, they were making a far more serious statement about you.
He also, like most conservative Nigerian writers frowned upon the over-exposure of moral decadence that the show exhibited and specifically took hits to Tboss, body-shaming her because of her breast which she bared on live tv.
Tboss and the other girls kissed and got groped by the boys on live television putting their upbringing to shame. Tboss, who claimed she didn’t need the money even exposed her breasts on live television more than once.
I have seen better breasts Tboss. I am not too sure those private jet owners will be excited by your fluffy, South-looking, slightly bigger than mangoes breasts. If the same men see bigger assets, I mean, those interesting Ojiakor-like ones that look like papayas, pineapples and watermelons, they will not send private jets, they will deploy submarines and fighter jets!
TBoss in reaction said:
She said; “I do not feel I’m an arrogant person. I’m sorry he has that opinion of me. I read the comments.
“My people actually were afraid that I would get emotional and sad about it. But I’m not. I was actually quite amused when I read his comments about the ‘mango’ part. It was actually quite comical.”
The ex-reality show star also defended her decision to walk around half-clad, noting that it’s an act she’s become accustomed to.
She said: “See, the Big Brother house is a place where you showcase yourself. You’re free to be T-Boss. Whoever T-Boss is, you show the world who T-Boss is.”
“And in my own life, in my normal day-to-day life, I don’t like to wear clothes when I’m walking around in my house. I like to be free, here (pointing from her waist downwards), covered here (pointing upwards from her waist), what’s the point? Or I’ll just wear one small blouse. The Big Brother house was like my house at a point.”
TBoss added: “I was just being myself and walking around without clothes… I didn’t go to the kitchen, you know, because, then, that is like really seeking attention or go out into the garden or to the arena. No, I didn’t do that.”
The child was obviously placed on a crucifix cross to recreate the crucifixion of Christ and this action has caused a serious stir online with many saying the person/people who did it should be punished.
The child can obviously be seen in tears… there’s no scenery of Christ’s crucifixion here… just torture and child abuse.. #sigh

Folks help me to thank God that saved the life of my best friend and good man Ezekpudoghu Chijioke. 5 days ago, he rang me: “Nwokem where are you”? “Are you home so I can drive over and pick you for us to go to Oko “I told him I was going to Awka for a meeting with a client so I won’t be available.
What this means is that I won’t be joining him to Oko community for the outing we earlier planned together.
I was disturbed when I later rang his number on Monday night to know how the outing went, no response.
I rang again on Tuesday, his number this time around was switched off. I rang again on Wednesday, the same story.
Instantly, the alarm bell in my head went off.
I was making arrangement to visit his house to check up on him only to see a call from a relieved and emotional call from him on my phone that Wednesday night.
Apparently, on his way to drop his companion on Monday night at her house in Oko, he was waylaid by Armed robbers who double crossed his car and what happened next seemed like a scene out of a Nollywood movie.
These sons of dogs barked at him to surrender his car key. The occupants of the car were robbed of everything they had with them.
The only thing that were left for them is just the shirt and trouser he wore that fateful day.
As if the trauma was not enough, he was instructed by these idiots to enter the car boot of his own car. The criminals want to take him on an interesting journey, he was told.
His only saving grace was that prior to driving down to pick his female companion, he bought cartons of wine for his family’s Easter celebration meaning that the car boot was not free for him to enter.
When the criminals saw that there was no space for him in the boot, they had to hurriedly leave him behind and then fled with their loot.
My good man was smart enough to install tracker in his car, the only problem is that he does not have access to the internet because his internet modem was taken from him by these guys together with his phone. So he had to wait till the next day, traumatized and heart broken before he could have access to the internet.

What this means is that these guys drove all the way to Lagos the same night after collecting the car from him.
He had to demobilized the car, mobilized policemen in Lagos to go and pick the car on his behalf and will soon fly to Lagos to get his car back.

Comedian AY trended of recent after he made jokes about Kemen’s sexual harassment incident on TBoss at the Easter edition of the Warri Again concert.
Now, earlier this morning during his yearly easter show, AY Live, the comedian appears unapologetic as he defended the jokes he made noting that Kemen never killed anyone.
AY then brought Kemen on stage and asked Nigerians to forgive him and move on. Other BBNaija housemates were also on stage including Tboss who looked slightly uncomfortable.

A fundamentalist Islamic sheikh has made headlines after speaking to girls at a youth night and told them bluntly that they would go to hell if they befriended non-Muslims or plucked their eyebrows.
Sheikh Mohamad Doar told a room of teenage girls in Sydney’s west that they needed to stop being friends with non-believers in a lecture that also covered Islamic fashion and grooming.
‘The reality is, my sisters, any friendship that is not built on the fear of Allah is only going to lead to hell fire so you need to be cautious.
‘With your actions, you distance yourself from the corrupted people.’
Sheikh Doar, from the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah Association, also told the forum, held at Punchbowl, that women would also be cursed by Allah if they plucked their eyebrows, waxed their body or shaved.
‘You are not allowed the remove the hair of the eyebrow, it’s a major sin.
‘The lady who plucks her eyebrows and the one who gets them plucked, they’re both cursed by Allah.’
He was referring to the hadith, describing the actions of the Prophet Mohammad, as part of a question and answer session organised by Muslim charity Sisters United.
Taking questions from the girls, Sheikh Doar told them they needed to wear their hijabs loose and with no bright or colourful patterns.
‘It cannot be see-through showing skin. The hijab needs to be as plain as possible,’ he said.
‘It cannot be an imitation of the disbeliever’s dress code. It cannot be attracting to the eye. It cannot resemble the dress of men. It can’t be a showing-off cloth.’
He also warned them they would face criticism about their dress sense from other Muslims and kafirs, a sharia-law term for non-believers.
The sheikh’s advice is generally rejected by secular Muslims, who also shun sharia law.

Second Runner-up of Big Brother Naija Show, which came to an end on the 9th of April has said she stands by her words that she’d spend the 25 million grand price in a week.
Recall that following a heated argument with Bisola on March 14, 2017, TBoss mentioned that she could spend 25 million in a week. and She also told Efe that she has wealthy men with private jets hitting on her. Her comments led to a heated conversation on various social media.
TBoss in an interesting interview with Pulse Nigeria at their Lekki Office explained the controversial comment when asked if she thought it affected her chances of winning.
According to her, she doesn’t regret the comment. She also stated that she is happy with the winner and if she lost the prize money because of the comment, then ‘such is life.’
“People will always have opinions. To be honest, I don’t know why people loved me enough to keep me there seven times that they put me up for possible eviction,” said TBoss.
“But, I still stand by that. With the debts I have, that money go finish. At the end of the day, I may end up not having One million.

Social Media has been recently awashed with the news of Ahmed Musa divorcing his wife to marry his girlfriend.
Now a family source, who spoke to New Telegraph has revealed some more details on why the Leicester City footballer divorced his wife, Jamila.
According to New Telegraph, Ahmed Musa ended his marriage during the week, after he was arrested for allegedly beating his wife in their home in England. Family sources revealed that the former CSKA Moscow forward and his estranged wife, Jamila, mutually parted ways following irreconcilable differences.
The source said the decision was reached by the two parties after efforts to reconcile them failed. The source added that the player’s decision to marry a second wife was permitted by Islam but was vehemently rejected by Jamila.
“Ahmed loves his wife and would have loved to keep the union especially for the sake of their two children.
“He did everything to make Jamila see reason with him but the woman rejected all overtures.
“Several family members mediated in the crisis but the two parties were not ready to shift positions.
“They constantly had altercations and it was affecting them.

So a distraught Nigerian lady, said to be 21, has found herself in a really disturbing situation – according to her friend, who shared her story with us, this lady, who has been dating a guy for months now, found out by his friend, that he’s a married man.
I met this cute adorable guy and we started dating it few months now… and I noticed his behavior when he travels that he hardly pick my calls and I complained about it but he always tell me he’s in a meeting or court. After some time, while i was cleaning his place, I saw a pic of him with a lady in a wedding grown, I was confused because he never told me he was married but only about his ex-girlfriends. So I asked him if he was married when he return from work but he said he isn’t and when the pic was showed to him he said that his cousin mixed the pic cause he’s into graphics and he’s still learning that I should look very well at the pic then I will know it’s fake.. he got emotional saying that his cousin uses his pic most times and that he’s been warning him about doing such.
When I was still doubting it, he showed me another pic with another lady which the cousin also mixed like a traditional wedding pic so it was easy to believe him…..few days after this, his friend came visiting, (that’s my boyfriend’s friend) and spent the night, the next day my boyfriend traveled leaving me with his friend. His friend was supposed to leave that day too but didn’t leave, he started telling me how he’s sexually attracted to me and that he can’t help it that he wants us to have sex….I boldly refused him saying how much I loved his friend and wouldn’t want to betray him, at some point he stopped disturbing for a while and as we kept talking and getting to know each other, he disclosed to me that my boyfriend was married with kids.
At first it was difficult to believe cause he looked too young to be married left alone with two kids but he showed me the pic and video of his family and said he didn’t want to lie to me that truly my boyfriend was married. I broke down emotionally..how could he look at his wife pic and still deny her? He got uncomfortable with my behaviour and left, but before he left he told me that he too was also married and I should take it easy when confronting my boyfriend that he must have had a good reason to keep it away from me because he’s bin telling him how much he loves me.

30 suspected yahoo boys have been apprehended by the Achimota Mile 7 Police in Accra and 29 of them are Nigerians.
The Ghanaian police made the arrest in an early morning swoop on a house at Alhaji Tabora Str in Accra.
Gadgets retrieved from the suspects were 34 laptops and 48 mobile phones they allegedly used in committing crimes Graphic.com.gh reports.
The suspects are also linked to a dead body that was found wrapped at the Apenkwa neighbourhood two weeks ago.
The suspects are aged from 21 to 30. Another suspect, Peter Konadu Frimpong, 34, who was on top of a storey building videoing the police action, was also arrested. The suspects Among the suspects rounded up were Ike Ogu, 24; Ike Iduozi, 23; Blessing Adebayo, 25.

The Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Osabarima Oware Asare Pinkro II, said the police, acting on a tip-off, kept the house under surveillance before conducting the swoop.
He said the police met almost all the suspects busily engaged in fraudulent cyber activities during the swoop around 7 a.m. “The suspects were all living in one big house where they undertake their nefarious activities,” he added.

The Federal Government says its anti corruption agencies have been inundated with information of how looters have resorted to burying stolen funds in their backyards, deep forests and burial grounds.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday in Lagos, said the whistle blower policy is working and has led to the recovery of more looted funds in many currencies.
Mohammed assured in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Mr Segun Adeyemi, that all the recovered looted funds were safe and government will give full account to Nigerians.
The minister thanked Nigerians for their enthusiasm and commitment in helping the government to tackle corruption through disclosure of useful leads to appropriate government agencies.
“Since we launched the whistle blower policy, we have received immeasurable support from Nigerians.
“Yes, there is monetary reward for any information that leads to recovery of looted funds, but from what we have seen, most of the Nigerians who have come forward with useful leads were driven by patriotism rather than reward.
”Nigerians, fired by a fervid resolve to help banish corruption from their country, have daily inundated the offices of the appropriate government agencies with valuable information.
“We have been told how looters have resorted to burying stolen funds in their backyards, in deep forests and even in burial grounds.
”Thanks to whistle-blowers, it is now clear that a rapacious few have pillaged the nation’s wealth through a vicious orgy of corrupt practices,” he said.
The minister, however, noted that more funds were in the possession of looters than were available to government at all levels to meets its obligations including paying workers’ salaries and providing social amenities.
He stressed that the government will not abandon the policy for whatever reason, but will continue to rejig it and make it more effective as a tool for fighting corruption.
The minister assured that as soon as the necessary reconciliation process and the litigation in some of the cases were concluded, government would give full account of the recovered looted funds to Nigerians.
Mohammed re-assured Nigerians who have useful information on looted funds that the government will protect their identities and give them their stipulated reward.

On Saturday, August 24, 2013, 13-year-old Daniel Ohikhena, from Owan, Edo State, stowed from Benin Airport to Lagos in the wheel well of Arik flight W3 544. When the flight landed at the Lagos Airport, security agents and passengers aboard the flight were shocked to see the boy creeping out of one of the wheels of the aircraft.
The security agents and passengers thought he was a ghost until they found that the boy stowed to Lagos. Daniel told journalists then that he thought the flight was going to America as he wanted to travel outside Nigeria.

However, that silly move he made gave him the opportunity of being in school today, after then Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State adopted Daniel and gave him scholarship. Daniel, whose parents are separated, is from a very poor home and confessed that one of the things that motivated him into that dangerous adventure was his dream to be a pilot. He is 16 years old now and in SS 1 in Edo College, Benin-City. On holidays, Sunday Vanguard ran into Daniel, last week, where he was assisting his mother, who is into petty trading, at the Oba market. He is taller now and more mature.
Luckily for Daniel, the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki continued, sponsoring his education and other children popularly referred to as Oshiomhole’s children. That can be said to be one of the positive aspects of continuity in government. Oshiomhole’s handing over to Obaseki, also from his party, the APC, means there is hope for these children, about twenty of them.
Some of the Oshiomhole adopted children are in universities across the country. As a matter of fact, some of the kids include the ones the state government brought back to Edo from Borno when Boka Haram insurgency raged. Some of them had lost their parents but Oshiomhole sent three luxury buses to the North to bring back these Edo indigenes languishing then in refugee camps.
Meanwhile, Daniel, in a chat with Sunday Vanguard, stated that during the governorship election, he prayed that Oshiomhole’s candidate should win
“because I was scared that if the PDP took power, they will stop my scholarship”. The former stowaway boy continued:
“And thank God Obaseki won and since he came in, he has been doing his best for me. I am very fine at school. He has been paying my school fees and I am very grateful.
I thank him for continuing with my scholarship and God will bless him. But I want to see him and thank him personally”.
Asked about his school work and ambition to be a pilot, Daniel said:
“My school has teachers who are well trained. Gov. Ohsiomhole rehabilitated our school and recruited good teachers who have been doing very well. In fact, my school is better than most private schools which big men’s children attend. I like the school and enjoy my studies. I am a member of the school cricket team and I am doing very well. I am a science student and I am good in computer studies. I wanted to be a pilot but I think I will do better in computer engineering. I have been told that I can still do piloting after becoming a computer engineer”.
Recalling his experience inside the wheel that day he stowed away, Daniel stated:
“I was 13 years then when I entered the wheel well of the plane. Each time I see a plane flying, I always look at it and remember what I did. In fact, now, I feel stupid each time I remember that incident but I believe God wanted it to be that way. If not, I would not have gotten this scholarship and I am from a poor home.
My mother is struggling to train us including my siblings and it has not been easy. But thank God, after what happened, our governor then, Comrade Oshiomhole, gave me scholarship after he invited me to his office. Governor Oshiomhole helped me that time. He discovered me and told me that I should work hard so that I could achieve all I want in life. He gave me a chance to be educated and I am very grateful to him.
“I always discuss the issue with my friends in school and some of them wished they were me. Whichever way you look at it, I have entered the plane before but most of them have not. So sometimes I feel proud of what I did and sometimes I feel stupid when I was told that I could have died in the incident”.
Told that the wheel well of the plane is always hot, and whether he felt the heat, he replied:
“It was not hot really. The temperature was normal. I was really not scared of anything because I was determined to travel out. The only thing is that I now have one challenge in my ears due to the noise from the engines of the plane. It is like the noise still echoes in my ears giving me the impression that I may have problems with my ears.
“The only issue I want to appeal to Governor Obaseki now is that I want to see him and thank him. He is a good father. Again I want to beg him to help my mother. We don’t have a home right now because my mum can’t pay house rent. The landlord is threatening to give us quit notice. And now that I am on holidays, I am scared of where to stay. Each time we are at home, the landlord will come with a lawyer and they will be harassing my mum over house rent. It is really disturbing. I want to appeal to Governor Obaseki to help my mum in that regard. And I still want to travel outside Nigeria to further my education and learn more. I want to grow up as a responsible man so that I can help my mother.
We are four in the family and it is hard for my mum to pay my sisters’ school fees. She is into petty trading and after she manages to give us food, it is always difficult to pay house rent and school fees for my sisters. I wish my mother is doing a big business that would have helped her to provide well for us. So I really want to do something extra for myself and that is why I will be happy to go to a place where I can be schooling and working to make money and help the family”.
A Popular runs-girl, Kenyan Socialist, Sheila Wetangula has called out her colleague, a Nigerian, Nonye Olumba who she’s accusing of stealing what belongs to her.
