Everyone certainly amused after a couple held arguably Kenya’s simplest wedding – donning plain red t-shirts for their special day, the couple have now landed a huge surprise for themselves after their story went viral.

Several companies and individuals who fell in love with their humble wedding have come forward with offers of a fully paid luxury honeymoon and so much more.

Ann and Wilson Mutura had spent only KSh 100 for their nuptials officiated by a pastor going by the name Prince Jasper Ojwach on Facebook.

While Wilson wore a red t-shirt, khaki trousers and grey sneakers, the bride wore a similar top, a denim skirt and simple open black shoes.

Many people in Kenya and international community were so ecstatic about the wedding that here is so far, a list of offers the couple have gotten from the public. They are as listed by one Ndung’u Nyoro:

Husband Mutura narrates how their wedding happened as told by Ndungu Nyoro on Facebook:

In 2016, we started planning for our wedding, Pastor Jasper even started announcing in Church. We had planned for the wedding to be in December 2016 and every church member was looking forward to it.
Unfortunately we could not raise money for the wedding. I am employed to sell apples in a mkokoteni where I’m paid on commission. If I sell apples worth kshs 1000, I am paid kshs 100.
Having not raised the cash, we cancelled the wedding.
In as much as we couldn’t raise money, we still wanted to do it in a Godly way. We talked to our pastor about it and later visited our parents from both sides who okayed our move. They had no problem with us not paying dowry now, in fact they wanted it done later, something that made us happy.
On the material day, I had 200 shillings in my pocket. I went to church as usual but waited after praise and worship session when I dashed to a malimali shop where I bought my rings at KSh 100. The remainder is what we took for our first supper as a married couple.

Mother From Hell Abandons Husband In Jail, Dumps Baby In Orphanage, Moves In With 4th Husband.

A 28-year-old lady allegedly abandoned her husband’s home, dumped her two-year-old daughter in an orphanage and moved in with her fourth husband in Abuja.

Right now, police officers are working on figuring out why she did that, after a 34-year-old jail returnee, Paul Jubril reported that his wife, Blessing Ochonogor killed their daughter Ifeoma and fled to live with another man.

Saturday Sun gathered that the live-in-lovers were living on Jaja Street, Kubwa area of Abuja, with their two kids before Paul went to jail for an unknown offence.

Upon return from Suleja prison about two weeks ago, Paul, from Etsako LGA, Edo State, discovered that Blessing who hails from Benue state had fled their apartment with their two kids.

Speaking to Saturday Sun at the police station, Paul said,

“I went to Suleja prison. When I came back in January 2017, I couldn’t find my wife and two kids. It was later I heard that my daughter Ifeoma was at an orphanage home at Arab Road, Kubwa Abuja.”
While trying to consider what could have led Blessing to do what she did, Paul said,
“I remember we had a misunderstanding in 2015 but I didn’t know she would pack out of the house with our two children, Peter Smith who is seven years old and Ifeoma who is two years and three months.”

Police findings show that after leaving her husband’s home, Blessing who had had two kids for two men before moving in with Paul, took her baby to an orphanage home where she lied to them that the baby’s parents had died. After dropping the baby at the orphanage, she was said to have moved in with another of her suitors as her fourth husband.

It was not long before the baby began to grow lean and sick. Efforts by the orphanage to treat the baby led to the discovery that she had been infected with HIV.

This prompted officials to search for ‘the good Samaritan’ who brought the baby. When the baby was eventually returned to her, it was almost too late as she died soon after.

“I have to report the case at Kubwa phase 4 police station Abuja. I didn’t believe that my child could die of HIV. When I was going to prison in December 2016, my child was in good health. I don’t know why my child will die of HIV. I don’t have HIV, likewise, my seven years old son, Peter Smith. I want to know the cause of death of my child.
“My child is now at the mortuary at Kubwa General Hospital. Before I bury my child, I am still insisting to know what killed her. It is my girlfriend who is responsible for the death of my child”, the angry father lamented.

In her own account, Blessing Ochonogor told Saturday Sun that she was not legally married to Paul, adding,

“myself and Paul Jubril merely had boyfriend and girlfriend relationship.” According to her,:
“Suddenly, I discovered I have got two children for him.”

While justifying why she had to move out of Paul’s home, she said,

“Whenever I have a quarrel with my boyfriend, he used to beat me to a state of coma. When I couldn’t bear it anymore, I have to pack out from the house to sleep in an uncompleted building for three days.”

“When I could not bear it, I took my child Ifeoma to the orphanage home at Arab Road, Kubwa Abuja. I deceived them that the parents of the child are dead. It’s true, I didn’t go there to check my child, and I went only once. Later, I went to marry another man.

“Suddenly, the orphanage home called me that the child I brought to them was ill. I refused to go there initially but later I went and took the child to Gwarimpa General Hospital and they diagnosed her of HIV and we were referred to the National Hospital but in the process the baby died on December 2016”, she added.

Pleading innocence on the death of the baby, the Benue State-born mother of four added that,

“I never killed my child. It was frustration that prompted me to take the child to orphanage home. My Father and Mother are not living together. There is nobody I can handover my child to when I was in predicament. Since I am no longer with my boyfriend, he has threatened to kill me. Since the death of my child, my boyfriend has been accusing me of killing our child with HIV.”

“It is not possible to kill my own daughter. When life is so difficult for me, I have to marry another man. My boyfriend didn’t give us rest of mind since he came back from prison. My boyfriend has frustrated my life and I am not going back to his house again”, she stated.

When contacted, the FCT Police Commissioner, Mr. Mohammed Mustapha told Saturday Sun that his Command would encourage the duo of Paul and Blessing to settle their differences and bury the baby abandoned in the morgue.

Sapele town in Delta state was yesterday thrown into chaos after residents took to the streets to hold a massive protest against the Benin Electricity company (BEDC) over epileptic power supply.

According to the people, they are tired of paying for darkness, henceforth, what they want is No Light No Bill. The protesters also shut down the Sapele Power Station and Sapele.

Work Center at Ogorode because BEDC has put Sapele and environs in total black out. Some even came out with generators on their heads to also protest.

Huh?! Chicken Gets Locked Up In Prison For Causing Chaos. (Photos)

A rooster has been jailed in Honduras after causing chaos when he invaded a neighbour’s field – the bird was caged by the police after its owner got into a fierce row with another man in the city of Trujillo in the northern Honduran department of Colon.

Officers incarcerated the cockerel after it raided a plot of land, climbing trees and shattering the peace with loud cries.

The land owner threatened to silence the offender – only for the owner to retaliate by warning:

‘If you kick the rooster I will kill you.’

The row escalated and concerned neighbours called police, fearing the men were about to hurt or even kill each other.

Instead of arresting the men, officials captured the rooster and took it to the local jail – promising to free him only when the men reached an agreement.

A picture shows the brown and black cockerel wandering around its cell and looking out through the bars.

Other pictures shows the chicken being checked in at the prison’s desk, and officers attaching an identity tag to its leg. The arguing men were not named in local reports.

Peacemaker Kills Fighter With Plank For Being Rude In Lagos.

One Mohammed Bello of Bode Thomas Street, Surulere, Lagos State has been arrested for the alleged murder of a 32-year-old scrap collector, Ismaila Abdullahi.

He was apprehended along with one Tunde, who had fought with Abdullahi.

Bello had allegedly used a plank to hit Abdullahi on the head, which made him to slump and die afterwards.

PUNCH Metro reports that the victim, whose address had yet to be known, was scavenging at a rubbish dump around Ogudu Grammar School when an altercation broke out between him and Tunde, who reportedly challenged his movement in the area.

It was gathered that the disagreement led to fisticuffs during which one Olanrewaju called Bello to join him in separating the fighters. But the scrap collector reportedly felt that he had been humiliated by Tunde while Bello was separating them.

He was said to have abused the peacemaker, who became angry in the process and attacked him with a plank.

A mechanic in the area, who gave his name as Kehinde Bamidele, told Punch that Abdullahi collapsed and was rushed to the Gbagada General Hospital where he died.

He said,

“I don’t really know what led to the fight between Tunde and Ismaila (Abdullahi). But a friend said Tunde wanted to stop him from picking scraps. After Mohammed (Bello) had separated them, Ismaila started abusing him, saying Mohammed gave Tunde an advantage to punch him while separating them.
“Mohammed told Ismaila that he was rude to him and vowed to deal with him if he persisted. But he continued to abuse Mohammed, who became angry. He hit Ismaila with a plank on the head. He fell and later died at a hospital.”
Another eyewitness said the case was reported to policemen at the Area H Command, Ogudu, who arrested Bello and Tunde.
“Ismail is from the North. I only see him around; I don’t know his family,” he added.

In another development, a sales boy at a shop on Ojekunle Street, Papa Ajao, Mushin, has been beaten to death by a three-man gang.

The sales boy was sent on an errand to a neighbouring street, when the gang confronted him. The assailants were said to have beaten him up and stabbed him in the armpit and fled the scene.

“He had lost a lot of blood before he was taken to a hospital. He eventually died and his body was deposited at the Mainland General Hospital, Yaba for autopsy,” a police source said.

The source said one Adeshile, who was allegedly involved in the attack had been arrested, adding that the police were on the trail of two fleeing suspects.

The acting Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, confirmed the Ogudu incident and promised to get back with comments on the sales boy’s murder.

Ghanaian Counselor Adofoli, shares that you shouldn’t marry anyone whose phone is password protected, he even uses scriptural references to back himself up.

If you are single and thinking of marriage, then please don’t marry anyone who puts passwords or locks on their phone as a form of security to prevent you from accessing their conversations.

They can surely do this for other security measures, but you must not be the reason for this action.

I am very much aware that passwords or lock are for security purposes but one thing I don’t approve of is when a spouse becomes the reason for that security measure.

There is nothing like secrecy or privacy in marriage, let no one deceive you there is, and let no one tell you he or she is doing that to save you from getting hurt. Marriage is a holy institution, there is nothing like hiding. Marriage is made for life and one of the very things that can destroy it is acts of hiding things.

The bible says in Genesis 2:25 (TLB) “Now although the man and his wife were both naked, neither of them was embarrassed or ashamed”. What are you embarrassed or ashamed of your spouse seeing? If you can’t be truthful, honest and transparent with them, then there is no need getting married to them. It doesn’t matter how you feel about them.

Mark 10:8 (NLV) says “The two will become one. So they are no longer two, but one”. I therefore suggest to you, if he or she is hiding things from you, it simply means they don’t want to become one with you. Such a marriage won’t last.

Donald Trump To Sign Order Restricting Refugees And Muslims From Entering US.

It’s been reported that newly sworn-in U.S President, Donald Trump is to sign several executive orders restricting immigration to the United States from Muslim countries.

The new President will restrict access to the US for refugees and some visa holders from countries including Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, it has been claimed.

The report came via Reuters who spoke to several congressional aides and immigration experts briefed on the matter. The announcement will be made on Wednesday at the US Department of Homeland Security.

Muslim campaign groups said they were preparing for the details of the order, but indicated Trump may face a legal fight. During his campaign, Trump promised to temporarily ban all Muslims from entering the United States as an apparent measure to combat terrorism.

Matharoo Sisters Neglect Court Appearance, Issued Bench Warrant.

According to Politics Nigeria, Kiran and Jyoti Matharoo failed to show up in court Wednesday, to continue a hearing on their case, and have been issued bench warrant.

Recall that there were reports that the sisters quietly left the country last week ahead of their scheduled appearance at the Yaba Magistrate Court.

“The two sisters alongside their Nigerian accomplice, Babatunde Oyebode a.k.a Baudex are currently facing charges of extortion, cyber-bullying and blackmail.

The trio met their waterloo after trying to blackmail billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola

The case, with file no. A/203/2016, which is between the Lagos state commissioner of police and the 3 defendants following a petition filed to the police by Otedola, was called up at about 10:03 am on Wednesday.

Only Oyebode and his legal counsel showed up, spotting a brown blazer and black trousers, Oyebode briskly walked to the stand.

When queried by the presiding judge, Justice E.A Ojo on the whereabouts of the girls, Oyebode quickly stated that he had no knowledge of their whereabouts.

After having a brief chat with court officials, Justice Ojo issued a bench warrant for the girls and placed an order for their sureties to show cause. Justice Ojo then filed for the case to be transferred to the Federal high court in Lagos.

The matter has been adjourned to the 1st of March 2017.

The absence of the ladies in court today has fueled rumors that the two sisters allegedly fled Nigeria silently last week. It is believed the sisters are still in possession of some digital copies of compromising pictures and videos of randy businessmen and politicians discovered on laptops and iPads seized from them by the Nigerian police.”

Usain Bolt and the 2008 Jamaica 4x100m relay team have been stripped of their Olympic gold medals.

It comes after teammate re-analysis of a drug sample offered by teammate Nesta Carter was found to have tested positive. Carter, now 31, tested positive for the prohibited substance methylhexaneamine.

A statement released by the IOC disciplinary commission declared:

“The Athlete, Nesta Carter is found to have committed an anti-doping rule violation pursuant to the IOC Anti-Doping Rules applicable to the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing in 2008.
Carter is disqualified from the men’s 4x100m relay event in which he participated upon the occasion of the Olympic Games Beijing 2008.
The Jamaican team is disqualified from the men’s 4x100m relay event. The corresponding medals, medallist pins and diplomas are withdrawn and shall be returned.”

Carter was on a on the list of 31 athletes who failed retests, which took place using the latest scientific techniques, in a bid to catch out drug cheats ahead of last year’s Olympics in Rio.

Georgina Onuoha Lauds Gov. Fayose For Preventing Apostle Suleiman’s Arrest, Slams DSS.

Governor Fayose on Tuesday midnight made a plan to arrest Apostle Johnson Suleiman of the Omega Fire Ministry by the DSS for speaking against Fulani herdsmen killing of Nigerians at his crusade last Sunday turn into a debacle.

While Daddy Freeze reacted to the report, stating is disappointed in the man of God, actress, Georgina Onuoha, has lauded Governor Fayose for preventing the arrest and also slammed the DSS and the FG.

She wrote:

“This is disturbing..
That a man of God stands on his pulpit to preach against the mass killings melted on Nigerians by the Fulani Herdes men and DSS wants to arrest him?
Wow what happened to freedom of speech? What happened to the rights of Christians and other Hausas both Muslims and Christians that have been killed by these normads grazing people’s farmlands and killing? I am yet to see DSS call for their arrest??? Because a man of God is asking his people and followers to protect themselves and families from these Fulani cattlemen; DSS attempted to arrest him? I hope they don’t start what they can not finish. It is true Christianity preaches tolerance but it gets to a point , where as a man, you have to defend your honor and protect those of your household. I am yet to see or hear our Fulani president condemn this barbaric acts and unjust killings.. I am yet to see the political leaders from the north defend and reject this unjust killings, I’m yet to see the spiritual leaders and traditional rulers from the north condemn these acts; despite the fact that most innocent victims of these menace have been the northerners? I have not and yet to see the greedy Igbo governors defend their people let alone protect them from these Fulani cattlemen?
It will be a big shame if the leaders of our nation continue to remain mute on this unjust killings done to Nigerians regardless of your faith, religion and ethnicity.. Our nation is fast becoming an autocratic state led by an iron man who don’t care to protect its people from death and hunger.
I salute the governor of Ekiti Fayose who has publicly taken a stand to protect his people from these senseless killings. I also applaud Pastor Oyedepo on his preaching against this madness we are witnessing.. I hope all well meaning Nigerians will begin to call out their spiritual leads and political leaders to defend them from this Fulani cattlemen.
I heart you Apostle Johnson Suleman for speaking truth to power and defending the people of your household.
DSS please go and arrest Fulani herdsmen killing innocent Nigerians and allow preachers to speak up for their people.. God protect Nigerian and all who dwell in it.”

Jealous Lover Kills Cheating Girlfriend, Boyfriend With Petrol Bomb In Lagos.

A 51-year-old businessman, Ayobami Oyedutan, and his girlfriend have been killed with petrol bomb by enraged ex-lover of the woman in Ijaye area of Lagos State.

Eyewitnesses told NAN that the incident happened on Sunday at the woman’s beer parlour located at Americana Street, Jankara, Agbado-Ijaiye, Lagos State.

The woman died on the spot, while Oyedutan died on Monday at Gbagada General Hospital following severe burns inflicted on them by the suspected arsonist.

Sources told NAN that the alleged arsonist, who is now at large, was ex-lover to the late beer parlour
owner simply identified as “Mama-Corner.”

Sources say the suspect, simply identified as “Old Soldier,” sprayed the lovers with petrol and set both alight while they were eating pepper soup and cold drinks inside the beer parlour.

“Mama-Corner’s ex-lover, Old Soldier, who was not happy over her alleged unfaithfulness, reportedly became angry and went to the beer parlour, where he allegedly sprayed her and Oyedutan with petrol, lighting them up.
“The man who lit the fire also got his clothes burnt as he fled. The woman died in the beer parlour, the lover man died on Monday at Gbagada General Hospital,” the source said.

Witnesses said the victims were trapped on the plastic chairs, which also helped the fire before neighbours put it off.

NAN further gathered that the deceased man was buried on Tuesday at his house in Ajasa Village, Command area of Ipaja, Lagos.

NAN learnt that all the three persons involved in the deadly love saga were married to different spouses.

Oyedutan’s wife, Tolu, described his death as “painful loss.’. She said she was with her late husband until he died at about 11pm on Monday.

”My regret now is that my five-year-old son will grow up without a father,” she mourned.

The Police spokesperson in Lagos, ASP Dolapo Bhadmus, told NAN that the command was yet to be officially informed of the incident as at press time.

Take it or leave it, they’re a part of our community and whether or not you’ve seen them, they are everywhere and they are on the rise!

Whether it’s greed, fun or maybe personal issues, there are different reasons why ladies become runs girls and more recently, the recession has now multiplied their numbers.

So just in case, you a saint, like me ?? and you don’t wanna come across, or fall prey to these category of women, here’s a list on how to identify them!

1. They own expensive phones.

Runs girls always use expensive phones. The problem is not just that have an expensive phone but that even their job cannot explain the phone. Clearly, the phone is high above their pay. If you ask them, it’s either they tell you they have been saving for it for five months. Or they will tell you how one of their faraway uncles sent it to them. We all know the uncles they are talking about. cheesy

2. Their phone is a business line.

They are always receiving phone calls. It is like their office and it helps them keep in touch with their numerous clients. Sometimes, they even beg you to be silent when they want to pick certain calls because they want a silent background. Don’t be surprised if they lie about their location while on the call. If she receives ten calls, be rest assured eight are from men.

3. They usually wear heavy make-up.

To notice a runs girl is not so difficult, just look around for who always go heavy on make-up. The foundation on her face is so much that you can build a three storey building on it. She shaves off her eye brow and then draws a really long one. The colours of their eye shadow and eye liner rarely agree or it is in excess. I don’t know if runs girls just lose their sense of make-up due to their “profession”.

4. They upload seductive photos.

Whenever you check their online dp, it’s either they are displaying their bo0bs or their ass. Their pose is often highlighting their sensual curves in one way or the other. I don’t know if this is a universal trademark. When they start chewing gum, you will think someone is roasting corn around you. And they don’t seem to care where they are when it comes to chewing gum. They just chew it and most often press their phones to go with it.

9. They are always rude.

If you cross their path, and by their assessment, they classify you as being below their grade, prepare your bullet proof. The last thing you want to do is argue with them because they will make sure they turn that spark in to a furnace. Your only luck is if you are loaded. That’s where you will hear lines like: I’m naturally gentle” or “It’s because it is you o”. My brother, don’t be deceived. It’s not because of you but because of your money.

10. They have piercings and tattoos on their bodies.

Hardly will you come across a runs girl who has not added an extra hole to her body. The piercings could be on her nose or her ears or wherever. cheesy Some even go as far as making up to three or four piercings on their ears. Not only that, a couple of them also have tattoos on their bodies.

14 Year Old Housemaid Flees Home With Bosses’s Daughter. (Photo)

Panic has gripped parents of a 22-month old girl, Mayowa Aweda, of Unity Estate, Idimu, Lagos, after their housemaid allegedly fled home with their child on Monday.

The housemaid, who is known only as Christiana, was said to have left with the girl around 7pm when the parents were not at home.

PUNCH Metro reports that Mayowa’s mother, Iyabo Aweda, had, while she and her husband were going to work that morning, instructed Christiana to wash plates and clothes before she returned from office.

It was gathered that when the husband, Leo Aweda, came back from work in the evening, Christiana had yet to carry out the tasks.

A few minutes after, Leo was said to have gone to a salon to have a haircut and took Segun, their first child, along, leaving Christiana and Mayowa at home.

“I came back from the salon around 7am to discover that Mayowa and the housemaid were not at home.
“A resident said he saw her going out with my daughter around 7pm. She left with a rechargeable lamp. That was the only thing she took away; all her belongings are still at home.
“We got her in July 2016 through my wife’s friend, called Iya Samuel. We enrolled her in a private school and my wife sends N5,000 to her mother every month. She is in Basic 5. She is from Iseyin, Oyo State. I didn’t want my wife to employ her in the first place. We don’t have her picture,” Aweda told Punch on Tuesday.

The mother said Christiana had once fled home after she damaged the rope used for starting a generator, but was intercepted by a security guard at the estate gate.

She stated that she had wanted Christiana to leave a few months ago, but the housemaid’s mother begged her to rescind her decision.
She said,

“When I was going to work on Monday, I was supposed to take Segun somewhere, but my husband said Segun would not go with me. He asked me to let him stay with Christiana. She was happy when I told her she would look after Segun that day.

“I told her to clean the kitchen, wash plates and her clothes, as well as the children’s clothes. I told her to pick up Mayowa at creche by 5pm. I do have a lot of meetings on Mondays, which made me to get home late.

“When I got home, I discovered that she had yet to do any of the tasks and had probably been watching television all day.

“I think she felt I would beat her for not doing the work. The fear probably made her to flee home with my daughter. But I have never beaten her before for any reason and we take good care of her. I only threatened to beat her so she could do what she was supposed to do.”

Punch adds that that the guarantor, Iya Samuel, was arrested by policemen from the Idimu division, where the case was reported, while Christiana’s mother had been informed about the incident.

“We called the woman this morning (Tuesday) to ask if she saw Christiana. She said she had not seen her,” Iyabo added.

Hours later, an enthusiastic Leo called and told PUNCH Metro on the telephone that the maid and his daughter had been found at Oshodi under bridge by the police.

“Praise the Lord, I just received a call that they have been found in Oshodi under bridge. I learnt that some policemen saw them under Oshodi bridge. She had yet to tell us why she fled home with the child,” he said.
