With just a year and seven months into the four years term of the administration of President Muhammdu Buhari which will terminate in 2019, the Presidency has given sure indication that the President would seek a second term in office in the next general elections.
It also vehemently dismissed comments that it would be a lonely walk for the President, a development expected to serve as a punishment for perceived bad governance.
According to Vanguard, the refutation was a sharp reply to a statement credited a former member of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Alhaji Buba Galadima, that the people of Nigeria would abandon Buhari should he choose to seek re-election.
In a strong worded statement last night, the Presidency, through the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, stated that the:
“suggestions that the masses will desert President Buhari in 2019 was unfounded and utterly ridiculous.
“Ordinary Nigerians are the backbone of his mandate and the only reason he ran for the office is to protect them against the rapacious merchants of corruption, who have held Nigeria back for decades. Galadima’s calculation and prediction are utterly confused and misleading.”
The masses are solidly behind Buhari because he is not stealing their money and their future.
President’s enormous goodwill remains ever strong because the people are convinced the President is acting in their best interest, despite the temporary unintended consequences of reforms.”
If Buba Galadima thinks that because he has no role and no job in this government that means President is isolated, he is putting himself to ridicule. Galadima cannot speak for the masses as far as their steadfast loyalty to Buhari is concerned.
According to reports from Ikeja, Lagos State, ex-boyfriend of Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu, Seun Egbeegbe was arrested, earlier this morning, at Computer village, for allegedly stealing iPhones.
He has since been handed over to the police, after being beating to pulp.
An eyewitnesses claimed that Egbeegbe went to a certain Keelcech Innovations Store in computer village, took two iPhone 7 and some iPhone 6+ and told the sales girl he was coming, and then crossed to enter a taxicab.
It was after he left that it dawned on one of the sales rep that someone packed phones, so they rushed and caught up with Egbegbe. He had, however, allegedly already given one of his staff, the iPhone 7 and that staff escaped, but Seun was caught.

Childhood was not an easy one for me
At times I was discriminated or called names in primary school (small children sense I guess?)(funny names, bcos of my hand due to birth casualties from nurses)
Even in the neighborhood, my hand seemed scary to them and everyone needed an explanation, I couldn’t explain or tell what was wrong with me at that age, but I can remember vividly going home and crying to my mum that I was called “one hand or bent hand or handicapped”….
All I wanted to do was stay alone and live a quiet life even as a little child and i grew up alone having no younger one(then)and my (elder)sis was far away…..
I tried to scale through high school with little or less drama but history still repeated itself again just like primary school……
Same as tertiary institution, I thought it was gonna be different also but it became worst
I was restricted from so many activities…….
Few where selected for me thinking that was the best but i had my own idea
Fam wanted me to read law, (I was told because of my hand) but had wanted to study mass communication
Now I noticed every restriction was involving my hand
I began suffering from inferiority complex, lacked social communication, barely speak in public, depressed ,almost gave up on life and i never thought myself to be beautiful
(Thanks to God , who made me understand am beautiful and wonderfully made)……
I hate it when people say YOU CAN’T do it,or Vicky its NOT for you
It makes me strive and work harder
But I decided never to let it get me down in life, I believed the way you see yourself is the way others would see you.
i decided to do what was gonna make me happy and not limited
I auditioned for different music shows until the break through came I got to travel out of this soil with all expenses been paid for
Dec last year I took a risk and contested for MOST ELEGANT GIRL IN NIGERIA and came up with the title MEGN-PLANET, which has been an interesting journey for me…..
I know am not there yet
But with time, am getting there….

This is an important message for members of the National Youth Service Corps members who have been mobilized for the 2016 Batch B Orientation Course.
OFFICIAL NYSC CAMP REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Call Up Letter:
This is a vital part of camp registration and the only evidence that you are a prospective corps member (colloq. Corper, or Otondo) and you are not impersonating anyone. This will be taken from and not returned to you. So if at all you even forget you luggage (lol) never forget this.
Tip: DO NOT LAMINATE IT! And keep it like its your life. I know someone who was sent back because she forgot hers. Also someone who had to beg and beg before his letter was collected because he laminated his own copy. So please avoid all these stress and make enough copies of this letter.
2. Registration Documents:
Foreign graduates should take along important registration documents used in registering at Abuja.
3. Final Year Student Identity CARD
Tip: If you’ve been issued your Certificate (not statement of result), there won’t be need for this.
4. Notification/Statement of Result from School.
5. Passport Photos: This is very important. Take as many as you can, about 20 in red backgrounds. You would need them at every registration point mostly. Then those of you who would likely redeploy or join one group or the other in camp, you would need more than others.
6. Photocopies Of Your Documents: Now make about 5-10 copies of every document required. There would be photocopiers in camp at mammy market but trust me, it is double the price and it saves time.
Tip: The forms that will be handed to you are very easy to fill. Attach your passport where necessary and fill them correctly. After your registration, you will be issued with your State Code Number. This will be like your PIN throughout your Service Year.
7. Certificates/Licences: For Doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses & Lab Scientists, take along your proof of certification.
Okay, so this photo is making rounds on social media and it would be bad of me not to share it with y’all!! This assistant referee in the photo above was caught lustfully staring at a female super sports correspondent.

Prominent Nigerian filmmaker, producer and director, Charles Novia has released his list of the Best Actresses for 2016, and to him, the trophies go to actresses Nancy Isime, Ade Laoye, Adesua Etomi, Bimbo Akintola, & Somkele Idhalama.
Read what he wrote on his website below:
It’s The Novia List once again!
My annual ‘ Top 5 Best Actress/Best Actor’ list has always been released for the past three years during this period and it culminates for me, an exciting year in Nollywood wherein more than ever this year, there was a competitive slant in the quality of acting in the industry.
The year 2016 has been quite an interesting one for Nollywood as one could arguably conclude that more than ever, there were more exciting films released by Nollywood
filmmakers at the Box Office than ever in the past five years. With a couple more to look forward to before the year draws the final curtains, some might argue that I am bringing out this list prematurely but I beg to differ. I think I have seen all what I have to see to know that those who make this list this year really deserve to be on this list and have given brilliant performances in 2016.
First, my overview of Nollywood in 2016;
Nollywood was phenomenal in international networking and received deserved recognition but still floundering in production ambitions, story directions and elevation of general artistry. Many of the movies which had cinema runs in 2016 by Nollywood Filmmakers had no business being on the big screen and most should have been consigned to television fares rather than wasting the recession-tested money of the movie goers.
Having watched many of such movies in 2016 with my team of judges, one’s patience was tested in many cases and I certainly hope that filmmakers would learn that the box office is not necessarily an avenue for boring movie goers with sleep-inducing fares. A lot of Nollywood movies which were released in the cinemas in 2016 had what I term ‘ the smooch factor’; which is an uncomplimentary term I coined where bored couples buy the tickets, find themselves alone in the hall in many cases and begin to smooch themselves while the movie flickers on the screen!
Once again in 2016, television series and serials gave Nollywood films a good run for money and a couple of outstanding commissioned productions opened a new window for me to re-evaluate old and new talents.
I always use the following criteria for awarding my prizes and it hasn’t changed this year; Interpretation, Visualisation, Characterisation and Enunciation.
Lol… Later when a man of God calls attachments and weave-ons or whatever you females call it, snakes from the spiritual world, y’all will almost castigate him… Can someone just tell what manner of hairdo this is?
You hair’s suppose to sweep the floor now?! Nawa oh… The lady in the photo above was snapped rocking her floor length hairstyle to an ATM stand.
What do you think of the hairstyle though? You digging it ?
Meet Harrison Chinedu, He is a Nigerian footballer, and he has reportedly broken the Guinness World Record after he cycled 103 kilometres (64 miles) with a football balanced on his head.
Chinedu who was spotted wearing the Super Eagles jersey, rode his bicycle with a ball on his head from the beach to the National stadium, Surulere, while fans, drivers and passers by, sang and cheered him on as he attempted the bizarre feat.
According to Chinedu, he had tried the feat in March this year but failed when he reached 30 miles, but after several rehearsals and training, he made up his mind to carry out the feat again.
Speaking after he achieved the feat, Chinedu said: “My biggest motivation was that I believe in showcasing my God-given talent. I know I have the skill and I want to show the world what I can do. This one is a record created by me and I am happy that I have done my own side. And it’s left for the Guinness World Records to ratify it and bring back results.”

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has described social media as a nightmare to image makers because of its disinformation through fake and distorted news.
The minister who stated this on Monday in Lagos at the opening of the 4th Commonwealth Public Relations Congress, noted that image makers in both public and private sectors were victims of the trend.
He, therefore, charged PR practitioners to devise innovative ways to ensure a better, charged-way communication network between their employer and the people.
The event organised by the Management School, London and the Business Education Examinations Council, has the theme “Strategic Management of Reputation Risk in an Interdependent World.’’
“Today, anyone with access to a smart phone can put out any information, whether accurate or not, that could go viral in minutes.
“No fact-checking, no accuracy, no fairness, no rules. They just spread whatever information catches their fancy, and they have their own public that believes them.” he said.
The minister however said that the trend is global, affecting international and local affairs including the recent U.S. elections.
“To understand the seriousness of this, there is an on-going debate in the U.S. over the role that disinformation played in the recent presidential election.
“Some even accused the social networking site, Facebook, of helping to swing the election in favour of Mr. Donald Trump, through the fake and distorted news spread by websites belonging to those who call themselves Alt-Right, or Alternative Right.
“Of course Facebook has denied that. But then Facebook and Google have taken concrete action to check this by seeking to cut off the live wire to these fake news websites,” he said.
According to published reports, Google said it will prevent websites that misrepresent content from using its advertising network, while Facebook said its ban on deceptive and misleading content also applies to fake news.
The minister said, locally, the trend has also made the job of government image makers so daunting that it is denying them of sleep.
“Government image makers now sleep with one eye opened, that’s if we sleep at all, because while we are sleeping, the purveyors of distorted and fake news are busy cooking their stuff.
“I cannot count the number of times that I have been removed from the Information and Culture portfolio on the social media in the past year, or that ministers have swapped portfolios,’’ he said.
The minister seized the opportunity to refute the fake report that President Buhari gave $500 million to Hilary Clinton during the U.S. Electioneering Campaign.
“Even when the Presidency has denied this outrageous concoction, the so-called analysts and experts have continued to comment on it as if it is true,” he said.
Frank Darlington, the manager of Soccer Warriors Football Academy, Pen Cinema, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command, for allegedly sodomising three of his teenage players, in Agege, Punchng reports.
He was arrested last Thursday, after one of the victims reported him to the police. Darlington, 49, who hails from Imo State, allegedly took three footballers to his house on separate occasions after training sessions, and sodomised them.
Darlington’s wife and 3-year-old daughter, lived in Imo State, after the two got divorced in March 2016. The police said the suspect allegedly penetrated the victims’ anuses, and would be charged for sodomy. .
While confessing, Darlington said,
“It was in February 2015 that the rape started. I usually had sex with my boys just to play with them. It was romance. We had fun together. The last one I did was in July 2016, knowing that it could get me into trouble.
I slept with only three of my footballers. I have been coaching for about 12 years. The sex with the boys was not for any ritual. I only derived fun from it. I knew it was a crime and that was why I stopped this act since July. I pledged not to go back into this.”
One of the victims, Kehinde (pseudonym), told our correspondent that Darlington threatened him that he (Kenny) would die if he told anyone about the sodomy.
The 18-year-old said he was forced to tell his mother when Darlington made it a habit.
He said,
“He always had sex with me and with most of us. He started last year. The first time he approached me was after a training session. He said my performance was bad and I should meet him at home for a discussion.
When I went, he molested me. He did not use any protection. He did not give me any money, but he threatened that I would die if I told anyone. I cannot count how many times he had done this to me. I told my mother when I was tired of his abuse.”
Another victim revealed that a large number of footballers at the academy had withdrawn because “he always slept with 2 or 3 of us every week.”
Just like South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest did at Orlando Stadium recently, Nigerian rapper Phyno filled the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Nigeria during his 2016 hometown concert on November 20.
Over 25,000 fans filled the arena to capacity to make the show become one the biggest ever music concerts in the country by an individual artiste.
Many concertgoers that bought tickets for N200 (regular) and N500 (VIP) couldn’t get in. Some had to scale over the fence to gain access into the venue, while others were stranded outside as the show went on from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Trouble began from the very beginning of the show when the country’s anthem was being recited to honour the presence of state governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu, who also hails from Enugu.
Spectators however didn’t want the anthem and began throwing dangerous items, including plastic tiles, at entertainers like Yaw, Funny Bone and Humblesmith who were spotted at the time of the incident.
Comedians, Yaw and Funny Bone were injured, and it took the intervention of Phyno on stage before Humblesmith could perform with his band.
Also, while M.I Abaga was performing, bouncers beat up a fan and his associates had to fight back. Everyone on stage was attacked at that moment, leading to the damage of equipment, including speakers and light. The rapper had to run off the stage when it got out of hand.
‘It felt like everybody in Enugu left their houses for that concert,’ an eyewitness told Thenetng.
Overcrowding is one of the reasons stewards had a lot to handle at the concert.
Phyno however tried all he could to stop the uproar by taking charge as MC till the end of his show.
Moses Mushonga, 28, had walked up to the young lady in Mvurwi, Zimbabwe. Firstly he manhandled her, leaning into her bra and touching her breast.
This did not endear him to the 23-year-old, called Chipo, but to add insult to injury, he then tried to haggle with his only asset.
Mushonga told her he had just spent his last bit of money on buying two boiled eggs, which cost 0.25 Zimbabwe dollars, the equivalent of less than a penny or a cent. Sadly he had already eaten one too.
Insulted by his attitude, Chipo flew into a rage, hitting him with a beer bottle, and then punching him in the face, before knocking him out. When he came round, Mushonga was bleeding heavily from his head. He told local media: ‘She could have just said no.’
Chipo, who was not charged by police, said she simply felt he needed to be taught a lesson about respect.
Earlier this year the Weekend Post newspaper in the capital, Harare, reported that the economy was so bad that sex workers had reduced their prices to 0.8 Zimbabwe dollars – equivalent to half a loaf of bread. But they clearly draw the line at a boiled egg.
The beautiful daughter of Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, Ebuka, recently got married to her beau, Prince Chigozie. Her momma, Genevieve, shared a short video of the bride decked in traditional wear, on Instagram.
She captioned the clip:
“The baby of the house is no longer that”
Sources speculate the bride to be the younger sister of the actress, but for years now, we’ve only known Chimebuka to be the daughter if the actress, who she keeps away from social media outlets a lot, given that she keeps her daughter off the social media radar and doesn’t show off the rest of her family, we can safely say it’s her daughter who’s the bride.
The actress had her only daughter when she was still a teen and at the humble beginnings of her career.
Senior Pastor of the Word of Life Church Warri, Ayo Oritsejafor and his wife Helen are pictured in these photos arriving at an event over the weekend, surrounded by a heavy security detail, which has got many internet users wondering why he needs such detail given that he’s a man of God.
Daughter of a former senator, Deola Smart, turned a year older today, 24 to be exact – and to celebrate his heartthrob, luxury jeweler and Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh’s ex-boyfriend, Malivelihood, gifted her with a whooping $10,000 customized iPad.
They both shared her gift on their snaps. Continue below:

Although the day and time weren’t revealed, the good news was shared by Temilola Sobola on Instagram today, November 21, 2016.
A senior official from the president’s camp has revealed that Robert Mugabe who is the World’s oldest and one of the longest serving Heads of State, will not be contesting in the presidential election in 2018, after he was reportedly advised to drop out of the race by his medical doctors.
Although, it’s yet to be officially announced but the unidentified official while explaining the state of the president’s medical records was quoted on ZimNews saying:
‘The President’s medical records are classified and private, I cannot disclose anything, but he (Mugabe) has a clean bill of health at the moment. However he is not going to contest the coming elections, after being told by doctors that the campaigning alone will take a heavy toll on him. You will soon find out for yourselves, but the long and short of it is that he is already out of that race.’
Report also has it that the president, who has endured a cocktail of health woes, including eye cataract problems, reported prostate cancer and paining swollen feet, will embark on another round of medicals in Singapore, Hong Kong or Malaysia when he goes for his annual Christmas holiday with his family in December.

Popular Abuja prophet and Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, Brother Joshua Iginla, on Sunday gave additional N5 million to complete the N10 million promised to a Muslim acid victim, Jamila Yusuf, who was bathed with acid by her boyfriend.
Pastor Iginla had earlier presented N5million to Jamila and gave opportunity to those who might want to contribute to saving her life.
He however said that he had the whole money and would complete it if enough money was not raised from people to complete it.
He kept to his words. He has given her another N5mllion.
Pastor Iginla also processed Jamila’s Passport and Medical Visa as well as Passports and Visas for her brother and Dr. Eghosa who are accompanying her. The money he provided covers all her bills
A statement from the church reads:
In continuation of his philanthropic gesture, Bro. Joshua Iginla, the Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, Abuja, on Sunday, gave additional N5m to complete the N10m promised to acid victim, Jamila Yusuf, who was bathed with acid by her boyfriend.
Bro. Iginla announced his sponsorship of Jamila’s medical trip to India for a reconstruction surgery, including her brother and a Medical Doctor, Dr. Osamaojo Eghosa, who would accompany them.
“I am told by medical Doctors they might stay in India for up to three months. About N900,000 came in from outside apart from the N5m that I gave.
“So bring another 10,000 U.S. dollars and four bail of N500 (N1 million) to make it N10 million. I was told someone from Abuja here donated 4,300 Rupees to that,” Bro. Iginla said.
“So by this week, they are travelling to India and when they come back, we will update you again to see what has been done.
“They have gotten the Visa and her brother and Doctor Eghosa who will accompany her there.
The money in Naira, Dollars and Rupees bills was publicly handed over to Jemila at the Church.
Bro Joshua Iginla of Champions Royal Assembly, again, stressed that he did not know Jamila from anywhere but was only showing love to her.
He also emphasised that his gesture was not to convert Jamila from Islam to Christianity.
His words:
“I want to tell you that I don’t know our sister and I need to stress that the money I am giving her is not a bait to turn Jemila from Islam to Christian.
“That’s why we did not give her Bible and we are not stopping her from going back to Muslim when she comes back but we are saying women should be respected and protected.
“It is not about converting her but about who is my neighbour. My neighbour is the one who needs my help and who I can render help.
“This is just the little we can do to preach love to all human race whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu or any religion or tribe.”
Yesterday morning, Abubakar Duduwale, 43, began his mission to trek from Nigeria, starting in Kaduna, to the U.K. Abubakar, who hails from Yola, Adamawa State, said he wished to raise awareness on terrorism and its effect on lives and properties of the people directly affected.
“I mean to pass the message that terrorism is evil and must be stopped,” he said. He explained that his journey would lead him to Niger State from where he would move to Abuja and then to the U.K.
Duduwale is a veteran trekker who, last year, trekked from Yola to Abuja to drum support for Pres. Buhari. He said of his mission,
“I have trekked round the 19 northern states of Nigeria promulgating the gospel of peace and war against terrorism, insurgency, corruption, drug abuse as well as promoting unity. .
I started trekking in 2008 when I decided not to sleep in Adamawa State that particular day and I moved from my village to the border between Nigeria and Cameroon. My trekking is not for fun but for world peace. We must shun all negative tendencies.”
Tochukwu Ebeh can’t believe how his wonderful mum managed to see him through school from nursery to secondary, with the small money she makes from selling food inside cooler everyday by the road. According to him:
“This business paid my school fees from Nursery 1 – ss3 including my junior and senior WAEC.
That am alive today looking a little chubby is because of my honourable mother and her business.
Many people were thinking it was my dad that was paying our school fees but truth is that, my honourable queen & her royal business has being doing that.

Apparently this happened in onica local government area, Ebonyi state on Sunday. Bishop Dr Sam Zuga turned COLD water to HOT water in front a crowd of “believers”.
The Igwe of the community and other people from the crowd “tasted” the water to confirm it was hot.
