Veteran Actress, Bukky Ajayi passed away at the age of 82 at her residence in Lagos yesterday and she has been buried according to Islamic rites.
Actor Richard Mofe Damijo paid an emotional tribute to the late veteran, apologizing for delaying his plan to visit her. He wrote:
“Aunty Bukks, I am sorry. Sorry I did NOT visit you in your last days, not because I didn’t want to but because I took for granted the gift of life and procrastinated. To think that I spoke to Abounce kunle your son (whom I share the TV series Hush with where he is such a star now as Ruffy Jackson. Taking after you) several days ago to ask for the best time to come see you…if I knew it was time I would have come that very day to see you but who would have thought that the bold, strong Aunty Bukks who has consistently defied every circumstance and risen above every situation will go to sleep so soon.
It is my birthday today and as I sit here writing you, I can only think how ironic it is that you have completed the circle of life.
I am deeply pained by your passing but I am extremely proud that you are a part of my life and I yours.

At the last Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, the actress was honoured with an Industry Merit Award.
She was 82.
While movie enthusiasts mourn the amazon, she is being buried today, in Lagos, according to Islamic rites.

1. She was born a christian but converted to Islam in the early eighties and chose the name Zainab.
2. Her love for the theatre started as a young girl when her father used to take her to the cinemas.
3. She studied in England. She was abroad for six years, as a Federal government scholar.
4. She left England and came back to Nigeria after her education in 1965 and started out working in Nigeria
Television Authority(NTA) as a presentation assistant in 1966.
5. Afterwards, she became a presenter and then a news reader.She presented a couple of children’s programmes and ‘Nigerian’s Sketches,’ a programme which was all about Nigerian culture, and Diran Ajijedidun of blessed memory was her producer.
6. She was later transferred to Port Harcourt and later back to Lagos, and it was at that time she started her acting career.
7. She started with the ‘Village Headmaster’ in the 70s, and she later got a role in Amaka Igwe’s ‘Checkmate.’
8. She has featured in so many home videos that she has lost count. Shooting of international film ‘Critical Assignment’ in South Africa, is one of the events of her life that she will never forget. It gave her an opportunity to see how it is done elsewhere, other than Nigeria, where a movie is shot in five days.
9. Bukky Ajayi’s popular movies include Mother of George, Indecent Girl, Diamond Ring, Witches, Thunderbolt among others.

A 12 year old houseboy, identified simply as Peter, has been blinded by his ‘madam’ at the Ikeja area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that residents, who could no longer stand the violence meted out on the boy by his ‘madam,’ decided to raise the alarm. The latest cruelty meted out on Peter, leading to injuring in his eyes, was said to be over improper washing of kettle.
The yet to be identified woman resides at No. 14 b, Olu Akerele Street, Balogun Bus Stop off Awolowo Way, Ikeja. According to neighbours, how Peter, a Togolese, was employed by the woman was not clear.
What is clear, however, is that Peter was always being subjected to constant beating. A resident, who gave her name simply as Tayo, said: “We feared the unexpected with the manner the woman used to beat the boy. He has a deep sore on his leg. When I asked him about it, he said it was from burnt from fire. He said the swollen eye was caused by beating from his madam for not washing a kettle properly.“ He has been subjected to violence for a long time. You know everybody used to mind his or her business in the compound.
When I saw the boy last, he was looking sickly. Hence I decided to seek help from the appropriate agency.” Another resident, who pleaded anonymity, said the woman was well known for being violent. He said everyone on the street used to keep the woman at arm’s length . He added: “If the boy comes to watch television with them in the parlor, he would be beaten.
On school days, you will see the boy leaving home around 9.30a.m . This is an ideal case of child abuse and child labour. We need the intervention of child protection network in his case.”
When our correspondent visited the compound to seek the woman’s response, the gate was not opened after repeated knocking. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Dolapo Badmos, was yet to respond to a text message sent to her mobile line on the issue at press time.

News reaching us now confirms that Nollywood veteran actress, Bukky Ajayi has passed on. It’s reported that the octogenarian died earlier this morning.
As at the time of this post, the cause of her death is unknown. The last public appearance was on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, where she received a “Industry Merit Award“.
She was visited at her home on June 15th ,2016 by her colleagues Joke Silva, Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw and others.
Doctors have praised a man’s penis a miracle after his it saved his life when he was struck by lightning.
41 year old, Zoran Jurkovic, from the small eastern Croatian village of Petrovci was listening to his headphones when a thunderstorm formed overhead and after being struck on the head by a bolt, it earthed itself through his penis.
The medics said that it was a miracle that the lightning charge had bypassed Zoran’s chest and missed his heart. At the time he was wearing his work overalls, which included a high visibility jacket and thick old rubber boots.
MailOnline reports that because of the boots, the electricity was not able to earth through his feet, but after striking him on the head doctors claimed that instead of passing through his body – and most likely destroying his internal organs and stopping his heart – the electricity had followed the cables of the headphones.
They said it had then left his body by earthing through his genitals with the help of a small radio clipped to his belt.
The lucky escapee said:
“I saw black clouds and flashes of light appear in the sky and thunder could be heard booming across the nearby fields. I tried to ride faster to get to shelter in time, but I was too late.”
Passers-by driving in a van witnessed the incident and one of them said:
“We were shocked when we saw the man. He was sitting in the rain and steam was coming out of his body.”The bicycle was next to him. We took him in our van and drove him to the hospital. Doctors were also amazed that he was alive.”

United States embassy in Nigeria has issued an emergency alert to all foreigners located in Lagos about a possible terrorist attack during the Eid-al-Fitr holidays.

A Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for the Ajali in Orumba North Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, in an attempt to arrest members of a notorious gang terrorizing Nanka Community, had one of his ears chopped off and was disrobed.
The DPO and his team were reported to raid the den of the nine-man gang, and successfully arrested Mr. Ifedilichukwu Nwankwo, Mr. Chidi Nwankwo and Mr. Udoye Kenechukwu after previous attempts by the Police Force Criminal Investigations Department (Force CID), Abuja and Zone 9 Headquarters, Umuahia.
Amidst the parade of the gang members at the headquarters of the State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), police spokesperson Mr. Akwuzu Okechukwu stated that the DPO was ambushed, his clothes ripped to shreds, one of his ears chopped off. According to Mr. Okechukwu, the DPO is receiving treatment at a hospital.
The arrest is a big win for the police as the gang had been terrorizing Nanka for years. According to the Police Public Relations Office (PPRO), the gang has been linked to other attacks in the region. Their notoriety led to the police’s efforts to mobilize men to arrest the suspects at Nanka.
The gang’s activities have also been linked to to the death of Mr. Okechukwu Udezuka of Orifite in Ekwusigo LGA and one Mr. Ebuka at Tarzan area of Nkpor, near Onitsha, on February 2, 2014. Confirming the allegations, the gang members confessed that Mr. Nwanwko and his gang killed the victims.
Following all the mysteries hovering around Adeniyi Johnson which are alleged to have led Toyin Aimakhu to leave their marriage, the actor has decided to address these issues once and for all.
The Nollywood actress’ estranged husband was rumoured to have poisoned Aimakhu, as well as having a baby mama in the person of actress, Seyi Edun, amongst other things.
Adeniyi refuted the claims via a press release yesterday, July 5, 2016, addressing his alleged relationship with Edun, as well as the allegations that he tried to poison Aimakhu.

I choose to bear Adeniyi Johnson.”

On Monday this week, the Vice President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and other government officials joined me to host Iftar reception at the State House with Nigerians of different backgrounds including Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), artisans and Physically-challenged persons.
Like I said during the reception, I want to once again appeal to those of us who have the means, to remember the millions of Nigerians who are suffering deprivation because of violence perpetrated by terrorists.
I am not unaware of what Nigerians are going through and I want to use this medium to commend the amazing sacrifices of Nigerians in the face of the temporary economic and social challenges and also reassure Nigerians that my administration is working assiduously towards providing basic needs and other amenities.
Let me also use this opportunity to reaffirm that we will not relent in the fight against corruption and we will ensure that all appropriate and legal measures are deplored to root out this malaise.
I commend the Armed Forces and security agencies for the gains recorded in the fight against terrorists and the rescue of hostages in the North East part of the country.
I also appeal for the support, understanding and patience of all Nigerians and our international partners as we explore the fastest means to end the economic sabotage in the Niger Delta and amicably resolve the conflicts within the region.
I promise you all better days ahead even as we remain grateful for your unflinching support to our administration.

As a normal naija guy I always catch cruise and chill on the weekends to forget that hassle of living in this our country. It had been the best part of staying in Lagos until I met this babe named Moyo.

Still in awe of her beauty I was practically thunderstruck when she came up to me at Lekki Leisure Lake, where I had gone one Saturday after getting my paycheck, and started giving me conversation.
To cut long story short I started dating this girl and some time in the early months of the relationship I began to understand that when someone is half-edo it doesn’t mean the *clears throat* nature is half too.
After all the drama of her throwing my fone off a three storey building in anger, dragging the steering wheel with me on the highway, threatening to kill herself if I leave and actually attempting it, I ran away for my dear life.
I didn’t know how wrong I was to think that problem has left my horizon. I always hear of crazy ex-girlfriends but only in films na, who would have thought they exist real life.
First thing this girl did was to keep calling me at odd hours, some times she will talk other times she will just stay on the call breathing and crying.
This went on for weeks and I even got used to it till I saw her one day at an eatery beside my office, just sitting there and watching my car.
The chill I felt that day was not compared to the one that hit me when I woke up the next morning and her car was parked in front of my gate. Getting apprehensive, I called her mom but this woman no pick phone.
That day after work, I decided to go home through my office back door but imagine my shock when I got home and saw a note pasted on my day in her big handwriting saying “you can’t run forever, you are mine”.
After months of this cat and mouse game, with me as the unfortunate mouse, I confronted this lady and what I heard will continue to ring in my ears whenever I see a full or even half edo babe. She said she had decided when she saw me that I will spend the rest of my life with her and so she will not let me spoil her plans.
I moved to my friends house who stays in an estate with security, I still see her at the office at times but she hasn’t got where I’m living now yet.
I’m going to move away soon, I go to church regularly now in case of spiritual attack and trust me, I have never picked up any girl at the beach, Lake, river, well or even tap again to date.

Weeks after his late wife, Henrietta Kosoko was buried in Delta State, popular Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko has returned back to work.

A young man on Instagram with the handle officialchrisay has told a story showing how his late mother has kept appearing to him in his dreams.
According to him, his mother who died 8 months ago, has dominated his dreams and he feels like she yet lives.
The man took to his Instagram page to share the story.

He wrote (sic): “Lately, I’ve been dreaming about my late mother. Is this normal?
“Apparently, after she died about 8 months ago, I’ve been having this re-occurring dreams that her death was some sort of mistake. That she was still alive. These dreams faded away for a while but came back few weeks ago.
“Just last night, I dreamt that I walked into a room and found her alive. Honestly speaking, I still find it hard to believe she’s dead and will never get the opportunity to see her again, atleast for now! Cos definitely gonna see her again on the last day when Jesus comes.
“But then, In my dream last night, I was so happy to see her alive that i had to sit next to her for what seemed like hours holding her hands, hugging and telling her about everything that she missed over the last few months.
“Does this mean that I’m not grieving properly? How long will this keep up? I do feel like I’ve let go, but my subconscious seems to disagree. Is this a normal experience?
