Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Doyin David, has revealed that she had a learning difficulty while growing up.

The 26-year-old podcaster made this revelation during her introduction to the other housemates on Sunday night.

According to her, she had been taken to the hospital due to the condition, but she still experiences difficulty spelling words to this day.

Speaking about her achievements, she said, “I want to be a host. I have a podcast called Doyin’s Corner, I own a loungewear brand, and I also have my eyeglasses brand.”

In other news, Big Brother Naija star, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, caused a stir after seemingly revealing why she’s not on the ‘All Stars’ edition of the show that premiered on Sunday.

The highly-anticipated BBNaija All Stars, featuring stars from previous editions, premiered on Sunday night, July 23.

Popular reality TV star and On Air Personality, Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha, has revealed the staggering amount she spent on fixing her teeth.

During her Big Friday Show on Cool FM Nigeria, the former Big Brother Naija housemate disclosed that she spent $30,000 (23.7 million naira) on “fixing” her teeth.

She also mentioned that she recently underwent arm surgery to slim her arms.

Speaking with her guest on the show, Caramel Plug, she pointed out that Nigerians often doubt it when celebrities disclose the exorbitant amounts they spend to maintain their lifestyles.

“You know the fans, if there is something they want to believe, if you like; be showing them the truth, they won’t believe it.

“And that is okay. Do you get what I mean? No be broke people dey do body na. So, if you said I’ve done it, that’s cool.

“I just did arm surgery. I kind of took off fat. And then I fixed my teeth too. They were just like the only two procedures I did. $10k in my mouth. No, wait, it’s actually $30k. I’m mixing it up,” she said.

Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Pere Egbi’s Twitter handler has thrown an obvious shade at fellow housemate, Whitemoney.

Pere and Whitemoney were both housemates on the ‘Shine Ya Eye edition’ of the show, and Pere was one of the few housemates who recognized Whitemoney’s cooking for the housemates at the time as his strategy and repeatedly challenged him, which caused most of the altercations they had on the show.

Well, the pair are back as housemates on All Stars and competing for the N120 million prize money.

Based on Whitemoney’s old tactics, Pere’s handler has however thrown a very obvious shade at him in a new tweet.

He note that anyone who wants to use cooking as part of their strategy should continue, but Pere is only focusing on winning the prize.

Billionaire wife and actress, Regina Daniels, has warmed hearts with a recent philanthropic gesture.

The mother of two, who recently announced her appointment as the social secretary of the 10th senators’ wives association of Nigeria (SWAN), sponsored the participation of 15 individuals in a cooking class conducted by Guinness World Record holder, Chef Hilda Baci.

Hilda made this revelation in a recent Instagram post.

In a video sighted on Hilda Baci’s business page, the Guinness World Record holder announced that Regina paid the N35,000 registration fee for 15 people.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Vee, has taken to social media to shade All Stars housemate, Venita Akpofure.

It all started after Vee quoted a line from Nigerian superstar singer, Asake’s hit song, “Trending at the top.”

“I don’t care what they are yearning about me in particular”, Vee’s tweet read.

Reacting to this, a Twitter user, who is apparently not a fan of Vee, commented that there were rumors circulating that she is an escort.

“Dem say you be olosho,” the Twitter user wrote.

However, Vee quickly responded that she’s not the one being referred to but rather another person with the same nickname, Venita Akpofure, who happens to be her ex-lover’s cousin.

Vee’s comment about Venita didn’t sit well with a number of social media users, who berated her for it.

In her defense, Vee stated that she doesn’t care, as Venita has been very mean to her in the past.

Nigerian hotel employee, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary has received a $10k reward from Davido for her remarkable act of honesty.

Recall that Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, a loyal staff member at Eko Hotel and Suites, made the news a few days ago for her admirable conduct.

She discovered a lost suitcase containing a considerable sum of $70,000 in one of the hotel’s suites and promptly reported the discovery to the hotel administration, who in turn, returned it to the owner. Read here.

Gunmen kidnap popular native doctor ‘Akwa Okuko’, kill his security aides in Anambra hotel

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the popular “celebrity native doctor”, Akwa Okuko Tiwari Aki, in Oba, Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to reports, the native doctor, known for displaying his wealth and affluence on social media, was taken from his room at Triple P Hotel in Oba on Sunday night, July 23, 2023. Sadly, two of his security aides were fatally shot and killed during the abduction.

A source revealed that the kidnapped native doctor is famous for providing anti-bullet charms and conducting money rituals at his Oba mansion, attracting a substantial number of visitors.

Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, confirmed the incident on Monday and disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has initiated a manhunt for the abductors.

“The incident happened around 11:30 pm last night. CP Aderemi Adeoye has ordered that operatives go after his abductors and ensure his release,” he said.

According to Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the suspects named Khalifa and Abubakar were captured in a video trying to kiss each other during a party, suspected to be their engagement ceremony.

However, the accused individuals denied the allegation, stating that the event was a birthday celebration and not a wedding ceremony as claimed.

Khalifa, one of the suspects, explained that he arranged the party for his birthday, and his friend, Abubakar, “playfully fed him a piece of cake.”

Sheikh Daurawa confirmed that both suspects are currently in custody, and an investigation is ongoing.

He expressed his disapproval with the lady, whom he described as a “devil”, while reminiscing on his time in the Pepper Dem season 4 house in 2019.

It will be recalled that Mercy, the winner of the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition of Big Brother Naija in 2019, has returned to compete for the N120 million naira grand prize in the All-stars season.

Back in 2019, during her stay in the house, Mercy made a commitment to purchase a Lamborghini after the show because she believes she is not a regular girl. This subsequently earned her the nickname ‘Lambo.’

However, during a conversation with her fellow housemate on July 24, 2023, Mercy stated that even after three years of bearing the nickname, she is yet to fulfill her dream of owning a Lamborghini.

In other news, Mercy recently evealed that her mother attempted to terminate her pregnancy before she was born.

Speaking with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the Imo-born influencer stated that one of her aunts advised her mother to terminate the pregnancy because she already had five children.

Her mother consented, and they tried many local methods to end the pregnancy, but they all failed.

Mercy stated that her mother had told her the story many years later and was relieved that her attempts to get rid of her had failed.

Former Big Brother Naija ‘level up’ housemate, Christy O, has thrown shades at some of her colleagues in the new “All stars” season.

The long-awaited edition commenced on Sunday night, featuring stars from the six previous seasons entering the house to compete for the coveted N120 million grand prize.

The list of housemates includes CeeC, Mercy, Kiddwaya, Frodd, Pere, Angel, Neo, Alex, Tolanibaj, Cross, Seyi, Whitemoney, Uriel, Doyin, Princess, Soma, Ike, Ilebaye, Venita, and Adekunle.

After the housemates were unveiled, Christy O took to Twitter to criticize some of her colleagues who had previously claimed they would never return to the show due to its toxicity.

She pointed out that those very individuals are now part of the current housemates and made a grand entrance with their shiniest outfits, despite their earlier vow.

It is, however, not clear who the 24-year-old beauty entrepreneur was referring to.

Big Brother Naija All-stars housemate, Ike Onyema, has publicly admitted to introducing female housemates from the reality show to rich men at parties.

Ike made this disclosure during a conversation with his other male housemates today, July 24, revealing that it was the way he made the most money after participating in the “Pepper Dem” season.

According to him, men reach out to him, requesting that he bring BBNaija ladies to their parties, where they are expected to ‘work’.

Ike also revealed that he has contacted his female colleague, Venita Akpofure, for such parties on numerous occasions, and she has consistently accepted these invitations.

In other news, Ike Onyema has jokingly denied knowing Mercy Eke when questioned about the nature of their connection.

Ike was recently asked about his current relationship—possibly a friendship—with the Big Brother Naija season 4 winner on a podcast show.

Reality TV star and chef, Uriel Oputa has revealed one of her reasons for being on the All Stars season of the Big Brother Naija show.

Uriel, who was one of the contenders in the “See Gobe” season back in 2017, has returned to compete for the grand prize of N120 million.

Over time, she has transformed her body by losing weight and taking her fitness more seriously, and even carved out a career for herself in fitness and healthy eating.

During the opening show on Sunday, July 23, Uriel, while speaking to the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, revealed that she will be looking out for a potential husband in the house.

The 34-year-old fitness enthusiast, however, also stated that she has her eyes set on the goodies the show has to offer. She further asserted that she will bring both drama and positive vibes to the show.

Many burnt to death while scooping fuel from a fallen tanker in Ore, Ondo state (video)

A devastating tragedy occurred in Ore, Odigbo council area of Ondo state when a fuel-laden tanker exploded in the community on Sunday evening, July 23.

It was gathered that the tanker driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to a crash. Following the accident, residents reportedly rushed to the scene to scoop fuel from the tanker.

According to Vanguard, the explosion was triggered by a spark from the phone of one of the persons scooping fuel from the tanker.

While the exact number of casualties remains uncertain, it is reported that a pregnant woman, three children, and 18 others lost their lives in the horrific explosion.

According to an eyewitness named Cyriacus, they were inside the church when the tanker fell and spilled its contents on the road.

Despite the warnings from the church’s pastor, many people rushed to scoop fuel form the tanker, and sadly, met their demise.

His words,

“We were inside the church when we heard that tanker fell. The rain was also falling. People were taking fuel when fire started after a spark from a phone.

Three children di£d and we have counted over 15 bodies. A pregnant woman that wanted to buy the fuel also di£d. The money is still with her.”

Davido ignited outrage on Saturday after tweeting a new music video for Logos Olori, which was met with harsh criticism, particularly from Muslims who found the content “offensive and disrespectful” to their religion.

The video showed a group of men dressed in white ‘jalamiya’ praying before transitioning into dancing in front of a mosque.

Kano Hisbah arrests two young men over alleged same-səx marriage

The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested two young men for allegedly attempting to arrange a same-sex marriage in the state.

Hisbah Commandant, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on Saturday, July 22, 2023.

According to Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the suspects named Khalifa and Abubakar were captured in a video trying to kiss each other during a party, suspected to be their engagement ceremony.

However, the accused individuals denied the allegation, stating that the event was a birthday celebration and not a wedding ceremony as claimed.

Khalifa, one of the suspects, explained that he arranged the party for his birthday, and his friend, Abubakar, “playfully fed him a piece of cake.”

Sheikh Daurawa confirmed that both suspects are currently in custody, and an investigation is ongoing.

In other news, a Lagos big boy identified as Abayomi Segun Oluwasesan, has been detained by International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) officers in Nigeria for allegedly hacking his company’s blockchain and stealing billions of Naira.

According to INTERPOL, Abayomi was hired as a web developer by Afriq Arbitrage System, a worldwide crypto space, on June 15, 2022, but he hacked the platform when his employer, Jesam Micheal, was undergoing a liver transplant and handed the codes to him.

Abayomi, who was entrusted with sensitive data for the seamless operation of the organization, recruited the services of his cronies, disrupting the platform’s smooth functioning and stealing millions of dollars from hard-earned investors.

According to estimates, he removed at least $87 million and spent it lavishly.

He established Fidoray Autos and imported more than 30 unique wonders on wheels. He also purchased a home and obtained a resident visa in the United Kingdom, as well as Tanzania and Dubai, UAE.

He spent N450 million on one of his Lagos plazas, N1 billion on landed properties near Dangote refineries, and a billion naira on the interior decorating of his hotel in Mainland, Lagos State.

He was flying across the world on first-class tickets paid for by investors. His fraudulent acts practically crashed the profitable platform on May 15, 2023.
