Religion is capable of making the most respectable person in the room become the lamest: it glorifies gross stupidity and spreads falsehood as truth while impeding free inquiry.
Interestingly, right from the paleolithic era to our 21st century, women continue to suffer in the hands of religion—yet they remain the pillars on which religion relies to flourish.
What would make another person honestly come to the conclusion that, the only way God would give her a baby is to allow a pastor to stamp his foot in her stomach, causing her pains and discomfort?
And as usual, no Christian Council or anybody will rebuke this Obinim. He will continue with his fraud and maltreatment of his desperate congregants.
This is the second time Bishop Daniel Obinim has proudly done this on tape; the first was in 2014.
Obviously, everything this man is saying is pure nonsense but why people in their large numbers believe and follow him is the workings of the God hypothesis, well grounded in faith (believing without evidence).
For this reason, we must promote reason and evidence: the only way we can weed out such diabolical conducts, freely being executed in the name of an invisible God.
If this is what Jesus Christ directs, then he’s equally a maniac as Bishop Obinim. He has his own TV channel to freely propagate and air his community-endorsed odious acts.

Ghana’S Famous Celebrity Webiste, GhanaCelebrities.com is reporting that the 38-year old actress is set to marry 29-year old “Alhaji” Ishaya Bako, the director of her latest movie Road to Yesterday before the end of 2016.
The website claims that the pair became friends after the actress moved to Abuja from Lagos about two years ago.
However, a spokesperson of Bako, who is also known for his Africa Movie Academy Awards movie, Braids on a Bald Head, and the 2012 documentary Fueling Poverty, on Tuesday denied the report.
“We have been laughing since we read it,” Bako’s spokesperson said. “But what can you do? It is not true.”

The presidency has responded to the missing N6.08tr Budget at the National assembly.
According to the Senior Special Assistant Media & Publicity, Garba Shehu, Nigerians should direct their enquiries to the appropriate quarters as it ceased to be the property of the presidency once it was submitted.
He also dismissed reports that the president withdrew the budget.
” Nobody except the President can withdraw the budget. As far as we know, he hasn’t done that.
The copies in their hundreds have been delivered to both chambers of the National Assembly.
By tradition, once the budget is submitted, it ceases to be our property.
Enquiries as to where it is should be directed to the appropriate quarters. Best regards”

So as to curb unwarranted killings by trigger-happy policemen, Inspector-General of the Nigerian Police (I-G), Mr Solomon Arase, has said that the Nigeria Police Force is considering conducting psychiatric test on recruits and serving officers.
The IGP made the revelation at the Nigeria Police Force Health Policy Revalidation meeting in Abuja on Tuesday. He said that the initiative became necessary following incidents of indiscriminate use of firearms by personnel of the force.

He said that the force was also considering establishing a Trauma Centre for its officers because of the nature of their job.
“The Police should be concerned about the mental health of officers,“he said.
Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign States of Biafra, MASSOB, has disclosed that Biafran passports being issued to its citizens are valid and accepted in various countries across the globe.
It insisted that many citizens of Biafra had used the passport issued by the Biafran Directorate of Passport, and traveled overseas without hitches.
In an interview with Vanguard, MASSOB’s National Director of Information, Sunny Okereafor, warned the federal government to stop seizing Biafra passport or threatening its holders.

“I assure you the Biafran passport is valid. Except Nigeria, other countries of the world accept Biafran passport and allow our citizens to travel with it. In Europe, North and South America, Biafra passport is accepted. Nigeria is the only country that seizes Biafran passport.
Go to neighbouring Ghana here, they will stamp the passport for you. Don’t be confused by the propaganda of the Nigerian government that there is nothing like Biafra passport.
“MASSOB appeals to Biafra citizens to procure their passport and use it to travel. If you doubt me, get a Nigerian passport while I have my Biafran passport; when we get to Europe, you will see who they will welcome than the other.
“Many people with Nigerian passport have been repatriated, but have you heard of anybody with Biafran passport receiving such ill-treatment?”
He disclosed that the Biafran passport cost N5, 000 and could be renewed with N2, 000 and denied reports that people who bought the passport are being turned back at various airports

According reports from PREMIUM TIMES, The hard and soft copies of the 2016 budget documents President Muhammadu Buhari handed over to the National Assembly on December 22, 2015, have been declared missing, PREMIUM TIMES can authoritatively report.
The Nigerian Senate was scheduled to commence deliberation on the proposed budget Tuesday (today).
But Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, shocked lawmakers at a closed-door session, when he told them the budget documents had been stolen, people familiar with the matter told PREMIUM TIMES.
Mr. Ndume, our sources said, explained that deliberation on the budget could therefore not begin until fresh copies of the documents were obtained from the presidency, the Ministry of Finance or that of national planning.
The Chairman, Senate Committee of Appropriation, Danjuma Goje, was subsequently mandated to lead a search for the documents and liaise with the presidency, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Ita Enang, and the national planning ministry on the matter.
The Senators also resolved that the matter be kept under wraps, saying making it public could embarrass the presidency, the National Assembly and the country.
Our sources said senators of the Peoples Democratic Party accused the presidency of being behind the theft of the documents, an accusation rejected by their All Progressives Congress’ counterparts, who reportedly said it was too early to speculate.
Some lawmakers told PREMIUM TIMES they are suspicious that the presidency might have colluded with the management of the National Assembly to quietly withdraw the documents after detecting some discrepancies in them.
“Can you imagine this kind of national embarrassment?” one senator asked. “Documents that were presented to us with fanfare have been stolen.”
The spokesperson for the senate, Aliyu Abdullahi,could not been reached for comments. So also is Mr. Goje, the chairman of the appropriation committee.
