Nigerian doctor raises alarm over a recent photo of rapper, Olamide

A Nigerian doctor has raised concerns about a recent photo shared online by popular Nigerian rapper Olamide.

The YBNL boss had teased his latest song with a photo showing him holding the derriere of a white woman who is wearing only panties.

The photo quickly went viral and caught the attention of the doctor, who pointed out the presence of Nitrous oxide canisters near the bed where Olamide was seated.

The doctor alleged that Olamide may have been inhaling the gas after filling a balloon with it.

Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is a substance inhaled for its temporary effects of euphoria, relaxation, calmness, and a sense of detachment.

The doctor also mentioned that he recently participated in a discussion with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) about people using balloons.

He strongly maintained that in order to effectively combat the issue of hard drugs in the country, Nigerians need to clamp down on celebrities

“We just finished a space with NDLEA about people doing Balloons. Peep the picture. See Cannisters of Nitrous oxide close to the bed. Obviously pumped into the balloon, Olamide is inhaling. I maintain if we all win a war on hard drugs. We need to clamp down on celebrities”. He wrote on Twitter.

“Relocating will test you in different ways” – Nigerian man recounts challenging experience abroad that forced him and his wife to return home

A Nigerian man, identified as Shamseddin Giwa, has recounted how he and his wife were forced to return to their home country after relocating abroad in search of greener pastures.

In a candid social media post he titled “The Relocation Story You Don’t Get Told,” Giwa revealed that he and his wife had moved abroad years ago with high hopes of a brighter future.

However, their expectations were shattered as they encountered unforeseen challenges.

“This was us several years back as a young couple looking for better life abroad. The dream was good, the intentions were good and we had enough to start.

“We just didn’t have enough information of how challenging it would get. We started life in a single room within a shared flat where we even got told when we could use the washing machine or turn on the heater (even in winter).” He shared.

Speaking further, he noted that when things didn’t seem to get better, and it became difficult to live averagely they made the hard decision to return to Nigeria and start over.

“The jobs were demeaning and always tiring but the poor exchange rate of my home currency gave a false sense of deception that one was earning good but the reality was different. Even with both our incomes, it was difficult to live averagely. Note: we were way better than others here!

At least we were together but extreme work rota meant we barely got to spend time together, marriage strained. Now imagine many had their spouses back home and their marriages went through worse.

Always at the mercy of the home office that was always changing immigration policies, one never truly felt settled. In the end, we returned back home and quietly started over, together.” He added.

Reflecting on their experience years later, Giwa expressed gratitude for their decision to come back to Nigeria, as they have achieved everything they once sought abroad.

Advising those considering relocating abroad, Giwa stressed the importance of thorough research and having a solid exit plan in case things don’t go as planned.

“Now imagine many still stuck, illegally living, unable to work for standard rates, unable to even rent a place in their name, unable to open an account, unable to have peace of mind and always apprehensive of law enforcement, unable to grow yet unable to return home!

What’s the point? Relocating will test you and your marriage in different ways. Please be sure before you copy anyone and sell all you have to move. However, if you find yourself stuck, have a good exit plan even if it means coming back home to start over.

Many people and marriages are breaking due to the pressure unplanned. Don’t go this route, do your findings well, your home depends on it.” He wrote.

It appears that May, a mother of four who recently experienced the tragic loss of her first son, is finally set to walk away from their marriage.

This report comes shortly after May broke her silence for the first time since the passing of their son, Kambilichukwu, who sadly died on March 29.

“Release Nnamdi Kanu today and see unrest in the South East become history” — Actress Rita Edochie says

Rita Edochie says

Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie, has advised the Federal Government to release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, if they want the unrest in the South-East to end.

Nnamdi Kanu was initially arrested on October 14, 2015, for his involvement in advocating for the separationist movement. He was granted bail in April 2017 but was subsequently remanded in custody pending his trial in 2021 on charges of alleged terrorism at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Rita Edochie says

In an effort to secure Nnamdi Kanu’s release, the separatist group, IPOB, implemented a sit-at-home order every Monday across the South-east region, to put pressure on the Nigerian government.

Although the order was later modified to only be observed on the days when Mr. Kanu appears in court, many residents in the five South-east states (Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, Abia, and Anambra) continue to abide by the Monday sit-at-home order due to fear.

Rita Edochie says

Recently, the separatist group reinforced the sit-at-home order, leading to disturbances and acts of violence against those who disregarded the directive.

In reaction to the unrest, actress Rita Edochie took to her Instagram page to urge the federal government to release Nnamdi Kanu if they want it to stop.

“If your husband is cheating; pray, repent and dedicate yourself to God” – Nigerian man advises wives

A Nigerian man, identified as Emmanuel Okorie, has offered advice to women facing infidelity in their marriages.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, July 9, the popular photographer provided valuable advice to wives who find themselves in a situation where their husbands are cheating on them.

According to Okorie, if a wife finds out that her husband is cheating, she should turn to prayer, seek a personal connection with God, repent for any wrongdoing, and fully dedicate herself to God.

He suggests that once her ways align with God’s will, she can then take authority over the spirit of cheating in her spouse.

However, Okorie acknowledges that nobody deserves to be cheated on, and his intention is not to justify or excuse such behavior. He emphasizes that the same advice applies if a husband discovers that his wife is cheating.

“Dear wife, if your husband is cheating, go to God in prayers, seek his face for yourself, repent and dedicate yourself to God, once your ways pleases God, then you can take authority over that spirit… We often ourselves do what displeases God in other ways but would want him to punish some other person for the wrong they did in other ways. Fighting and quarrelling will make it worse. No one deserves to be cheated on. NOTE: same applies if the wife is cheating,” he wrote.

Ace comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has revealed that his late mother’s final advice to him before her passing greatly influenced his life.

He revealed this during his appearance on the latest episode of the Nancy Isime Show.

AY said that after their parents’ passing, he took it upon himself to support himself and his siblings, including renowned event planner Lanre Makun and celebrity fashion designer Yomi “Casual”, through school.

“I came home to ask for money that I needed for school, and the money wasn’t available. And then, we had lost my dad. So, she [my mum] was seeing me off, she was practically walking me on the street and encouraging me. She said, ‘You know Yomi is looking up to you, Lanre is looking up to you. Your younger ones are looking up to you. Don’t go and do anything funny, don’t be a part of any cult.’

“But the money dem never give me o wey I find come o but dem dey encourage me. ‘I know that it’s difficult, but then, just know that your younger ones are looking up to you. Don’t go and do anything stupid. God will do it at the right time.’

“Do you know how touching it will be getting all that messages from your mum, and then you get a call while in school that you’ve lost your mum?

“So, all of that moulded me like, okay, this is going to make me live a certain way of life. That was what gave me the boost to work extra hard to see myself through school, see my younger ones through school.

“It was her message. Her message was mor like, ‘Your younger ones are looking up to you.’ That message was what gave me the foundation of everything that makes me stand out today.” He said.
