American comedian and actor, DeRay Davis has recounted how he was deflowered at 11 by two 30-year-old women who were his mother’s friends.

A man who was left heartbroken and dejected after his girlfriend got married to another man has committed suicide at Kanti quarters in Kazaure Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The 42-year-old man, identified as Ibrahim Adamu Mohd, was reportedly found dangling from a tree with a rope around his neck on Sunday morning, June 12.

Following investigation, it was discovered that he is from Gayawa village in Ungogo LGA of Kano State and travelled all the way from Kano to Jigawa to end it all.

A wedding invitation and two SIM cards were found in his possession, and it was gathered that the invitation card was that of his girlfriend.

When his family was contacted, they confirmed that he committed suicide because he was heartbroken by his girlfriend’s marriage.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim’s corpse has been deposited at a morgue in the Kazaure council area.

Although doctors had first verified that she was pregnant, the new mother, who had been married for two years and was trusting God for the fruit of the womb, admitted that she had no idea the baby was developing in her stomach and not in the womb.

She said a couple of weeks into the pregnancy, she started having tummy cramps, so she went to the hospital, where the doctors requested that she have a scan.

At the first scan clinic she visited, she was told that her womb was empty and there was no baby inside. Instead, they said she had multiple fibroids.

Veronica said that, with advice from doctors to go for further tests, she visited about five more hospitals, and they all confirmed that she was actually pregnant. She noted that while she was glad that she was pregnant, she was worried because she was always in pain.

A Nigerian man, identified simply as Ransome, has shared a screenshot of the messages he received from a debtor he loaned N1.5 million.

This comes after the trending conversation on Twitter about how people find it difficult to repay borrowed funds despite begging to get it.

Ransome joined in the conversation and revealed that he borrowed a lady N1.5 million and she is now threatening to not pay him back because he involved her mother.

In the screenshot he shared, the lady said she would stop the efforts she’s making to raise the money to repay him if he calls her ‘sick’ mother again.

He wrote on the micro-blogging platform,

A video of popular Twitter personality, Daniel Regha, teaching a group of students in a school has stirred reactions from Nigerians on social media.

The social media critic, who is known for giving his take on trending issues and giving celebrity advice, was caught on camera dressed as a teacher and instructing a class.

A newly built house that is reported to be owned by a suspected internet fraudster, identified as Ifeanyi Osuji, was set ablaze by angry youths over alleged defilement and mysterious death of a 14-year-old girl, Amarachi Iwunze, in the Umuduruewuewuru, Umuezeala Nsu in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo state.

According to reports, the 22-year-old suspect, who is currently now on the run, allegedly raped the teenager to death in his own house.

Sources in the community say that the teenager’s lifeless body was stained with sperm when it was found in the suspect’s room on Sunday, June 12.

A source told PUNCH that the suspect escaped after his mother raised an alarm which attracted residents and indigenes to the scene.

Following the death of the teenager, enraged youths stormed the house of the suspect on Monday morning, June 13, and burnt it down. The Deputy PG of the community, Mr Okechukwu Oguowere claimed the teenager was murdered for ritual purposes.

Mr Oguowere also disclosed that the deceased’s cousin, Uche Iwunze, who took her to the suspect’s house has been apprehended and handed over to the police for interrogation.

He explained that Uche Iwunze is an apprentice to the fleeing suspect, adding that they both conspired to use the girl for money ritual.

The Publicity Secretary of Umuezeala Nsu Youth Organisation, Nathan Onyenehido, who confirmed the incident, stated that the suspect’s mother discovered the victim’s corpse in her son’s room on Sunday.

“Little Amarachi Iwunze from Umuduruewuru, Umuezeala Nsu Autonomous Community in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State was raped to death on Sunday 12th June, 2022 by one Ifeanyi Osuji, a suspected Yahoo plus boy/ ritualist from Agbaghara Nsu Autonomous Community in Ehime Mbano LGA Area of Imo State,” Onyenehido narrated.

“The ugly news came late hours of yesterday when the mother of the suspect unlocked a room and found the dead body of little Amarachi lying lifeless. On raising the alarm, it was discovered that Ifeanyi Osuji, her son, is the suspect and the killer.

“When Ifeanyi Osuji found out that people are now aware of his ugly act, he took to his heels to an unknown destination. Till this very moment, he was wanted. All we are seeking is justice for little Amarachi.”

The victim’s grandfather, Raymond Iwunze, a 79-year-old retired driver, said he was the one taking care of the teenager after her mother’s death.

“Amarachi is my granddaughter. My first son’s daughter. I want the government to give me justice. Her father, my first son, is in Lagos. She had been with me since the death of her mother, my daughter-in-law.” he said.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Micheal Abattam, confirmed the incident, adding that investigation had commenced.

300-level UNN student stabbed to death by suspected armed robbers in Anambra

The family and friends of a young Nigerian lady have been thrown into mourning after she was stabbed to death by suspected armed robbers in Anambra state.

The deceased, a 300-level student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) identified as Chiamaka Mabel Okeke, was stabbed during a robbery attack at a Shawarma spot where she had been working due to the ASUU strike on Friday, June 10.

The Vice President of the Faculty of Arts Student Association (FASA), Comrade Chioma Kanu, who confirmed the incident, said Chiamaka succumbed to the injuries she sustained on Saturday, June 11 and has been laid to rest in her hometown in Uruokwe village in Enugwu-Ukwu.

Friends of late Chiamaka have taken to Facebook to mourn her demise.

One Nnaji Pro Chin wrote,

Police Spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has taken to Twitter to tackle Nigerians who are quick to reference advanced countries when having an argument about Nigeria.

He asked such people if they have ever travelled to those countries they are referencing or just relying on hearsay.

According to him, those quick to compare Nigeria with advanced countries and how things are done over there should minimize it and form their opinions on experience because “seeing is believing”.

His tweets read,

“Hmm, people always refer to advanced countries in whatever argument they have, but come to think of it, have you been there? Or you rely on what you read? Seeing is believing, see it, and believe, so that you have first hand info.

The suspect, a staff of Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), is said to have traveled to Lugbe, Abuja, after faking his kidnap, where he made a video of himself in captivity, which was sent to his co-worker.

The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed Rahaman’s arrest in a statement, confirmed that his accomplice, Usman Sheidu, who demanded a five million naira ransom but got one hundred and fifty thousand naira after extensive negotiation, has equally been arrested.

A video of the yet-to-be identified couple has been serving rounds online and they are seen holding hands and walking around the area naked.

Some concerned residents confronted them to know why they were butt naked, but the man told them to follow them to their house.

All the while, the lady didn’t utter a word but kept following the man until they entered the gate of a compound in the elite area of Lagos state.

Call girl allegedly burnt to death by customer and his friends for keeping Quran in her room

A sex worker, identified as Hannah Saliu, was reportedly beaten to death and set ablaze for keeping the Holy Quran in her room in Lagos.

According to reports, Hannah was killed by a client who patronized her service and his friends after they found the Quran underneath her pillow.

They were said to be aggrieved because she kept the Quran in a room where she carries out her sex work with different clients.

A source who gave an account of the incident to Punch said,

“What happened was that the girl was a prostitute and a customer patronised her and after sleeping with her, the customer paid N1,000 for her service.

“But when the customer was leaving, he stole the prostitute’s N5,000 and after discovering that her money had gone missing, the prostitute chased him to ask for her money.

“The Northerners, who were with the customer that the girl accused of stealing her money, asked if she was sure that he stole her money. So, they decided to go and search her room where she attended to her customers.

“While searching the room, they found Quran under her pillow and started asking what she was using the Quran for as a prostitute. So, they started attacking her; they stabbed her, took her out and set her ablaze.

“The incident happened at Alaba Rago, where a lot of Northerners reside. The girl that was killed also came from the North. Their grouse was that she was not supposed to be carrying Quran because of the kind of work she was doing.”

Meanwhile, three suspects have been arrested and charged to court by the Lagos State Police Command in connection to her murder.

Confirming the incident, the Spokeperson of the state police command, said it happened in April and the suspects have been charged to court.

“The case is at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, and three suspects have been charged to court. The incident happened in April.” he said.

The man is alleged to have become enraged when his bride defeated him in a game during their wedding reception.

The new couple were on stage during their wedding reception, which was held in Uzbekistan, when the toastmaster made them take part in a competition.

The bride won the game, and when the groom realized he had lost, he aggressively whacked her in the back of the head with his hand.

Mystified, the bride put her hand to her head, before she lifted her white wedding dress from the floor and was led off the stage by two other women.

As if nothing had happened, the groom stood on the stage, peering out across the silent throng that had been cheering the pair on seconds before.

Instagram blogger, Gistlovers, in a series of posts also alleged that Papaya Ex is in an amorous relationship with the married man who is said to be sponsoring her lifestyle.

Reacting, Papaye Ex has now taken to her Insta-stories to debunk the reports, maintaining that her lifestyle is not being sponsored by anyone.

She added that she refuses to be bullied by the controversial blog and she’s at will to do whatever she pleases.

Nigerian singer, Seun Kuti, has shared his thoughts on the kind of people Nigerians regard as good people.

In a social media post, the singer averred that only individuals who give money and do giveaways on a regular basis are considered good in Nigeria, even if they are responsible for the destruction of others.

He explained that this is due to the country’s high poverty rate.

According to him, a lot of Nigerians are living in poverty, so they are easily swayed by money.

“All you have to do in Nigeria to be a good person is to do ‘giveaway’ and ‘dash money’. You could be responsible for the destruction of millions of lives, just dash them money and they will say you are a good. Poverty must go.”

In other news, journalist and AAC Presidential candidate in the 2023 Presidential election, Omoyele Sowore, has dragged the Labor party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

According to Sowore, the Labor party has become an orphanage for politicians that are homeless. He added that the Labor party secured a mere 5000 votes during the last election, compared to him who polled a total of 33, 000 votes.

He also added that the Labor Party should not have someone (OBI) who managed 13 months of strike in Anambra State.

A suspected phone thief got the beating of his life by an angry mob after he allegedly snatched a phone from a lady in Bayelsa.

According to reports, the suspect stole the lady’s phone from her shop at Opolo area of Yenagoa on Monday, June 13. The victim then raised an alarm, which summoned a crowd that gathered and chased the suspect.

His alleged accomplice who was waiting in a tricycle, upon seeing the enraged mob, drove off, leaving him to their mercy.

According to one Kester Wilcox on Facebook, the mob finally caught the suspect in Okutukutu area of the state capital, seized him and beat him to pulp.

“Was robbing with keke, managed to take a ladies phone in her shop then he saw crowd chasing him, the keke driver left him. The incident happened @Opolo, Yenagoa Bayelsa state close to golden gate,he managed to run to Okutukutu (frying pan to fire) and he was caught,” the witness narrated.

“He was well designed and taking good care of,by the mob. I also heard from an eye witness that his a popular thief in Agudama. He claimed he is from Ogbia,Emeyal 2”

Actress, Mercy Aigbe has taken to her social media page to reveal her own side of what led to her fight with businesswoman, Lara Olukotun, at an event in Lagos on Sunday, June 12.

In a statement released last night, Mercy alleged that Lara has been verbally attacking her online for a while. She said she tried to reach out to Lara to mend fences because she was an acquaintance and someone who she had patronized her business in the past. Mercy said all efforts to reach Lara prior to the Sunday incident failed.

It became heated and at some point she tried to throw a bottle at me., but it hit the lady sitting in front of me and there was pandemonium.

Papaya ex was seen in a video that has now gone viral across all platforms looking downcast as she was being confronted by an alleged wife of a man whom she is allegedly dating.

According to the singer, he lost the deals because of the activities of Internet fraudsters (known locally as Yahoo Boys) who have been trying to hack his account.

Popular Businesswoman, Lara Olukotun has a word for her detractors after her much publicized physical altercation with Nollywood Actress, Mercy Aigbe.

Mercy and Lara were at a party for the opening of a plaza on Sunday, June 12, when both women began verbally assaulting each other.

A video of the said fight that was shared online shows the moment Mercy Aigbe was eating and vibing to a song while seemingly throwing jabs at an unknown person.

She is heard saying, “Are they mad? Are they crazy?”

Shortly after, Larrit stood up in anger and flung her shoe at Mercy Aigbe leading to a full-blown fight which reportedly caused commotion at the event.
