Omoyele Sowore Refuses To Back Down On October 1st Protest Even After Warnings From The Federal Government.

Former presidential candidate, and journalist, Omoyele Sowore has refused to back down, insisting that the October 1st protest will be held all over the country, despite warnings and dissuasions from the Federal Government.

He made an update about the protest on a recent X (Twitter), where he declared that no matter what the Federal Government or Nigerian Police Force does, the protest will be held.

“NO GOING BACK! #FearlessInOctober”, he wrote 

Although the protest will be held all across the country, Sowore announced that the main venue will be Eagle Square Abuja.

The protest organizers for Lagos stated that they would start their march at the Ikeja Under Bridge at 7:30 am.

On speaking with the Daily Trust, Sowore cited the ever-increasing economic hardships as the main reason for the protest, along with issues like fuel price hikes, flooding among others.

He explained that despite the last two nationwide protests, things had only gotten worse instead of better.

He said;

“The protests will hold across all parts of Nigeria because the scale of the devastation, hunger, insecurity, and hardship that this government has unleashed on Nigerians is national. I will emphasise again that these will be peaceful protests, as they’ve always been.

“The last protests were peaceful, yet the government met the protesters with batons and bullets.“

“We will not be deterred, though. Our only weapon is truth, and no amount of force or violence will prevent us from speaking truth to power,”

“Between the last protest just two months ago and now, petrol prices have risen by almost N300 per litre. The naira has further devalued, and prices have increased in the market. Bandits have taken over and killed off entire communities. Floods are devastating our cities.”

“Under these circumstances, can anyone be surprised that the Nigerian people want to voice their displeasure with this government’s failure to address the issues affecting them?”

“We are prepared to come out to protest. We are determined to do so peacefully. I can assure you that thousands of voices will be raised in protest on October 1.”

“The pangs of hunger and groans of pain of the Nigerian people will not be drowned out by the government,” he said during an interview session shared on his handle.”

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to reveal the stunning difference between an advertised house and the actual house shown to her by a house agent in Osogbo, Osun state.

In the video shared online, the lady @wuraolahair revealed the glaring contrast between the advertised house sent to her online and the one she visited.

The advertised house possessed modern facilities – bright walls, lustrous lighting and fully-tiled floors.

In contrast, the actual house visibly differs from the advertised house. The exterior  strongly resembles an ancient residence – earthen clay walls and an uncompleted roofing area.

The lady expressed her dissatisfaction upon arrival to inspect the house.

Lady Gets Pregnant Just Three Months After Giving Birth To Twins Conceived Via IVF

A Nigerian lady was shocked to find out that she was pregnant just three months after she had given birth to twins.

What made the news of the pregnancy astounding was that she had been unable to give birth for five years, and was only able to conceive the twins via IVF, In Vitro fertilization.

The lady’s story was shared on X (Twitter) by one of her friends, who narrated just how hard the lady had been trying to get pregnant for five years but to no avail.

In her words;

“Life is funny, my friend tried to conceive for 5 years with no luck. She decided to do IVF, it was successful, she had twins. She sha got pregnant on her own 3 months after giving birth,”

The woman eventually resorted to using IVF to conceive, which worked and she was finally able to bear twins. Surprisingly just three months after the birth of her twins, the woman got pregnant naturally.

The lady’s story has sparked discussions online about the difficulties of conceiving, and the lengths, many women have to go to just to bear a child. Others shared their experiences of getting unexpectedly pregnant following fertility treatments.

Sharing on TikTok, a young man identified as @oarhe_0 posted a viral video of his friend’s tearful breakdown at the hospital while receiving an injection.

@oarhe_0 accompanied his friend to the hospital, expecting a stress-free medical check-up, but was left surprised when the friend started tearing up while receiving an injection.

The viral clip recorded the friend’s vulnerable side, sparking laughter and empathy online.

In the video, the man trembled and expressed his fear of needles whilst, the nurses reassured him the injection would be pain-free.

The man eventually mustered the courage to get vaccinated but fled immediately, overcome with emotion.

A Nigerian man based in France, who was also a fan of the Nigerian Grammy-nominated singer, Asake accuses the singer of damaging his phone.

The fan shared his unpleasant experience with the artist in a video he posted to X (Twitter). He explained that he had been trying to take a selfie with the singer after his amazing performance in Paris.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned, as he was not only snubbed, but the interaction resulted in his phone getting damaged.

The video showed himself desperately trying to take a selfie with the artist but was pushed away which resulted in the phone slipping out of his hand and failing, the phone was also kicked after it fell.

The fall damaged his new phone, leaving it with numerous cracks and scratches.

The post gave rise to mixed reactions among netizens, as may debate whether the artist was in the wrong for what he did, or if it was the fan who failed to respect the singer’s personal space.

Known as Radiogad, the man who claims to formerly be one of the strongest fans of the transgender, stated how underappreciated he was by Bobrisky whom he fights tooth and nail for every time on his page.

A soldier in mufti has allegedly stripped a man naked at a popular nightclub in Abuja, insisting he wore a military camouflage.

In a video posted on Instagram by Isaac Fayose, the brother of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, the distressed young man mentioned that the soldier approached him, stripped him naked and proceeded to tear his pair of trousers.

The young man disclosed that the military personnel in Mufti approached him and stripped him at the Abuja nightclub while he was having fun.

The security guard on duty confirmed the situation with the opinion that the men were familiar with each other.

The caterer and her staff marveled at the lady’s outburst while they wondered the reason for her unnecessary drama.

In a video shared on TikTok, @apaseoflagos shared videos of himself before embarking on a 75-day weight loss journey.

As shown in the video, the man’s physique strongly resembled that of a fat person with a pot belly before he went on his transformation journey which allowed him to shed a few pounds.

It also showed his 75-day progress, comparing a picture from the day he started to the last day in his weight loss journey.

Contrary to what many had expected which was a drastic transformation, the man had lost only a few kgs and still looked chubby, albeit healthier.

A Nigerian lady switched on her engineering skills as she serviced her generator after a mechanic charged her ₦5,000 for an oil change.

Sharing on TikTok, the lady @ohh_its_nymph mentioned the ₦5,000 bill to service a new generator was quite expensive in the present economy.

Following the outrageous fee, she informed her engineer friend and took it upon herself, exercising her engineering skills, to service and change the generator’s oil.

She wrote,

“Thankfully, I [sic] have an engineer friend that put me through via phone call. 😂😂 Nigeria is too hard to pay that kind of money for servicing.”

She expressed her profound gratitude towards her engineer friend, who enlightened her on the basics of servicing a generator.

American rapper Cardi B has refused to take her estranged husband’s cheating accusation in silence, as she responds in a recent video.

The Grammy-winning singer and mother of three took to Her Instagram in a live session on September 25, 2024, to defend herself from the cheating accusations that Offset, her estranged husband had thrown at her.

The drama started when Cardi declared her separation from Offset and started their ongoing divorce in December 2023, despite being pregnant with their third child.

The divorce proceeding like most celebrity and public divorces has turned messy, with both sides hurling insults and accusations at each other. This time Offset claimed that Cardi had allegedly cheated on him while pregnant with their third child.

This Cardi vehemently refuted during the live session, she revealed that Offset was trying to make the divorce proceeding difficult and threatening “court wars”. She claimed he was doing it because he was unhappy to see her moving on with her life.

She clarified that while she had indeed been with another man during her third pregnancy, she had not cheated as she had already left Offset at this time and had started divorcing him.

Nigerian singer and rapper, Folarin Falana a.k.a Falz has taken legal action against self-acclaimed activist, VeryDarkMan over viral defamatory statements across social media platforms.

This is following the viral implications of homosexual affairs and intention to get a presidential pardon for Idris Okuneye a.k.a Bobrisky. Bobrisky was charged to court on the count of naira abuse and alleged money laundering.

Sharing on Instagram, the 33-year-ol rapper released a legal statement, demanding the withdrawal and retraction of defamatory statements by online activist, VeryDarkMan.

In the claims of VDM, he insinuated that Falz is involved in a homosexual affair with Bobrisky, hence, he allegedly helped him get permission to stay in the VIP section while serving his jail term.

Meanwhile, Falz noted in his legal statement that Bobrisky initiated the call to ask for ₦3m to pay officials for permission to stay in the VIP section of the correctional center.

“Be advised that if we do not receive your formal retraction and apology as demanded within 24 (twenty-four) hours of the receipt hereof, we shall proceed with our client’s instructions to seek appropriate legal remedies, including monetary damages, against you for your incendiary publication and dissemination of defamatory statements.
We hope that the salient issue raised herein will urgently be addressed”

Falz demands an apology across all social media platforms from VeryDarkMan within 24 hours.

In a video shared on TikTok, the lady @baby_dabs recorded herself as the only passenger in the vehicle despite the driver’s effort to secure passengers in motion.

She wrote,

Revealing in the video, the chef added eggs, baking powder, and Ponmo into a blender to achieve a smooth mix.

Afterward, she transferred the mix into a bowl to whisk properly. The outcome of the mix after the baking process strongly resembled a typical cake.

To justify her actions, she emphasized the Ponmo cake is specially for Ponmo lovers to spice up their taste. The chef disclosed that she uses Ponmo to prepare most of her meals.

A picture captured in the early hours of the morning disclosed the empty area in the Lagos airport with less than 10 people expecting their flight.

Sharing on the microblogging platform, the man @Oladapomikky1 felt disappointed after discovering several empty seats in the waiting area upon his arrival at the Muritala Muhammed Airport in Lagos State.

He mentioned that the airport appeared empty as a result of the high cost of flight tickets; the return flight from Lagos to Abuja cost a whooping sum of 143,000 Naira.

He tweeted,
