A 300-level female student from Nnamdi Azikiwe University physically assaulted her lecturer because he interrupted her while she was making a video.
The shocking incident happened because a lecturer had tried to pass by the student while she was making a video for TikTok. He had politely asked her to let him pass saying“Excuse me,” and the lady had done so but rudely, even claiming he had hit her.
When he went back to confront the lady she resorted to violence, striking the lecturer, grabbing his clothes, and even biting him, all while other students tried to pull her off him.
As she violently beat up the lecturer, he remained calm and held up his arms, showing that he had not laid his hands on her. She later accused the lecturer of trying to sexually assault her, citing that as the reason why she did what she did.
The man had to go to the hospital to treat his injuries, he later sent a message detailing what had happened that led to an altercation, sharing his side of the story.
It was also revealed that the lady’s mother was also a lecturer at the university, which might have been the reason she was bold enough to commit such an act.

The annual Lagos Marathon is coming up and in preparation for the event the Lagos State Government has announced that various major Lagos roads will be closed.
The event will be taking place on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, just a day after Valentine’s Day, which is a major holiday.
The State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi released a statement on Tuesday, February 11, 202, announcing the event and addressing major concerns about the usage of roads.
He revealed that the marathon will commence at the National Stadium in Surulere and follow the listed routes;
Ikorodu Road towards Anthony (Bertola), Gbagada to the Third Mainland Bridge, Inbound Lagos Island through Dolphin Road, Alfred Rewane Road, Falomo Roundabout, and Bourdillon Road, Crossing the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge to Admiralty Way, Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, Akin Adesola, and Ahmadu Bello Way, concluding at Eko Atlantic.
To ensure the safety of all participants and to prevent unauthorized access to the race corridors, adjoining roads, junctions, and intersections will be blocked with concrete barriers.
Also, various traffic officials from LASTMA, NPF, FRSC, LSNC, and LAWMA will be deployed to strategic points.
He further announced that alternative routes have been mapped out to direct the flow of traffic during the marathon. They include;
From Ikeja: Use Ikorodu Road/Funsho Williams Avenue, connect to Eko Bridge, and proceed via Outer Marina.
From Badagry/Mile 2: Pass through Apapa via Orile, link Eko Bridge, and continue through Outer Marina.
From Surulere: Access the island via Iponri/Iganmu, linking Eko Bridge to Outer Marina.
From Lagos-Ibadan Expressway (Mowe and environs): Take the Ojota Slip Road, connect Ikorodu Road, and continue through Funsho Williams Avenue to Eko Bridge.
From Okota: Use Mile 2/Orile, connecting to Eko Bridge and Outer Marina.
From Sango-Otta: Pass through Mushin, link Funsho Williams Avenue, and proceed to Eko Bridge.
From Epe-Lekki Expressway (Ajah and environs): Use Marwa Junction, connect Admiralty Way, and cross the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.
From Lagos Island: Divert to Apongbon Bridge, then Eko Bridge, accessing Costain Roundabout, Iponri, and Bode Thomas.

Peluola Akinbamiro a 13-year-old American-based teenage fencer, has announced her decision to represent Nigeria on the international stage.
She is now the second fencer to pick Nigeria over the country they currently reside in, with Folayemi Akinyosoye being the first after she switched from Great Britain to Nigeria.
The teenage fencer is a student of the Fort Bend Fencing Academy, she expressed that her love for Nigeria prompted her to reach out to the Nigerian Fencing Federation.
In a statement released by the federation, the fencer expressed her sentiments.
It read;
“I decided to take up fencing after watching people play with such passion during the World Cup and other events. Fencing has taught me patience and self-awareness. Representing Nigeria is important to me because it is my motherland, and I am proud to wear its colours in international competitions,”
“My goal is to become the best fencer I can be while also pursuing higher education. I want to reach the highest levels in fencing. My parents’ unwavering support has been my biggest motivation. They have dedicated their time and resources to help me succeed in fencing. I am excited about the uniqueness of the sport, especially the thrill of fighting with a sword,”
The current president of the Federation, Adeyinka Samuel also took this opportunity to commend Peluola, while speaking about the current state of fencing in the country.
In his words;
“I am thrilled with Akinbamiro’s decision. Nigeria has the potential to compete with the best in the world, and having talented fencers like her will inspire our homegrown athletes to excel. We believe her addition to the team will positively impact the sport’s fortunes. As she begins her international journey this year, we hope she can bring more medals to Nigeria, especially as we aim to have our athletes compete in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games,”
“We are happy that many of these athletes recognize their origins and want to be part of our efforts to develop the sport in Nigeria, especially as we host the African Championships this year and the Commonwealth Championships next year. Akinbamiro will surely be a valuable addition to our team, given her background in the sport and her young age, as we target the 2028 and 2032 Olympic Games,”

A dramatic scene unfolded at a church deliverance session when a congregant, in a trance-like state, bit a female usher, prompting her to retaliate with a slap.
In a video shared online, the usher @peehairss revealed the bruise she sustained after she assisted her fellow usher to calm the woman in a trance-like state.
As the ushers held onto the congregant while another church worker doused water on her, the woman refused to compose herself and persistently struggled with them to let loose.
Despite their effort to compose the woman, she resorted to biting the female usher on her arm, leading to a physical altercation as the usher slapped her in return.
The woman immediately came out of the trance condition following the unexpected slap, and the usher was astonished as she looked at her arm.
In a subsequent video, the woman displays the result of the bite, which left her skin with a hickey-like mark.
