Congratulations are in order for a Nigerian pastor, Anny Ikebudu, and his wife, Stephanie Adaeze Ikebudu, as they welcome quadruplets after 19 years of waiting.
The clergyman, who is the resident pastor of the House On The Rock church in Aba, Abia State, took to Facebook to share the good news on Sunday, December 19.
Sharing photos of himself carrying his bundles of joy, he wrote,
“Jehovah El Effizzy has overwhelmed my wife and I with His mercy. After 19 years of waiting….He gave us 4 at a go. Join me and praise God. Aka Chukwu di involved. Team Grace and Glory.” he wrote.

Concertgoer who forcefully collected Wizkid’s sweater, set to sell it at 200% profit
A Nigerian man, who forcefully collected popular singer, Wizkid’s sweater at a concert in Abuja on Friday, December 17, has put it up for sale.
The concertgoer with Twitter handle @due_cakes, took to the microblogging platform to announce that he is willing to sell it to any interested buyer for $1,500.
He however stated that the sweater is worth $500 on the fashion brand’s official website, which means he would make 200% profit from the sale.
Sharing a photo of the sweater, he wrote,

US-bound doctor and his friend brutally murdered in his Abuja home
A Radiologist, Dr Obialo Ibe, and his yet-to-be identified friend, have been brutally murdered in his home at Games Village area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
They were reportedly stabbed to death between 8am and 11am on Wednesday, December 15.
According to Ibe’s younger sister, Barrister Adanna Ibe, who was living with him, he was scheduled to leave for the United States of America with his friend on the day they were murdered.
He was said to be ready to leave for the airport and his friend came to pick him up, while she was at work.
She reportedly called him to wish him safe journey but could not reach him. After several attempts, she called his houseboy who said he left his boss at home to run some errands.
A disturbed Adanna decided to go back home, only to find the gate locked from the outside with a new padlock. She called the houseboy again who told her where to find the new key.
When she got inside the house, she found her brother and his friend in a pool of their own blood. They had been stabbed multiple times in the chest and abdomen while Ibe’s new car, luggage and some documents were carted away by the killers.
Meanwhile, the househelp has been named as the primary suspect in the case, according to a man who claimed to be the slain doctor’s neighbour.
According to him, the househelp is suspected to have poisoned the victims before stabbing them to death.
“It is believed that the house boy poisoned the doctor and his friend, hacked them to death, and stole his SUV, cash, and took off. I heard that he was arrested at the Nigeria-Niger border.” the neighbour said.
Friends of the deceased have taken to social media to mourn his demise.

Scary moment singer, Maeta, was bitten by a snake during a video shoot
A video shared online shows the terrifying moment American singer, Maeta, was bitten by a snake during a video shoot.
In the video, the Roc Nation’s artist was seen lying down on the floor as two snakes were placed on her chest.
However, the snake that was already on her chest sprang up impulsively when the second snake touched it and bit the singer on the chin.
This made her writhe in pain and remove the snakes from her body.
Maeta shared the video on her Instagram page and bemoaned the struggles she goes through to make creative videos for her fans.
She wrote, “what I go through to make videos for y’all”.
It is believed that the venom was removed from the snake before the shoot so it was not dangerous.

Shortly after the Nigerian army gave the reason why a female soldier who accepted a male corps member’s proposal at the NYSC orientation camp in Yikpata, Kwara State, was detained, netizens have dug up old photos of some male soldiers who proposed to their partners while in uniform and didn’t face any consequences from the Nigerian Army.
Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu said the female officer whose name was not revealed violated military laws by getting involved in a public display of amorous relationship with a paramilitary trainee, a corps member.
Also among the reasons the army gave for her detention was that she indulged in romance while in uniform.
Nigerians got angered by the reason and have now started sharing photos of male soldiers who indulged in romance while in uniform and were not penalized as the female soldier is being penalized.

A Twitter user has taken to the micro-blogging platform to share the content of a book his mother gave him to help him when he was getting bullied in middle school.
According to the young man identified as Dylan Adler on the platform, his mum gave him the book, which contained “Insults & Comebacks” to equip him with savage responses to his bullies in school.
However, after he shared some of the insults and comebacks in the book, most Twitter users considered them lame and noted that they might have no effect on the bullies.
Adler then opened up that the book didn’t help.
“My mom got me this book to help me when I was getting bullied in middle school, I’m dying.” He wrote while sharing snapshots of the book.

According to @tejumania on Twitter, the victim who was a student of the Federal Government College, Ogbomoso, took to Instagram to call out a lady who allegedly bullied her in school.
In reaction to this, the alleged bully simply identified as Abiodun, slid into her DM and hurled insults at her for labelling her a ‘bully’. She also insulted her parents and called her unprintable names.

Popular Nigerian rapper and songwriter, Dremo, was attacked by cutlass-wielding men in Lagos traffic on Sunday night, December 19th.
The Davido Music Worldwide artiste who took to social media to share the unfortunate incident advised Nigerians to be careful.
According to him, he and his friends were stuck in traffic when two men who were armed with cutlasses attacked their car, forced the doors open and demanded their phones.
He shared a video of his friend’s severely injured hand and revealed that he was lucky to escape the robbers’ strike.
“Guys be careful out here, they robbing in traffic these 2 niggas came with cutlass opened the doors and asked us to drop our phone.” He wrote.

Slay queen nabbed after allegedly buying human hair worth N186k with fake alert in Delta state (Video)
A slay queen thought she’d gotten away with buying an expensive human hair by sending fake debit alerts to the vendor but was unaware that the vendor was abreast of her antics and had facilitated plans to nab her.
In a video that was shared online, the hair vendor is seen confronting the slay queen who she nabbed after discovering she was in the city when she was about to deliver a new hair to her.
According to the vendor, the slay queen is a regular customer who usually buys from her only when she’s running sales on her items. She realized that there’d always been an accounting imbalance and was reluctant at first before she found out the source.
When she eventually got a hold of where the issue was from, she was fortunate to discover that the culprit behind it was around her city and when she ordered for another hair using fake alerts, the vendor decided to deliver it herself and in the process, nab the slay queen.

Nigerian army explains why female soldier who accepted male corps member’s proposal was detained
The Nigerian army has given the reason why the female soldier who accepted a male corps member’s proposal at the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp in Yikpata, Kwara State, was detained.
Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu said the female officer whose name was not revealed violated military laws by getting involved in a public display of amorous relationship with a paramilitary trainee, a corps member.
The soldier who accepted a ring from a male corps member as captured in a video which went viral days ago, was seen hugging and kissing him after the proposal.
The army spokesperson said;
“The female soldier in question violated the following rules of the NA:
“1. Fraternization while on official duty at the NYSC camp. That is, indulging in an amorous relationship with a trainee.
“2. A personnel must have served for three years before he/she can qualify for marriage.
“3. She disobeyed the Armed Forces of Nigeria standing guidelines and directives for the use of Social Media.
“4. Indulging in romance while in uniform.
“5. Her conduct was prejudicial to good order and military discipline.
“All the above, if proven are in violation of extant laws with attendant disciplinary and penal implications.”

UPDATE: “Madam” accused of seizing 5-month-old baby of her employee shares her own side of the story; accuses the teenage mother of neglecting her child (Video)
Madam Tina Ugbonaya, the lady who was accused of seizing her employee’s 5-month-old baby, Chidubem, who is now late, has come out to give her own side of the story.
In a recent interview with Punch, Mrs. Ugbonaya revealed that mother of Chidubem, Gift gave birth to her child in June of this year. She shared that the child was born healthy but lacked maternal care from Gift.
According to her, Gift abandoned her baby one month after giving birth and traveled to the village claiming that her uncle enrolled her for WAEC examination and she needed to go and sit for the exam.
Mrs. Ubonaya also revealed that after she gave birth, Gift had refused to give the child food and denied the child breast milk. She stated that Gift fled her home because she and her husband insisted she must take care of her child. She claimed she took the baby boy to a nurse to take care of as he had emaciated due to Gift’s negligence. Mrs. Ugbonaya claimed to have paid the nurse N30, 000 to take care of the baby. She vehemently denied holding the child captive.
Her husband who also spoke with the publication, corroborated her claims that Gift neglected her child.
On her part, Gift claimed that the husband brought her to Lagos from the village and was taking good care of her. She shared that she welcomed her baby in June this year and that by August she decided to travel home and that when she returned, the couple allegedly started maltreating her.
Gift revealed that the husband asked her to leave their house after accusing her of going out to meet men. She shared that she was thrown out in the night and that when she called the next day to know when to come for her baby, the husband told her she must pay all that they have spent in the hospital which he claimed was N200,000 before she can collect her child. Gift said Mrs Ugbonaya later called her claiming the hospital bill was N5 million and that she must pay the money before she can get her baby back.
She said Mrs Ugbonaya held on to her baby for a month until he died.
