Mixed reactions have trailed a post that was shared online, which brought to light the desperate move a lady made to leave the country.

The incident, which was shared on X (Twitter), revealed how a lady faked her kidnap and then used the ransom money to relocate abroad.

According to the post, the woman initially asked her family to support her plans to travel out of the country (popularly known as japa).

The tweet read: “This lady lied to her family, she was kidnapped, she got the ransom money, and then Japa. Called them from abroad and told them she asked nicely, but they said no money.”

However, she was turned down due to financial constraints. Leading her to fake her own abduction, which prompted her family to raise and send ransom money to ‘secure her release.’

Rather than return home, she reportedly used the funds to process her relocation and called her family only after landing abroad to reveal the truth and justify her actions by claiming she had no other choice.

While some social media users found the story amusing or even clever, others have condemned the act as manipulative and morally wrong.

A Nigerian man has sparked conversation online after sharing a tale about the emotional cost of waiting too long for a long-distance relationship to materialize into marriage.

In sharing a lengthy tweet on X (Twitter), the man recounted the painful experience of a sister, who spent nearly a decade waiting for a fiancé who moved abroad.

According to him, the woman got engaged at 28, just days before her fiancé relocated to the United States.

In the early years, he supported her efforts to join him, paying for trips to Dubai and Kenya in hopes of improving her visa chances, but after four denials, his interest began to fade.

He eventually stopped picking up her calls and married a Nigerian woman over there for papers.

She disclosed in multiple tweets on X (Twitter) that these people obsessively monitor her body and pressure her about pregnancy.

Shared her frustration at the constant scrutiny she’s faced simply for being a married woman without a child.

The pressure has become so intense that even health-related posts are misinterpreted.

She also recalled sharing her long-standing struggles with hyperacidity and acid reflux, only for someone to immediately ask if it was pregnancy-related.

Despite making it clear that kids are a ‘secondary plan’ in her marriage, and even openly sharing her fears about pregnancy, people still choose to ignore her boundaries.

“Since the day I said “I do”, people have been monitoring my stomach. I can’t add weight in peace, or say I do, or be bloated. It must be a crime to be a married woman with no child! I keep imagining how women who are trying feel.

Emotional reactions have trailed a story that was shared online by a man who disclosed how he became a godfather to a set of twins.

In a lengthy tweet shared on X (Twitter), the man stated that he was on his way to work when he noticed a pregnant woman by the roadside in visible distress.

Though she wasn’t speaking, it was clear from her expression and posture that she was in intense discomfort. Despite her condition, passing taxis refused to pick her up.

Moved by her struggle, the man quickly sought help from nearby bystanders to get her into his car, then began driving her to the nearest hospital.

The situation soon turned critical when he glanced in the rearview mirror and saw the woman attempting to deliver the baby herself.

Some moments later, she gave birth to a baby right there in his car; however, the ordeal wasn’t over as she kept saying, ‘It’s remaining one.’

Upon hearing this, he continued driving, focused and shaken, until they arrived at the hospital, where medical staff immediately sprang into action.

Within minutes, the woman gave birth to her second baby, a baby boy, making it a healthy set of twin boys.

He ended the story on a note of gratitude, thanking God for using him as an instrument of help and joyfully declaring that he is now the godfather to the newborn twins.

The story has since gone viral, with many praising his courage and kindness in the face of an extraordinary situation.
