Big Brother Naija star, Sammie has recounted his reaction after being selected as a housemate on the reality show.
The movie director in a Twitter post disclosed that some people are still shocked that he scaled through the auditions and made it to the house despite his speaking disability.
He said when he received the acceptance email, he couldn’t contain his excitement and he alighted from the Keke Marwa he was in to express his joy, to the amazement of those around him.
The 26-year-old stated that his story is very inspiring because of what he has achieved in spite of his speech impairment.

Popular Nigerian singer and music executive, David Adeleke better known as Davido, reportedly turned down Lagos state governor, Sanwo-olu’s invitation to a concert.
According to activist, Rinu Oduala who stated this on Twitter, the DMW boss was invited to perform at a concert in Lagos but the moment he discovered that state government was one of the sponsors he declined.

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing has travelled to London to seek comfort in the arms of her politician boyfriend, Hon Falegan Opeyemi, days after her mum’s burial.
The bereaved actress lost her mum on Thursday, September 23, and the burial procession held over the weekend. It was an emotional event as the actress couldn’t stop weeping over her mum’s death and even passed out at the burial.
Well, the actress has now travelled to London after her boyfriend invited her to ‘come and cry on his shoulder’. She shared a video of the romantic moment he welcomed her at the airport.
In the video, Opeyemi held a bouquet as he awaited the arrival of the actress. Immediately he saw her, he passed under the guard rail separating them and proceeded to give her a long hug with neck kisses.

Nigerian singer, Johnny Drille has taken to social media to address those who feel happy and better about themselves when others are in bad situations.
The singer in a Twitter post stated that such people have a much bigger problem than they realize because that mindset is destructive.
According to him, if they don’t change the mindset, it will eventually destroy them.
He tweeted,

A video which captured the moment actress, Tonto Dikeh’s ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogri was released from police custody, has surfaced online.
This is coming after the politician in an interview, asked his fans and followers to disregard news of his arrest. He insisted that he wasn’t arrested and reports about his arrest are false.
Kpokpogri claimed that he was in his house when news of him being arrested at an Abuja hotel on Monday, October 18th hit the internet. To corroborate his claim he alleged that photos and videos of him being arrested serving rounds online were photoshopped.
However, a video which captured the moment he was released from police custody following the intervention of his friends has now surfaced on the internet.

Meanwhile, men of the Nigerian Police authorities at the Force headquarters in Abuja have disclosed the reason they arrested actress Tonto Dikeh’s ex-boyfriend, Prince Kpokpogiri.
He was arrested on Tuesday morning, October 19, after he reportedly bypassed Police authorities, took two police officers to an hotel where Tonto lodged and thr*atened to open fire at her if she did not hand over the keys of an SUV.
According to Vanguard, Kpokpogiri who is currently facing a pending investigation at Force CID, at a point became vi*lent and was allegedly raining ins*lts and c*rses on the Police officers while all entreaties for him to calm down failed.
The Police told newsmen that his arrest is to enable him to regain his sanity after which he would be questioned on the issue about ownership or otherwise on the vehicle in question.

A Nigerian man has shared how he was stunned at the sudden upgrade he witnessed in the life of a POS operator in his neighbourhood.
The said gentleman took to his Twitter page to reveal that the POS owner recently acquired a Mercedes Benz even though it was technically a month ago he officially started the business.
The Twitter user with handle, @belafeid, in his tweet, wondered about the possibility of the said POS operator indulging in fetish money making acts as he’s having trouble believing that the businessperson acquired the ride out of the proceeds of their business.

He revealed he figured she was in a hotel when he sighted the hotel’s smoke detector during the video call.
When he confronted her about it, in her defense she insisted that she was in love with her boyfriend and even called out his name during the intimate moment with the other man.
Sharing a screenshot of their conversation, he wrote,

One of the victims arrested during the #EndSARS protest memorial at Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos on Wednesday, October 20, has shared his experience after his release from police detention.
The man, identified as Patrick Eholor, reportedly flew in from Canada last week and was arrested while speaking to newsmen during the memorial.
According to him, being in police detention was a dehumanizing experience because there was no restroom, food or water for detainees.
Showing off his broken phone screen which he claimed was damaged by the police officers, Patrick stated that the police will have to pay for the damage.
He further stated that he was in heaven (referring to Canada) last week, and in hell this week.

In the video serving rounds online the pastor made some members of his church, both men and women lay on the floor while he and his assistant flogged them.
Although the location of the church is not stated, the incident is said to have happened in an African country.

#EndSARSMemorial: “Make una help me!” – Cabbie who was assaulted by security operatives breaks down in tears over his seized car (Video)
The cab man in viral video who was assaulted by security operatives at the Lekki Tollgate during the EndSARS memorial on Wednesday, October 20 has taken to social media to cry for help.
The man who identified himself as Adedotun Clement revealed he was in his car going about his work when he heard gunshots and decided to come down from his car to take shelter in a safe place.
However, the police nabbed him as he came down from the car and insisted he entered a Black Maria which he resisted. While he resisted being taken into the Black Maria he was beaten and one of the officers brought out a pepper spray and sprayed it directly in his eyes.
Clement in a video he shared on social media revealed he has been released by the police but he’s yet to retrieve his car that was seized.
In the video the cab man broke down in tears while pleading with Nigerians to help him get back his car; which he described as his only source of income and life.

Speaking in a chat with Punch, the actor stated that the lady in the video is not his daughter and he would never go to such length in real life.
“You should know me by now that I will never do a thing like that. I will want people to zoom into the video, look at the face of the lady and compare it with my daughter. That is not my daughter.

Delta State Govt closes secondary school as suspected cultists kill female student, assault principal, raze properties
The Government of Delta State has announced the immediate closure of Ogume grammar school, Ogume in Ndokwa west council area following an attack by suspected cultists that left a student dead.
A female student of the school lost her life while properties worth millions of naira were destroyed when the suspected cultists attacked the school with all kinds of weapons last week.
The State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs Rose Ezewu, announced the closure of the school on Wednesday, October 20, in Asaba during a meeting held with the leaders of Ogume community.
The Commissioner said that the decision of the state government to close the school was in the best interest of the community and the state in general as it was designed to guarantee the safety of teachers and students of the school.

The Lagos State Neighbourhood Agency (LSNA) has reacted to yesterday’s incident of its officers manhandling an innocent e-cab driver.
The Agency said that “the officers will face an internal orderly trial to determine their culpability in the said event and dealt with if found guilty.”
The full statement reads:
The Management of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Agency has summoned its Officers captured struggling with a fellow arrested in a viral video emanating from the scene of the ENDSARS anniversary.
In the aftermath of the incident, the General Manager of the Agency, Prince Ifalade Oyekan decried the conduct of the Officers as he believed it was below the standard operating procedure of the Agency, especially as it affects the protocol of arrest.
As an Agency striving to meet its role in the THEMES Agenda of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration, the Agency will not condone any form of indiscipline or actions capable of bringing it to disrepute, while it will as a socially responsible management give the Officers the opportunity for fair hearing.
Consequently, the Officers will face an internal orderly trial to determine their culpability in the said event and dealt with if found guilty.
However, in the same vein, the Management of the Agency sincerely apologise to the general public if there was actually any infraction, while promising to ensure that justice is served, as we remain undaunted in our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the good people of Lagos State.
