Ikoyi building collapse: RCCG pastor and his 22 staff allegedly trapped in debris
A pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ola Ogunfuwa, and 22 of his workers are reportedly trapped under the rubbles of the 21-storey building that collapsed in Ikoyi on Monday.
According to a report by Punch, the clergyman who is in charge of the Living Water Parish in Ibafo, Ogun State, was said to be working as a contractor on the project and has not been heard from or been identified among those rescued or brought out dead.
Ogunfuwa’s friend, Omotosho Shola Emmanuel, who confirmed this, said the church is praying and hoping he’s rescued alive.
“I am here this morning because one of my pastor friends is working here, he is an engineer. He came with about 22 people all the way from Ibafo (Ogun State) to work here; labourers, bricklayers, welders, about 22 different guys that came together with him to work on the project.
Till now, out of those that have been rescued, we’ve not seen any of those 22 and he himself is still there because we learnt that yesterday (Monday), at break time, he came out to eat but as he was about washing his hands to eat, he was summoned by one of his bosses and he went back inside but about five to 10 minutes later, the building collapsed and he was trapped. He is still there now and we pray that God will have his way upon those still there.
As a church, we prayed all through yesterday night and we’re still believing that there is nothing God cannot do because we know that people are still many there, they said they are over 50.
The ones they’ve rescued are not up to 10, definitely we are still expecting more people to be rescued,” Omotosho added, praying God will bring more survivors out.” He said

Massive gas leakage in Ikeja (video)
A massive gas leakage has occurred around Computer Village, Awolowo Rd, Oba Akran, Ikeja area of Lagos state on Wednesday morning, November 3rd.
The spokesperson for NEMA (South West), Ibrahim Farinloye, who confirmed this in a statement advised residents to avoid the affected area, or use of anything inflammable.
“Residents around Computer Village, Underbridge Awolowo Way, Oba Akran axis, Anifowose Street, Medical Road, must not open shops or use open naked fire for safety reasons”, he said.
The affected areas include Computer Village, Ikeja Under bridge end of Awolowo Way, Oba Akran axis, Anifowose Street, and Medical Road.

This is coming few months after several people were injured after a gas tanker exploded in the late hours of Thursday, June 17, at Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way in Ikeja, Lagos.
According to an eyewitness, the explosion was caused by a leaking gas tanker that broke down close to a filling station in Ikeja. He said the gas leak caused commotion at the filling station making staffs and customers to fled the scene.

Footballer, Victor Osinhem replies follower who advised him to stop posting memes on social media
Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen has replied a follower who advised him to stop posting memes and viral contents on his social media pages.
The follower gave this advice after the 22-year-old footballer shared a series of memes on his official Twitter page.
Joining the ‘wan dey do’ cruise, Osimhen wrote, “Na Girlfriend way go use her friend test my loyalty I dey find now”.
The Twitter user was apparently displeased with the post and told the footballer to stop sharing things like that on his social media page.
He further advised him to get a social media handler to manage his page like other professional footballers.

Nigerian man shares his mother’s reaction to a photo of him dressed as a girl
A Nigerian man has shared his mother’s reaction after he used a photo of him dressed like a girl as his WhatsApp profile picture.
In the photo, the young man was dressed in a high school girl uniform, a blonde wig and fully made-up face. However, it is unclear if he is a crossdresser or the outfit was his Halloween costume.
Reacting to this, his mom expressed her disapproval with the outfit and pleaded with him to stop the ‘nonsense’.
She also sent him old pictures of them together to remind him of what he looks like as a man, while noting that she gave birth to a male child, not a female child.
From the time lag of the chat, it is deduced that the man didn’t respond to his mom’s messages which made her believe he was angry with her for condemning his appearance.

Man falls into ‘trance’ during prayer session, kills wife and their two children
A 30-year-old Zimbabwean man identified as Leo Kanyimo, reportedly fell into trance during a prayer session and allegedly hacked his wife and two kids to death.
According to reports, Kanyimo was praying with his family in their home, when he fell into trance and suddenly grabbed an axe and hacked them to death.
The unfortunate incident is said to have happened in the Woodlands suburb on Tuesday afternoon, November 2nd.
Eyewitnesses who confirmed that the man was an ardent Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) follower, noted that the couple’s other child escaped the killing.
“We knew him as a prayerful man and yesterday he said they were fasting and praying for one of their children whom he said was possessed by some evil spirits.
“As they were praying in their house, we suddenly heard some screams and when we dashed to the scene, we realized that he was axing his family,” a neighbor, Charles Ngazi told Zimbabwe’s Herald.
Conforming the incident, the National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner, Paul Nyathi said,
“The man in his 30s started having problems in Woodlands, Gweru, and took a log and killed his wife, who was in her 20s, his 10-year-old son and an 18-year-old girl using a log.
“Neighbours heard some noise and saw the man running around with the baby he had killed. They alerted the police at Nehanda Station and he was arrested. We are still investigating the case.”
Distraught mother begs Lagos state govt to help rescue her 25-year-old daughter trapped in the rubble at Ikoyi building collapse
A distraught mother has begged the Lagos state government to help rescue her daughter trapped in the ruins of the Ikoyi 21-storey building collapse.
The woman in an interview with Channels TV, identified her daughter as, Zainab Oyindamola and stated that she has been in the rubble since the building collapsed on Monday, November 1st.
According to her, her daughter, a 25-year-old IT student came out of the site shortly before the collapse to buy food.
Speaking on how she knew her daughter is in the rubble, she said that it was the food vendors who confirmed to her that Zainab was in the building when it collapsed as she returned back to the site after buying food from them.

Meanwhile, an official of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mr Ibrahim, has stated that voices have been heard from under the rubbles of the 21-storey building that collapsed in Ikoyi, Lagos state on Monday, November 1.
Ibrahim in an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday morning, November 2 noted that efforts are being made to rescue the people whose voices have been heard underground.
“Yesterday night we were able to recover another body. We now have five alive, four dead. We had a little break of about one to two hours. By the time we woke up, we were hearing voices underground and that is what we are now trying to do. The heavy weight on top, we want to bring them down to get to them. We have isolated their locations already and we are trying to get to them”. He said.

A video of gospel singer, Yinka Alaseyori coordinating a prayer session on the building that collapsed in Ikoyi days before the incident has surfaced and stirred reactions online.
According to viral report, the developer, Femi Osibona had invited the gospel singer for a praise and worship session over the project that was near completion.
Unfortunately, few days after the prayer session, on Monday afternoon, November 1 the 21-storey building collapsed with many trapped and some dead.
A Twitter user who shared the video on Twitter, wrote,
“This is apparently is a few days ago. A prayer meeting on the rooftop of the uncompleted tower. The developer himself is seen in white.”

“Apparently, he knew there was a problem with the structure but thought he could amend it with his faith. I think the teaching of the place of work in faith is lacking in my many Nigerian churches today.”

Hennessy 250 : Two suspects arrested for manufacturing fake acoholic drinks in Rivers
Men of the Nigerian Police force in Rivers State have arrested two suspected members of a syndicate that specialises in the manufacturing of fake wines and alcoholic drinks in the State.
The suspects, Akhayera Collins and Christian John, were arrested at Eligbolo street in the Rumuokoro area of Obio/Akpor metropolis, near Port Harcourt and were paraded on Monday, 1st November, 2021.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers State, Nnamdi Omoni, said they were arrested following credible information on October 22 at about 3:30 pm.
He said ;
“Exhibits recovered include; assorted wines, spirits, and several alcoholic beverages; including empty bottles waiting to be filled with the poisonous liquid/substances.
The suspects have made useful confessions and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”

Nigerian man seeks advice after his girlfriend of 5 weeks refused to cook for him
A Nigerian man, identified as David Joseph Boyai, has taken to Facebook to seek advise after his girlfriend of five weeks refused to cook for him.
According to him, he has been the one going to the market and cooking for them since they started dating and he doesn’t think it is right.
He said his girlfriend claims she doesn’t know how to cook but he doesn’t believe her because she posts pictures of food she allegedly cooked on her WhatsApp status.

Conjoined twin babies successfully separated after intense 27-hour operation
A successful surgery to separate conjoined twin sister have been recorded in Turkey.
The adorable nine-month-old sisters, named Elizabeth and Mary, left Cameroon for Turkey joined at the hip but have now been separated after a grueling 27 hour operation.
The mother of the twins praised the “extraordinary” medical staff in Istanbul who carefully planned the surgery on 3D models before getting to work on the girls.
According to their parents, the girls who came out the womb attached were living in pain which led to them seeking medical help.
The twins’ father Richard Akwe said: “We were very saddened by the thought of our babies not being able to move around freely and that they were hurting.
“We were also saddened by the crying of our little girls when they were hungry while my wife tried to breastfeed them one by one, but they were a gift to us and we are dedicated to taking care of them in the best way possible.”

If you zoom in closely, you’ll see that my ring finger does not have a fingernail on it again.
It was uprooted from the skin by my husband today the 1/11/2021. Yes, my drunk husband did this. He had beat me so much this night much like so many other nights.
However this night 1/11/2021 was a little different, he was a little more drunk than usual.
He broke down the door to the visitors room where I slept,he started beating me but didn’t stop there, he went for my throat, I tried to fight back he punched me in the face and under my chest. While fighting for my life, I did not know that my finger nail had ripped off. I fought him off . He ran out, threatening to kill me when he returns.
I went to Budo Hospital Sangotedo by 11:30pm on a terribly rainy night to treat the nail to avoid tetanus infection.
I have endured this beatings from my husband even while pregnant, incessant threats that he’ll kill both me and my family. He calls my parents to tell them that he can kill them and nothing will happen.
He had canal knowledge of my younger sister from when she was just 10years old . This happened whenever she came during long vacations to visit me. And it continued until I found out when she was 17 years

Mother arrested for throwing her children inside a well in Osun State
Operatives of the Osun State Police Command have arrested a middle age woman, identified as Omowumi, for throwing her two daughters into a water-filled well, in Koledewo, Osogbo.
Omowumi reportedly dumped the girls, Nimisire Saka, 5, and 8-year-old Darasimi Saka, in the well on Monday night, November 1, because she could not cater for their welfare.
The woman carried the act secretly but she was caught after a Neighbor asked after her children and she could not give a suitable explanation as regards their whereabouts.
She later confessed to have dumped them in the well, but efforts by neighbors and fire service team to rescue them proved abortive, because of the volume of water in the well.
Omowumi revealed that she was residing overseas before she was later deported. Adding that she discovered that the destinies of her daughters have been tampered with when she was away from home, a development that led to her dumping them into the well.
Alleged Money Laundering : Obi Cubana reportedly spends second day with EFCC, passport seized
Yesterday, it was reported that Billionaire socialite, Obi Iyiegbu A.K.A Obi Cubana had been released from EFCC detention.
However, in a new development, it was reported that the Anti-graft agency confiscated the passport of the popular businessman.
Obi Cubana was detained on Monday for alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
It was gathered that the seizure of his travel document was to prevent him from leaving the country while under investigation.
According to The PUNCH, the EFCC quizzed the Anambra-born Entrepreneur for the second day on Tuesday at its Abuja, Jabi headquarters.
A source stated, “Obi Cubana has not been released, he is still having quality sessions with investigators over alleged money laundering running into millions of naira and tax fraud.”

Nollywood Actress and Billionaire Wife, Regina Daniels has publicly disassociated herself from Kayanmata expert, Jaruma.
The mother-of-one took to her social media page on the 3rd of November 2021 to issue a statement where she called out Jaruma for trying to mislead the public by constantly creative contents to “profit off her person even after their deal expired”.
She said she was only contracted to raise awareness for the Jaruma Brand and she has and will never use kayanmata products.

This is for clarity sake…..I have and will never use any kayamata product. Jaruma paid me to help make random posts for her. I personally gave my terms concerning the kind of posts to be made, I was very mindful with my choice of words so as not to mislead the public, I was simply creating awareness for her brand. Along the line, we became friends, I was warned severally to keep her at arms length and mind my association with her but it is not in my nature to judge a person from another’s perspective but in her case I should have known better. She constantly uses every opportunity to create contents to profit off my person and my brand even after our payment deal expired. I tolerated it because I believed I understood her person and felt I should give her the benefit of doubt and maintain a cordial friendship . But This time, I will not tolerate Jaruma using this issue that practically portrays me as a bad person for her selfish desires knowing fully well, that I have NEVER AND WILL NEVER USE whatever she sells as I have no reason to….📌.
