A video from a wedding which held recently captured the emotional moment the bride’s mother knelt down to plead with her in-laws to take care of her daughter.

In the video which found its way to the internet, the bride’s mum is seen kneeling down with tears in her eyes pleading with her daughter’s new family to accept her daughter wholeheartedly and ensure she’s well taken care of.

The bride on seeing her mum in that emotional state was also moved to tears. The video has however stirred positive reactions from social media users.

An Instagram user @lymaroyale wrote, “He reach to knee down. Some in laws are from the pit of hell”.

@sauceprince1, “Very necessary meehn. Because what they’re seeing on social media these days no be joke. I’m also kneeling down, please take care of that LADY”.

@justdamz_, “That’s a Mother’s Love right there, she doesn’t want her daughter to suffer what she might have probably suffered”.

The celebratory message a Secondary school student gave after writing his final WAEC exams has had people wondering if he’ll actually pass the exams given the nature of his message.

The student took to his Facebook page on Wednesday, September 29, to share his excitement after he concluded his WAEC and NECO exams.

The exams which commenced on August 16 will end on September 30, in Nigeria.

Sharing photos with his classmates, he wrote:

“Am happiness. am really give thanks God we start with Bismillah and end with alliamudlliah. am finishing my neco and waec examination I wish myself best of luck and all neco and waec candidate or waec. we are not live our self sinkness all of them can candidate waec and neco examination best of luck.”

His message has had people in doubts that he wrote the exams himself and even if he did, he probably will not get a good grade in English… lol

Dr. Chike J. Akunyili, husband to former NAFDAC DG, Late Prof. Dora Akunyili is d*ad.

It was gathered that he was shot at Nkpor Junction, Idemili North, Anambra State on Tuesday, September 29, by unknown gunmen. It is reported that he had arrived the state to receive an award on behalf of his late wife when the tragic incident happened.

Though details of the incident are still sketchy, a source close to the family said the deceased was still at the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA) where the late Dora was honoured some hours before he was killed.

The source said: “God, pls render the devil and his agents powerless and useless.
“I was with this man yesterday same yesterday at Sharon Hall, All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha. It was an occasion of University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA), Onitsha branch event where they honoured late Dora Akunyili.

“He spoke glowingly about Dora and made a donation of 500k to the association. He was there with his son ,Obum now working with Anambra state government.
“We saw them off to the car and it was emotional when Obum hugged him tight as both of them separated to join their respective vehicles.
“Obum was in a white Hilux while the man was in a big Jeep (i think Prado). God have mercy!”

A e-hailing driver has been given monetary donations from well meaning Nigerians after a passenger shared a positive ride experience with him.

One Ore Afolayan took to his LinkedIn to share the story on behalf of the passenger who had the experience. Afolayan shared how the said passenger, was impressed with how the driver treated him — the driver’s car had sweets, soda, nuts, bottled water, and Wi-Fi that passengers could use for their convenience.

Unlike many other platforms he had used, that of this driver’s taxi took him by surprise. Afolayan shared that the passenger updated his phone with the free Wi-Fi connection and took to social media to tell everyone of his experience.

After the Twitter user shared his experience, people decided to donate money for the driver for his exemplary service and his bank account detail was shared online.

Afolayan shared photos and wrote,

”Yesterday, a Twitter User used an e-hailing service. He was paired with one of the drivers on the platform and they connected. Unlike many other platforms he had used, this driver’s taxi was mind-blowing.

There were sweets, nuts, soda and a wifi in the car. All of these were freebies for a rider. It was unbelievable.

After his ride – where he had updated his phone with the free wifi service, the Twitter User went back to the Internet and told everyone of his discovery. It was unbelievable. Other people who had had an encounter with the driver shared their experiences.

Before long, conversations about monetary donations started to help the driver restock his freebies’ cabinets. His account details was shared online and trust empathetic Nigerians to start donating.

The donations poured and poured. Via a WhatsApp message, he thanked the Twitter User, the donors and wished them all well. Asides the freebies, he was said to be polite and his car had a nice scent.”
