A South-African businessman has taken to his social media page to recount how he built a house for his mother.

According to Twitter user, @Karidas, he worked towards the moment his entire like because he went through real poverty with his mother when he was growing up.

He has now achieved his life-long dream as he completed the new house and welcomed her to her new home.

His post reads ;

I’ve been debating with myself on whether I should share this: I hope this inspires someone out there.
I’ve been working towards this moment my entire life, my mom and I went through real poverty when I was growing up. There were nights where there simply just wasn’t any food left. I’d hear her crying herself to sleep sometimes, and she’d put her head on the pillow because she thought I wouldn’t hear anything. Ever since I was a little kid, I made it a point that I would take care of her.
At the end of last year I asked her to come stay with me for “Covid Reasons”, but really I just wanted time to build & surprise her with a new house. On Mother’s day a few weeks ago she came back & I welcomed her to her new home & invited her close friends. Together with my friend Kabelo (an architect) we designed & oversaw the execution of the house.

The nature of an accident that occurred on Ogudu bridge, Lagos this morning has had people wondering the moments leading to such an accident.

In a series of photos shared by Twitter user, Clemence Eki, a dump-truck is seen in a rather weird position on the bridge — its two front wheels had been plunged over the bridge railings while the rest of its body was on the main road.

A Nigerian man took to microblogging platform, Twitter to narrate a surprising incident that occurred at his home involving his spouse.

According to the gentleman identified as Michael, he was having a conversation with his wife late at night when they heard something that sounded like a burglar trying to break into their home.

After hearing the sound, the action his wife took was much to his surprise — his wife brought out a shotgun he never knew was in the house and dashed towards the door in split seconds.

He wrote,

”Was up late last night making jokes with my wife when we heard noises like someone was trying to break into the house via the kitchen door. Imagine my surprise seeing my wife pointing a 12 guage shotgun I completely know nothing about at the door in split seconds.”

A viral video shows the moment the UK police were called in to intervene after members of a UK-based Nigerian church clashed over stolen funds.

The church members got into a fierce verbal quarrel within the church premises that led to the police being invited.

In the video shared online, the police could be seen leading the accused women to their vehicle as other church members mocked and insulted them.

The members were heard saying, “Ole. Funmi. Ole“, as the police ushered the women to their vehicle.

According to reports, the fighters’ consisted of a Pastor’s wife and a Church member.

A patriotic Nigerian man has claimed he acquired an armoured tank to tackle insurgents in Sambisa and put an end to insecurity in Nigeria.

According to the man who is based abroad, he bought the heavily armored combat vehicle to crush insurgents in Sambisa forest and every criminal causing insecurity in the country.

Showing off the newly acquired armoured tank, he disclosed that it would arrive Nigeria in the next four weeks and the moment it does, he’s heading straight to Sambisa.

A Nigerian Makeup artist has shared the unusual encounter she had with a bride and her church’s rules.

According the make up artist, she went through the stress of “doing a very nice makeup” for her client but the church did not approve of it, and as such, she was asked to take it off.

She shared the video and wrote;

I had an unusual encounter with my bride on Saturday, after Her engagement in the morning i had to take off Her make up for church service , Her church doesn’t permit make up.”

“I was frustrated and angry cos i would have to start the make up from scratch for Her reception and we know the rush is usually epic when they come back from church for reception program… we barely even have enough time for touch ups not to talk of starting the make up afresh …i was anxious cos i had just 10 mins to fix Her make up but then God came through for me.”
