If you have been holding out hope for a PSquare comeback, Peter Okoye just shut that door firmly and walked away from it.
The singer, who performs as Mr P, made his position crystal clear in a brief but pointed exchange on X on Friday morning, leaving fans of the iconic Nigerian duo with little room to read between the lines. When a user going by the handle @Leemon_dmj asked the simple question “Can we just have Psquare back?”, Peter’s reply came quickly and carried no ambiguity whatsoever. “Not with me! Done and Dusted!” he wrote, complete with a thumbs down emoji that felt very much intentional.

Things got a little more heated when another user, @Samkhedira11, jumped in with a dig, suggesting that the brothers’ refusal to reconcile was the reason their solo careers had struggled. “That why you guys have flopped badly,” the user wrote. Peter was not about to let that slide without a response. “Not your flop! Learn to respect people’s decisions! Nothing lasts forever! Change is constant!” he fired back.
It is a saga that has become one of the more exhausting chapters in Nigerian music. Peter and his twin brother Paul Okoye built PSquare into one of the biggest acts to ever come out of Africa, with a catalogue of hits that defined a generation.

Their split in 2017 broke a lot of hearts, so when they reconciled in 2021, the celebration was loud and genuine. But the reunion did not hold. By 2024, the brothers had fallen out again and have since been going their separate ways as solo performers.
Whether Paul has any different feelings about a potential reunion remains to be seen. But as of this morning, Peter’s answer is final, and he said it himself: done and dusted.
