Daddy Freeze has responded to the Senior Pastor of Kingsway Internatonal Christain Centre (KICC), Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, after he called the former a “yoyo”, and accused him of beating up his wife and son, while preaching about tithe.
Ashimolowo during his sermon said;
“Once and for all let’s settle this matter, on the power of the tithe. Some bunch of yoyo somewhere should not determine what you pay. Some guy who beats his wife, throws her out, throws his children out of the house, broke his son’s knees, should not determine what we believe. He drinks alcohol, sleeps with women and he’s trying to preach”
Replying Freeze wrote;
“Haaaaaa! Has it come to this?
See the way he is defending tithing with so much passion, I hope this same passion is extended to bringing home our brothers who are currently enslaved in Libya.
I didn’t hear ONE single bible verse, just sentiments and emotions in this defense.
Who is this ‘Yoyo’ now? Mention his name make we know am.?and I hope there is proof to back these allegations up and they are not just ‘hear say’ from an false interview conducted on an embattled pot of stale bitterleaf soup.
Whoever the ‘yoyo’ is, one thing is certain, he cannot determine what the body of Christ believes, only the BIBLE can do that, so until you can come out with a superior argument to explain where Jesus our high priest, or the disciples our first pastors collected tithes, it looks like the ‘yoyo’ is the one speaking the biblical truth and no amount of subbing or name calling can override the scriptures.
If the ‘yoyo’ drinks alcohol, lets remember Jesus drank alcohol too.. he was called a drunkard by the Pharisees.. the teachers of religious law who burdened the people with unbearable religious yokes and put up similar fights when Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple!

The funniest part of the story is that majority of the people that are supporting Freeze are Christians. Gosh! What do they want other people from other religions to be saying.
Tithe is not something someone should be telling you where to pay or not. If you pay it fine and if you don’t it will be between you and God cos have never seen a pastor or head of a church that will point gun towards his members because they failed to pay their tithe. I think is a personal decision.
My people perish for lack of knowledge!

If we are to pay tithe according to Bible we should be paying 23%. Of which 13% doesn’t go to the pastor.

But why is Abraham’s tithe different from what Moses preached.
Did Abraham pay tithe on the blessings God gave him in Genesis 13 and Genesis 20. Why did he only tithe on what he got in Genesis 14?
How many times did Abraham tithe throughout his 175 years on earth.
Was Abraham the first man to tithe?
Because you read only 3-4 verses on tithing you feel you have known it all.
Yes, you can pay tithe and be blessed just as you can be doing something wrong or outdated and get results.

I believe Jesus hadn’t finished his leading, so through the leading of the holy spirit’s direction he sent those I mentioned. The message through the holy spirit is what the Lord is speaking today, and the holy spirit backs up scripture in the old and new testament, because God is of the old and new. Our salvation is through the new covenant,we could not be saved in the old testament because we didn’t exist.Jesus(God) is the same yesterday and forevermore, meaning he doesn’t change his word. He came in the new to capture the new (us) but he is also in the old as well. The Pharisees like today, didn’t give him time to finish his work, and it was so difficult then, so much culture like today that he came up against, so there are a lot of things to think of surrounding what happened in bible times, Jesus even said earlier on in Cana, my time had not yet come, there is a time for every teaching to be spoken, and that is why Jesus said he will be sending others along.
Each dispensation I believe comes with those he sent, the world has not ended as yet, so we are still in the new testament, that has not been finished, otherwise we wouldn’t exist. No one carried on writing the bible because the instructions at the end was to not add, or might I say, take away. The bible is our guide to what our prophets and teachers bring. If it were just the new testament, we would operate in the new only, but God wanted us to discern both. It comes by your relationship with God, a relation is a connection, a connection is an understanding, an understanding is believing.
