A Nigerian makeup artiste has taken to Twitter to reveal what she witnessed at her client’s wedding on Saturday, May 29.
The lady, identified as @Queenyetty1_ on Twitter, said the bride’s family refused to commence the wedding ceremony because the groom failed to pay the full bride price.
According to her, the bride’s family had requested for N150k for their daughter’s bride price, however the groom defaulted and brought N100k instead.
She said they rejected the money and stopped the DJ from playing music.
Fortunately, the wedding eventually started around 4pm after much back and forth between both families.
The lady further alleged that the reason behind the bride’s family’s action is because the groom is a Yoruba man and they didn’t want their daughter to marry from a Yoruba family.
